Kai Ell the Hypothetical Character
Edit
- "Above all else, I am seven things at heart: artist, lover, nonconformist, philosopher, realist, rebel, warrior."
- ―Kai Ell
Kai Ell was a male Corellian Jedi Knight and Rebel pilot. He was proficient with a variety of starfighters including the X-wing, Y-wing, and A-wing, the latter being his favorite. He participated in the Liberation of Gerrard V as a Y-wing pilot with Gold Squadron. He also proved himself quite capable with an A280 blaster rifle in the Battle of Hoth. After the Battle of Endor, he was selected to join Rogue Squadron, an honor he eagerly accepted. Later, when he became a Jedi in the New Jedi Order, he became adept in a Jar'Kai variant of Juyo, similar to the swordplay of Jedi Master Kavar nearly 4,000 years earlier, but utilizing a guard shoto as his off-hand weapon rather than a normal shoto.
Ell frequently struggled with the dark side. He had mercy and a desire to do good, but much anger as well. Though he was not otherwise speciesist, notably having considerable respect for Wookiees, he completely despised Bothans. During the Thrawn campaign, for example, he remained fervently loyal to Admiral Ackbar largely because Borsk Fey'lya opposed him, and he was tremendously tempted to assassinate the Bothan. During the Caamas Document Crisis ten years later, he decided it would be best for him to stay away out of the main issue and investigate the reappearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn so that he would not be tempted to give in to his hatred for the Bothans. However, he was unable to find anything of significance.
Kai Ell the User
Edit
I am 19 years old and I have been a Star Wars fan as long as I can remember. Most of my main content edits are made to fix spelling and/or grammar due to the fact that
I don't read a whole lot of Star Wars novels, and the only Star Wars comic I have ever so much as laid eyes on was the Return of the Jedi comic, and it was in Spanish. Fortunately,
What I do is play Star Wars video games, which means

I also know the movies very, very well (except The Clone Wars, since I've never seen it and from what I've heard I hope I never have to). In essence, I have a sonographic memory. I have been training in swordplay for more than three years now, largely because

I once delivered a speech in school on the life of Chewbacca. I was very upset when I read about his death on here (since I don't read the books, I read about what happened in them here) because

Especially Chewie. In fact, Wookiees are my favorite species to play as in the Star Wars Roleplaying Game. Unfortunately, the only person I'm able to consistently play the game with is my brother, who usually doesn't want to be the GM and complains about the way I run a game. So I really can't put that userbox in here. However,

My favorite vehicles are the Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor, TX-130T fighter tank, YT-2000 light freighter, and Lucrehulk-class battleship (though why the Trade Federation figured it would be a good idea to put the main reactor in the hangar is quite beyond me). Vehicles I don't like, however, under any circumstances, are walkers. No exceptions. Repulsorcraft are far superior in maneuverability and lack the vulnerability to tow cables. I especially hate how in the Rogue Squadron games AT-ATs are completely invulnerable to all forms of attack other than the tow cable. Proton bombs, which breach a stinking Star Destroyer's hull in just a few hits, have no effect. Heck, you could throw the Death Star superlaser at an AT-AT in Rogue Squadron game mechanics, and nothing would happen. But the minute you start wrapping it up with that tow cable, they're doomed.
Speaking of which, I don't like the T-47 airspeeder airspeeder, either. It was not designed with combat in mind, and no amount of jury-rigging is going to change that, stupid Rebels! And while we're on the subject of Incom products, I don't get why the Rebels like the X-wing so much. In the games, which I take to be reasonably "realistic" (if that term can be applied to Star Wars) simulations, the role of a so-called "superiority" fighter is to be neither as good at dogfighting as an interceptor nor as good at pounding as a bomber. If you try to fill many roles at once, you'll end up doing none of them well. Pick one thing and stick to it. Of course, that said,

Simply because they're Chaotic Good. Also, the true heroes and villains in the Galactic Civil War are much more clear than at any other time in galactic history. Of course, the Jedi Civil War has the same bonus, but there aren't enough Wookiees off-planet. What I really don't understand very well is the New Republic era and beyond--basically anything that occurred chronologically later than the Thrawn Trilogy. I know a few details (Snape the Yuuzhan Vong kill Chewbacca, Palpatine died but he got better, the Yuuzhan Vong collapse the New Republic, later the GFFA forms out of former New Republic systems, Jacen Solo is your father turns to the noobish and moronic side of the Force and dies and notably does not get better, Daala screws over the Jedi for some reason), but most of it's really fuzzy to me. So I'd say
