I'm Will and I'm from Birmingham, England. As you have perhaps gathered I'm a rather big fan of the good ol' Z-95 Headhunter, maybe excessively so. This particular username is the one I use over at X-Wing Alliance Upgrade forums, the community I'm most regular at. As with just about everyone here, I'm sure, I'm a big Star Wars fan, but I suppose that goes without saying really. I also like thinking up fanon, though getting it written down before I move on to something else is something that doesn't tend to happen all that much. One day I'd love to turn it all into a book that would actually be licensed (nothing wrong with dreaming).

Since finding out how to get decent looking sigs, I'm very happy.

For anyone interested, this is the list of my contributions. Mostly it's either game or ship based, and the majority are a combination of the two.

The first article I actually created, way back when I was still operating as an IP, was: Zaletta, kinda shows the way the trend went.

[edit] Good Stuff

  • Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance, the first Star Wars game i got (I think), and the last of the amazing X-Wing series.
  • The Rogue Squadron/Wraith Squadron book series, especially Starfighters of Adumar, the second greatest book series written...
  • ...which brings me on to the greatest, the Thrawn trilogy, instant proof that Timothy Zahn IS the best EU writer.
  • Star Wars: Republic Commando, I don't know what it is about this game, but its bloody brilliant and probably my most replayed game, there's just something about that squad I really like.
  • Everything Knights of the Old Republic, the games, the comics, it's all brilliant.
  • HK-47, he deserves his own mention, along with Jolee Bindo to be fair.
  • The Empire Strikes Back, quite possibly my favourite film of all time, certainly the best in the saga.
  • The Empire, in all its glorious expanse
  • Star Destroyers, 'nuff said

[edit] Bad Stuff

  • Might as well get it out the way, NJO onwards. Yes I know its canon and I really should deal with it, but I honestly don't see why people can't understand that the whole point of ROTJ was that Luke destroyed the Sith, end of!!! What makes it worse is that there are so many great ideas in the series, like killing off a major character (but NOT Anakin Solo, if the reasons I hear are true, it's almost insulting really); the Vong were a decent idea, but why recycle all the old characters? Let them age in peace!
  • Oh, and the New Rebellion and Crystal Star while I'm on the subject of dodgy books.
  • Greedo shot first, yes I know it's become something of a cliche on forums and userpages everywhere, but it's true! I have no problem with any of the other changes, in fact I welcome most of them, but when you change the very image of a character, and weaken the effect becoming a 'good guy' had on him, I don't really see the point.
  • No sequel to Republic Commando, uh, Imperial Commando anyone? How awesome would that be, and I want to find out what happened to Sev!!
  • Midichlorians, dropped the ball a bit there, didn't we George?
  • Legacy (again), I have to say it. Imagine if in the last episode of friends, they'd all been hit by a bus, or if they made a film about an elderly James Bond choking to death on his vomit. There's about the same amount of dignity in the legacy series. I just think that when it gets to the point when you can only milk money out of a franchise by undoing all the good work better authors (with a few worse to be fair) have spent years building up. When people make a worthwhile contribution to the Star Wars universe, then they can take things away! There's a 3000 year gap with nothing in it, fill that with crap instead.
