Your sig Edit

Dionne Jinn (Talk) Try this one out.—B-Boba Fett! He'll kill us all! Jaster's Feather.svg 23:02, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

Why? What do you mean? Try what?--Dionne Jinn (Valita täällä) 16:20, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
  • Because your sig currently links to redlinks. Create User:Dionne Jinn/sig and put [[User:Dionne Jinn|Dionne Jinn]] <small>[[User talk:Dionne Jinn|Talk]]</small> into it. Do something similar on your other wikia accounts (making sure the pages link to the correct one for that wiki) and then set your signature (in preferences) to Dionne Jinn Something to say? and it should show the signature properly. I see what I can do. I just hope I won't ruin my Finnish signature in the process.--Dionne Jinn (Valita täällä) 16:58, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Seems to be working just fine both in English and in Finnish. Thanks.--Dionne Jinn Something to say? 17:11, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

LeiaEdit

Cool! u live in Finland, I live in the U.S Eastern Time Zone (Alot of People don't know we have three time zones if they don't live in the U.S , Pacific, Central, & my time zone), do u have access to edit Leia's page, i don't and it's locked.--Princess Leia Organa Skywalker Solo 16:00, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Right now I'm living in England because of my studies in the University of Worcester, but Finland is my homecountry and I mostly contribute in Finnish to our Jedipedia. I don't seem to have any trouble accessing Leia's page. Is there something I might help you with?--Dionne Jinn Something to say?|My doings 19:02, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
Your signature can only have two links in it, per Wookieepedia:Signature policy. Pretty strict, but it's the law.—B-Boba Fett! Make the check out to "Boba Fett" Jaster's Feather.svg 21:29, November 19, 2009 (UTC)
Done. I was only copying my sig from Jedipedia where it's a habit to have three.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 21:36, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

SuuEdit

It was reverted because it's trivia. That kind of information shouldn't be in the article unless there's some kind of official reason for the coincidence. Any article that has that trivia without an official correlation is against guidelines. Also, "Sue" is a common English name. "Suu" is just as likely to be a StarWars-ised spelling of "Sue" as it is a reference to the word "mouth" in Finnish. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 19:39, February 28, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for info. I usually don't like to be reverted without a good reason/explanation so I asked for it and got it.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 19:42, February 28, 2010 (UTC)

Celchu Trial Edit

Hey Dionne Jinn. I was looking over your Celchu Trial nomination and at a quick glance, I noticed some issues that you should take care of before anyone starts an in-depth review. There are a number of problems with spelling, grammar and syntax. I understand that English isn't your native language so I would suggest you run the article through a spell-check and then ask someone for a copy-edit. I would recommend Master Jonathan as he is a good copy-editor and has polished up a few FAs in the past. If you have any other questions or need help, leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 00:02, March 1, 2010 (UTC)

I'll do that. Thanks for the tip. Since the article is actually a translation from Finnish article it has some grammar and other structural problems that follow the translation process (I'm well aware of that but having read it throug thousand times in both English and Finnish I'm becoming blind to my own mistakes). I write more fluently when I write English directly and don't try to translate into it.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 10:41, March 1, 2010 (UTC)
  • Olet eksynyt väärään wikiin =P In the meantime, you could ask Master Jonathan to copyedit your nom for spelling mistakes and comma usage. Cheers. --Xd 16:43, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Spelling Edit

We use American spelling. I know that some spell check programs do not distinguish between the two versions very well - for example some claim that whilst is another version of while. If you should come upon a situation like that, simply use the more "American" version, which is while. As for defense/defence, defense is the correct form. I would also suggest looking at our list of spellings. Some of the words listed there simply show the versions we prefer. I hope that this helped and let me know if you have other questions. Cylka-talk- 22:26, March 2, 2010 (UTC)

  • If you want, I can take a look at the article when you are ready. I teach English as a second language in Europe and so I have become very good at spotting the two variations of words. Cylka-talk- 22:38, March 2, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Celchu Trial Edit

Much better. I've stricken that objection and I'll give the article another review soon :). Jonjedigrandmaster Jedi symbol.svg (We seed the stars) 21:41, March 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • I usually prefer to answer on the other user's talk page—as I have stated at the top of my own talk page—because it automatically alerts them when I leave a message, and I don't have to worry about whether or not my page is on their watchlist. I don't see how me replying on my page will alert you any more conveniently or quickly, but I can do so if you wish. Jonjedigrandmaster Jedi symbol.svg (We seed the stars) 22:33, March 7, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Edit

I have a better solution for you. You can find a pdf of Galaxy Guide 3 here. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:30, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • You're welcome. Enjoy. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:36, March 21, 2010 (UTC)
    • Yes, I think you've got the right idea. It wouldn't hurt to expand on what you with a little more detail from the GG3 version of the story. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:20, March 22, 2010 (UTC)
      • Well, it's important to remember that just because something is on Wookieepedia doesn't mean it's right. It's very possible the Heliesk version is just incorrect. If you feel confident about what you've read from the sources and have translated into text in the Mutiny article, be bold and stick with what you think is right. Is your Mutiny version different from the Hobbie article? Toprawa and Ralltiir 19:18, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

Mutinyt check Edit

Finished. There was nothing too serious, so I'll say it's a pass now.--MayWitcher 17:43, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. Need to work on that infobox and find a good main picture and then I think I'm done with it. I think I'm missing more than one appearance but can't help it.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 18:12, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

Re: "Speculative answers" Edit

Let me take a look at the articles and see. But before you worry, when talking about the Wiki answers "speculative answers" I meant that someone had asked if Palpatine had a family; the answer was yes, but that he had probably been taken as a baby to be raised as a Sith. That was an extreme case. I have most of the sources so give me a couple of days and I can let you know if it looks like there is original research. Cylka-talk- 22:03, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

  • I've glanced at the sources and your article and I don't think you should worry about "original research." The reason that all of the articles differ is because the sources offer different view points. Just make sure that in the Bts of the article you are writing, you talk about these discrepancies and which viewpoint you chose to write about. Cylka-talk- 01:36, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

How do you archive?--74.99.26.163 17:56, April 10, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Re: Could you? Edit

Sure, I'll try to get to it as soon as I can. CC7567 (talk) 22:15, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

Caamas Document Edit

Heyo! That's a good question. I've always assumed that it's the Caamas Document. If it is, you're right about artistic liberties having been taken, 'cause it's totally a datacard in the story. I just can't for the life of me figure out what else Borsk would be holding that looks like a scroll and is important enough to be on the Specter of the Past cover. Plus I was stymied as to what other image I could use for that section of Garm's article. I showed the image to Havac, who's an admin, and he seemed OK with it. Menkooroo 13:33, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

Celchu FAN Edit

Hey Dionne Jinn. I'm sorry that it has taken me this long to get back to you. I will review your FAN within the next day or two. Please don't feel that you are being ignored on the FAN page or that it is personal. Unfortunately, the Inq is somewhat slow since the time and effort that needs to be put into making sure of the quality of the articles is a bit draining. Usually the process takes a couple of months, if not longer, especially for new nominators. I hope that this won't discourage you. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 20:19, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

  • Sure. I'll take a look at it a bit later on. That way we won't have any edit conflicts since I usually open up the editing window when reviewing an article in order to correct any minor things I find. Cylka-talk- 18:48, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
  • I've taken a quick look at the article and it reads much better now. The reordering has helped tremendously. If you think that you are going to work more on the article tonight, I'll continue with a thorough review a bit later. So far, so good! Cylka-talk- 19:04, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Celchu Trial, vol. 2 Edit

Hey Dionne, I'll give it another review in the next day or two :). Jonjedigrandmaster Jedi symbol.svg (We seed the stars) 22:26, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • Just letting you know, I haven't forgotten about your nom, but I'm going to wait until Cylka finishes her review before I start mine, to avoid any potentially conflicting objections. Jonjedigrandmaster Jedi symbol.svg (We seed the stars) 17:55, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Picture of Vaagari Edit

Check out

. I haven't added it to the article yet, but you can if you want.

Thanks. Maxattack was quicker so the picture was already there in the article. That's what you get when living on different time zones, I guess.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 07:09, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Re: No sign of Cylka Edit

Sure thing. I'm very busy with school work right now, but I'll try to get to the nom within the next couple of days. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 18:14, May 12, 2010 (UTC)

Reply Edit

Yes, I'm aware of it as well. The whole ShoutWiki server is down at the moment, any wiki around there doesn't work. The IRC server is down as well. But as far as I know, that's only temporaily and it should work after some time. --DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 18:31, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

  • Nice to hear, Jedipedia has been very silent lately. I can't say anything too surely, but yes, it should work well soon enough. Hopefully... --DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 18:42, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
    • Hopefully it will work shortly, as people have just gotten used to it that we aren't a Wikia wiki anymore, and because Wikia just sucks with its new skin and all. I wound't want to get back to Wikia anymore. 9_9 --DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 19:03, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

  • Yeah, hopefully… This is actually the second time ShoutWiki is down—it was down in late July as well, but yeah. Better than Wikia and its new look, though. 1358 (Talk) 19:13, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
    • About interwikis, well, they are still a little problem. Wikia hasn't agreed to change them to ShoutWiki, but at least the German Jedipedia changed its links. But surprise surprise, it isn't a Wikia wiki. But let's discuss more about them when Jedipedia is up again and we can go edit there. --DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 19:18, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
    • Monobook will stay, but Oasis will be mandatory for unregistered users. Also, the Terms of Use have been updated. We wouldn't be allowed to remove stupid features, including image attribution (eww) with css or js. 1358 (Talk) 19:20, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
      • Wikia doesn't listen to the community, that's why many wikis, including Jedipedia, simply moved away, and we aren't going back, hopefully. --DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 19:22, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

Huomasin itsekin äskettäin hieman hitautta ShoutWikin sivujen lataamisessa, mutta kyllä se sinne lopulta meni. Ei tietääkseni mitään vakavempaa. --DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 12:50, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Mora Edit

At a quick glance, the linking is pretty lacking. There are articles for the most obscure subjects, like parents on the Wook. :P So once you have gone through the linking, I'd gladly go through the rest. Cheers. 1358 (Talk) 21:11, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, firstly, I suggest you get someone to copy-edit the thing for linking and comma stuff. :) Here are my objections:

  • Sentient species should be capitalized.
    • Only one I usually don't, and that's humans. Fixed, at least mostly.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 22:14, December 25, 2010 (UTC)
      • This remains in the first quote. :P 1358 (Talk) 17:02, December 30, 2010 (UTC)
  • "Her parents supported the Galactic Republic which led to Imperial invasion of the planet when Mora was only a baby." Is there an article for this invasion?
    • I don't think so. There is really not that much info about it in the first place.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 22:14, December 25, 2010 (UTC)
      • Should there be one? If there is enough material for it, then go ahead and create it. :) 1358 (Talk) 17:02, December 30, 2010 (UTC)
  • Who are the H'drachi?
    • Tried to clarify a bit. Need more?--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 22:14, December 25, 2010 (UTC)
  • Overall, can you go through the text and contextify things that aren't obvious to the reader? 1358 (Talk) 21:58, December 25, 2010 (UTC)
    • Sorry it took a while to get back to you. 1358 (Talk) 17:02, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

Re: It being my speciality Edit

Hey, how's it going? I looked up Cloak of Deception, Outcast, and Inside Ep 1. From what what those sources say, the Justice Court building and the Galactic Courts of Justice Building are the same building. What I've done is make the Justice Court building a redirect for Galactic Courts of Justice Building for simplification. Also I've removed the image request because neither Inside Ep 1 or The Clone Wars Campaign Guide have an image. I'm not even sure why Campaign Guide is there since I couldn't find where it mentions the building so I removed that source. I also went ahead and sourced the article under a new History section. As a side note, Outcast also mentions the Ninth Hall of Justice. There is no article for it but it could have two possible meanings. Either it refers to a literal Ninth Hall (courtroom) inside the Justice building or it refers to a level of the court for example the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals. From the context I'm betting on that it means a courtroom not court level so I made a note of that in the article as well. Hope that helps! Coruscantfan 22:35, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
