Altair 'Tracyn' Jiriad was a Mandalorian who fought against the Yuuzhan Vong alongside Boba Fett and his fellow Mandalorians. Although he carried the nickname "Tracyn", nobody called him like that - no longer, since his childhood.

He had been a weaponssmith on Mandalore, before the Mand'alor called all citizens able to fight for the defense of Mandalore. During the Battle of Mandalore, he fought bravely to defend the Mandalore Sector from the extragalactic invaders and earned himself the honor of fighting alongside the Mandalore Boba Fett and his Mandalorian Protectors in the Liberations of Gyndine, Ord Mantell, Caluula, Tholatin and participated in the decisive victory on [Dubrillion].

Jiriad was also able to infiltrate a Yuuzhan Vong base, gather vital intelligence on it and then escape, all on his own, thus making it easy for the Mandalorian Protectors to liberate the planet. [1]

Jiriad was still with the Mandalorians during the Second Corellian Insurrection.

Altair 'Tracyn' Jiriad's name derives from several things: "Altair" (pronounced Ahl-tie-ear) derives from the Arabic word for "eagle". "Tracyn" and "Jiriad" both derive from Mando'a words: "tracyn" means "fire", and "jiriad" "chalky, ashen-faced".

The user Tracyn is better known as Corran_Fett on TFN, and as Tracyn on starwars.com.

I consider myself as highly experienced in Mando'a (or at least compared to others). I have been taking care of the Mando'a page nearly since the beginning, and I think I know how the language works - that is why you can pretty much trust me on my statements on issues concerning Mando'a. I don't want to boast, but it's like that.
