Hmm... Edit

Hi, I don't think those links you're adding are needed as it's a see also section. Could you either take them out or persude me that they are needed, thanks - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 17:21, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Kingpin's right, they're not really needed. Thanks though. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Talk page) 17:25, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
    • Gah, you edit my talk page when I am typing a reply, now I have to do it over again!  :) Anyway...
Strictly speaking, no, they are not needed. However, I felt that they added some value for the sake of presentation. They make sure that the position of each link is the same on every page for the lightsaber forms. Without them, the positions change depending on which page you are on. For example, if you are on the page for for V, then the link for form VI is in the fifth line down, not the sixth. But if you are on the page for form VII, then the link for form VI is in the sixth line down. I felt that adding those lines as padding not only helped keep the positions of the links consistant from page to page, but also enhanced readability of those links. With those lines, people can see at a glance where they are in the "chain" of pages. It makes reading through them in order a little easier. - Fearless Son 17:36, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
  • I agree with that, but not for a see also section, it just doesn't seem right putting the page that you are on in the see also. - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 17:42, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
    • A thought occured to me since my last edit. What would you say to creating a template for the saberforms? Unless there is already a template for general lightsaber stuff, in which case it should already be in these pages and include forms. - Fearless Son 17:46, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
      • Sounds like a good idea to me, surprised nobodys thought of that before actually. I'm probaly not the best person to ask through since I don't know much about how the templates work (I just use them :D), still, sounds good to me - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 17:48, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
        • Alright then, I will experiment around with the templates. I may not have made many Wookiepedia edits, but I do have some experience editing Wikipedia and WoWWiki. I just need to get acclimated to this wiki's practices. - Fearless Son 17:51, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
        • Okay, I have finished creating a template for lightsabers. It is listed as "Template:Lightsaber". Feel free to edit it at your discression, and place it in lightsaber-related articles. (Removed lightsaber template because I do not need my User:Talk page in the lightsaber category.)
