• Admittedly, I was unaware of what you were trying to do, and now that I see your intentions, this warning doesn't really apply. When merging, please remember to add "#REDIRECT [[article name]]" to the article after you remove the content but before you save the changes. Additionally, you should clearly indicate what you're doing in your edit summary, to avoid any confusion that may arise ("6.2 Removed category," or any of the standard summaries for that matter, has nothing to do with merging).
