[edit] Fact Files

Your Fact Files index will be a great resource. I just noticed that Eugene Talmont gets a mention in the Garindan article. Seeing as he's on the front page, could you check what the mention is and whether it is anything new? --Eyrezer 02:43, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

  • I didn't have the time to read the whole article yet, but I searched the text for Garindan and got no results, so I guess this is new: Garindan received large amounts of money from Eugene Talmont, the Prefect of Tatooine, who also commanded the local sandtrooper garrison. A dozen sandtroopers under the command of Lieutenant Harburik set up their camp next to the Mos Eisley police station. Talmont had a very unconventional take on the law: He raked in bribes from accused traders and bail from visitors. His earnings from these illegal activities were so high that Talmont could affort to hire informants like Garindan. Garindan looked out for law-breakers, so that Talmont could in turn make money out of them. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 10:59, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
  • I echo that this FF index is a great and wonderful thing. Truly appreciated. While you're going through this, I'm not sure how difficult this would be, but I think it would be helpful if you could also somehow include what issue number pages run across. For example, Piett's pages, which run from PIE1-PIE6, run across issues 70 and 89, but one might not necessarily know this. Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:59, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
  • I saw that you added the Fact Files as a source to the Raskar article. Is it possible for you to type up what it had on him? Do you remember where the mention was from? --Eyrezer 07:15, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Raskar is mentioned in the Hoth entry on page HOT 2. There may be more on other pages, I'll check that later.
A pirate, Captain Raskar, had to stay on Hoth for a while to repair his ship and discovered the last known lifeform thus far - a dragon slug. The large creature was lured out of its crevasse by the vibrations of Raskar's ship. [...] Raskar didn't keep track of the incident, but one of the best universities on the planet Mrlsst payed lots of money for the sensor logs. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 10:26, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
  • Thanks, again. --Eyrezer 17:15, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ylenic FF

Any idea where Ylenic It'kla shows up in the Fact Files? Bail Organa would be my first guess. If there's any unique info, could you post or add it too? Thanks. - Lord Hydronium 22:50, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jedipedia

Hallo Borsk Fey'lya,
--88.68.225.156 20:31, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Scrambas

Just for something completely different... If you're able to, I need to know what FF Pello Scrambas was in. Thanks in advance, and thanks anyway if you're not able to find it. :) Thefourdotelipsis 06:49, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

  • To be specific, I just need the code and number, not the FF number itself. Thefourdotelipsis 06:52, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Guess what

Hey, Borsk. Do you know if Sev'rance Tann has her own Fact File entry or if she's in the Chiss entry? Do you know if there's any new info in it? Cheers, -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 21:45, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

  • I only found two mentions of her so far. As far as I can tell, nothing of it is new.
The Defense of Kamino entry mentions her in two sentences. First that she captured the Decimator, then her demise at the hands of Echuu Shen-Jon and the Senate's subsequent decision to stop the Decimator project.
Another two sentences in Dooku's entry, basically the same in a different wording with the addition that Ventress replaced Tann as the head of the Dark Acolytes.
The Fact File also capitalizes the "R" in her name. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 13:33, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks Borsk. :-D -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 15:35, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Fanon Warning

The "Fanon" you refer to was not my own fanfiction. It was legitimately referenced to a wikipedia page which seems to have since disappeared due to Wikipedia's systematic purging of Star Wars-related things. According to that article, Ellie was indeed Princess of Theed at some point. I would appreciate you not warning me in future for things I have not done wrong. Thank you. [edit] "Incident at Horn Station"

Hey, Borsk. I just noticed your edit to Lutrillian, removing the "ambiguously canon" tag from the appearance in the Star Wars Tales story "Incident at Horn Station". Has this story been declared canon now? Can you tell me where this was done? Thanks! SavageBob 17:42, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

  • The events from Incident at Horn Station were referenced in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, elevating this story to C-canon. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 16:57, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Cool, thanks for the info. I figured something like that must've been the case. SavageBob 22:12, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Labor Pains

Hello there, I'm working on the Black Vulkars page but I don't know what info is in Labor Pains. Could you possibly tell me what references to the Black Vulkars that the story has? It would help me get the article's GAN approved. Thanks NayayenTransmit words at me 23:15, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Might I ask if you've had any luck with finding the info yet? NayayenTransmit words at me 15:06, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
    • I'm sorry, I had a hard time last week to find the story again. Navigating through the new design of the Official Site is very frustrating. I decided to try it again some time later...and then forgot it completely. Sorry again. I finally got it now, this is all there is: [Gryph:] The good thing with fencing artwork is it's usually a one-customer kind of deal. It's not a bunch of transactions, which raises your overhead like crazy. Leave that to the swoop gang newbies, hustling ryll a tube at a time. If they weren't wasting their own product on themselves, they'd still be in the hole for not counting their own labor costs. (I'll tell you, a good accountant and the Black Vulkars could start selling shares on the Coruscant Exchange.) --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:24, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
  • That's okay, thanks kindly for the help. NayayenTransmit words at me 16:28, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Hello again Borsk, sorry to be a pain but can I ask you to have another look at Labor Pains for me? I'm getting Little Bivoli prepped for GAN (possibly FAN if I'm feeling ambitious) and I'd like to know if it is mentioned. The Labor Pains article doesn't list the Little Bivoli as being mentioned nor even Slyysk which is surprising to me. Cheers, NayayenTalk 21:24, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I checked the story for both, but they're really not mentioned in there. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 13:42, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Squibs in the Fact File

Hi, Borsk! I'm currently trying to update the Squib article, and I noticed that you added The Official Star Wars Fact File as a source to the articles on Korad and Slythor, the Squib crimelord who lives on that world. Do you know what specific entry they were filed under? I asked on IRC, but no one could find where Slythor is mentioned in the Fact File. Thanks for your help! ~ SavageBob 02:50, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Slythor is mentioned in the "R4 Unit" entry on page AST4. There is a short paragraph about R4-B11 which basically reads the same as our article of the droid. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 12:00, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Gotcha. Thanks! ~ SavageBob 11:43, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Fact File stuff

Hey Borsk, could you check Fact File 45 for any new info about the COO cook droid? Specifically, it's under the Coruscant Freighter (Jendirian Valley) section. Thanks a million. Chack Jadson (Talk) 01:28, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

  • There's nothing about the droid in the Jendirian Valley entry, but COO-2180 has its own 2-page entry on pages COO1-2 of Fact File issue 78. I'll check those pages as soon as possible. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 12:00, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Thanks. Sorry I gave you the wrong issue number. Chack Jadson (Talk) 19:44, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
      • Sorry to bug you, but I was just wondering if you've made any progress with this. Thanks! Chack Jadson (Talk) 20:17, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
        • Yes, I read your article this morning and compared it to the Fact File entry. I didn't find any new info that wasn't already in the article, except for a curiosity that may be good to add to the BTS: The Fact File doesn't mention IA as the manufacturer, but claims that the droid was a product of Publictechnic. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 20:25, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Agen kolar

why are you deleting what im putting about agens kolars death Wallyx 21:05, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

  • I have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't remove anything from Kolar's article. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 14:17, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
    • You can expect this kind of general response from Borsk Fey'lya after he deletes stuff that should be there. Michael von Preußen
      • Actually you can check the history of the Agen Kolar article here, and it is quite clear that Borsk has not removed anything from the article. I suggest you check your facts before making such allegations, Michael von Preßen. --Eyrezer 01:27, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Redlinks

Would you like to join my group and Ventress112's group called the redlink abolishers, its not an official project but we do go around creating redlinks to help the wiki and we need all the help we can get. (we are not sockpuppets, just friends) --Generalgrievous112

  • I have my own projects running and they are already quite time-consuming. So thank you, but no. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 10:00, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Vaapad

  • Borsk, I saw that you recently added a Fact File source to Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad. Would you mind providing the information from that source? Myself and another user are in the finishing stages of a replacement version of that article, and the information would be useful in preparation for the FAN. Thanks again. ;-) Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 17:23, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
    • Never mind, Jaymach was able to help in IRC. Thanks, though. Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 23:50, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Could you verify this for me?

Hey there. I'm asking you this out of the assumption that you have a copy of The Farlander Papers because of the edits you made that added the appearances section to that article. If you don't have a copy, you can totally disregard this except to please let me know so I can ask someone else. If you do have a copy....

I stumbled across the Pyxidis article in my crusade to clean up the orphaned pages. It references the Cygnus system. Now I totally understand that the Cygnus system originated in the Book of Imperial Shuttle Plans, but I was wondering if the Farlander Papers (now listed as a source for Pyxidis) actually references the Cygnus system, or (while I'm being skeptical) if it even references Pyxidis. I asked the original author, and I think we've just had some issues communicating, and unfortunately, the other user who added the source hasn't contributed in over a year and a half. So I was hoping you'd be able to check on the information for me. If the Farlander Papers references the system, we can make an article for it. If it doesn't reference Cygnus, we need to remove that information from the Pyxidis article. If it doesn't reference Pyxidis, then we need to trash or redirect that article. Can you help? Wildyoda 03:12, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I made a text search for Pyxidis and Cygnus, but got no results. Wherever this information comes from, it's not from The Farlander Papers. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 11:22, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Joruss

Hi, thanks for adding the Fact File sources to Joruus C'baoth. Would you happen to know if there was any new info in those Fact Files? Many thanks. Chack Jadson (Talk) 23:12, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

  • There's no new info in his entry, it's just a very rough summarization of the Thrawn trilogy. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 23:19, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
    • Thank you, Borsk. Could you also check Daala and Motti's entries for me? No need to hurry, since you're already doing me a big favor by checking. I really appreciate your willingness to help. Thanks. Chack Jadson (Talk) 12:38, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
      • There's nothing about Daala in the Fact File that isn't already in her article. I'll try to read Motti's entry this evening. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 12:07, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
      • Motti's File does not offer anything new either. Everything's in our current article. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 11:06, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Fact Files

Unfortunately, this is a bit of a fishing mission. Null Zone has the Fact Files as a source. Any chance you can find out where it is mentioned? I am mostly wondering if it places it in the Mid Rim as that article claims. --Eyrezer 10:54, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

  • It's not mentioned in the Fact File's Mid Rim article and I don't remember reading anything about the Null Zone in issues 75 to 140, but I'll keep my eyes open for it. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 12:22, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalizing

Hi, Great Borsk Fey'lya (I like your name), you would see that in my Talk Page, Graestran told me I was vandalizing pages, and that I would be blocked by an administrador. You know, I wasn't erasing, or doing something bad, or anything, actually, I was translating some of your contain from Rex, I think, to Spanish Wookieepedia. I never wanted to erase nothing, but I had a problem with my computer, and it was erased. It wasn't my fault.

And something else, I am new in Wookieepedia, but I am not in the Spanish one, so, I wasn't welcome by any user, or administrator... But I was in the spanish one, and I would like a very nice and pleasent welcome...

Well, thanks for everything. --Lord David 01:46, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Llollulion

Hey, could you tell me what the Outlander Club fact file says about Llollulion? Cheers, -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 17:15, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

  • No problem, I'll look into it later this evening. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 17:18, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
  • Alright. After escaping from prison, the trio of prisoners [Faytonni, Med-Beq and Llollulion] went directly to the Outlander Club. There, in the same night Anakin and Obi-Wan were looking for Zam Wesell, they tried to find someone who could help them get off-planet. "One of them, Llollulion, was a Borlovian of noble birth, who got into debt with a crime lord. An unfortunate chain of events brought him directly into a cell of the CoCo District prison. Arriving at the Outlander after his escape, all Llollulion wanted was to leave Coruscant as quick as possible." That's all. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 20:55, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Squibs and tractor beams

Hey, Borsk. I saw you added this to the "Sources" of the Squib article:

What exactly does this piece say about Squibs? I'd like to make sure to add the information the Squib article for completeness's sake! Thanks, ~ SavageBob 10:53, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

  • The Squib people of Skor II use tractor beams for peaceful purposes. The Squibs are galactic scavengers, always searching for dropped space garbage. The Squib junk utilization ship (?, I'm translating this from the German Fact File, I have no idea how it's called in English) was built for this purpose. It was a needle-shaped starship, equipped with the allegedly most powerful tractor beams of the galaxy. When the Squib were threatened, they used their tractor beams to launch pieces of junk at their attackers or to create a defense shield out of their trash. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 11:18, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
    • Thanks! The "junk utilization ship" is probably a reclamation ship, by the way. I'm adding the info to the article now. ~ SavageBob 11:40, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Coding

Hi Borsk. I've borrowed the code from your user page, but it needs a little bit of tweaking for my purposes. Would you be able to make the three columns on this page be the same width? If you can, please feel free to go ahead and edit the page directly. --Eyrezer 02:41, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks! So simple, if you know where to put it... --Eyrezer 05:59, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Holocom center, Jedi Temple

What is your source for the holocomm room being in the High Council Spire? The movie seems to point to it being in the Sacred Spire and I really havent seen it mentioned in the book. And, not to be rude, but you have changed my edits before, and, instead of sourcing it or writing on the talk page or in the comment box, you just keep reverting it, which make you seem cocky and unfriendly. So, do you mind citing why you think it is the way you think it is in the future? Thanks! Purpilia 20:58, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Complete Locations places the holocomm center in the High Council Tower. I checked all the other sources and none of them gave a specific location for the room. Concerning my reverts to your edits: I had to clean up almost all of our Jedi Temple articles in the last couple of days, because they were filled with fanon, speculation and original research, and I will continue to remove unverfied information from these articles, if sources are not properly cited. I didn't mean to be unfriendly or rude, but sometimes I'm in a hurry and do not have the time to give long justifications for my reverts. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 21:50, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the answer! And, yeah the Temple locations needed to be changed, what with Fate of the Jedi confirming that the towers were not rebuilt. I just checked and I agree that the comm room is in the High Council Tower as depicted in Complete Locations; though I personally feel it is in the Central Spire, until then we can leave it as you have it. Thanks alot! Purpilia 23:01, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Clegg Holdfast in NEGC

Hey, Borsk. Do you happen to remember in whose entry Clegg Holdfast is mentioned in The New Essential Guide to Characters? I'm having a hard time finding him in the book. Thanks! ~ SavageBob 04:09, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Sure, Holdfast has his own entry among the "Podracer Pilots" on page 135. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 05:03, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
    • Oh, duh. I didn't realize they had a comglomerate entry for all of them! Thanks! ~ SavageBob 07:27, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Rebellion

I was told in IRC that you have Star Wars: Rebellion. I was wondering if it would be possible to get any information pertinent to Lando Calrissian from that source, and possibly its strategy guide if you have access to it, whenever you get a chance. Thank you very much in advance, Borsk. Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 22:54, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

  • I don't have the strategy guide, but this is from Lando's game profile: This former smuggler and pirate turned legitimate businessman has currently set up shop as Baron Administrator of Cloud City in the Bespin system. His background makes him an important and valuable ally for the Alliance. In addition to his piloting and espionage skills from his past, Lando now possesses knowledge relating to planetary upkeep and facility improvement. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 12:12, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Sedriss

Hey Borsk, I understand this was a while ago, but I'm in a spot of bother. I've decided to finally get around to writing up Sedriss' article, but it appears that getting a translation for those FFs you sent me wasn't as easy as I predicted. I was wondering whether or not your offer to translate them still stood? Thanks, Thefourdotelipsis 06:35, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

  • That's terrific! Thank you very much for your help. Thefourdotelipsis 22:41, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] I'm a little confused about something. Did the Wiki have an overhaul?

Borsk, I'm a little confused about something. Did the Wiki have an overhaul? I know I've been here before and made contributions, but when I signed in today my userpage was reverted to the way it was the day I joined. I'm just curious as to what happened. LadyVader 21:56, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

  • It may have something to do with the new Wikia upgrade (Maybe you've noticed the notification at the top of the page). Your userpage hasn't been altered since last August, however. The edit history shows no further changes and it still looks the same to me, so I don't know what's going on there. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:09, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Engines for Victory II-class Star Destroyer

Hi. Bit of a problem here, the text in the body of the article states: "the designers fitted the ships with powerful Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc. engines, as the Victory I's LF9 ion engines could not produce sufficient acceleration to engage faster and newer vessels in ship-to-ship combat.", but the panel to the right lists the engines as being the original LF9 ion engines. Obviously one of these is wrong, and it seems to be the panel. I have changed this info once, but have had it reverted, however the research I've done does seem to indicate that the information in the panel is wrong, and the information in the body of text is correct. Based on that I will change it back so that the text and panel match.--Stunteddwarf 23:08, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

  • I reverted your edit because Hoersch Kessel isn't a type of engine, but a company and doesn't belong into this field of the infobox. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:09, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Kyp Durron

Hi Borsk,

I'm looking to expand Kyp Durron's article over the summer and am laying the groundwork as best I can. One image which, strangely, is lacking from the Wook is Kyp's image from The Essential Guide to Characters, which is located on page 50 of my edition back home. I was wondering, seeing as you have uploaded a bunch of other images from TEGC, if you could upload Kyp's image and place it here, doesn't really matter where.

Many thanks!

-- Harrar (Villip) 13:39, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Awesome, thanks for the speedy upload :) I owe you -- Harrar (Villip) 14:46, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] A Day in the Life

Hey Borsk. I saw that you have uploaded all of the site's images from A Day in the Life. Would you be able to scan something for me out of there? Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:00, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

  • That's one of the Tales issues I do not have, unfortunately. I took all the images from here. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:44, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook

Borsk, do you happen to have the original edition of this? I've been told there's info for Mara in it, and was wondering if you had access to this. Thanks. ;-) Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 17:10, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Sorry, Ataru, but I do not have this book. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 18:49, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Fact Files

Hi Borsk. Could you check if the planet Generis is mentioned in the Fact Files? Possible locations would be anything to do with Pash Cracken, or possibly as part of the Thrawn Campaign or Yuuzhan Vong incursions. It is probably unlikely, but you never know. --Eyrezer 12:06, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

  • I checked all Fact File entries that could somehow be related to Generis, but didn't find a single mention of the planet. It's not even on the galaxy map. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 14:07, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
    • Thank you very much for checking that. I understand that there are two Fact Files maps. Someone said Generis was marked on the Clone Wars map from FF138. Did you check that one too? --Eyrezer 02:42, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
      • I do not have access to the Clone Wars map, unfortunately, for it is one of the many pages that didn't make it into the German Fact File. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 05:14, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] German version of Darksaber

Hey Borsk, I was wondering if you could help me with something. According to this, chapter 35 of the German version of Darksaber mentions the construction of a third Death Star. I've checked and re-checked the English version, yet I can find no mention. Could you provide me with the actual quote from the German version (preferably translated into English)? Thanks in advance. Grand Moff Tranner (Comlink) 19:48, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

  • There seems to be a mistranslation in the German book. The original sentence in question is: "Armament factories processed resources into additional weapons: TIE fighters, blastboats, AT-STs, and structural components of new Star Destroyers." This was erroneously translated to: "Armament factories processed resources into additional weapons: TIE fighters, blastboats, AT-STs, and structural components of new Death Stars." --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 20:29, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] I have a few questions please

Borsk, I have a few questions and I was wondering if you could help me with them please:

1: How does a user create links in a custom signature? I know the page you have to go to (User, then Preferences) and found the place where you have to type the text, but what code do you need to enter in the signature box to make the signature into a link to your userpage and talkpage? I looked at my signature box and my brain blanked. Is there any page here that tells a user how to type the code step-by step and tells you the exact keys you have to hit? 2: Also, can you use and reduce an image that's already on Wookieepedia? If you can, what steps do you need to follow to reduce it? I have no idea how to do any of this and I wish I knew how. :) --LadyVader 12:29, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Fact Files

Hey, Borsk. Could you please check if Qu Rahn, Jan Ors, Morgan Katarn, WeeGee and each one of the Seven Dark Jedi are mentioned in the FFs? The possible locations are 8t88s, Jerec's and Kyle Katarn's entries. QuiGonJinn (Talk) 15:35, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Let's start with Jerec's entry: Qu Rahn is mentioned on pages DUN2 + DUN4, Morgan Katarn on page DUN4
  • Now Kyle's entry: Morgan Katarn, pages KAT1-6; Jan Ors, pages KAT4-6 + KAT8; Qu Rahn, page KAT6.
  • There's nothing in 8T88's entry. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:54, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
    • Great! Thanks a lot. QuiGonJinn (Talk) 15:57, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
      • One more thing. As I understand, pages KAT1-4 are in FF#124, while KAT5-8 are in FF#140. Am I right? QuiGonJinn (Talk) 16:13, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
        • Yes, that's right. I forgot to mention the issue numbers earlier. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 16:18, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey man, do you what specific Star Wars fact book and page Dyer appeared in? right now I found 11 and 34, however those could be wrong. JangFett Talk 15:00, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Give me some time to look into it and I'll add the relevant sources to the article. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:06, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Episode I Adventures 8: Trouble on Tatooine

Hi Borsk. Do you have Episode I Adventures 8: Trouble on Tatooine? It seems a difficult source to track down. --Eyrezer 23:47, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

  • No, sorry, I don't have that one. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 13:14, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Shad Jelavan

Hey Borsk, please could you check Labor Pains again for me? The CUSWE entry on Shad Jelavan says that he is mentioned in it and I wanted to be sure. I doubt it will be anything more than an Imo as "those dead Padawans" or something but I could be wrong. Thanks, Nayayentalk 11:33, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

  • He's not mentioned in there, not even indirectly. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 14:39, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
    • Oh well, thanks for checking though; saves me having to get a Hyperspace subscription =P. Nayayentalk 20:08, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Insider 75

Hey Borsk, I was wondering if you owned Insider 75? The reason being that I was looking for information on Fang Zar from Republic HoloNet News Core Edition 15:3:02. If you have it and could tell me the context in which he appears, that would be much appreciated. Darth Trayus (Trayus Academy) 19:34, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

  • I don't have the original Insider 75, but the issue of the German "Insider" in which this news article was included. I can only try to retranslate it for you: (Edit: I managed to find the original text:)
  • CORELLIANS FEAR IMPENDING ATTACK
CORELLIAN NODE -With Duro a short distance down the Corellian Trade Spine, many Corellians are now bracing themselves for an impending attack from the Confederacy. CorSec forces have been at maximum alert throughout the sector, particularly in the protection of the Corellian Engineering Corporation shipyards.
Since before the outbreak of hostilities in the Clone Wars, Corellia has taken a limited role in fighting the Separatist forces, producing warships to quota and helping in the distribution of aid and medical supplies. Analysts predict that since the fighting has come perilously close to Corellian borders, the traditionally isolationist sector will take a more active role in the war.
Despite political unpopularity, Corellia has proven to have many vocal allies in the Senate. "This is not about politics," said Senator Fang Zar (Sern Prime), a trading partner with the Corellian sector and a longtime political ally and personal friend to Senator Garm Bel Iblis. "This is about helping people who may be endangered."
Other Senators have not been so supportive. "Where were Senator Bel Iblis and his forces when we needed them at Duro? He will soon come to realize that there comes a price to sticking your head in the sand," said Senator Orn Free Taa (Ryloth).
  • There's also an image of Zar in the article, a Joe Corroney rendition of the one you're currently using in the P&T. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 14:39, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Het Nkik

Hi Borsk, I have a Fact File request (actually 2). Could you check Fact File 22 (CAN6, Mos Eisley Cantina Characters), and Fact File 79 (JAW11, Jawas) for info on Het Nkik? No hurry on this, if you could just get sometime in the next few days when you're free, I'd appreciate it (if you don't have these, then oops, my bad). Thank you, Borsk. Chack Jadson (Talk) 00:15, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

  • CAN6:
Het Nkik
Most Jawas in Chalmun's Cantina only came to sell droids. Het Nkik came for another reason - vengeance. After Imperial stormtroopers wiped out his clan, he went to the cantina to work on a plan of revenge. This should turn out to be a mistake, as a Ranat trader named Reegesk stole the energy cell from the Jawa's blaster. Het Nkik didn't notice anything and died when he attacked the Imperial soldiers.
  • JAW6:
Jawa Dreams
One Jawa who was unsatisfied with his life and his status was named Het Nkik. For a whole lot of time, he tried to convince his people that they deserved a far better treating, but it wasn't until Imperial troops destroyed the sandcrawler of his friend that he decided to act more aggressively.
He acquired a BlasTech DL-44 blaster pistol and traveled to Mos Eisley where he planned to attack several stormtroopers and die the death of a martyr. Nkik believed he would become an inspiring example for other Jawas.
A Fatal End
But when he pulled the trigger, he had to realize that the power cell of his blaster had been stolen from him. Stormtrooper 1047, however, only noticed how a Jawa aimed with a blaster at him and shot the poor pipsqueak, ending the Jawa's romantic dreams of a life as a freedom fighter in the most unromantic way. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:24, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Insider 14

  • Borsk, I heard there was a Billy Dee Williams interview in Insider 14 and was wondering if you had access to that particular source. There's no rush to get to this, but I figured I'd ask. Thank you for your help. Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 15:50, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
    • I don't have Insider #14, but just found out that the interview was also printed in Star Wars - Das offizielle Magazin #4 - which I have. It's in German, of course. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 16:18, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
      • If you have time to make a translation, that'd be great, but if not, I'll ask around. Thanks for checking, Borsk. :-) Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 04:37, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hi Borsk Fey'lya

I'm really sorry to take some of your time, but I need help. I want to provide an Image for the Galleon from the Small Victories/Nadelstiche Comics, but I'm not allowed to do so, is there anything I can do? IvanSinclair 16:07, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Constantin De Goguel?

So I made the page because I saw he was sthe actor in ANH, and then I log back on today to find the actor changed and my page deleted as nonsense, does this mean Constantin De Goguel was credited incorrectly and actually never acted in ANH? Natonstan 15:10, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Yes, that's true. Daine Jir was not played by De Goguel, but by actor Al Lampert. I don't know where the information comes from that says it was De Goguel in ANH. SW.com confirmed it was Lampert, Lampert is the guy who's signing the autographs, and it's cleary visible that the Al Lampert from Space 1999 is the person who portrayed Daine Jir. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 16:05, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Guess what?...Fact Files

Hey Borsk I have a FF request. Can you transcribe for me the early part of Gorm the Dissolver's bio, related to the Arkanian Revolution, and the section that describes his features and etc. Cheers, -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 21:10, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Well, that's basically all his entry is about. ;) I'll take care of it in the next couple of days. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 16:05, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
    • That's cool, thank you very much, there's no rush. I'm actually thinking of doing Gorm's article as well as the Arkanian Revolution's, so if you could transcribe the whole entry (assuming it isn't too long) for me that would be brilliant. Thanks a bunch Borsk. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 15:02, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
      • I finally got around to start with the translation of the pages. Sorry that it took so long. I didn't have the time to get right on it when you approached me, so I put the pages aside - and forgot about them after a while.

Here's his entry:

Source:  The Official Star Wars Fact File

"Is he a droid?" ..."You could say so."

GORM THE DISSOLVER

Gorm the Dissolver may look like a walking pile of junk, but he is an extremely dangerous enemy.

Technical data

Height: 2.5 meters
Equipment: - Droid brain
- Molecular garotte
- Rangefinder
- Slugthrower rifle
Design: Arkanian Renegades

Gorm the Dissolver was less born or constructed, but more assembled together. The inhabitants of the planet Arkania were a technological advanced species with unsurpassed skills in the field of cyborg technology. When a group of rogue Arkanian scientists tried to overthrow the government, they created an army of cruesome half-organic droids and set them on their unaware victims.

Destruction of the Cyborgs

In the ensuing bloody turmoils, the rogue scientists were killed and most of the cyborgs were destroyed, but a handful survived the downfall of their creators. Among them was Gorm the Dissolver who managed to leave Arkania, although Mace Windu tried to stop him from doing so.

After his escape from Arkania, Gorm terrorized the space routes of the galaxy for a long time, until he thought of using his special capabilities to live from bounty hunting.

Upgrading

In the course of his long and extremely successful career, Gorm changed his appearance over and over again. His advanced droid brain does not only allow him to make necessary maintenance and repair works on his own, but also allows him the independant implantation of organical and mechanical limbs. It's common understanding that by now Gorm has body parts of no less than six different species and of an unknown amount of droids implanted. Gorm became infamous for the arm of an recycling droid that decomposed organical remains into their molecular components. It was never fully clarified if this process only satisfied Gorm's wish of his enemy's complete destruction or - as others have suggested - helped him to bring ordinary food into a form that fitted his needs. Gorm lost the arm that earned his the name "Dissolver" during a confrontation with a group of Jedi. Since Gorn can renew damaged parts as needed, he is almost indestructible. To end the life of the cyborg, his adversary would have to disassemble him into the tiniest pieces. This ability, to rise from the dead, demonstrated Gorn in an impressive way on Nar Shaddaa when he was hit by a lucky shot of the Rodian Greedo. The thought dead Gorm repaired himself and just got up again. Episodes likes this have contributed to his reputation and strenghtened his self-confidence tremendously.

Changeling

Because of his "improvement measures" Gorm's appearance can drastically change from one year to the other. His head unit always seems to stay the same, however. When he was last seen, the scaled and claw-like limb of a Trandoshan formed his left arm. It possibly belonged to Vultar the Ugly - after Gorm got the assignment to kill this criminal, Vultar was never heard of again. Gorm the Dissolver preferably kills his prey with a molecular garotte hidden inside his right wrist. For assassinations from a long distance, he used his slugthrower rifle. Its fire grenades didn't just kill their targets, but erased them entirely.

[edit] Bothawui

Ah, okay, I see. Sorry about the confusion. Could you point me to the page it's on in the Atlas so I can verify it? CC7567 (talk) 20:37, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the info; I'll add it into the article when I get the chance. CC7567 (talk) 20:01, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Fact Files! Again!

Hey Borsk. I bet you regret getting the Fact Files by now, but do you have any idea where the Otana is mentioned? I figured Battle of Hoth might mention it but Jaymach had a look and couldn't see it. Thanks. Green Tentacle (Talk) 19:55, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

  • It's mentioned on "HOT14 - Escape of the Rebels", but I won't be able to give you any details until tomorrow. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 22:22, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
  • Alright. The crew of the YT-2000 freighter Otana could witness [that larger freighters had great difficulties to get through the Imperial blockade of Hoth]: Tomaas Azzameen navigated his ship out of Hoth's space and through the blockade with the assistance of Alliance fighters. Despite his experiences as a pilot, the Otana received damages and the merchant was lucky to make it home. The Empire didn't succeed in identifying the freighter and the Azzameen's sideline - to supply the Alliance with equipment - stayed a secret. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 17:22, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Headhunter carbine

Hey, Borsk, could you please tell me why exactly was Headhunter blaster carbine deemed fanon? Just curious. MauserComlink 15:00, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Because it doesn't appear in Single Cell, which was its only source. The user who created the article probably used the Scalphunter prototype from the comic as the basis. Maybe he just typed in the wrong name unintentionally. Anyway, we have an article on the blaster and we don't need this as a redirect. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:07, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
    • Alright, thanks for an explanation. MauserComlink 15:13, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Alderaan Ascendancy Contention info in Fact Files

Hi! I'm planning some expansions to the Alderaan Ascendancy Contention article, and I was wondering if you could tell me what the Fact Files 18 & 67 say about it (I'm assuming you have the issues, since you added them as sources to the article). I can read German, so the language won't be a problem if you don't have the English ones. I'd be grateful if you could tell me the exact wording in the Fact Files, even if they don't contain any information that isn't already in our article—I just want to make sure I haven't missed anything, since I didn't know about the Fact Files when I was GAing the article. Thank you in advance! Tinwe 09:12, September 11, 2009 (UTC)

  • Here is the info from the German Fact Files.
--Borsk Fey'lya Talk 17:27, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Fact Files and Zule Xiss

Howdy Borsk. So I understand that the Battle of Jabiim is the subject of several Fact Files articles, so I need to know which—if any—of these mention Zule Xiss. Any help you could provide on this would be much appreciated. Darth Trayus (Trayus Academy) 01:16, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

  • I'm afraid I can't help you with the six Battle of Jabiim pages of the Fact File, they were not included in the German version. I added all of the other pages that mention her to the Sources section. There's no new information, however. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 18:29, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Fact Files…

Hey, Borsk. Could you check if Ysanne Isard's entry in The Official Star Wars Fact File 110 has any mention of her clone? Thanks in advance. QuiGonJinn (Talk) 19:19, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

  • Yes, the clone is mentioned on the last page of the entry that summarizes the events from Isard's Revenge. No new information. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:39, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Oph Nar Dinnid

Hi Borsk. A while back, you added The New Essential Chronology as a source for Oph Nar Dinnid. Do you remember where the mention is? I am writing up the Lyunesi species. --Eyrezer 02:31, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

  • I think I made a mistake when I added the NEC to the Sources, it's the NEGTC that mentions him. Page 82, IG-88 entry: "Eventually, IG-88B joined the Bounty Hunters' Guild and participated in such missions as the search for the Yavin Vassilika and the hunt for Oph Nar Dinnid on the home planet of the Shell Hutts." --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 06:44, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
    • Ah, ok! Thanks. --Eyrezer 09:16, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Reversion query

Hi, I hope I've come to the right talk page for this kind of issue. On Nov 30th I made a small edit where, as you can see, I added info about a creature's length from the article into the infobox. Moments later my edit was reverted by the user I need a name. I went to his talk page and asked for the reason behind this, but he isn't answering me, despite the evidence of his activity since then. If indeed I did something wrong in the aforementioned article, I would like to know. Thanks. -NistraTalk 17:37, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

  • Well, never mind, he answered at last. -NistraTalk 18:15, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Bodo Baas's Master

Hi Borsk! Could you look up Bodo Baas or any possible related entries for Bodo Baas's Master in the Fact Files and in the Complete SW Encyclopedia? Any help is much appreciated. I nominated the Master to GA, but I found nearly nothing in sourcebooks and guides. Darth Morrt 21:55, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

  • I don't have the CSWE, but I can tell you that Baas's Master isn't mentioned in the Fact Files. --Borsk Fey'lya Talk 15:56, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
