I'm better known (if I'm known at all) as Staff Member #716, a contributing writer and illustrator for tastes like chicken magazine. I'd always enjoyed the Star Wars movies to some extent as a kid... but it wasn't until Dark Forces was released in 1995, closely followed by Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina and Tales from Jabba's Palace, that my eyes were opened to the concept of the Expanded Universe and I became a true Star Wars fan. I'm getting a bit more comfortable with this whole Wiki business, and I'm starting to contribute a bit more confidently than I have in the past. I have Photoshop, as well as the skills to use it effectively; so if you've got any images that could use a good cleaning up (too dark, too grainy, too faded, etc.), there's a good chance that I can help.
So what else have I done that might be of interest to fellow Star Wars fans? Well, I took a class or two taught by Joe Corroney at my alma mater, CCAD. I've since cranked out an illustration or two that either lovingly references, borrows heavily from, or blatantly rips off Star Wars iconography. For the February 2004 online issue of TLC (and again for the later "Best Of" print edition), I wrote an extensive account of some uncomfortable weirdness that occured while playing the Star Wars: Galaxies MMO. And I've tinkered with making a couple game mods for Jedi Academy-- if you'd care to play as movie characters like Luke, Han, or Vader in Siege mode, or if you'd like an Arvel Crynyd skin, just click on the corresponding blue text.

I'm still not totally gung-ho about editing everything I come across with reckless abandon, but I think I've done my part in making my little corner of the Wiki a better place. My proudest moment so far has been coming up with a main image for the Jaden Korr article. Keep in mind that Jaden is a completely customizable character in the game, that no source has pinned down a canonical species for him, and that his gender has only been strongly implied to be male by The New Essential Chronology. So putting together an image which reflected as much canonical information as possible while omitting any details about him that have yet to be confirmed turned out to be a pretty interesting challenge.
Other contributions I've made have been merging/cleaning up a couple of scattered articles about Kyle Katarn's Bryar pistol as well as providing the main image for it, cleaning up some grainy pictures of Qu Rahn, creating a stub with an image for the Guardian Mantis, and providing a new image of the Moldy Crow. Can you tell I'm a Dark Forces/Jedi Knight fan?, I've been pretty image-centric in my contributions so far... but if I can organize some of my source material, I just might start contributing with some text and article clean-ups.
