Phil Carr is a Star Wars fanatic. He has an extensive collection of books and SWCCG cards. While he knows the game will never be revived, he always holds on to hope, no matter how ridiculous the new virtual card sets.

[edit] Favorite Jedi
I'm actually not a big fan of all the Jedi running around. That's not Star Wars, thats Jedi Wars. In the prequels, there were millions running around, most of them masters, and they were as easy as pie to kill. What made the old trilogy great is that it was about normal people fighting tyranny and the Jedi were mysterious and few, and nearly impossible to kill. How do freaking clone troopers gun down Jedi Masters? Ki Adi Mundi was a bad dude and a small squad of clone just shot him? GAY! Shouldn't the Force have warned him? The Master that got shot down on her speeder? REALLY GAY! Revan and a few Jedi with normal soldiers and scoundrels tooling around saving or destroying the galaxy, COOL! The Exile with a ship full of Jedi, GAY! Anyway, despite my Jedi-hating, I do like a few.
Quinlan Vos
Qui-Gon Jinn (died way, way too early)
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Luke Skywalker
Corran Horn
Kam Solusar
Ganner Rhysode
Anakin Solo
- should have never died, really gay. Lucas didn't want confusion. Screw Skywalker, Solo was much cooler.
Jacen Solo
Mara Jade-Skywalker
Revan (redeemed)
Mace Windu would be cool, but they just really found the wrong actor. L has the right look, but wrong acting style.
[edit] Baddest Sith
Darth Vader
Revan
Exar Kun
Ulic Qel-Droma
[edit] Articles Created
Blue Squadron 5 (much love to Kwenn for cleaning that up for me)
Caet Shrovl
Davik's War Suit
Yusanis's Brand
These have all been edited by other Wooks and I don't want to take credit for all of it, but I like to know that I've contributed as I've been a fan since '85, the year I was born.
I also edited the heck out of Revenge of the Brick, because, well it appeared to be written by a 12 year old in grammar and syntax, it's still not great, but much better.

[edit] Rant
Phil feels that the new movies are okay; Episode 2 was a pile of poodoo. Qui-Gon was terribly under-used, while Mace Windu was incredibly overused and overrated. Samuel L. is a great actor and has the perfect look for Mace, but his acting style clashes. Liam Neesan was awesome as Qui-Gon. Why didn't he come to Obi-Wan apparition style? I know about that throw in at the end of E3, but I doubt that was always there. It was probably thrown in because of people complaining about it. It just felt "thrown in". Why the heck wasn't the Han Solo character explored during E3? He was about 10 years old by that time. That's my main beef with the prequels. Lucas should have called the "Jedi Wars". They focus way too much on the Jedi. That's what was so great about the old ones. There were a few Jedi, and the rest of the movie focused on regular characters and trying to free the galaxy from tyranny. And don't even get me started on Anakin's first duel with Dooku. Most of it was shots of their faces with lightsabers whirling in front of them. Neither was even sweating by the end, and Dooku doesn't even have Anakin on a backstep when he lops off his arm. The only prequels that are any good are the KotOR stories. A Jedi tooling around with average guy type cronies that lend experience. Great fun. Check back later for more rants later.
