ThanksEdit

Thanks so much for updating the Improvement Drive Current Rankings. I love you forever.--Erl 17:41, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

  • You're welcome. I've been trying to keep up with them for a week or so now. Every time I log in it's the first thing I check. - Breathesgelatin 22:38, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
    • I love you even more forever. Hey, you should make a suppage article about "Female Star Wars fans" (an endangered species, due to George Lucas's inability to understand the female human).--Erl 21:02, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
      • "Hold me like you did on Naboo, so long ago--" *BARF* hah. Not sure I'm qualified to write the article at this point. I know a bit of what I would include but I'd need to do a lot of research. I could put it on my to-do list though. - Breathesgelatin 00:34, 7 April 2006 (PDT)
  • Thanks for updating the vote count on the I-Drive. I didn't have a lot of time last night so I was forced to miss updating it. Thanks. SecondSight 07:38, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
    • Thanks... I used to do it pretty much everyday. - Breathesgelatin 14:05, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

"Breathesgelatin was a human female. As such, this made her a rarity in the Star Wars Fandom."Edit

You go, girl. Also nice to see I'm not the only one who didn't get into SW until the SEs. CooperTFN 05:32, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Woo, yay for women. So many of the SW women aren't even *real fans* but people who got into it because of their significant other. I say screw that! And yeah, i think for a lot of people around our age (5 ABY = 1982, right?) the SEs were what first got them hooked. I mean I'd somehow never even seen the movies at all until then, and I think seeing it in theatres first can just be... really overwhelming. Oh yeah and go update the release schedule for books! My Amazon So You'd Like to... Buy all the Upcoming Star Books is more up to date than TFN! - Breathesgelatin 05:55, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Yeah, 1982. I do cherish the fact that I saw 'em first on the big screen, but even having had nothing to do with SW before then, I still knew Vader was Luke's father (I'd thought Luke was played by Harrison Ford, but that's another story). If I had one wish it'd be to go back to 1980 and see Empire completely fresh when everyone else did. And I'll have you know the schedule's actually been updated fairly recently - I've even got the fourth LotF title on there. Only thing it's missing as far as I know is the cover for Path of Destruction; am I forgetting something? CooperTFN 06:06, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
      • Just at a glance: The Bloodlines cover and summary are missing, the Tempest early summary is missing, you have the date wrong for August 2008 (2007 is there instead), and you're missing all the YA books, but I don't know if that's on purpose or not. Maybe all of it is on purpose. LOL. It's better than when I checked two days ago if that makes you feel better. ;) - Breathesgelatin 06:16, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
        • &$%#. I had the Bloodlines summary added, but it didn't transfer to the live site. The covers...meh. I'll do 'em tomorrow. Everything else, um...yes. Yes, it's all intentional. Are you saying August 2007 isn't in 2008? ::slinks away in shame:: CooperTFN 06:24, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
          • Don't fret, Gel. May I call you Gel? :P Wookieepedia is always a work in progress and you're fully welcome to fix our problems since there are so many areas not covered by people with sharp eyes like yours. :) -- Riffsyphon1024 22:45, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
            • LOL. Gel! I've never gotten that one before. Usually it's BG, but I have no problems with Gel, BG, or you can just call me Susan/Sus. I am not fretting too much--I do have a good idea and am a bit of a grammar/spelling perfectionist also so it seems that Wookieepedia is the place for me. Although sadly my lack of gaming skills keeps me away from certain aspect of the SW Universe. And vehicles and troopers quite honestly bore me. - Breathesgelatin 02:04, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
              • Guess that means I gotta pick up the slack, then. And welcome. I'm TIE. I post @ TF.N. You can call me Alex. TIEPilot051999 02:56, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
                • Hi Alex! Thanks for the introduction. :) - Breathesgelatin 03:48, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
                • Wow! I think I'm one of the few of this generation-type-thingy who started on the OT on videocassette. I was hooked before the SE's. Anyway, I extend my welcome to you and say that it's nice to have another history nerd around :P 30px Shadowtrooper talk 03:16, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
                  • Yay for history. What era of history do you study? - Breathesgelatin 03:48, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
                    • Ummmm...nothing in particular. Just history, I like it all, western, european, asian, middle ages, renaissance, I don't much care. It's all fun! (That's right, I said history's fun.) 30px Shadowtrooper talk 23:08, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
                      • Cool. I do 16th and 17th century French cultural and social history, with an emphasis on the family and gender roles. But I also really like the 19th century and the medieval and late antique periods. History is fun. - Breathesgelatin 23:23, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
  • Galactic history is even better. :P As for your lack of certain aspects of the SW Universe, you're not alone as many others tend to focus on certain things and not so much or at all on others. I myself don't know much about the KOTOR era as I do 32 BBY to 40 ABY. -- Riffsyphon1024

      • Heh, I was bugging her too (on AIM). Though not because she's a girl or because of the picture. She got into SW because of the Spec. Ed. and so did I. That's not something I have run into much, though I see CooperTFN did too (hurray!). I wish I got this much attention when I joined... :) --DannyBoy7783 04:13, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Conclave on Kessel picsEdit

Hey, thanks for the death pics for the people of the Conclave on Kessel (Bultar Swan, Koffi Arana, Shadday Potkin, and Jastus Farr). I've been waiting for those for a very, very, very long time. -- Cato Neimoidia 23:26, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

  • No prob! If you ever need any comic scans just let me know... I put them all on the respective pages for the corresponding Jedi also... - Breathesgelatin 03:28, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Can you scan the entire comic Star Wars Purge for me??? I can't find it here in Holland, and i've went through 50 book stores!!!!Master Secura
      • I'll show you a little secret: [1]. It's a Russian site with scans of basically every SW comic--and all of the content is in English! They have Purge up, let me know if you have any trouble with it. :) - Breathesgelatin 20:45, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
      • Holy shi*! It does! I fixed it. You accidentily put four w's instead of three Breathesgelatin (wwww, not www). -- Cato Neimoidia 00:01, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
        • Perhaps the four w's were intentional; the site is secret afterall ;-) --Azizlight 05:35, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

            • Hello. Does that site still work? I can't read Russian but even so I cannot find links that lead to the actual comics... --Eyrezer 07:16, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
              • Wow!! I found them. That is an awesome secret. --Eyrezer 07:20, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Hapan StuffEdit

Just thought you might be interested in some scans I took for StarNeptune lately. :) They're a lot of random things to do with the Hapans from The Official Star Wars Fact Files and can be found here. The ones you might wanna look at are the BattleDragon, GunOfCommand, HapanIncident, HapesNova, Isolder, and MiyTil pictures. :) —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 05:24, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

French translationsEdit

Just because I'm on a major drive to get French translators again....I just thought I'd leave a note on your page to ask if you're still interested in translating any of them? I remember you saying that you were a bit too busy before, but would your schedule be any more free now? :) If so, I'd love to give you the link to the scans again. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 04:31, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Actually, this is a great time for me to get some translating done. I would love to do it. Just let me know. I think my email is listed on my page. If not just drop me an IM or something. - Breathesgelatin 15:02, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Good to see someone with the same SW interests on here. I loved the old SW and have read about 20 or 30 of the post ROTJ books. KOTOR got me interested in the ancient prequels, but I pretty much think the prequels Lucas made suck. More like Jedi Wars instead of Star Wars. Cheers!--PhilCarr 19:11, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

While browsing recentchanges i saw another user subbed in his own name into yours but left the time stamp the same.

Wedge Antilles Edit

  • Well, this is the first time I've been by your page. How is the work on Wedge Antilles coming? I'll continue to expand it as much as I can. On a separate note, that makes you a University of Texas student, doesn't it? Didn't your team win the college championship in American football last year? I cannot remember correctly. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 02:31, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
  • The Texas Longhorns are indeed the reigning college football champions! Hook 'em!! Also... I have been totally lax about updating Wedge's page. I will definitely get it done over the course of the next several days... I think his page is almost ready. Just needs the X-Wing comics stuff, which should be fairly easy for me to add. - Breathesgelatin 04:22, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
    • That sounds good to me- never read the comics. I'm technically on vacation right now. I hope this won't affect Wookieepedia (it really shouldn't) but I have this to say about your college: "Gig 'em Aggies." Not too sorry, but hey, you're still a great Wookieepedian. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 04:52, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Hey, is Wedge ready? I'm looking to get it to FA status, but I wasn't sure if the comics info had been added and I know how you haunt monitor the FA and IDrive lists. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 19:30, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Just wanted to tell you that you are incredibly beautiful. Now you can ignore this, delete this from this page, but anyway i hope it makes you just feel good :) MoffRebus 08:42, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

RE: I-Drive IssuesEdit

I'm not sure but it was probably me. I've been having a really, really, really rough time at home. The I-Drive seems to calm me down, but I think I've been overworking it. I think I'll take a break from the I-Drive for a while. Would you mind keeping an eye on it for me please? Thanks. SecondSight 11:13, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Aw. Be strong. I can definitely keep an eye on the I-Drive. - Breathesgelatin 15:45, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Shad JelavanEdit

Hi! Since you are familiar with the KOTOR comics, could you take a look at Shad Jelavan's article sometime? Some anons expanded it, which in itself is a good thing, but it sure could use a cleanup... I attempted to do some myself, but since I haven't read the comic in question, the text appeared pretty cryptic to me here and there. I'm currently going through the Jedi character category and trying to see to it that the article formatting and readability is at least satisfactory, so any help would be appreciated! :) --Tinwe 16:29, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

  • I have been noticing for a while that a lot of the major KOTOR edits are being done by anons who have some er... grammar issues. The more major characters have been cleaned up, but I am hoping to get around to fixing everyone else soon... I will try to get to Shad ASAP. Thanks for tagging it! - breathesgelatinTalk 23:49, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Fixed. - breathesgelatinTalk 07:14, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

FA nom- aka Luke aka Wormie Edit

  • Breathesgelatin, a lot of work has been done on Luke Skywalker since you posted your initial objections, so if you could review it and tell us (me) what else needs to be done for FA status, that would be wonderful! P.S. You should also sign the guest section on my page! Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 21:34, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

ID question Edit

How does one determine the number of votes needed by a certain date? - Angel Blue20px(Holonet) 21:50, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

  • An article must receive two votes per week to remain on the Improvement Drive. So every time it receives two votes, it get another week added to its heading. When that time runs out, it is removed. Did you ask this re: a specific nomination? - breathesgelatinTalk 21:56, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Well, I just nominated the article, and was wondering how many votes it needed. Would you double check to see if I put the right number? - Angel Blue20px(Holonet) 21:59, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Oh, I see! The way that each article should start off is with needing 2 votes within a week. Each article's nomination is independent of any other. I've gone on and fixed it. Does that make sense? - breathesgelatinTalk 22:08, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

French stuff Edit

As requested, I am bugging you to get it done. Kuralyov 05:04, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

  • LOL. I will try to do some ASAP... I am the worst. - breathesgelatinTalk 05:10, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
  • By the way, do you have any preferences for articles I should translate first? - breathesgelatinTalk 05:11, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I have no idea what articles are even in there, so I guess that'd be a 'no.' Kuralyov 05:12, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

QOTD anonymous votes Edit

  • Votes are never to be removed from QOTD. If you believe a vote to be anonymous, use the strikeout function. People have been banned for monkeying with other people's votes. Enochf 00:54, 25 October 2006 (UTC) Also note User 67.34.186.30 has a long posting history; I personally don't consider him anonymous
    • Well, he's an IP user, so his votes do not count. If you'll notice, as I'm going through, I have switched to striking out. But what I'm doing is not vandalism or "monkeying". - breathesgelatinTalk 00:55, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

FA talk page comment Edit

  • I agree with you- the procedure does need clarification. Now, what was that about if the original objector's comments had been addressed? <cough> <Luke> <cough>. Are there still problems with it? Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 14:24, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Oh, me. I just want to do a total read-through of Luke. I'll go start now, this very moment. Hopefully finish in 30 minutes or so. I want this to be perfecto and a very worthy FA, then I will vote for it! - breathesgelatinTalk 03:37, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
      • Nice work on Luke. Thanks for your help. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 16:49, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
        • Well, I'm afraid the latest objections to Luke Skywalker are defying my talents- I've found that I am better at writing in general as opposed to cleaning up other's work. And I'm not especially good at refining my own writing or Marvel Star Wars. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 04:44, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
          • Oh dear. I don't mean to be difficult, I really don't. The main thing, I think, is the Waru/Kueller and roundabout there issues. I'd be willing to overlook the Dark Nest thing; my issue there is that a lot of the information seems to be about Dark Nest generally and and also is covered in detail way out of proportion to some other of Luke's adventures. So yeah. If we can just clean up the Waru stuff, I'll overlook the Dark Nest stuff. I would say that rather than trying to clean up those areas, maybe you should just do a total rewrite... that might be a lot easier. Those sections of Luke's article are fairly new anyway; they've been written since he's been nominated and FAed and such. I also struggle to clean up bad writing, sometimes entirely new text is the way to go. That's what I did when Mara Jade was having issues similar to Luke's in her Dark Nest section. As for the Marvel Star Wars stuff, I really don't know--I don't have any of those sources. - breathesgelatinTalk 05:31, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
            • Hey, I understand that you want Luke to be the highest level of quality. I'll take a look at Waru/Kueller again, though I happen to hate both of those books. I might be able to work on Dark Nest. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 14:45, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
              • I condensed some of the Dark Nest stuff, but before I went too far with it, I wanted to get a second opinion before I condensed further DN and Swarm War sections. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 16:22, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

FAsEdit

I'm glad that you understand the parameters for an FA - namely, that they don't HAVE to be long. But I'm wondering, do you think I'd be pushing it if I submitted Sio Bibble to FA? .... 11:28, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Maybe a little bit. More because doing so might uh... antagonize some people. I think it definitely qualifies as at least a good article. - breathesgelatinTalk 05:05, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

If you did, I would have voted for you (not that it seems you needed more; you were already secure in winning I see). I know we haven't much interaction together, but from what discussions we had and the comments you leave at FA nominations, you are definately one of the editors I respect a lot. FAEdit

Several of my FA noms which you removed (Panaka, Rugor Nass), actually had their objections adressed, or the objections were void anyway. However, it seems that the users who were objecting lacked the decency to strike out their objections, or even revisit the pages to check that their objections had been adressed. .... 21:50, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Well, I'm not sure it's a matter of "decency". Perhaps a reminder on their talk pages to check out the nominations would have helped out. I've done that before... Anyway, we've got a hefty little queue of FAs right now... We have a lot of time to continue working on those articles. If there are some you're particularly interested in, I suggest waiting a few weeks and then renominating, being sure to make clear how you've addressed the former objections in your comments... I agree though that our FA process has become VERY sluggish and stilted and that people aren't participating... - breathesgelatinTalk 21:55, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Gunray FA Edit

The edit wars ceased a while ago, save for one double revert incident. And Silly Dan, who you "per"d has struck his objection. .... 21:20, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Featured Article QueueEdit

  • Hello. Sorry 'bout reverting your revert, but in terms of the Talon Karrde article at the least, I really think that the big image, while good for the article infobox, doesn't really work for the front page. As for the rest, Sparqman did some copyeditting on the other summaries, and I assume he plans to put it in the main articles. I think. Cheers. 03:35, QuentinGeorge 03:37, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Well, the image is supposed to be the one that's in the article, no? I mean I don't understand why you say it doesn't work for the front page. To me, the other image looks cartoonish. - breathesgelatinTalk 23:44, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

SignatureEdit

Hi Breathesgelatin, sorry to bother you. I just wanted to notify you that I finally closed the "Forum:Restrictions on custom user signatures" CT thread which means that we finally have a new signature policy. Unfortunately, it will require you to retool your sig. Please see: Forum:User sig policy. Thanks.–SentryTalk 05:35, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

FA nomsEdit

  • I think I addressed your objection on Luke Skywalker (one more time) and also, I think all the objections to Ysanne Isard have been addressed. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 18:31, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the heads-up. I will go check it out. It may also be time to move some of the stalled noms off the list... There seem to be a bunch where people keep voting and objecting but no one is making any effort to do the improvements. - breathesgelatinTalk 18:34, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
  • With regard to Good Articles and Featured Articles, I think FA trumps and so replaces the GA recognition. I changed the Drovian article to reflect that. --Eyrezer 22:53, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
    • That's sort of what I thought, unofficially, as well. - breathesgelatinTalk 19:01, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
