Category:Starship to do
Edit
- Move remnants in Category:Capital ships into Category:Starships
- Sort any Starship entries into affiliation and type
- Sort any Starship entries without known classes or types into Category:Starships of unknown class
- Remove starship classes from Category:Starships by affiliation subcats
- Sift affiliation subcats for starships without type or class cats
- Galleries go in gallery categories, since they'll be done soon.
- Should some of the specific class categories in Category:Starships by type be folded into generic categories like "Frigates" or "Cruisers"? Might get hairy.
- See what the community thinks about Shuttles
- Given the new setup, should Category:Star Destroyers's subcats be broken out?
- Wikipedia has a category for unique ships. Might that be useful for one-of-a-kind (not modified) starships?
- What's the difference between Freighters and Transports?
- Scout starships need a category name. "Scout starships" seems clunky.

"...Based on a complete analysis of our contacts with the Yevetha, we are currently estimating their fleet strength at no fewer than ninety-three capital ships, of which at least twenty-nine are Imperial-design vessels and the balance are Fat Men. "There are at least nineteen occupied and defended worlds, and there may be twenty --- Doornik Two-oh-seven hasn't been reconned yet. Eight are defended by a mixed fleet, and we're considering that an indicator that the Yevetha consider those principal targets. Five are League members, and three are former colonies. The other eleven targets are defended by Fat Men only. "It is possible that the Yevetha have additional vessels cached elsewhere --- we hope to start reducing that uncertainty by expanding our surveys of the Cluster. ..." - Tyrant's Test
"Our claim to these stars is not a shallow thing of greed, or politics, or ambition. It is not a claim we would ever surrender. We are not like the weaklings you are accustomed to, calculating when to pursue an advantage and when to retreat, believing only in the expediencies of the moment. ... Your wars are decided by the death of a tenth of a population, a third of an army. Then the defeated surrender their honour and the victors surrender their advantage. This is called being civilised. The Yevetha are not civilised, General. It would be a mistake to deal with us as though we were." -ibid
Every pilot dreaded the Redemption run. The scenario was based on an Imperial attack on evacuation ships back before the first Death Star had been destroyed. While the Redemption waited for three Medevac shuttles and the corvette Korolev to dock and off-load wounded, the Imperial frigate Warspite danced around the system and dumped TIE fighters and bombers out to do as much damage as they could.
The bombers, with a full load of missiles, could do a lot of damage. All the pilots called the Redemption scenario by another name: the Requiem scenario. The Warspite would only deploy four starfighters and a half-dozen bombers--known in pilot slang as "eyeballs" and "dupes" respectively-- but it would do so in a pattern that made it all but impossible for the pilots to save the Korolev. The corvette was just one big target, and the TIE bombers had no trouble unloading all their missiles into it.

Bonus Goals 100% of Escort Shuttles must be destroyed Lt Calamari Cruiser Falaricae must be inspected Cargo Ferry Delphine must be inspected Mod Corvette Falx must be inspected Cargo Ferry Hangonel must be inspected Modular Conveyor Asbo ? must be captured In this mission you need to drive off the attack by the Dimok. Completing the primary objectives is fairly easy and you don't need to help out much. Your main concern should be inspecting to complete your bonus goals as they will scarper as soon as the primary objectives are completed. You also need to inspect Modular Conveyor group Asbo as one of them will need to be captured as it is carrying Imperial Weapons. Once you have inspected to correct craft TRN Epsilon will be dispatched to board it. As soon as this happens Escort Shuttles will appear, 2 before it is captured and one after. These Escort Shuttles will move to attack TRN Epsilon so you should aim to destroy them. This is very tricky in a Tie Fighter so you should only attack them when their attention is else where. To complete the bonus goals you will also need to inspect Lt Calamari Cruiser Falaricae which appears during the battle, it is a fair way a way but can be left until the end of the mission.

Shuttle Toten must be inspected Transport Epsilon 1 must have completed mission Transport Epsilon 2 must have completed mission Nebulon B-2 Frigate Dromon must be destroyed Container C Lab Module ? must be captured Platform XQ1 Youst must be captured Your first objective is to destroy the Modified Corvettes, 6 torpedoes are needed for each one. Take one of them out and then inspect the containers, you should then return to reload with new torpedoes. You should continue taking out Ripoblus craft until they escape to hyperspace, you objective then is to protect the two Imperial transports and also keep an eye out for Shuttle Toten which will escape from the platform before it is captured. Another bonus goal is to destroy Frigrate Dromon, if you have any torpedoes left then launch them at it, however your craft is not really good enough for a 1 on 1 attack on the Frigate.

Bonus Goals 100% of Escort Shuttle group Typhoon must be destroyed 100% of Shuttle group Hazaar must have completed mission The aim of this mission is to protect System Patrol Craft Glas and its escort until they can reach safety. The main threat is the attacing Y-Wings which you should destroy as soon as possible as they will launch torpedoes at SPC Glas. You should also keep and eye out on the protecting shuttles as they will also come under attack. SPC Glas will dock and the people will be off loaded and the ship will be launched again as a decoy. 4 Escort Shuttles will turn up to destroy it, you need to destroy these to complete the bonus goals, they can often be destroyed by other craft but you may need to help out.

- Mission 4: Capture Enemies
Bonus Goals Lt Calamari Cruiser Falaricae must be inspected Nebulon B-2 Frigate Manus Ferre must be inspected Nebulon B Frigate Shemsher must be inspected The aim of this mission is to capture the leaders of the Dimok & Ripoblus, the leaders are in shuttles which must be disables before they can be captured. I don't recommend using missiles to disable the shuttles despite the fact you are told that you can do that, more often than not some other craft on your side will also launch missiles at the shuttle and it will be destroyed. As soon as the shuttles are disabled TRN Omega 1 and 2 will move to board them, you must protect them as they will be attacked, Omega 2 is usually destroyed first so target it and press 'a' to find its attacker then go after it. Once the transports have reached hyperspace all the other Imperial craft will also got to hyperspace, you should now try and expect the remaining craft to get the secondary and bonus goals. There will probably be quite a lot of remaining star fighters and you will need to weave about to avoid their fire, or attack them but be careful given that a lot of them are Escort Shuttles. Don't forget that you can hyperspace out at any time after the primary objectives are finished, but also remember that your craft is vunerable whilst it is lining up to go to hyperspace.

Bonus Goals 100% of all Z-95 Headhunters must be destroyed 100% of all Y-Wings must be destroyed Lt Calamari Cruiser Ben Het must be destroyed Cargo Ferry Suoi Tre must be destroyed Cargo Ferry Can Giouc must be destroyed Mod. Corvette Long Tan must be destroyed Nebulon B-2 Frigate Shemsher must be destroyed 100% of Escort Shuttle group Raven must be destroyed 100% of Escort Shuttle group Seakyte must be destroyed 100% of TIE Advanced group AA must have completed mission 100% of TIE Advanced group AB must have completed mission 100% of TIE Advanced group AC must have completed mission 100% of TIE Advanced group AD must have completed mission In this mission you have to protect the delivery of the new TIE Advanced from the ESC Tropsobor. You should closly escort the first group of TIE Advanced and then return to the Tropsobor and protect it from attack. The TIE Advanced will usually survive without too much help but the ESC Tropsobor will come under attack from Y-Wings which will launch torpedoes. You should keep a look out for Shuttle Omlaut which you should inspect, you will need to inspect it quite quickly otherwise it can escape. Completing all the bonus goals it quite tricky as it involves destroying a lot of crafts using only a TIE Fighter.
The siege of Yavin constituted a series of battles between Imperial and Rebel Alliance forces in the Yavin system from 0 BBY and the following months. Localized primarily around the fourth moon of Yavin, the siege included a number of ground and space battles, climaxing with the destruction of the first Death Star.
First contact
Edit
After allowing the Millennium Falcon to escape the Death Star, the Empire discovered the location of the Rebel base on Yavin IV. To ensure the existance of a Rebel base, a detachment of Stormtroopers and AT-STs were dispatched to the surface of Yavin IV. The Stormtroopers clashed with Alliance troops in the Massassi Fighting Arena, battling to a stalemate.
The Death Star cometh
Edit
With their hidden base exposed, the Rebels raced to analyze the Death Star plans hoping to uncover an exploitable weakness. As they studied the plans, the Death Star arrived to destroy the base. Despite Grand Moff Tarkin's plan to destroy the moon, a communications satellite was deployed, perhaps to coordinate a subsequent sweep of the system for remaining Rebel forces. Under the leadership of Keyan Farlander, five starfighters destroyed the comsat, disrupting Imperial coordination and cutting off the Death Star from reinforcements. In addition, the absence of Divad, two CR90 corvettes and roughly ten squadrons of Imperial starfighters in later conflicts may indicate their destruction by Farlander and his wingmates.
Battle of Yavin
Edit
With the Death Star isolated and and a weakness discovered, the Rebels took the attack to the Empire. General Dodonna and his staffed watched while the Death Star slowly cleared Yavin and the Alliance starfighter withered against the battlestation's defenses. Finally, a pair of proton torpedos launched by Luke Skywalker reached their target, setting off a chain reaction that destroyed the Death Star.
Survivors strike
Edit
As Imperial escape pods and shuttles landed on the moon's surface, Imperial troops regrouped to launch an attack on the Rebel forces Massassi Temple. The Rebels succeeded in repelling the attack,
Imperial vengeance
Edit
After returning to Coruscant from his crash landing on Vaal, Darth Vader personally led a force against the Rebel base. The combined TIE Fighter and AT-ST assault destroyed the remaining Alliance forces,
