From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
In his natural form Esta resembles a large snail with a pale blue shell, and spiderlike legs covered with thick brown fur. While he is not a true shapeshifter like the Shiido race, Esta is a natural master of illusion and is capable of making himself generally appear however he likes. Precisly how the illusion is percieved can vary greatly between viewers, details such as height, build, and clothing will defer depending on whom is looking at him. He always appears very young, between eight and fourteen, with fair skin, and most commonly is seen with blonde hair of varying lengths. While only an illusion, the facade seems quite real, and Esta will feel pain if an illusionary part is damaged. Esta can repair any such wounds by simply dropping and retaking the shape, however this will reveal his true Croke self, and put him in considerable risk during battle.
The Averu's lived on a planet near the outer rim, and over the decades the two of them sparked a war that would engulf much of the planet. In the end the treachery of the snail-like creatures was revealed, and after a final struggle they were jetisoned from the airlock of their ship. This very well should have been the end of them, however the survival ability of the Croke is great, and while they were incapacitated in the void, they indeed lived on. As fate and gravity would have it, the two Crokes neared a decrepit shuttle, and managed to force themselves onboard. It was in bad shape, but nevertheless they managed to crashland on a nearby planetoid. Esta was born on this small sub-world, and from the moment he could think, he was bored of it. Esta would frequently lay in a small forest and watch the stars, wishing that he could leave the planetoid; and finally his wish was granted.
A Dark Jedi by the name of Epsilion's ship had been damaged on route to his home planet, and he was forced down on the small planetoid. Esta attempted to trick the Sith and sneak abourd, but Epsilion knew his true nature immediatly, and dismissed him. This however was a ruse as well, and the moment he "turned his back" Esta snuck aboard. As they left the planetoid Epsilon suddenly broke the silence, telling Esta that he could leave his hiding place, and the young Croke cautiously crawled out into the open. It seemed Epsilon had felt a glimmer of force potential within him, and wished to see precisly what he was capable of. The two arrived at Epsilon's training site, and after many days of tests Epsilon offered Esta the chance to become his Padawan. Esta was overjoyed by this and gladily accepted, he also began to hold an illusionary form continually to make training more conveniant.
Unfortunatly for Esta, his first real mission took a turn for the worst, and Epsilon was slain by an unexpected Jedi intrusion. As his master fell, Esta Averu fell into utter madness, lashing out in a fury against the two jedi with his master's saber. Being only a youngling the Jedi did not want to hurt him, and simply defended themselves against the Croke's barrage. Finally Esta realized he was outclassed, and reluctantly withdrew. Esta was only a beginner pilot, but he still managed to return to the training ground; and is said to have spent nearly a week within his old home in mourning. Esta Averu has sworn a vendetta against all jedi, and has devoted himself to destroying them at any cost. He is only an apprentice in skill, yet in respect to the late Epsilon he has refused to take another master. Esta's saber is also of note, a highly ornate weapon, it dates back to the Sith Empire and has seen active use since that time.
While the two have not met, Esta has a cousin by the name of Elvir whom is also force sensitive. Elvir was the son of a powerful Croke crimelord, whom was lost in a gang war. Raised by a human and bothan couple, Elvir has emerged as a very kind and considerate person. He is also highly emotional however, and after experiencing both sides of the force he has dedicated himself to his own path; Elvir is considered a traitor by the Sith, and a dessenter by the Jedi. Unlike the Jedi Elvir believes in using his emotions to influince his abilities, however he is still quite in control.
Like his cousin, Elvir weilds a saber from the Sith Empire, that was granted to him by the spirit of an ancient Dark Lord. Though he renounced the Dark Side in the end, this Lord's cruel acts in the past bound him to his saber; he believes that if Elvir uses this blade for good he may someday be freed to join with The Force. Elvir's primary rival is a teenage Shiido by the name of Perhril Tris, whom wields two modified ancient sabers; capable of acting as high powered blasters as well as blades. Perhril knows well of the ancient Darth Traya, and is a firm believer that the Force is a manipulative blight to the universe. Blaming the Force for the battles that claimed his parents' lives, Perhril has dedicated himself to finishing Traya's ambition of killing the Force itself.
"Compassion beyond the Jedi; Loyalty beyond the Sith; Remorse beyond Oblivion. A dance which will eclipse all of space..." These words were recorded by a force sensitive prophet long ago, and was part of an epic poem titled "The Ballad of Ragnarok". While not hugely known, some believe this three way struggle is still yet to occur...
