- Kyle Katarn invented the lightsaber to use as a toothpick.
- Indiana Jones's hat survives everything that happens to it because it is woven from Kyle Katarn's hair.
- Kyle Katarn once had the idea of selling his piss as a beverage. This beverage is now known to us as "beer".
- Matt Stover wrote a novel about Kyle Katarn's quest to recover The Hat from an army of Sith-ninja-orc-Predator-clonetroopers who wield purple saberstaves and ride Balrogs through space. The book was never published, since the manuscript spontaneously combusted due to the sheer epicness contained within it.
