Greetings.

This page is supposed to tell you a bit about me. The only thing of relevance is why I am unwilling to try and help keep this site up-to-date. Soon after I joined here, I saw someone declaring that he was going to take the references to Palpatine being evil out of his biography. His reasoning was a combination of post-modernist garbage of the supposed right to decide EVERYTHING for yourself, even whether or not events happen, and what I can only interpret as the Sith-loving neo-fascism so rife in Star Wars fandom. To make matters worse ... no one else on the site weighed in on my side before I gave up on the argument.

That killed a lot of my enthusiasm and some of my respect for the site. The other main issue that frustrated me was -- and is -- the entry on Satele Shan. There seems to be some sort of internet meme blocking the acceptance by fans of what Bioware says about Satele. In the Threat of Peace comic, her title and full name were given as "Jedi Knight Satele Shan". Despite that, fans thought they were so clever in 'deducing' that she was a Padawan, and have held to that belief ever since. Bioware has given out a lot of information about her career, but it has been virtually ignored by every Wiki biography I have seen.

Apart from that, it is generally hard to even FIND information on the contents of the SWTOR game, let alone trust its accuracy.

Finally, there is the larger issue of how Star Wars 'true' fans hate on the franchise. Supposed 'true fans' of most franchises show their 'love' through abuse these days, but Star Wars fans seem the worst. It has put me off visiting fan sites, which ultimately is what Wikis are.

The gist of all this is that I have given up on making any significant edits to Wiki sites. I can't feel that the effort is worthwhile.
