All along the watchtower
Once they landed on Vaced, the Clone troopers and Kungarama disembarked the Hasty Harpy at Vaced Spaceport. They were confronted by a swoop gang looking to collect insurance payments, but Kungarama used a mind trick to force them to dispense. "Sharp" then offered to be a lookout, but Kungarama asked him to search the ship for a transmitter. Cleaver found the tracking device but it was forgotten in the following events. The Kynachi leader and his pilots soon landed nearby, but was hit by a sniper as he was disembarking. The Clones ran for cover while Kungarama chased after the sniper.[2]
The Clones went back on the Hasty Harpy to rescue the Padawan after he fought the sniper, a Mandalorian. The Harpy was attacked by the Mandalorian's transport. The Harpy shot down the other vessel but was damaged in the process and crashed near Vaced's spaceport. Breakout Squad and Captain Gunn parted ways; the Republic troopers, along with the rogue swoop rider, [[Giz man]], took the deceased Kynachi ambassador's ship. Kungarama had found a belt belonging to his Master, Ambase, which had an imagecaster with coordinates leading to Bilbringi Depot. The Clones arrived there and captured Techno Union Overseer Umbrag. After the facility was secured, Chiss Ambassador Veeren arrived. She revealed that it was she who had planted the tracking device Cleaver still carried on his chassis, and that it appeared someone was manipulating Breakout Squad. Kungarama was confused, but Veeren left just as quickly as she arrived. As her ship was preparing to jump to hyperspace, a Kuat Drive Yards Corona-class transport arrived. Veeren's shp fired on the Corona; return fire from the Kuat transport destroyed her ship. Kungarama Force sensed that his missing Master, Ambase, was onboard the Corona. Breakout Squad could only watch while Ambase's ship fled.[2]
A hidden battle droid then surprised them by shooting Chatterbox in the back. Kungarama bisected the droid with his lightsaber, then ordered the Clones to search the depot for more droids. "Sharp" offered to search the hatch. Once inside the empty corridor, he removed his helmet and reverted to his true form. He thought what would have happened if the droid had shot him instead. Taking a deep breath and replacing his helmet, he adopted his Sharp disguise again and returned to the others.[2]

The Starcrusher trap

- "I've defied the Chancellor's orders. It's that rebellious streak of mine you keep cautioning me about, I'm afraid."
" Bless that rebellious streak! For once, you're right where I want you!" - ―Skywalker and Kenobi
During the war, Kenobi and Skywalker infiltrated a Separatist munitions factory on an asteroid. Skywalker joked that he had forgotten the explosives as Kenobi used his lightsaber to cut into the factory. Once inside they were surrounded by battle droids, but the two Jedi destroyed them and ventured deeper into the factory. Skwyalker threw the explosives into the station's reactor, and the resulting exlosion brought down the shields.[3]
Three Republic Venator-class star destroyers led by Captain Trask moved into position to destroy the factory, but the Separatist battleship Starcrusher ambushed the destroyers. The two Jedi were unaware of the destruction of the Republic fleet, and Skywalker called for extraction. The Jedi Knight Jyl Somtay, piloting a T-6 shuttle, arrived to pick them up. The three Jedi were able to fly past the Starcrusher and return to Coruscant, where the Jedi Council decided to send a team to hunt down the dangerous Separatist vessel, which included Kenobi, Somtay, Master Windu, Master Mundi, and Skywalker's Padawan. Chancellor Palpatine contacted Grand Master Yoda, and asked for the services of Skywalker.[3]

- "We should be flattered, actually...that they went through all this trouble just to get rid of us. But burning to death...that'll be bad. Freezing would be better. At least you'd be numb. "
"That's enough, Master Somtay! Remember your training! We are Jedi! We do not succumb to despair. We will escape. Is that clear? "
"Y-yes, Master Windu...but how? "
"I don't know yet." - ― Somtay and Windu
Around the year 21 BBY,.[3], Somtay joined on an attack against a Separatist munitions factory. She recovered Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker after their fleet of Venator-class destroyers were obliterated by the Separatist battleship Starcrusher. Somtay piloted a T-6 shuttle into hyperspace past the Starcrusher. Upon their return to Coruscant, the Jedi Council decided to send a strike team to destroy the Starcrusher. The strike team consisted of Masters Kenobi, Master Mace Windu, and Ki-Adi-Mundi, along with Somtay and Skywalker's Padawan, Ahsoka Tano. Skywalker was sent to the planet Daltarri at the behest of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine.[3]
The strike team, along with three Venator-class Star Destroyers, attacked a Separatist refueling ship in [[Realspace]|deep space]]. The Jedi team left one of the warships in a T-6 shuttle and Somtay flew them under the refueling ship's detection grid. The Starcrusher then arrived, and the Republic ships left. The Jedi team snuck aboard the refueling ship as the Starcrusher Admiral Kirst launched reinforcements. The refueling ship's Captain Jorm met the squad of B2 super battle droids as they came onboard. Once the droids were out of sight, the Jedi attacked the droids and used their shells as a disguise. The strike team then took the droid's Sheathipede-class shuttle to board the Starcrusher. Once aboard, the Jedi left their disguises. The crew of the Separatist warship detected their presence, and Admiral Kirst ordered his crew to abandon ship—the ship the Jedi had boarded was a decoy. When the Jedi went back to the hangar, the shuttle exploded. The Jedi were stuck onboard with a failing life support, and the decoy was heading into the nearby star.[3]
Tano and Somtay split off from the others to explore the ship. They discovered a Separatist officer, Lieutenant Daan. Somtay tried a mind trick on the woman, but the crew had been conditioned to resist such tricks. The two Jedi convinced her to help them. Daan showed the Jedi a cache of space suits. Kenobi was then contacted by Skywalker, who had arrived after feeling a premonition of danger on Dalltarri. Just then, the real Starcrusher arrived. Kenobi came up with a plan to escape. He had the strike team pull up wire as Skywalker attacked the warship. Kenobi succeeded in magnetizing the decoy's hull and drew the real ship in. The strike team escaped from the decoy as both Separatist warships were drawn into the star, and the team was picked up by a tow cable from Skywalker's starfighter. The team later returned to the Jedi Temple, and Somtay and Tano planned on going out for caf and "girl talk."[3]

- "Nuru Kungurama, I presume?"
- ―The impostor to Nuru Kungurama, just prior to his assassination
In 21 BBY,[5] a Black Sun member impersonated Commissioner Langu Sommilor. He and two others assaulted Langu Sommilor and his pilots on the landing pad on the planet Kynachi. The impostor, a male individual, in his guise of Sommilor, a male Kynachi, traveled to the planet Vaced to meet with his escort to Coruscant, the Jedi Nuru Kungurama. Once on Vaced, the impostor greeted Kungurama, and was almost immediately assassinated by a Mandalorian sniper. Kungurama pursued the sniper and eventually appeared to defeat him. Believing that the impostor really was Sommilor, Kungurama had his clone trooper team Breakout Squad stow his body onboard his freighter and intended on returning it to Kynachi. The ship was then used to transport the team to Bilbringi Depot.[4] After the battle, the droid Cleaver found the real Langu Sommilor and his pilots, who were unconscious and tied up in the freighters hold. Breakout Squad checked the body and realized it had a synthskin mask and gold wig. The body of the impostor was turned over to Republic Intelligence for identification. Although he had a Black Sun tattoo on his forearm, his body had not been identified after four days.[6]

- "And here I thought you were a cautious man, Captain.
One day I'd like to be. For now, I want a word with that tac. In person." - ―ap-Orwien and Rex
A battle took place on Ereesus between the Ereesus Planetary Security Forces and the Galactic Republic and the Separatists around 21 BBY. A squad led by Sergeant Palola was captured. CT-7567 led a team to recover them, acting on secret signals understood only by Lorrdians. The clone troopers freed the captives and took the tactical droid's head.
