Indeed your eyes serve you correctly: I am female. ;) I fell in love with Star Wars when I was eleven, but not because of Luke Skywalker or Han Solo (though their lightsaber and blaster skillz are to admire)—it was the whole new universe, strange and exciting and yet familiar at the same time. And Leia Organa. No, I didn't have a crush on her either, but she instantly became a role model of sorts to me. And she does have some of the most memorable lines in SW (…nerf herder!). Whenever I feel unsure of have a lack of courage, I try to think, "What would Princess Leia do?" Usually it works. In short, Star Wars has helped me to become a better person. ;)
As some of you who know your Tolkien might have noticed, I've snitched my screen name from the etymology section of The Silmarillion which explains the origin of Elvish words and names. Tinwe is Quenya for 'spark' or 'star.'
Tinwe Stargazer is my original Mary Sue-ish Jedi character from a fanfic I never got around to write. The last name is also influenced by Tolkien. He has a character whose epithet is Elentirmo (Elentirme in feminine form), which translates as Stargazer.
I suppose my editing philosophy could be called Jon Antillesque: I mostly fix things that need fixing, whether that be formatting, sourcing, adding quotes, creating new categories, or the like—WikiGnome is the word, baby! Occasionally I've been known to tinker with certain articles more extensively, such as with Alderaan Ascendancy Contention. It still gives me headache (mainly because there are so many inconsistencies in the source materials), but as a side effect I've developed an interest in all things Alderaan and House of Organa—which is why I find the sudden surge of new Organas from Star Wars: The Old Republic both exhilarating and annoying. Exhilarating because it was about time we learned more of the family beyond the Galactic Civil War era, and annoying because I have no idea how all those characters relate to the established ones (or to one another for that matter, and I'm not sure the game developers are sure either).
As for actually writing articles, I'm not too useful on that front, which is largely due to my nitpicky perfectionism—I don't like creating stubs just for the sake of it, I want to make sure that the article I write is the best possible article. That should explain my annoying tendency to nominate many of the ones I create either as CAs or GAs (preferably the former, but many of them become, eh, too comprehensive and end up on the GA page anyway). I seem to have a mild preference for Jedi characters from the Rise of the Empire era, of which I've written five status articles so far, but other than that my work encompasses a wide range of subjects from obscure planets to furry creatures, with the occasional revolt or disease thrown in.
