Hello, I'm Jeff Ferguson.

Hello... My name is Jeff Ferguson, which is also my pretty unoriginal user name at the Jedi Council Forums and the starwars.com forums. See, when I registered for an account at the JC forums in 2006, I thought that I had better carry over my user name from the starwars.com forums. And the reason why I used my real name over there... well, when I registered for an account in 2000, it told me to enter my first and last name. ... did I do something wrong? I don't think I did. So yeah, that's the story of how my real name became my screen name. When I registered for a Wookieepedia account, I thought it might be time to change it up. I'm pretty sure that Menkooroo is from one of the books in Timothy Zahn's nameless trilogy of the early 1990's, where Talon Karrde and one of his buddies are like "If we had some brualki, we could have some brualki and menkooroo, if we had some menkooroo", to indicate that they don't have any leads... but I could be remembering it wrong, in which case menkooroo would be entirely a product of my own imagination. I think the only way to know for sure would be to sift through 1200 pages, which I'm not going to do; there isn't an entry on Menkooroo here at this site, but there isn't one on brualki, either, and brualki is mentioned in a buncha Zahn books.

When I first started Wookieepedi-ing, my major contributions were really just adding sources to articles, mostly based on quotes from Sue Rostoni and Leland Chee at TOS forums. These articles include Jedi Exile, Legacy of the Force, James Luceno, Ben Skywalker, Yuuzhan Vong War, Dark Horse invasion storyline, Kiara, and the Darth Plagueis novel. I was also an early advocate of The Unifying Force taking place in 29 ABY, rather than 30 ABY, and changed a whole buncha articles that incorrectly referenced the latter date.

I go crazy for Imperial Knights!!!!!!!!!!.
Then I looked at the awesome work that had been done on the Knights of the Old Republic comic series article, and thought... "Someone should do that with Legacy." Later on I thought... "I should do that with Legacy." So I set to work, rebuilt the article from the ground-up, basing a lot of it off of the KOTOR template. I scoured the Jedi Council Forums, TOS forums, and the Dark Horse forums for quotes from John Ostrander, Jan Duursema, and Randy Stradley, and searched the internets for reviews and stuff for the "Reception" section. So, yeah --- as it presently stands, everything in the Legacy article is by me, save for the "Media" section, the main image, and the reference to Darth Bane's holocron. No lie. A lot of the referencing and formatting is kinda sloppily done, but I'm still proud of what I did. It looks good on the outside, anyway. Somewhere along the way I got distracted and did some work on the Dark Times article, including a lot of quotes and stuff on why the Wheatley issues were so delayed.

After that I rebuilt the Imperial Knight article from the ground up in similar fashion, and I hope to elevate it to featured status some day in the not too distant future. This one is a lot crisper and stuff in terms of referencing, formatting, etc. If someone else went in to edit it, they wouldn't be like "Aghghg!!!" like they would with the Legacy article.

And, in April 2009, I created three articles: Unidentified Male Imperial Knight, Unidentified Female Imperial Knight, and Unidentified Female Imperial Knight (II). I wonder why these three didn't have their own articles before?

So, yeah, that's what I do here on Wookieepedia. In real life, I'm in my final year of a combined Honors English & Philosophy degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Feel free to add me to facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=72602142&ref=profile I think it would be cool to go to Celebration V. If there is a Celebration V. Call me if you're going to Celebration V.
