Planet Infobox Edit

Rememer to type "yes" in the "hidea" "hidep" and "hides" fields of the Planet Infobox template if there's nothing in those sections. For example, on Cambria, you wrote it was in the Deep Core and its planetary coordinates in the Astrographical section, but nothing in the physical or societal sections. Without telling the template to hide them, the article had two section headers hanging off it.

Keep up the good work, it's a job that needs doing. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 21:46, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, that's quite good. Keep up the good work. Chack Jadson (Talk) 23:09, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

  • Eh, IMO, it's too minor for a WookieeProject. Just keep doing what you're doing and hopefully some people will notice and follow your lead. Chack Jadson (Talk) 13:56, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Oh boy. Well, to start with, it needs to conform to the Layout Guide. It also needs to be sourced. I'd recommend against taking this to GA (at least right now) because it's kind of a major planet and will be a lot of work. Chack Jadson (Talk) 23:32, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

  • I don't know, hit random article until you find a minor subject which you possess all the sources for. Chack Jadson (Talk) 23:37, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

Vote counts Edit

When voting on pages like the GAN, please remember to update the vote counts there, as it saves others the time and task of having to go through the nomination pages and update them themselves. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 05:52, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Haxim GAN Edit

Hey Gmalek. Since you have supported the article, would you be able to strike your objection on Wookieepedia:Good article nominations/Haxim? Just so there's no hold up once the article is ready to be archived :). Cheers, Grunny (talk) 06:04, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Sith magic Edit

Hey, Gmalek,

Actually, when it's all said and done, I hope to nominate the article for FAN. We'll see how it goes, and thanks for the support! Do you know of any instances of Sith magic? If you happen to come across any mentions of it in your travels, please let me know. Thanks again,Tommy 9281 11:39, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Re:My forum Edit

I agree. It's sad when I dread checking the forum at school for fear of kids and teachers seeing some of those comments. It shouldn't be like that. I should be able to go anywhere on this wiki without having to scroll down real fast so my dad doesn't see what so-and-so posted. Thanks anyway for the support. We may be few, but we're proud! Signature Edit

Your signature violates Wookieepedia's signature policy. Please make the proper corrections with all due haste. Thank you. Graestan(Talk) 22:19, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • There is nothing in your signature that violates policy. The name part is the standard default blue link color. You are not using superscript nesting. You have only one custom color. And you aren't even using an image in it. ~ JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 14:47, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Help? Edit

Hey. I followed the link on your page, and I was wondering if I could help out with anything. I've created a multutude of system articles, and I'm kinda work-less right now... =P BonslywizardTrade Federation(Send a transmission) 16:10, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

infoboxes Edit

Hey Gmalek. I just wanted to let you know that the best way to hide any sections in infoboxes is to type in 1, for example, hidep=1. If you have any questions, let me know. Cylka-talk- 16:50, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

  • I saw you putting in time and energy to fix up the planet articles and I was simply giving you a helpful hint as to what is the correct html format. There are some users who would like to see articles correctly written and not just looking correct. As to how much it matters, I suppose that depends on how much you care. Cylka-talk- 06:25, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

To make a TC thread, add {{tc}} to the top of the article you want deleted, then just follow the instructions given. But like I said, asking an admin would be far faster. I'm sure they'd understand. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 00:43, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Re: GA helpEdit

You're free to nominate any article of your choosing. Most nominators will rewrite an article before nomination, but that's not a rule. If you think it's good as it is, then go right ahead. However, before you nominate, you should check that it meets all the requirements. In addition, you should have the source materials at hand so that you can deal with any content-based objections. If you like, I can take a scan of the article, and tell you where it is in terms of quality. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 01:05, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

  • Uhmm... what's the article? SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is the truth) 01:09, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
    • Well, it's certainly an ambitious target. However, I can see that it can't be immediately nominated. It's missing references, for one. It could probably be expanded to over 1000 and therefore put up for Featured Article Status. It's not going to be easy, doing an article like Caamas. You'd need most of the things in the sources list that don't say "mentioned only". Do you have them? SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 01:16, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
      • I'd imagine not. The existing prose is quite good, but it's where the information came from that may be a problem. Properly sourcing articles is paramount to writing a status article. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 01:23, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
  • Maybe I could help you with that. Instead of looking for good pre-existing articles, ask yourself which sources you have available. Can you make a short list of the stuff you own? SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 01:27, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Re: WookieeProject Edit

You don't actually have to request one. You can just go ahead and create the project page, then add it to this list. That's really it. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 01:05, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

  • No, you can really just go ahead and create it. As long as you dont screw anything up majorly, the admins shouldn't delete it. =P Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 01:19, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
  • Hey Gmalek, just noticed that you started a subpage to create a WookieeProject for planets; but before you do so, I thought I'd let you know that we already have a project that covers all "celestial" bodies (ie. moons, planets, suns, asteroids etc) as well as sectors, hyperlanes, and regions. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 02:04, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
  • Yeah, as Jon said, WP:AST pretty much covers everything already. We haven't had much activity lately but you should join. I guess it's our fault for not putting in on the list. =P Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 02:07, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
    • Haha no problem. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 02:10, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
    • You certainly don't have to be an FA writer to contribute to the project. Maintenance of articles is most definitely within the project's scope. Any help is appreciated. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 02:14, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Tatooine Edit

You might want to read the guidelines at the top of this page. Basically, everything needs to be referenced. Every possible piece of information about Tatooine from every source to ever mention it needs to be added to the article. It's quite a daunting project, given that it's pretty much the most famous planet in Star Wars and it's been referenced almost everywhere. Right now, it's definitely not ready for a nomination. The article is long enough to be nominated as an FA by the way, you don't have to make it a GA first. The nomination process is virtually the same. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 03:52, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

  • Tython sounds like a great idea! The only thing is, it's going to be in the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic, so if you wanted to nominate it for FA/GA status it would probably breach FAN/GAN rule 5 (articles can't keep changing significantly after being nominated). TOR is going to add a ton about the planet, so I would wait until that game is out before nominating it. That doesn't mean you can't still work on the article. I encourage you to add information from everything other than TOR for right now, and then when the game comes out you can focus on that. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 04:07, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
    • It's not really a good idea though. If you know something is coming out that will significantly alter the article in the future, you shouldn't GA/FA it beforehand. I really advise against it. Also, the articles you've been talking about so far are all FA length, how come you just want to GA them? FAing an article is no different and no more difficult than GAing one. GAs are basically articles too short to be FAs (under 1000 words). Tython is definitely FA length. If you really want to GA something, just look for an article that is already short and has a fairly low number of sources to deal with. Keep in mind that bringing these articles to status takes a considerable amount of work. It's more than just doing a little bit of work and then nominating it. You must follow the rules on the GAN/FAN pages to the letter. Every piece of information outside of an article must sourced outside of the intro, the article has to be absolutely as comprehensive as possible, with no significant information missing, and it must follow our layout guides. All of this must be done BEFORE the article is nominated. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 04:18, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
      • Sure, anytime. And thanks for the cookie. =P Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 04:27, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Tfu2's messages Edit

dude can you had the thing about thx 1138 on tfu 2 please ,if you are intelligent you know i am right ,please

can you just add it for me please................... you know i'm right ,unless you are blind ,lol

Ok then i'll be as clear as possible ,in the force unleashed 2 page ,it says : The clearance code to dock on the Salvation is Talus Haroon 10-11-38. The two final numbers are 1138 which is a recurrent in-joke in subsequent George Lucas films and Lucasarts Games

Ok? well if you look closely ,Talus = T ,Haroon = H and 10 in roman is X =THX + 1138 ,makes sense? dont you think?

thanks dude , i didnt want to make shit in here , i just wanted to help but couldn't

sorry ,oh btw call me when you finished editing the page dude ,can i call you dude by the way?

since i do not insult you ,got it dude ,do you starwars-holonet? it's a french encyclopedia, i knowi shouldn't be talking about this ,lol.........

Darth Homizz Edit

Yeah i saw this article and almost burst out laughing. Who the hell is this guy. Its cut content from a Yoda story that never came to fruiton, so obviously these two fought. Was this a sith that yoda fought in the centuries preceding the prequel trilogy making count dooku the second time he fought a sith? 07:05, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

WotM Edit

Thank you for nominating me for Wookieepedian of the Month. Although I doubt I will win this month, the recognition is kind and welcoming. Thank you. Kilson(Let's have a chat) 00:08, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

Signature Edit

Your user signature, as you are currently employing it, is in violation of Wookieepedia's Signature policy, specifically regarding the provision regarding timestamps. RE: Help Edit

Hey Gmalek,

Sure, as long as you are capable of addressing whatever objections may arise. Also, if it is one recently worked on by a particular user, you may want to talk with them about their plans for the article. Otherwise, feel free. Hope this helps,—Tommy 9281 Thursday, May 5, 2011, 23:15 UTC

Re: Byss Edit

Actually, you could prolly get Byss to FAN, it's certainly long enough and there are scads of sources for it. However, if you do decide to work on it, it's gonna take a while. After spending a good chunk of a year working on both Gand and Zuckuss (and all I was doing with Zuckuss was clean-up, and it took five months!), I learned that everything, everything needs to be accounted for in those larger articles. It would certainly be a time-consuming project, but I wish you luck on it. Trak Nar Ramble on 00:41, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Bots Edit

I honestly have no clue. I usually do that tedious stuff myself, as if I knew how to make a bot, I'd be using one by now. Grunny may know, though. Trak Nar Ramble on 04:21, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

Re:QOTD Edit

It needs to get to +15 since it's been previously used. I'll go ahead and vote for it, then you'll need to find two more votes. :P JangFett (Talk) 20:58, June 3, 2011 (UTC)

List of Planets S Edits Edit

Hi Gmalek!

I have been at work on the List of planets S for a long time now, (obviously I took a brake if you look in the edit history) and I was wondering if I could help you with the major edit. See ya! :) :) --Ssi-Ruuk Warrior 04:03, February 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Hi again.

The list of planets t has alot of work to be done, so I will keep working on that page and then we can get it done twice as fast.  :D --Ssi-Ruuk Warrior (Leave a message on my comlink) 01:50, February 21, 2012 (UTC)
