Actually I have heard of it being inspired by the AntLion, though not officially, since George Lucas himself hasn't really said anything about it, except that the concept revolves around it being a pit-mouth-type-creature, so I wouldn't add the antlion thing to the article until George Lucas says it officially. • Well, if you can list the source you're talking about in the sarlacc article, than you can add the antlion info to it, but until you can, the best thing to do is to not list it until you can find the source, though it doesn't have to be a book source, it can be an online source as well.
