Breathesgelatin was a human female. As such, this made her a rarity in the Star Wars Fandom. Her first exposure to Star Wars was seeing the Special Edition movies in the theatres when she was a teenager. She's been hooked ever since. Star Wars is currently her primary fandom; she was once heavily involved in the Harry Potter fan community but was scared off by the massive amounts of pron. Nonetheless she is excited about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. However, she has an alternate (non-internet) life as a sorority-girl-type and has only recently come out of the closet as a Star Wars geek to her real-life friends. She also reads DC Comics (Wonder Woman! among others) and watches a bunch of TV shows about high schoolers and/or people that act like high schoolers (One Tree Hill, Smallville, Veronica Mars, America's Next Top Model, etc.). More recently she has become interested in Battlestar Galactica. She enjoys blogging and invites any Wookieepedians who hang out on livejournal to friend her there. She lives in Austin, Texas and is a Ph.D. student in European history, more specifically seventeenth-century French history. This means she reads a lot, writes a lot, grades a lot, and whines about reading, writing, and grading a lot. She would also totally smooch Quinlan Vos. Or hell, Deliah Blue for that matter.

My areas of specialty are the KOTOR comics (along with any of the newer comic series, I subscribe to them all), any female SW characters, and post-ROTJ EU. I know squat about the Clone Wars and think troopers of any kind are overrated. I like everything Hapan, especially Tenel Ka. I tend to police Improvement drive, Featured Articles, and other community discussions quite a bit. In line with this, I am an Inquisitor. I am an editor at the NEGTC WookieeProject and I'm also hoping to contribute to the Published Works Improvement Project eventually (when they get to stuff I've actually read). My major role at Wookieepedia, however, is that of an editor and reader of others' work. I'm especially concerned with improving diction on our site; it's one of our weakest points. Furthermore, I hang out on IRC not infrequently.
Finally, everyone should read this essay.
