Welcome, Alexsau1991! Edit

Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —SFH 21:33, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

First, several other admins agreed in IRC that it was worthy of deletion. Second, I do stand by my decision, and here's the reasoning behind it: If we were to follow your logic, we'd have an article on every noun that's ever used in canon. That means things like "leader" would have an article. That means things like "breath" would have an article. These are words that have no difference in their "real life" definitions and "canon" definitions. "Lift-tube music", although it is a parallel to "elevator music" is unique to canon. Some things aren't different from real life to canon, but have articles anyway. This is because some aspect of that word in canon is different from real life. For example, our sleep article exists because some species do not require sleep—something one would not find on a regular encyclopedia article on sleep. On the contrary, there is nothing different in the usage of the term "pretender" from canon to real life, and since it's not a proper title, we don't need an article on it. I realize it's kind of hard to understand at first, but there is a fairly definitive guide for what should and shouldn't have an article.

Lastly, there is a right way and a wrong way to ask why an article was deleted and possibly request its undeletion. The right way is to politely ask the administrator (in this case, me) why it was deleted. The wrong way is to imply that "I have no life" and the "reason for deletion was bollux." Both of those are personal attacks—which will earn you a block if you repeat the offense. Now, I'm going to assume good faith and leave it at this, but I won't be so patient in the future. I recommend you read the policies I've linked to here, as well as What Wookieepedia is not and heed their advice. If you have questions about anything I've said, just ask me on my talk page or via e-mail, and I'll do what I can to answer them. Cheers. Revan vs. Bastila image Edit

Hey there. I'm just wondering why you think that this image is not canon. I've explained on the talk page why there isn't a contradiction, so maybe you can explain your reasoning also. Just because it didn't happen in the game, doesn't make it non-canon. Cylka-talk- 21:53, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

  • That image is labeled as concept art because we know that Atris and Nihilus never fought. We know that Bastila and Revan did fight. What I am saying is that 1 source (i.e. game) doesn't always tell us what happened. Images in canon sources show events that did happen, unless it is specifically stated otherwise. So no, like I said, just because it didn't happen in the game is not a good reason to say that image isn't canon and that something couldn't happen. Cylka-talk- 22:14, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
  • Whatever about your beef with the image, but {{contradict}} is not an appropriate template for an image. Please do not readd it. You're close to breaking the three revert rule, too. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 16:52, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Capture of Darth Revan Edit

Alexsau, will you please stop changing the infobox image in Capture of Darth Revan. This is the third time you have done so. While you have not broken the three revert rule, you are going against the spirit of the rule. The image that is currently in the infobox is the one that is preferred since we prefer art work images to screenshot images as the main image. Cylka-talk- 19:27, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

The Old Republic Edit

Kindly stop adding "Unidentified" to the Jedi class. It's not unidentified. The reference link says, "Choose to be a Jedi, a Sith, or from a variety of other classic Star Wars roles..." It does not say "Choose to be an unidentified Jedi." - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:18, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

  • I put unnamed Jedi Class as you have said your self it says "Choose to be a Jedi, a Sith, or from a variety of other classic Star Wars roles..." it does not say "Choose to be a Jedi, a Sith Warrior, or from a variety of other classic Star Wars roles..." - there was a dispute about putting Jedi since we do not know what the class will be called, I happened to mention on the talk page that I was going to label it "Unnamed Jedi Class" before I changed it, and then you changed it back with out mentioning on the talk page that you were against having it us "unnamed". As of now we do not know what the class will be called - most likely Jedi Knight but we dont know that, we do how ever know that the class will not be called "Jedi"; and fyi I put the reference link up, so I was aware of what it said. ░▒▓ Alex | Talk ▓▒░ 15:22, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

Hey! im working on a new Star Wars novel (or graphic novel) taking place in the OLD REPUBLIC ERA and i was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what they would like in the story? thanks.

TFU 2 Edit

  • As far as we know as of right now, Yoda, Darth Vader and Juno only appear through a voice over. Once it can be verifiably proven that they will appear in the game beyond that, then by all means, edit the article, but until then. OLIOSTER (talk) Imperial Emblem 19:59, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
    • She probably shouldn't be listed as such just yet either. OLIOSTER (talk) Imperial Emblem 20:03, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
      • Don't worry about it. Once its been confirmed by a developer or writer of the game that these characters will appear in a capacity more than just a voice over, go ahead and make it official in the article. :) OLIOSTER (talk) Imperial Emblem 20:07, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Just a TOR hunch Edit

I have a feeling that when this year's E3 rolls around, we'll get another TOR Cinematic Trailer. When that happens, the trailers will probably be consolidated on their own page, and you will likely be able to remove the unidentified characters unopposed. SinisterSamurai 05:11, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Re:Minister of WarEdit

The title comes from Moff Kilran's page on The Holonet. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 23:05, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

The Darth Malak article is a Featured Article nominee. Please do not make significant changes to it without first consulting the nominator. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 09:23, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

  • I never said it was a rule, and it is indeed significant to Malak's history. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 03:05, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
    • As the nominator, it is said outright in Timeline 8 that the Emperor was Revan and Malak's Sith Master. Until proven otherwise, this should not be removed from the article, as the Timeline is the only source we have to go by that says this, nothing disputes this.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 03:45, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
      • In that case, I'll try asking someone at BioWare whether or not they were. As I said, all we have to go by is the timeline.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 15:15, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
        • Cool. Like I said, I'll ask, since there is no harm in it, and I do appreciate your contributions.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 16:03, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Re:swtor Edit

Well, you can ask Dark Lord Trayus, who is the leader of the TOR WookieeProject. Also, you could ask the individual members of WP:KOTOR and WP:TOR.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 01:49, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

Revan's personalityEdit

SWTOR Wiki template Edit

I added Template:SWTOR Wiki here, to more easily add external links to SWTOR Wiki to Wookieepedia articles. Ausir(talk) 21:43, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

Taral VEdit

Taral V is IN the Maelstrom Nebula. Look at the flashpoints page. They're demoing the Taral V flashpoint in the video. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 20:43, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

  • In that case, make sure the article is titled to be specific to Taral V, and not the entirety of the Maelstrom Nebula. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 20:51, March 14, 2011 (UTC)
    • And, in that case, there is as of yet no confirmation that anything happens within that prison in the Maelstrom nebula, i.e. if there's a "raid" or "prison break." Feel free to create an article for the Taral V raid, but wait on the one regarding the prison specifically. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 20:54, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

Question for ya Edit

Where did you get the updated fansite kit? I have the first version, but I can't seem to find the updated version. Thanks in advance. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:49, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

TOR armour Edit

Hi Alexsau I noticed you've marked several of my articles to be deleted for the reason that there are too many pieces of armour in TOR for them all to have articles. While I agree there are a huge number of pieces of armour in TOR this is no reason for them not to have articles as they are articles which discuss a canon object within the Star Wars universe. As Wookieepedia:What Wookieepedia is not states in the Wookieepedia is not Wikipedia section this means they have a place on this Wiki and so I'm going to remove the deletion requests unless informed of an exception to Wookieepedia guidelines on this matter by an Admin. Ayrehead02 20:39, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

  • Ah your reverting of my removals is fair enough, I'll admit I've never actually read the Deletion template which was an error on my part. However while the Sith armor items may be appropriate to merge with Sith apparel, although I would argue otherwise, the other items should within Wookieepedias guidelines as I stated before have their own articles. I don't see any reason why they should therefore be deleted as I can't find any kind of policy stating they should and therefore request you consider removing the delete templates even if you leave the merge templates on. Ayrehead02 20:57, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
    • Before writing these articles I checked and both KOTOR and KOTOR II as well as galaxies, although not to the extent of the previous two, have large numbers of articles written for equippable clothing for example Zabrak Battle Armor, Bronzium Light Battle Armor and numerous others. Following these examples the interpretation seems to be that RPG clothing does receive articles and if not all of these articles also need to be deleted. Ayrehead02 21:24, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
      • As your right and we are unlikely to agree I've posted on the Senate hall asking about this type of article which will hopefully not only resolve the issues on these articles but perhaps even give a point of reference for all articles of this type which we can then apply, which ever way is decided, to all similar articles including those from KOTOR. Thanks for being so polite and professional while discussing this I greatly appreciate it since others haven't been Ayrehead02 23:02, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
        • As these articles do not violate any Wookieepedia policy (such as being fanon, or copyright infringement) marking them for speedy deletion was the inappropriate course of action. You should have created a single Trash Compactor thread and linked it to each of the articles you feel merits deletion. The community will then decide their fate. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:11, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
          • I've created a trash compactor thread for Ithorian mariner's loose wrap, one of the many article's that are in dispute for the TOR clothing. If it passes and is not deleted, we can also leave all of the other clothing ones alone. 501st DogmaRepublic emblem(Comlink) 23:22, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
            • That sounds like the best course of action. I wasn't actually unaware of the trash compactor, and I hadn't noticed that the deletion tags actually served as speedy delete tags, which isn't the case on most other wiki ive worked on. TOR Edit

Hey Alexsau,

Please send me an email, I'd like to talk with you regarding TOR. Thanks,—Tommy 9281 Wednesday, March 7, 2012, 01:59 UTC

"Our time has come."
Hello <insert name here>! So, it's been a little over three months since The Old Republic was released, and WookieeProject: The Old Republic, which was founded almost two years ago now, was in dire need of a revamp and update. Participation has slumped, but it's time to get back on the wagon and refocus our efforts. So here are some stats: currently, we have ten Featured Articles, thirty-one Good Articles, and thirty-four Comprehensive Articles. Cal Jedi and Coruscantfan have both been doing great work lately, but we need more users to start undertaking projects from the game and related materials. Comprehensive articles are a great way to get started, so take a leap, pick an article, and get crackin'.

Beyond status articles, there are a few other ways you can help WP: TOR with it's primary goals. Those of you who have a current subscription to the game are welcome to visit our new guild page, where we're setting up in-game groups to help catalogue and confirm information here on Wookieepedia. Aside from that, our article lists can always use expansions. We have some fun new programs and challenges coming to WP:TOR in the future, so take a look at our news and discussion area for updates, and always remember to add any of your new status article successes to the news board.
If you have any questions or comments, head on over to the forums or let me know on my talk page. Take a look around the updated project page, and happy hunting! Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 09:39, March 11, 2012 (UTC)

  • I'd also like to encourage you to partake in the project's guild activities. Check it out sometime. Cheers,—Tommy 9281 Tuesday, May 8, 2012, 21:11 UTC

Kallig Edit

Has it been confirmed that the canon Darth title for Lord Kallig is Darth Nox? If that is the case, then the Kallig page should be renamed Darth Nox. But I think until further and more detailed info is given, any assumptions of the Darth title for this Dark Lord needs to be kept as such. --Senjuto 14:34, March 22, 2012 (UTC)

Daala tc Edit

Hey, Alex,

I've made a slight change to the voting options of the Presidency of Daala CT. Just letting everyone who's already cast a vote know. Cheers! Menkooroo 17:57, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Just wanted to check if you're still on it. It's been more than a few days. Not that I'm impatient, I just want to get this over and done with. Mattto123 07:31, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Sith EmperorEdit

Hi Alexsau1991. In an effort to resolve the current stalemate with regards to the naming of this character's page a vote has been proposed. As you were a vocal participant in the initial discussion I thought that you may like to be made aware of the vote here: Forum:CT:Move_Sith_Emperor_to_Emperor_Vitiate.
