[edit] Story Preview

  • Special Thanks goes out to Kingpin13, and Togrutalover for their help on this piece.

He sat there watching them. The targets had finished whatever their discussion was and had simply been conversing to keep other patrons' suspicions down. They were about to leave; he would have to get out before they did and prepare for their departure. He rose from his booth and left through the main doorway, walking until he came to an alleyway that seemed like any other. Entering the alley he stepped to his left and crouched. He removed a small section of the stone wall, revealing a metal box. He pressed his left hand against the panel mounted on the front of the box and with a click the lock disengaged. Reaching inside he removed the box’s contents and quickly placed his cloak inside resealing the box when he was done. Lifting it above his head, he donned his helmet and, with a hiss, it sealed. He stepped from the alleyway, a pistol in his hand. As he headed back towards the cantina, beings quickly moved out of his way, hoping to avoid his gaze. He smiled within his helmet, they had a right to be scared, the Mandalorians had arrived on Tatooine once more.

[edit] Favorite Quotes

Stormtrooper 1: "I heard you got chewed out by the commander."
Stormtrooper 2: "I was making faces at him the whole time These helmets are great!"
Stormtrooper 1: "You do that too? I thought I was the only one…"
Stormtrooper 2: "Look alert, officer approaching…"
―A pair of stormtroopers (cut from final game)

(Corran speaks to Zekka Thyne)
Zekka: "You and your father always were lucky. Thats the only way you got me, your old man was luckier than I was."
Corran: "It wasn't luck. My father was smarter than you were. He still is."
Zekka: "He's dead."
Corran:"My point stands.""
―Corran Horn to Zekka Thyne about Corran and his dad catching Zekka in the past

"Let's get cleaned up and then we can go see if anyone else procrastinated their way past death."
―Corran Horn to Mirax Terrik and Inyri

Corran: "Lovely. Gonna ask if their intentions are honorable?"
Keevy: "Are your intentions honorable?"
Invidious: "Tinta Blue, are you insane, or trying to commit suicide?"
Keevy: "A rather tautological question, isn't it?"
Corran: "Way to keep them guessing, Keevy."
Invidious: "This is Admiral Tavira, Tinta Blue. We are not playing games."
Corran: "Sorry Admiral, but we are. Catch us if you can."
―Corran Horn and Keevy to Invidious

"I think there are a few hundred Jedi proverbs about patience… though they all elude me just this moment."
―Corran Horn

Luke: "I've not done anything like this before, interrogating prisoners." Corran: "'Sokay, I know enough for both of us. Just stay over there, by the door, and look as malevolent as you can. Keep your face straight and you really don't need to say anything." Luke: "Malevolent?" Corran: "Think Hutt, but with eyebrows."
— Luke Skywalker and Corran Horn[src]

Horn: "You don't get it, do you? You've already lost and you're continuing down that losing path. Haven't the last four thousand years taught you anything?" Kun: "I know more than you could ever hope to learn in four thousand years or forty thousand years." Horn: "That may be, but I know the one thing you don't. You're never going to win."
— Corran Horn and Exar Kun[src]

"There are those among the Jedi that view strength as how far you can move something, or how easily you can break something. The real strength of a Jedi comes from within, from his heart and mind. Some Jedi move rocks just to prove they can move them, but the strongest Jedi don't see any reason to move rocks when that isn't going to solve the immediate problem."
―Corran Horn, to Valin Horn[src]

"I'm not a warrior, I'm a soldier. There's a difference. Warriors attack and conquer, they prey on the weak. Soldiers defend and protect the innocent—usually from warriors."
―Carth Onasi to Canderous Ordo

"I'm no Jedi. I'm just a guy with a lightsaber and a few questions."
-Kyle to the Chiss bartender on Nar Shaada

"Never trust a bartender with bad grammar."
-Kyle Katarn

Pellaeon: "I hope you're rushing to tell me that the chef has acquired Jacen Solo's entrails and is braising them for dinner."
Vitor: "Not quite, Admiral."
Pellaeon: "Life is full of disappointments."
Pellaeon and Vitor Reige

Officer: "The Emperor has fallen down the main shaft again and has lodged himself in the main transformer."
Stormtrooper: "Again? How does he keep managing to do this?"
Officer: "Don't ask me. They just put up guardrails. Well, I'm not going in after him. I say we just activate another clone."
Stormtrooper: "Would someone tell me who's [sic] brilliant idea it was to put the throne room at the top of the reactor core?"

"Everyone dies. It's the final and only lasting Justice. Evil exists; it is intelligence in the service of entropy. When the side of a mountain slides to kill a village, this is not evil, for evil requires intent. Should a sentient being cause that landslide, there is evil; and requires Justice as a consequence, so that civilization can exist. There is no greater good than Justice; and only if law serves Justice is it a good law. It is said correctly that law exists not for the Just but for the unjust, for the Just carry the law in their hearts, and do not need to call it from afar. I bow to no one and give service only for cause." ―Boba Fett, in the guise of Jaster Mereel

"In those days, you wouldn't have caught me within a thousand light-years of Yavin once that Death Star showed up. You see, that was before I decided to give up a good job to become a savior of the galaxy. Now I eat Death Stars for breakfast." ―Lando Calrissian, to historian Voren Na'al
