• I don't know of a specific reason why a link to the sandbox is not on the Main Page, but I will say this: The Main Page is as much if not more oriented towards visitors rather than editors. Most visitors are not going to use the sandbox- they're here to browse and search. I basically don't see a need to place it on there, but I'll ask some of the other admins what they think about it.
