Plot SummaryEdit

Darth Vader informs Lando Calrissian he must keep Princess Leia Organa and Chewbacca on Cloud City and threatens to leave a garrison behind. Later, Vader's logistics officer Lieutenant Djirra hears a rumor about the garrison and considers the possibility of having to set it up. He also notes that Captain Treece would be the ideal commanding officer.

On Coruscant, General Sendo—an Imperial officer in Black Sun's employ—meets with Xizor to report Vader left a garrison on Cloud City and failed to capture Luke Skywalker. Xizor is pleased to hear the news, even though he heard it before from five other informants.
