The Unification Wars was a conflict that led to the formation of the Galactic Republic.
The conflict was fought prior to the galactic government's founding in 25,053 BBY. The warlord Zakrinand Minus fought for one of the sides in the wars. The symbol of the Bendu monks was known to be used during the conflict.
Behind the scenesEdit
The non-canon Book of Imperial Shuttle Plans: Cygnus Spaceworks mentions a conflict called the "Unification Wars of 3,817." The 2009 Star Wars Annual mistakenly refers to the New Sith Wars as the Unification Wars, claiming they occurred around 1032 BBY.
The Unification Wars were first mentioned in the reference guide Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross-Sections, which claimed that the conflict led to the Republic's founding and saw the first use of the Bendu symbol. However, the Unification Wars were ignored by all subsequent sources, most of which contradict the idea of such a conflict. The blog post "The Imperial Warlords: Despoilers of an Empire" was the first source to mention the conflicts, giving additional details about the conflict.
