Hey there, <insert name here>!

Welcome to my user page. The name's Mia. How's it going?

So, I guess this is where I say a few things about myself, am I right? Hmmm, let's see...
Well, I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan. Surprise, surprise, right? Well, "big" as in my love for the franchise, not "big" as in me, personally. See that infobox? Five foot tall, that's it. Tiny. A whole lot of girlish nerdiness, and not a whole lot of room to pack it in. But anywho... ;P

I love the Jedi, probably because I've always had a thing for superheroes and guys with special powers. Who doesn't, y'know what I mean? But I'm also a pretty big Mandalorian fan, probably because of the flipside: it's cool to see characters without powers being just as badass. I absolutely love what Karen Traviss has done with them, and I blame the character of Kal Skirata personally for getting me interested in the first place. I know Jedi and Mandos don't usually go together, but I don't really care; they're both awesome, no need to fight over who's better or worse. It's a Superman/Batman thing if you ask me—you love each for a different reason. Speaking of loves, I've loved clone troopers since they first stepped off the gunship in Episode II being the big damn heroes that they are, and that little love affair's only grown stronger since reading the Republic Commando series where they're really developed as characters. May they never go back to the days of having no lines but "Yes sir! Right away!"

The Clone Wars era as a whole is my favorite time period, and also my area of greatest interest when it comes to my Star Wars fiction. The old Dark Horse Clone Wars comics are amazing and—gasp!—yes, I am a fan of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which is a pretty good show...once the EU genius get done smoothing out all the wrinkles. Mandalore and Ventress, anybody? Sheesh! I'm a self-proclaimed expert when it comes to the Grand Army of the Republic and all of its ships and gear. Nobody has yet refuted that claim, so I must be doing something right, I guess. I love finding new battles and skirmishes and missions on here to read about. The moral ambiguity of some of the Separatists and political maneuvering by Palpatine during the time also contributes heavily to my liking of the Clone Wars period. Not to mention that some of the best Jedi lived during the time. Looking at you Quinlan Vos, looking at you... Order 66 sucked big time, but just for the record, I don't blame the clone troopers. They got played like everybody else. Now that I finally own all the Star Wars: Legacy comics, you can definitely count me as a huge fan of that period of the universe, too.

Fitting with my love for Mandos, I know a pretty good bit about them too. I kinda sorta wrote the article on them, and that only led to working my way through the Wook's numerous neglected Mandalorian-related articles in order to bring them up to a higher quality. It's a big job, but somebody's gotta do it.

Outside of Star Wars, I'm a 24 year old bartender at a bar/grill in Los Angeles, California. People tend to think I'm a pretty cool person. I mostly tend to agree. ;P I like just about every kind of music, and I'm not just one of those people who say that. Jimmy Buffet, Jay-Z, Godsmack, Linkin Park, John Williams—you name it, I'll probably be listening to it at some point. I love having fun whether going to the beach, going out to bars and clubs, or just hanging out at home with a couple good friends or one really good book. It's all good as far as I'm concerned. I'm sort of a gamer girl, as my list of games below can probably attest to. Lately I've really fallen for the Mass Effect games, and have found myself getting rapidly pulled into the growing universe of books and comics. The same goes for the Assassin's Creed series, which has inadvertently gotten me a little more interested in real-world history, and helped hone a few of my political/philosophical ideals. :D
