I am a new contributor here, but have used Wookieepedia as a reference for many years. I am a Star Wars fan and toy collector and have been since I was about five (1978). My first two figures were Chewbacca and R2-D2 on 12-backs. I kept the cards for many years although I played with the toys at once. I didn't see Star Wars until sometime later, but I was hooked. Star Wars may very well have been the first movie I ever saw in a theater - I honestly don't remember one any earlier.

I own over 2000 Star Wars action figures, ships and creatures and I am working on a database to catalog all of them. One goal I have is to correctly identify every action figure weapon, with the help of Wookieepedia. So far it has been a daunting but rewarding task.

I have been married 14 years to a woman who tolerates my Star Wars obsession and have four kids who enjoy it almost as much as I do.
