History
Edit
These conflicts were the decisive factor that led the Core Worlds to develop the Galactic Constitution and the Coruscant Accords to merge into the Galactic Republic in 25,053 BBY. Between then and the Wars' end, they served to expand the young Republic into the Colonies and beyond, beginning the gradual assimilation of the galaxy into the Republic.
The conflicts
Edit
Little about the clash was known. The Azure Imperium's existence lead Xenoarchaeologists and Historians to speculate that it was one of the factions. A list of the political powers included Coruscant, Corellia, Duro, Alsakan, Kuat, and Alderaan. The Jedi Archives included records and first-person accounts of the Unification Wars.
Behind the scenes
Edit
The non-canon Book of Imperial Shuttle Plans: Cygnus Spaceworks mentions a conflict called the "Unification Wars of 3,817." The 2009 Star Wars Annual mistakenly claims that the Unification Wars occurred "a thousand years before the Battle of Naboo", which would place it as having occurred in 1,032 BBY.
