Meselyn is a new contributer to Wookieepedia but has visited the site for a long period of time. He first got into the Star Wars Universe when his father took him to Episode IV: A New Hope, when it was re-released in theatres in 1997. He remembers it vivedly, and remembers crying out "Cool!" during the Cantina scene when Ben Kenobi saves Luke. He's gotten more into the Star Wars Universe since the release of the Legacy of the Force series.

Prior to reading the Legacy of the Force series in late 2007, he had only read the prequel and original trilogy, pre-episode I books, and Clone War books. He never really had much interest in them, but he saw Legacy of the Force: Betrayal in a book store in Delaware, he decided to give them a shot. He was instantly hooked. He'd never known a book prior to this one that could be so action packed in the first half.
After finishing up the LotF series, to date at that point, he went back and read the Jedi Acadamy trilogy and is working on the New Jedi Order series.
