Uploading
Edit
While all good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, we ask that you please refer to Wookieepedia:Images, which can be found under the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. Hey Cade1. My question is, why do you have the white lantern symbol as an avatar photo. Also, how did you get an avatar picture? I've been trying and the only way I've found out so far is the Facebook link, which I won't use. Any help would be appreciated. JediMaster22 21:48, March 6, 2012 (UTC)JediMaster22

Modfiying templates
Edit
Hi, please take note of the specifically bolded line on some template pages: "When making changes to the template, please do not modify the actual HTML code. Just modify the source code below and paste it over the old code." This makes it easier to change the template in future. Thanks, nayayen★talk 21:40, March 8, 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, on some (not all) template pages, there's usually a "Source" section at the bottom with said source code in a
pre-style box. When you want to make a change, edit that part first, then simply copy and paste it over the HTML code at the top of the edit page (up to the <noinclude> tag). It'll then automatically generate the HTML code as needed. It's mainly done because it's much easier to navigate the template-based source code rather than the actual HTML, especially if the template is particularly long. Hope that helps, nayayen★talk 02:01, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

Image quality
Edit
Hey. regarding your recent uploads of The Old Republic images, please be sure to turn up the quality settings in the game. It is especially noticeable on images such as File:Kariya.png that the anti-aliasing is set very low, or even entirely off. Generally not having decent anti-aliasing or higher quality textures will make more of a difference than a high resolution. Please bear this in mind in future, and adjust your game's settings as needed. Cheers, nayayen★talk 22:16, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
Edit summaries
Edit
Hey there! Just a reminder not to include spoilers in edit summaries, as you did when you moved the "Assault on the Jedi Temple" article. I haven't read Apocalypse yet, and the note you put about the second Assault and who led it was news to me. Our spoiler policy states that spoilers are spoilers for one month. Re:Ref Tags
Edit
Hey Cade! I'm not sure exactly what is the technical difference between the two (you could ask an administrator about that). I only know that it is a part of the Wookieepedia sourcing rules (Rule #8). Hope this helps. Imperators II(Talk) 14:02, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
Skirmish in the Loading Bay
Edit
Hey Cade, I have a couple questions for you. The first one is regarding the Skirmish in the Jedi Temple Loading Bay—mostly, I just want to hear your reasoning behind keeping it separate from the First assault on the New Jedi Temple. I thought they should be in the same article, because they take place between the same factions at the same place and at the same time. The Solos have a slightly different objective from the Jedi at large, but it's one that could easily be worked into the assault article (especially since, before trying to send Warv in, they meet up with the Jedi and GA forces); and the Sith in the skirmish have the same objective as the Sith as a whole do throughout.
In the same vein, I wanted to talk to you about possibly merging the First and Second assault on the Jedi Temple articles. My reasoning behind it is this: throughout the time that the Jedi attempt to get things ready for what you consider to be the second assault, the prose treats it as part of a single mission. The book talks about how the Jedi are worried that, if they don't get the shield generators down to let the Void Jumpers in, their assault—meaning the continuation of their first assault, which has been going on this entire time—will never succeed. It speaks of the Void Jumpers' arrival as part of a continuation of the first assault. What are your thoughts on these? Cheers, and keep up the good work writing. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 15:18, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, I'd also like to ask you about one link you added to the {{Lost Tribe of Sith resurgence}} template: Attack on Pinnacle Point. Do you mean to refer to the attack on Pinnacle Platform around page 317? If so, that skirmish was definitely part of the assault on the Jedi Temple, and not a separate battle. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 15:45, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
- When you put it that way, it makes sense to combine them - I was a little confused by the timing of the different sections of the book, and I thought that the battle in the loading bay took place after the assault. Same with the Pinnacle Platform thing - feel free to merge the articles, but the First Assault is still largely unfinished. Thanks for asking. 15:52, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Will do! No worries at all, and thanks for the quick reply. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 15:58, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
TOR Guild Meetup
Edit
Hey, Cade, just a reminder that we're going to meet tomorrow at 12 PM EST on the Wall of Light server to start up our Wookieepedia guilds (Republic and Empire). We'll start off with our Republic characters on Coruscant, where we'll form the guild and add any alts we may have. Then we'll switch over to our Empire characters to form the Empire guild on Dromund Kaas. We should also hash out rules for how or if we intend to recruit new players while we're all online together. Again, that's 12 PM EST on Coruscant. See you there! ~Savagelink=User talk:SavageBob 00:14, March 24, 2012 (UTC)
TOR images
Edit
Hey, just so you know, the TOR images you've uploaded recently are better suited to being saved as .jpg files as the number of colours and such makes a .png filesize obscenely large (I saw one that was nearly 4MB). Capturing from the source as .png is a good idea but, in future, just then save them as .jpgs with 90%-95% compression in something like Paint.NET (not MS Paint, that's crap) before uploading and that'll keep the quality high. Cheers, and keep up the good work with the screenshots, nayayen★talk 23:16, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

Mercy Kill
Edit
Could you please provide a source for the Plot Summary that I've already removed once? With the book not out until August, it's rather unlikely that that's the source. And without citation it's just conjecture–could be completely made-up, for all anyone knows. Hence why I removed it. – DigiFluid 15:58, March 30, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. I tossed a citation in. I'm sure it won't be necessary and will get axed once the book comes out, but for the moment I think it's a good idea to have a source. – DigiFluid 16:11, March 30, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Pius Dea work - Help!
Edit
Certainly, I just want to make sure I understand the situation correctly. Firstly, does all of the information currently in the 12,000 BBY page actually, canonically takes place exactly in 11,987 BBY? Or is it just that we now know that the Pius Dea crusades began a little after 12,000 BBY, meaning some of the info in the article is outdated? If it's just outdated, then that info can be removed/reworded to reflect the exact date that we've since been given for the crusades. Also, for 11,000 BBY: I take it we now know that the crusades ended in 10,966 BBY, but why not keep 11,000 BBY as the approximate date for the formation of the Republic rocket-jumpers? Do we also know that the rocket-jumpers were actually formed in 10,966 BBY? And I'm not quite sure I follow where the 11,987 BBY article fits into all of this: do we know of anything that definitely took place in that year? Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 02:44, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, but if the Pius Dea stuff all goes into the 11,987 BBY article, then what belongs in the 11,965 BBY article (and what exactly was the purpose of the original move of 11,987 to 11,965 BBY)? Also, how much of the events leading up to the crusades do we know actually took place in 11,987? For instance, do we know with certainty that Pers'lya's impeachment and Contispex's rise to power all happened in that same year, or do we literally only know that 11,987 BBY was the date of the beginning of the crusades? Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 03:04, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, sounds good. And just so you know, if a page has already been created, it needs to be deleted before you can move an article back onto it. Now, just to be certain that we're on the same page and I'm not going to go accidently screw something up: 11,965 needs to be deleted; no information regarding the Pius Dea affiar needs to be kept in 12,000 BBY at all; and the impeachment of Pers'lya and Contispex's rise to power both took place in 11,987 BBY, along with the beginning of the Pius Dea Crusades. If that's all correct, then I'll delete 11,965 BBY, and you'll be all good to continue work on the rest as you are. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 03:30, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
- Gotcha, glad I checked. Looks like you've got it all under control, then. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help. Cheers, :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 03:44, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

About Warfare
Edit
Hey Cade! Just wanted to know if maybe you've had some typos in the Warfare article. I guess the "Seige of Portus Vida" is meant to be "Siege of Porus Vida"? :) Also, "SIEge of Belasco". And the Seventh Battle of Ruusan is definitely not a part of the Hundred-Year Darkness, so the extra * should be removed. :) Hope this helps! :)

Redirects in articles
Edit
Hey Cade - I'm noticing that in several of your articles you link to other pages through redirects such as linking Sand People instead of Tusken Raider. We strive to avoid using redirects to link to articles, and generally pipelink instead, or use the correct, formal term. Of course, you can't tell if it's a redirect from looking at it because all the links are blue, right? Well, that's where this handy code comes in:
a.mw-redirect {color:darkorange}
Paste this into (or create) a .css file with that code in, and you'll see that the redirects are highlighted when you read articles. Now, the .css file is dependent on which skin you use. If you're using the default Wikia skin then its located at User:Cade Calrayn/wikia.css. If you're using monobook (which is Wookieepedia recommended skin) then replace "wikia" with "monobook". Add the code, hit save, then refresh the page. If you did it correctly, then the Sand People link above should now be orange. It's a handy tool. Hope that helps :) - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 13:05, April 12, 2012 (UTC)

Hero of Tython info
Edit
Hey, just so you know, I've updated the Coruscant Security Force article to include all operations that the Hero does on Coruscant. Specifically the second paragraph under Reclaiming Coruscant and the last three paragraphs under Battling Black Sun. They should help you flush out the Hero of Tython article's Coruscant section with more details and references. Hope it helps, cheers! Coruscantfan (Talk) 04:10, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

She sure is a rattataki plus TOR clearly presents the distinctions on the customization. Anyway I'm posting the article(I was already working on). Make the modifications you see fit but that ain't speculation nor guess. She is rattataki. Thank You. Winterz 02:08, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
- Damn, you are right, rattataki are way more white colored. Is it possible for you to change the replace in the tittle female human instead of rattaki(inside the brackets) ? Thanks.02:17, April 29, 2012 (UTC)Winterz
Alsakan Conflicts
Edit
Hello, Cade. Great work so far on the Wook. I wanted you to know that I went back through the chronology articles relevant to the first of the Alsakan Conflicts. I updated them to reflect everything that is included in Warfare regarding the end of the GMP. Pages 22 and 26 still show the dates of 17,000 BBY as the GMP/Indecta transition as were established as more-or-less hard dates in the NEC and Atlas. I've reverted the eras and 17,000 back in that regard, but the Alsakan Conflicts, as you properly altered, started 17,018 BBY. I've updated and (in some cases) outright rewrote parts of these so that they can retain their FA/GA status and let the appropriate INQ/ACs know that the articles are updated. If you have questions, let me know. Otherwise, keep up the good work. Cheers. — Fiolli; 23:20, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
- Good points. While I still disagree on some nuances based upon the wording, I'll go with what you have. I see what you're working with, and knowing how these things evolve, I believe you are assuredly correct for the Pius Dea and Ductavis. The wording found in the NEC and Atlas regarding the conflicts and those eras is weaker, but for consistency I think we'll go with the changes. I've reworked the articles again. For the record, none of my decisions (other than the one to come out of hiding to update the articles) were based upon FA/GA requirements. By the way, good luck on the WProject. Glad to see someone's already passionate about Warfare! Cheers. — Fiolli; 01:58, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
- No problem. Yes, get a copy of the NEC. It is actually quite nice for chronology (even as a starting point). I know a lot of dates have been refined over the years, which is what causes problems like these. Cheers. — Fiolli; 02:11, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
RE:Sig
Edit
I noticed it too. I am using wiki text in my sig. I asked Cal how to fix it, but he is using mono book and it does not show up there on the recent changes, so he did not know how to help. I've tried reducing px of the pic but the pic still appears on the recent changes page even if it is at 10px. 20px 501st dogma(talk) 01:19, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
