The Mysterious Droid was the nickname of a droid who wished for nothing more than full-scale wars in the Galaxy. He was instrumental in some devastating wars in the Galaxy. He mostly fought against the Galactic Republic, but sometimes fought others, and even sided with the Republic sometimes. He was created when the Infinite Empire ruled. He was a series of prototype droids built by the Rakata on the Star Forge, however the series was created near the end of the Empire and was never mass produced. The Rakatan had made some Ancient droid models, although this technology was ahead of their time. It used to many resources and was to timeconsuming to manufacture. Although the droids produced were very powerful. It was better than the B1 battle droid used by the CIS a millenia later and could have defeated a B2 super battle droid thanks to it's powerful blaster, built in energy shield,and heavy armor. During the Jedi Civil War and the Mandalorian Wars the Republic used battle droids of a similar design, but were much weaker since the Republic didn't know the technology used in them. The Republic couldn't understand the technology because the Star Forge used more advanced technology than what they had.

[edit] The Rakatan Infinite Empire

After he was created the other prototype droids were sent to one of the Empire's most rebellious worlds. The Rakatan hoped the droids would be able to crush the rebellion. Unfortunately for the Rakata, the rebels caught word of this and laid bombs at the landing site. The ship was destroyed along with all the battle droids. The Mysterious Droid was still being examined on the Star Forge as the Rakatan hoped to finally be able to cheaply produce them. He was examined for a standard month when the Rakatan sent an emergency task force to Coruscant after it was liberated by slaves. With little forces available, The Mysterious Droid was sent to Coruscant. He was the commander of all other battle droids sent, which were the Ancient droids used by the Empire. The taskforce didn't know where the rebels were at, so the droids were sent ahead to find them. The droids were ambushed and The Mysterious Droid surrendered. He hoped to use his built in communicater to contact the Empire and spy on the rebels. The rebels hoped to reprogram the droids against the Empire and examine the technology. When they reached the base, The Mysterious Droid sent a message telling where it was located. He also mentioned that the slave force was 10 times the size of the task force sent and that since the Rakata had no droid support and the base was at an unfavorable location, they had a poor chance of winning. He aslo told them that the slaves had reprogrammed the droids to their side. He said they had tried to reprogram him, and that they thought they did, but his emergency systems came online and countered the reprogramming. The Rakatan told him to advise the slaves to gather as many forces as possible on Coruscant and then they would commence Orbital Bombardment to kill their forces and cripple the slave war effort. The Mysterious Droid, shocked that they would sacrifice him said that the Rakata had already bombed Tatooine and that another bombardment would be genocide. He also said the bombardment would ruin the planet and if they continued bombing planets they would control no more planets, and they would kill him in the bombing. The Rakatan responded by saying these were necessary losses. Outraged, The Mysterious Droid warned the slaves the Rakatan were preparing to bombard them and started aiding them in their war effort. He worked with them and evacuated all forces to Ithor. There he worked with the slaves's scientists to develop a Plague from substances from Ithor's surfaces, and tested them on a captured Rakata to make sure they worked and only affected Rakata. They also made sure it would contaminate everyone and everything, but have no affect on them and would be highly contagious. He released it all over the Galaxy. The Rakatan retreated to Lehon. Since it was beyond the edge of space, the poison did not reach there. They lost their sensitivity to the force, all of their technology, and almost destroyed themselves in a subsequent civil war. The Rakatan Infinite Empire was over.

[edit] After the Destruction of the Infinite Empire

After the Empire was defeated The Mysterious Droid reprogrammed all of the remaning Rakatan battle droids to follow and obey him. He hid on the planet of Mustafar. He aslo took many resources to keep him in good shape there. He also built a battle droid factory using technology stolen from the Star Forge, and massed produce new models of battle droids. He also set up a small shipyard on the planet and began producing warships. He remained silent and was never discovered for a long time. As new technologies became available he was modified to keep updated. Such modifications included an enhanced shield, cortosis armor, and a built in blaster similar to the B2 super battle droid.

[edit] The Mandalorian War

The Mandalorians attacked the Galaxy. Nobody knew why, but the True Sith manipulated them into doing it. The Mandalorians conquered star systems that were not in the Republic. They chose not to attack the Republic due to limited supplies. However after a force landed on Mustafar, due to it being seen in a dream the True Sith gave to Mandalore, they discovered The Mysterious Droid and his army and navy. They negotiated with him and formed an alliance. The Mysterious Droid joined the Mandalorians because a recent Republic colonial effort had discovered them. During the colonization attempt, the Republic had come across one of the droids produced by the factory, similar to The Mysterious Droid himself. They took him after he was disabled by their ion blasters to examine him. This influenced their battle droid desings later. The leaders of the Republic wanted the factory and the shipyard to shut down and be destroyed. Saying an army that size could conquer the Republic and could start another war. Hating the Republic, The Mysterious Droid pledged the entire fleet and droid army to the Mandalorians. The Mandalorians knew the Republic would consider attacking Mandalore (planet) if they attacked the Republic directly. So the Mandalorians sent this force to guard Mandalore. The Mysterious Droid continued producing warships for the Mandalorians throughout the war and churned out Basilisk War Droids for them. These Basilisks were not normal Basilisks, but were downgraded so they could be deployed in overwhelming numbers against the Republic. Later Canderous Ordo would keep one on Dxun.

Later though the Basiliskans produced more of these droids and other shipyards were conquered by the Mandalorians, so they could produce their fleets easier. So The Mysterious Droid didn't help the Mandalorians much later in the war, but that doesn't mean the Mandalorians didn't use anything from The Mysterious Droid. They continued using his warships and droids. Although without The Mysterious Droid's early support the Mandalorians would never have had the strength to attack the Republic. The Mysterious Droid himself also participated in the war. He coordinated two attacks on the Republic, one was the attack on Felucia which was successful due to the fact Revan had moved most forces on Felucia to Taris. The second one was an attack on Malastare which was successful because Revan considered Malastare to be unimportant and moved the fleet over it to Taris. The Mysterious Droid also raided the Mon Calamari shipyards and was able to capture a large fleet for the Madalorians. Early in the war Republic Forces had attacked Mustafar, but they were unprepared for the climate and were easily defeated by security droids. After the Mandalorians lost, The Mysterious Droid quickly pulled his forces from Mandalore to guard Mustafar. These forces had never suffered any casualties during the war and were strong. However The Mysterious Droid knew he couldn't go up against the Republic, with Revan and the Jedi Order on it's side. So he told the Republic if he was attacked he would strike back and destroy the Republic. He spread propaganda that his force was the biggest the galaxy had ever seen and was growing. However it was smaller than the Republic's new Army and Navy they had created during the war. The Republic didn't want to start another war so they never bothered Mustafar. The Mysterious Droid didn't remain quiet for long however.

[edit] The Jedi Civil War

When Revan returned to the Galaxy and raided the Republic's Shipyards at Foerost the Jedi Civil War began. Many groups pledged allegience to the Sith. Some of these groups were Jedi who decided to leave the Order, some were Admirals in the Republic Fleet such as Saul Karath, and most were just common soldiers. However The Mysterious Droid was also a supporter of the Sith. After the Foerost raid Malak advised The Mysterious Droid to pretend he was on the Republic's side and advise them to move the fleet over Telos to be placed over Dantooine to protect the Jedi there. The Mysterious Droid said to the Republic that the Republic's Fleet over Telos should orbit Danotooine since Dantooine was more important than Telos. The Republic thought this was a good idea, but Carth Onasi and other important people in the Republic said Telos was to important to be left undefended. The Mysterious Droid assured them he would send a sizeable portion of his fleet to orbit Telos, even though it was weaker than the Republic's ships he said his ships would be able to adequately defend Telos. The Republic agreed, but unfortunately as the fleet was en route to Dantooine it was pulled out of hyperspace and obliterated by The Mysterious Droid's fleet, which had been given new experimental Gravity well projector technology from the Sith. Meanwhile Telos was being bombarded. This was one of the many betrayals Carth Onasi would later remark to Revan. Czerka Corporation, the leading company of the Galaxy at that time, saw the numbers of the Sith Fleet, and knew the Republic would need more ships to fight back. Revan knew this couldn't be allowed to happen, he already had to assign fleets to blockade many Corporations Headquarters to intimidate them, because he needed as many Corporations as possible to fight against the True Sith and couldn't just destroy them. He already had blockaded Sullust to prevent SoroSuub Corporation from developing ship weapons for the Republic. SoroSuub had been so intimidated they seceded all their holdings from the Republic. Not to mention that it took more than one fleet to blockade Kuat, which had been so scared of losing it's shipyards, that it seceded it's holdings as well. Corporations such as CEC and Rendili Stardrive were still producing Hammerhead-class capital ships and Republic cruisers respectively. Incom Corporation was producing all of the Republic's fighters. So the Sith told The Mysterious Droid to intimidate the President of Czerka on Coruscant. He did and Czerka became the biggest and only Corporate sponsor of the Sith. The Sith didn't need them with the Star Forge on their side, but didn't want the Republic to have them. The Mysterious Droid, still was under the lie that the Sith needed his Battle Droids and warships, so he continued producing them throughout the war. After Revan was killed by the Jedi, Revan's apprentice was on the run from Darth Bandon who Malak tasked with killing him. The apprentice found refuge on Mustafar where he informed The Mysterious Droid that Malak was just using him and would kill him after the war. He proceeded to tell Czerka, but was killed by Darth Bandon before that happened. The Mysterious Droid was furious at being used and informed the Republic he would join them. The Republic wasn't going to believe him this time, although after the odds were getting desperate they took the risk. It worked for them. The Mysterious Droid advised Malak to pull the Sith Forces from Kashyyyk, saying the Wookiees had finally fell down before Czerka. He also said that the Sith Fleet over Korriban should blockade Mon Calamari, to prevent the shipyards form aiding the Republic and that the Republic wouldn't be stupid enough to go somewhere where a Sith Academy was present. This helped the redeemed Revan greatly in his quest for the Star Forge. He also used his shipyard to produce warships for the Republic, he also used the factory to produce small numbers of droids for the Sith, so the Sith wouldn't get suspicious. The Republic Fleet was refreshed with ships from Mustafar, the Sith had expanded the Shipyard greatly at the beginning of the war. The Republic used this revamped fleet to attack the Star Forge in the Battle of Rakata Prime, but lost nearly all of it afterwards since The Mysterious Droid activated the self-destruct sequence after he learned the Republic was preparing to bomb Mustafar. He then pulled his droid fleet and army from the Sith. Even though they had taken casualties during the war, this force could have defeated the remaining Sith and what was left of the Republic. Although Revan was able to negotiate a treaty between the Republic and The Mysterious Droid, saying the Republic would leave him alone if he leaved them alone, but would come to each others aid in case of attack, plus he was paid a large amount of credits, upgrades to the factory, and Revan installed a built in concussion missile launcher in him. Revan then departed to the Unknown Regions while the Sith Triumvirate rose.

[edit] The Sith Triumvirate

The Republic and the Jedi Order were in a mess after the Jedi Civil war. The entire Republic Fleet consisted of 20 Hammerheads and 15 Republic Cruisers. It also was under 250 starfighters. No Corporation trusted the Republic as they had received no aid when their headquarter's were blockaded. The only Corporation that would make anything for the Republic was Czerka. However their prices were extremely high as they wanted to exploit the Republic. Though the Republic did hire them to help out with the Restoration project on Telos. The Republic decided to use their own shipyards, unfortunately Malak had destroyed most of them, and the remaining ones were being mysteriously destroyed. The Republic had even tried to put part of their fleet over a shipyard. They left five Hammerheads and five crusiers along with 50 starfighters over the shipyards at Felucia, but they were all destroyed. During the battle a message was sent to Coruscant saying it was the remanants of the Sith Fleet. This worried the Republic, as they thought the Sith destroyed themselves during the First Sith Civil War. The message said the Sith Fleet included 25 damaged Interidictors, no frigates or corvettes, one damaged Ravager-class Capital Ship, and an estimate of 150 starfighters. The message said they had a confirmed kill of 25 Sith starfighers and one Interidictor. It also said they were focusing all firepower on the Ravager, but couldn't even scratch it, even though it didn't have any shields. The Republic lost another 5 hammerheads, 5 cruisers, and 50 starfighters when Foerost's shipyards were destroyed. The Republic Fleet, at 10 Hammerheads, 5 cruisers, and 150 starfighters fell back to Coruscant. They started constructing shipyards over Coruscant as all their shipyards had been destroyed. Admiral Forn Dodonna stepped down and Carth Onasi took her place. The Mysterious Droid wasn't trying to help the Republic, but he was afraid Mustafar would be targeted next. At Foerost, The Mysterious Droid sent a scout starfighter to lay a tracking device on the Ravager. He then tracked it to the edge of known space and told the Republic he would take care of it, but would need aid and would need Bastila. His ships fought bravely but the Sith had laid orbital mines so The Mysterious Droid lost even before he started fighting. Altough he destroyed many of the Sith's ships, getting it down to 10 Interidictors and 50 starfighters. But the Ravager still remained. He sent all his ships to get near it and self-destruct as he jumped to lightspeed on his escape shuttle. The ships couldn't get near enough to the Ravager, so right before they were destroyed they activated the sequence and took 3 interidictors with them as well as 20 starfighters. The Mysterious Droid told the Republic if they would have answered his distress signal and brought Bastila Shan with them they would have won. The Republic said he should have come to their aid when their shipyards were under attack. Their alliance was finished. The Mysterious Droid went back to Mustafar where he still had his droid army, factory, and shipyard. He would get revenge, for the Republic had caused the destruction of his entire fleet. He would strike in a millenia. Meanwhile the Jedi Exile saved the Republic. The Harbinger destroyed one Interidictor, but was later captured by the Sith. Though it would meet it's own end at the Peragus Mining Facility. After the remaining Jedi Masters were killed by Kreia the remaining 6 interidictors, 30 starfighters, and the Ravager were destroyed by the Republic Fleet at the Battle of Telos. The Sith Triumvirate's leaders were killed by the Jedi Exile and the Sith were defeated. The Mysterious Droid wouldn't be seen again for nearly 4,000 years during the Clone Wars.

The Senate had tried to get Mustafar to join the Republic many times after natives of Mustafar were found. However The Mysterious Droid had intimidated the natives enough to get them to refuse to join the Republic, saying they didn't want to pay the taxes. The Techno Union decided to negotiate with them to persuade them to join their company. The natives told the Union that they would join if The Mysterious Droid would be destroyed, as he was treating them as slaves. The Union agreed and sent their army in. The Mysterious Droid prepared to engage their droid army with his, but after he saw their army he was impressed by the numbers. The Union was impressed by his droids technology. They came to an agreement that Mustafar would join the Techo Union. The Union said his planet would be under the protection of one of the strongest armies in the Galaxy, theirs. The Mysterious Droid would be paid large amounts of credits monthly and he would retain control of Mustafar, plus he now had slave labor- the natives. They also upgraded his Factory and shipyard as well as expanding it. The combined power of these two armies worried the Republic. Plus many Corporations had huge droid armies. To slow their production down the Republic taxed outlying trade routes.

[edit] The Clone Wars

After the Clone Wars erupted on Geonosis, the Techno Union informed The Mysterious Droid that they had joined the CIS, along with the Trade Federation, InterGalactic Banking Clan, Commerce Guild, Corporate Alliance, and others. The Union also said more companies would flock to aid the CIS, and that Count Dooku had promised that 10,000 star systems would immediately rally to the CIS as well. With many others joining in over time. The Techno Union told him to use his battle droid factory to continue producing Super Battle Droids. Along with coming up with new battle droid designs and to use his shipyard to produce Bulwark-class battlecruisers and Mankvim-814 light interceptors. The Republic sent a fleet of Acclamator-class assault ships to blockade Mustafar, but were easily defeated by The Mysterious Droid's old, but updated Fleet. In response to the attempted blockade, The Mysterious Droid used his old droid army and fleet to conquer Manaan, cutting off the Republic's kolto supply early in the war. He also used his newly built Fleet of Bulwark-class battlecruisers to hold off Republic Victory-class star destroyers so Humbarine could be bombed by Providence-class carrier/destroyers. On Korriban his new droid army easily defeated Republic Forces, who didn't want the Sith to have access to the dark secrets of Korriban. His old droid army conquered the Yavin system. He also ruined an attempt to build the Republic a droid army on Kuat in the middle of the war with all of his forces. However after the Battle of Coruscant, his forces started falling apart. His old fleet and droid army were defeated when the Republic performed a surprise attack on his shipyard and destroyed it. The Republic had also disabled his facotry, this was all due to Darth Sidious. His shipyard had completed three fleets of Bulwark-class battlecruisers throughout the war other than his own Bulwark fleet, and had given them to the Techno Union. He also desinged the Air battle droid, but due to production difficulties created by Darth Sidious, it couldn't be produced until the end of the war. Instead his factory created 10 armies of super battle droids throughout the war, he kept one and gave the other nine to the Techno Union. At the end of the war Mustafar was one of the last strongholds of the CIS. The Separatist Council gathered there. However The Mysterious Droid knew Darth Vader was coming, being warned by a spy device he put in Palpatine's office. He escaped Mustafar and hid on Hypori. He hoped to use the factory against the Galactic Empire. He only remained silent for about twenty years.

[edit] The Galactic Empire

While he was on Hypori, The Mysterious Droid desinged the Destroyer Droid Mk.2. This model had a stronger shield as well as more powerful blasters complete with new ion cannons. He massed produced these droids and contacted his old friend, HK-47, to build a droid army on Mustafar. The Mysterious Droid wasn't sure what he was going to do with his army, he thought of aiding the Rebels, but decided not to since they wanted to restore the Old Republic. He wouldn't aid the Galactic Empire because they were formed out of the Old Republic. But he couldn't take the Empire down alone. However before he had time to decide, the bounty hunter Bossk was hired by Jabba the Hutt to kill The Mysterious Droid. Fortunately for The Mysterious Droid, his droidekas were able to hold Bossk off while he escaped on a modified Star Destroyer HK-47 captured from the Empire. He took as many droids with him as he could while he jumped into hyperspace. He went to Mustafar only to have found the factory had been bombed. He was able to find Hk on the surface who said that some Geonosian had come with a fleet and took over the factory. He said his entire droid army had been defeated by Jedi who survived Order 66. The Mysterious Droid told Hk-47 to find and eliminate Tyber Zann who had taken over his factory on Hypori. However by the time Hk had got to Hypori Tyber Zann was gone, but his forces along with battle droids were there. The Mysterious Droid told Hk to come with him to hide on Polis Massa, as it was unlikely the Empire would attack it twice.

[edit] Rebellion

The Mysterious Droid and Hk came up with a new plan. The Mysterious Droid and Hk were going to negotiate with Tyber Zann and join the Zann Consortium. However Tyber told them he wasn't interested in making alliances, and that they had nothing to offer him. After this happened The Mysterious Droid and Hk came up with a new plan. The Mysterious Droid still had many credits and he used these to buy a Tie Advanced for Hk and told him to kill the leaders of the Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, and Zann Consortium. This would throw all major powers in the Galaxy into chaos and his forces would be able to take over the Galaxy. So as Hk went off in a desperate attempt to kill the leaders of major powers, The Mysterious Droid negotiated with the InterGalactic Banking Clan, the only company that had allied with the CIS and survived. Being old allies the Banking Clan agreed to build new droid factories and take over the Galaxy. The Banking Clan built approximately three billion Mk.2 Destroyer Droids, and the Mysterious Droid had contracted Rendili StarDrive to build a fleet of modified Star Destroyers and Sienar Fleet Systems to build him modified Victory Cruisers, Tartan Patrol Cruisers, and Tie/d Starfighters. All Destroyer Droids were placed into transports while droid pilots piloted the ships. All the forces were moved into orbit above The Mysterious Droid's headquarters, Polis Massa. However the Rebel Alliance informed The Mysterious Droid of an Imperial Fleet coming to Polis Massa and told him to gather his fleet at Sullust. Not wanting to engage this fleet he went to Sullust to find that the Rebels had Hk-47 captive. He thought they wanted him to use his fleet to engage the Imperial Fleet over Endor and use his droids to destroy a shield generator on the surface of Endor. He was surprised to hear they wanted him to go to Kuat once they left to destroy a Super Star Destroyer and to attract so much attention that any reinforcements would be sent to Kuat, and by the time anything on Endor was heard, the Death Star would be destroyed. Then they would give him back Hk. He agreed and sent his fleet over to Kuat, but the Empire thought those were their Star Destroyers, and told them that something was happening at Endor and to go there immediatley. But the Imperial Forces had been destroyed at Endor and the Rebels had already left for Kuat. So he went to Sullust to find that Hk had escaped and was waiting in his Tie Advanced. They then went to their ally's planet of Muunilinst. Meanwhile the Empire turned into the Imperial Remnant and the Rebel Alliance turned into the New Republic.
