[edit] History
These conflicts were the decisive factor that led the Core Worlds to develop the Galactic Constitution and the Coruscant Accords to merge into the Galactic Republic in 25,053 BBY. Between then and the Wars' end, they served to expand the young Republic into the Colonies and beyond, beginning the gradual assimilation of the galaxy into the Republic.
The Unification Wars began during the early years of the Expansionist Era. It may have included the First Great Schism (c. 24,500 BBY) and the Tionese War (c. 24,000 BBY).
The Jedi Archives included records and first-person accounts of the Unification Wars.
[edit] Behind the scenes
The non-canon Book of Imperial Shuttle Plans: Cygnus Spaceworks mentions a conflict called the "Unification Wars of 3,817." The 2009 Star Wars Annual mistakenly claims that the Unification Wars occurred "a thousand years before the Battle of Naboo", which would place it as having occurred in 1,032 BBY.
