―My motto[src]

Hi, I'm the Jensaarai, and I guess I'm not new here anymore.

I kindly request that none of you E-mail me, I have provided my address only to gain access to some of the features offered by Wookieepedia, and I hardly ever check it. Frankly, it exists only as a convenience, to enable my X-Box live profile. If you wish to contact me, here are your lines of communication:

  • My talk page. I check it quite often, whenever I log on.
  • My X-Box live profile, my gamertag is "Dark and Sombre" (yeah, I know).
    • Note: if you see my gamertag on the CoD: Black-Ops multiplayer, that's my brother.

That is all.

Monthly QuoteEdit

Just a favorite quote from somewhere that I change every month or so. Some are mine.

"The traditional mindset for categorizing lightsaber duelists and their skill has always seemed to be a numbered skill roster: so-and-so is the best, whatshisface is number two, bla bla bla is third best.
"I've developed some issues with this system, because it seems to me that its not a question of who is better and who is worse; its a question of whose skillset is most effective against whose.
"As an example, lets discuss the film depiction of the final duel between Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Count Dooku. In the film, Kenobi is completely outclassed by the Count, while Anakin defeats him. This is because Anakin's skillset was effective against Dooku's, and Kenobi's wasn't.
"If we were to look at this fight as a traditional roster, it would be Anakin as the best, Dooku is number two, and Kenobi is third best.
"BUT, Kenobi defeats Anakin on Mustafar at the end of the movie, completely overturning this idea.
"Kenobi's skillset was extremely effective against Anakin's, but he was bested by Dooku, who himself was defeated by Anakin.
"All of these factors make it clear that out of the three of them, there is no Number 1 best duelist, it is instead more of a rock-paper-swissors style of balance. And this is how it is with so many duelists in the EU: Qui-Gon Jinn and Dooku were both considered equals of Mace Windu, but Dooku could best Qui-Gon because of the effectiveness of his skillset against Qui-Gon's.
"

ProjectsEdit

I guess I was wrong about having only one project at a time, as the whole lightsaber thing is going to take a while and I have other things that I wish to work on.

Long Term ProjectsEdit

Few projects of mine will qualify for this.

Immediate ProjectsEdit

Smaller articles that I'll be revamping, things that will be started and over with within a week.

  • Nothing right now

Previous ProjectsEdit

Old projects that are now finished.

  • Jar'Kai-Changed the current Niman/Jar'Kai article, seems to be holding out nicely.
  • Darth Vader (Serving the Emperor)-Changed that portion of the Anakin Skywalker article, seems to be holding out OK.
  • Synthetic lightsaber crystal-Changed the Synthetic lightsaber crystal article, seems to holding out good.
  • Vodo-Siosk Baas-What I thought was a massive expansion on the former version turned out to be little more than a foundation on an even bigger, better version. It may not be mine, but I am pleased.'
  • Battle of the TIE Fighter Construction Facility-As usual, waiting game to see if it holds out.
  • Lightsaber-Possibly my biggest risk yet. Always a waiting game.
  • PROXY-Massive improvement on the previous incarnation, I'm optimistic that it will hold out well.
  • Exar Kun's lightsaber-The waiting game is over. The article has been revamped by someone else, and their version is much better than mine.
  • Darth Vader's lightsaber-I admit it, my version was overdone, and they were right to cut it down.
  • Form I: Shii-Cho-I felt the article was too short, and others concured. So I did something about it, and now I play the waiting game once more...
  • Sith training-It needed to be done, so now I wait to see how it turns out.
  • Lightwhip-Waiting game, duh.
  • Anakin Skywalker's first lightsaber-Technically not done, but I don't know enough about Anakin Skywalker's activities between Episode I and II to complete it, so I'll leave that to others.
  • Double-bladed lightsaber-Well, what do you think?
  • Starkiller (clone)-The article was in pretty dire need of cleanup. I hope my efforts were satisfactory.
  • Galen Marek-See above
  • Dark Acolyte-My ambition is that this one will be seen by a member of the The Clone Wars development team, and the existance of the Dark Acolytes will actually be recognized instead of overlooked.
  • Sith Warrior-Definately my quickest project. I knew what I wanted and went for it.
  • Escape from Kamino-The previous iteration seemed a little sloppy, so I made it better.
  • Rescue of Rahm Kota-Also seemed a little sloppy, though not anymore.
  • Lightsaber combat-Well, what do you think?
  • Sith Inquisitor-Make of it what you will.
  • Form VI: Niman-Let us not mince words; the original version sucked. No matter how you slice it, my revision is a colossal improvement. I realize I am indulging my ego, but I can be crazy if I want, as long as my work remains up to par.
  • Sith lightsaber-Lets think, I turned a one paragraph stub into one of the most detailed and comprehensive articles on the whole site. Mission accomplished, I think.

Abandonned ProjectsEdit

Projects that will take the concerted effort of many editors, not just the dedicated effort of myself.

  • The Force Unleashed (video game)-This will take considerable time and effort to fix, and I feel that what would result from my time and effort would be inadequate.
  • A Monument To All My Sins

CollectionEdit

Not quite everything I have, yet. I still have some cateloging to do.
