The following list is a personal project. I intend to create a fixed system of ref names to use in my edits. Until now, I've used very different ref names referring to the very same source—e.g. The Illustrated Star Wars Universe was sometimes "ISWU", sometimes "Illustrated". For the sake of consistency and in order to make my work easier, I wish to use the same codes for all the sources I frequently use.
My system is inspired by the one that was used in A Guide to the Star Wars Universe, Second Edition. One of the basic principle is to use between two and five letters in a code, ideally three for "basic" sources.
