Mzerc image
Edit
Hey there. It looks like you forgot to get rid of the excess white space when uploading this image. It'll need a re-upload. Menkooroo 20:43, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
- And again with the Talz-like critter. Crop the damn things or don't bother uploading them at all. Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:31, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
Mutant Bith/Sullustan
Edit
Toprawa had reverted your move of the Unidentified alien bounty hunter (Tatooine), because his species cannot be determined from a vague representation in the picture. Since I scanned the image, I named it based on what the guy looked like he could be, and it was simply a file name. But, to rename the accompanying article and create a species page based on a file name is speculation, so Toprawa reverted the move and I removed the species article. I also removed any reference to the hunter's gender, as there was none indicated within the comic. For all we know, it may be female. Just because it looks male doesn't mean it actually is male. It could be one of those species that doesn't have much sexual dimorphism. We don't know for sure.
I appreciate the creation of the four-armed hunter's species page, though. When I get the chance, I'll scan in a better full-body shot for that article. Not sure what I'll name it, it could be anything. It could be "GreenSkullFacedDude" or something, or, like another image of a conjectural and vague depiction of a nameless background hunter, "GranWannabe." Though, I wouldn't advise making an article for "Unidentified Gran-like species," based on some file name. :P Trak Nar Ramble on 07:54, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
- I had altered the wording in this article and removed the references to Bith and Sullustan, as those were simply what I used in the image file name. Just because I used those species in the file name doesn't necessarily mean that they are correct. Take File:MonCalBountyHunter.jpg for example. He's actually a Herglic. I just haven't been arsed to move the file to a different name, yet. Trak Nar Ramble on 06:17, April 25, 2012 (UTC)

Categorization
Edit
Thanks for taking the time to give all these unknown species some articles! Though, while you are doing so, please remember to further categorize the articles. If they are clearly humanoids, categorize them as such. Same with obvious insectoids, reptillians, etc. I have further categorized a number of species for you. Also, if the species displays a certain quality, like a heavyset humanoid, it's okay to name the species "Unidentified heavyset humanoid" or "Unidentified funnel-eared species." Just avoid naming a species after another species due to a physical trait, but naming either after the character who is a member of that species, or naming after a defining quality (Like funnel-eared, heavyset, serpentine, etc) is just fine. :) Trak Nar Ramble on 04:00, May 2, 2012 (UTC)
Unidentified forehead-appendage species
Edit
It's a tiperoo. Just letting you know. :) Trak Nar Ramble on 00:56, May 12, 2012 (UTC)
Unidentified species articles
Edit
A word of advice: Don't just create species articles for every unidentified individual. In most cases, all the information can be presented in the individual's article. Grand Moff Tranner
(Comlink) 01:04, May 16, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm going to reiterate this notice: For an unidentified individual who could easily be a member of any Human or near-Human species, there is no need to create an "X's species" article. Grand Moff Tranner
(Comlink) 21:00, May 27, 2012 (UTC)
- Please consider Grand Moff Tranner's advice. If you have something constructive to add regarding the nature of unidentified species on this site, feel free to bring it up in Forum:SH:Conjectural species, an active discussion on this very topic. If not, please desist from adding more articles that are quite likely to be deleted in the near future. Thanks. jSarek 22:57, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
- Just tonight, a few of your articles had been redirected or deleted. Particularly Howzmin's species. The Shadows of the Empire Sourcebook flat-out says that he is Human. Before making any new conjectural species articles, please make sure that you know the source material well enough to determine if their species have indeed not been identified. Please refer to the discussion that jSarek linked to you above. We are currently trying to determine a policy for these articles. In the meantime, please stop creating them, as so far, several have been proved to either be misidentified or not even pertinent. Thanks. Trak Nar Ramble on 07:46, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

Blanking pages
Edit
Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia. However, please do not blank pages anymore. If you wish for an article to be deleted, please contact an admin, or place a {{Delete}} template on the page. Thank you for your cooperation.—Cal Jedi

Article prose
Edit
As a reminder, we do not use the word "thingamajig" within the context of an article, as it is not encyclopedic. Also, avoid categorizing articles with Category:In-universe articles and attempt to find a more appropriate category. Thanks. Trak Nar Ramble on 04:13, July 7, 2012 (UTC)
Species and planets
Edit
Hey Dante, I've noticed that you've been creating a lot of articles based off of what you would assume is the name of a species or people who lived on a certain planet. However, there's no verification that any of these articles are canonical. For instance, you got Rokarian from the term "Rokarian dirt-fish" and the existence of the planet Rokaria, but there has never been any indication that there are any "people" or sentient species on Rokaria. There might not be any life whatsoever except for the dirt fish. So most of these articles are conjuctural or fanon, and will be marked for deletion. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 17:52, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
- The only one that I don't see a {{Imo}} tag on is Verdian. Is that species/group specifically mentioned in the source? Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 17:56, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
- Same with Phelopean and Velanarian. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 17:57, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
Letaki
Edit
Hey, Dante! Can you tell me what page the planet Letaki is mentioned on in the Star Wars Trilogy Sourcebook - Special Edition? I'd like to be sure to update the Letaki species article appropriately with page numbers. Thanks! ~Savage

Sourcing
Edit
Hello, please source your article when you use the appendix. See this example (Ord Yndar) and please correct Old Barag. Hk 47 (talk) 22:52, October 18, 2012 (UTC)
Assumption
Edit
Hi Dante. Please don't assume rightaway that locations are necessarily planets. The entries in Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas rarely define what the locations are. Thanks. Stake black msg 02:17, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
Kellogg's alien
Edit
Hi Dante, please don't add incorrect/unsourced info to infoboxes. The transfer quality of the youtube video is so poor that it is impossible to tell what color his eyes really are. As to whether he has brown fur, once again this is unclear. The video is not clear enough to make this assumption and I'm of the opinion that he's wearing a fur coat. Until it can be confirmed it shouldn't be added to the infobox. Also the Calendar does not mention anything about his home planet. As mentioned in the BTS, we don't know if his species is native to the desert planet only that he lived there. Thanks. Rokkur Shen (talk) 02:48, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
Neologisms
Edit
Hi Dante. Please don't add neologisms to articles. Species denominations need to exist in an official source first. Stake black msg 14:01, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
Dethro Glok
Edit
Hey Dantescifi. I saw that you were the one who uploaded the picture of Dethro Glok some time ago. I wondered if you could upload other pictures from the same guidebook, those would come in handy. Regards. --LelalMekha (talk) 15:25, May 11, 2013 (UTC)
