My name is Michael, named after Don Michael Corleone of The Godfather and The Sicilian, but friends and family call me Mikah for reasons unknown to all, including myself and the friend who bestowed the nickname upon me in the first place. Since I'm now a member of Wookieepedia, I suppose that means we're all family now, so please call me what you wish.

Before joining Wookieepedia, I would frequent the site on a daily basis to do research on topics for my short stories. After deciding an account would prove useful, due to watchlists for quicker referencing, User:Mikah was born. I am a veteran when it comes to Wikis -- having been part of the Wikipedia project since 2005 (I think), Wikiquote since 2007, and several other wikias along the way -- though I have officially retired from my post on Wikipedia in August 2008. As for all other sites, I've merely stopped visiting them.

Beliefs (on this site)Edit

For whatever they're worth, here are my two cents on some Wookieepedia policies, guidelines, and other almost worshipped beliefs of users.

  • Despite being the creator of such articles myself, the mere appearance of any kind should not be the deciding factor between article or no article, especially when unnamed. For example, who on Earth would watch Episode II so many times as to spot these three characters?
  • Wookieepedia:Spoilers should not have to be a real policy; instead, everyone who uses this site should consider it common sense that spoilers are to be expected on articles.

InterestsEdit

I'm particularly interested in video game- and comic-related articles. I often find myself straying to articles of characters and species -- from the films to the Expanded Universe and everywhere inbetween -- though I don't normally visit such pages with purpose.

To be completely honest, I'm not entirely sure what got me interested in Star Wars. Perhaps my father was the one who nudged me in its direction, and being a little toddler at the time, I followed it to no end. Since my introduction to the series, I've been enfatuated by the sheer genious of the idea and its limitless imaginative boundaries, which I suppose is also why I so chose Star Wars as the topics of my short stories (mentioned just below).

In the course of the past few months, I've written several short stories inspired by Star Wars. Though I cannot release the entirety of my stories' plots to the public, in fear of someone stealing my works (though, honestly, nobody would be desperate enough to steal my pieces of junk), I can reveal bits and pieces of the general ideas.

For starters, my first few stories took place during the Clone Wars, as such is my favourite point in time after the Old Republic era. My first two stories revolve around minor Jedi during the war whose times-to-shine were not widely known, until my telling of their tales. My most recent story also revolves around such Jedi, though this time I've chosen to base my tale on a small group of Padawans and their new Master striving in the chaos immediately following the Great Jedi Purge. I'm very careful with my work, looking into every battle, notable birth and death, and all other important details to make sure my stories fit perfectly in the Star Wars universe.

My newest idea -- a two-part story -- takes place during the Old Republic era, as I had always wanted at least one to do so. Part one follows a Revanchist through the Mandalorian Wars and his journey down a dark path. Part two takes place several years after he kills his own son in a blind rage, and his Force-sensitive daughter vows to make him pay for his actions.
