• CSWE-DelalunaThe Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Vol. I, p. 180 ("Delaluna") The natural moon of the planet Junction 5, it had a breathable atmosphere, and many settlers from Junction 5 chose to make their home there. More than two decades before the Clone Wars, the natives of Delaluna were believed to have developed a weapon that could be used against large-scale targets. While the authorities on Delaluna denied the existence of the weapon, the natives of Junction 5—who called it the Annihilator—lived in constant fear of it.
• CSWE-CiliaThe Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Vol. I, p. 189 ("Dil, Cilia") A political dissident who rebelled against the ruling Guardians on Junction 5, she escaped imprisonment and was helped by Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi in her efforts to steal the plans of the Annihilator superweapon. They discovered that the weapon wasn't real; it was a ruse engineered by Lorian Nod to ensure that the Guardians remained power. With the lie exposed, Cilia emerged as a hero of Junction 5.
• CSWE-CiranThe Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Vol. I, p. 239 ("Ern, Minister Ciran") A representative of Junction 5, some 13 years before the Battle of Naboo. When the existence of the Annihilator weapon was proven to be a rumor perpetuated by the Guardians and Lorian Nod, Minister Ern promised to disband the Guardians.
• CSWE-GuardiansThe Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Vol. I, p. 373 ("Guardians") A security force, it was formed by the government of the planet Junction 5 to maintain defenses against an invasion from Delaluna or the possible use of the Annihilator superweapon. But it turned out that both the invasion and weapon were ruses used to destroy civil liberties and take over the planet.
• CSWE-Junction5The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Vol. II, p. 180 ("Junction 5") This temperate Mid Rim planet was near the worlds of Bezim and Vicondor. The leaders of the three worlds had been allied for generations. Its moon, Delaluna, was also habitable, and many of its natives decided to settle there. Over the years, the natives of Junction 5 came to fear that a superweapon was being built on Delaluna. They called it the Annihilator, and worried that the natives of Delaluna would use the weapon against them. The people of Delaluna denied the existence of the Annihilator. Some 23 years before the Battle of Geonosis, the situation had reached a critical point, as the citizens were subjugated by the Guardians. Many years later, after the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Junction 5 became a target of the Separatists, since it was one of the primary gateways to the Station 88 Spaceport, a major nexus to the galaxy's Mid Rim.
