The Unification Wars was a conflict that led to the formation of the Galactic Republic that were fought prior to the government's founding in 25,053 BBY. The symbol of the Bendu monks was used during the conflict.
Behind the scenesEdit
The non-canon Book of Imperial Shuttle Plans: Cygnus Spaceworks mentions a conflict called the "Unification Wars of 3,817." The 2009 Star Wars Annual mistakenly refers to the New Sith Wars as the Unification Wars, claiming the the Unification Wars occurred around 1,032 BBY.
The Unification Wars were first mentioned in the reference guide 'Revenge of the Sith: Incredible Cross-Sections, which claimed that the conflict led to the Republic's founding and saw the first use of the Bendu symbol. However, the Unification Wars have been entirely ignored by all subsequent sources, most of which contradict the idea of such a conflict.
