I gotta get out of here!

This user is taking a Wookieevacation until mid December due to academic life.

They may still contribute, but not as much as they usually do. In addition, administrators may not respond as quickly.

"What I did, <insert name here>, I did for all of us."
I'm working on Kyp Durron at the moment

Come, step into my demesne

I am currently unable to access my treasured collection of 102 Star Wars novels, 4 reference books and 3 comics until December. I will continue to help out the Wook, but am obviously hampered. -- Harrar (Cut the comm chatter) 19:25, October 1, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Epiphany and end

"Leave me here. Let me become a part of this."
"You
are a part of this."
"So are you. And part of me. Don't forget. Wanted to tell you about Sekot. It's what—
"
―Nen Yim dies on Zonama Sekot[src]

Once Anor had departed, Nen Yim began crawling away from the clearing, only to collapse after a few meters. The sun had almost set by the time Tahiri Veila came looking for Yim and found the mortally wounded shaper lying in the grass. As she lay dying, Yim managed to apprise the Jedi Knight of Yu'shaa's true identity and the sabotage he planned to inflict on the living world. Knowing that she was too far gone, Yim refused medical aid and asked to be left to die, so that she could become a part of Zonama Sekot. The master shaper used her last breaths to attempt to inform Veila of the link between Sekot and the Yuuzhan Vong but was unable to do so; Yim's voice fell silent moments before her life came to an end.[1]

[edit] Who am I?

I'm a Wookieepedian who specializes in New Jedi Order era, mainly due to my lack of reference guides beyond The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, The New Essential Guide to Characters and The New Jedi Order Sourcebook. Don't let that fool you into thinking I'm a new age aficionado; I've been collecting books since I had pocket money and have pretty much everything chronologically from Path of Destruction to Omen. Less strong on comics, though I do own Crimson Empire and Tales of the Jedi.

Anyway, my focus on the New Jedi Order era is both pragmatic and due to the fact that I have an interest in the period and feel that the articles pertaining to it are often underwhelming. Therefore I've taken a few choice Yuuzhan Vong characters to FA status, and try my hand at New Jedi Order Jedi on occasion. I had a break from September of 2008 until January 2009 but other than that I have contributed since September 2007.

I'm also a member of the Inquisitorius, a body of Wookieepedians who review articles which are up for Featured Article status.

I am an immediatist, which means I'm more concerned by the state of Wookieepedia as it is now, rather than what it will become. This sometimes guides my frenetic schedule as I jump to and fro from articles as I find them deserving work. Not everything I have written to completion is an FA or GA, as sometimes I don't feel it's worthy of being so.

[edit] Notes

"No heroics, Ulaha. That's an order. Just drop Two-One-S and go."
"It's okay Anakin. This is the right thing.
"
―Anakin Solo and Ulaha Kore[src]

Walter Jon — "I intended for Maal Lah to lose a leg but not his life. I didn't want to kill off too many of the Lahs, I'll leave that for other writers in the series." - http://boards.theforce.net/authors_artists/b10347/5816776/p28

[edit] Priestly thoughts

"Warmaster, we think too often in terms of dualism: Jedi or Sith, light or dark, right or wrong. But there are three sides to this blade, not two, opposed and similar at the same time. The third edge is the Mandalorian."
―Vergere, delivering an anachronistic, filthy load of shit dialogue.[src]
  • Hmmm if Miko Reglia, Wurth Skidder, and Daeshara'cor (Me) all got FA'ed alongside Octa Ramis (Cav), Ganner Rhysode (Havac) and Kyp, then Kyp Durron's radicals would be complete. Maybe chuck in Waxarn Kel and Numa Rar, alongside Alema and we've got all the dissident NJO Jedi. Cooool.
  • And if anyone's wondering, I will finish Tsavong Lah once I can bring myself to read through Traitor and the Enemy Lines Duology and try to hash together a timeline for that part of his life. He also needs a P&T. Gugh.
  • Nandreeson and Cole Fardreamer need some work.
  • The Second Galactic Civil War is a joke on this site. Why we have a bunch of Jedi duels in there is beyond me. I hate the fact I GA'ed one of them. Since when is the Duel on Hesperidium part of a galactic war. Since when is the ten second Duel in the Royal Hangar part of a galactic war. We're setting a precedent here that's already exploded with the Clone Wars series. So imho, we need two Second Galactic Civil War templates; one for Jedi duels and one for the actual war. Thing is, I can't be bothered to implement it and think it's a ridiculous concession anyway.
  • Upkeep on Ngaaluh, Battle of Kashyyyk, S'yito, Wyrpuuk Cha, Terephon
  • Gotta find those Adventure Journal pictures for Xarran
