Um, err, what do I write here that hasn't been written in the Bob Vitas article on the Wookieepedia? Well, just follow the "About the Author" link there and you'll get my sorta-in-universe mini-bio.

Beyond the basics, I'm a member of the Wookieepedians because the team here has worked hard to develop a good working relationship between what would otherwise be competing or rival sites. I started the Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia in 1991, so I get bragging rights for longevity. However, the Wookieepedia is catching up quickly in terms of sheer content.

Both sites have their place in the Star Wars fan universe, and I'm glad to be a part of both.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to name the Hamadryas race, as part of the What's The Story campaign on the official website's Hyperspace section. The entry was actually that of Cebann Veekan, which was written by blogger DJ Maul.

I also have a Star Wars character named for me: Vob Bitas. Although the character was killed off as soon as it was created, I was able to expand on his history in the inaugural issue of the Star Wars Outsider.

Those two things pale in comparison, though, with being chosen to help out with The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia. That was the best thing a Star Wars fan could ask for!
