The Salvation
Edit
I was thinking about adding a lot more information to the Salvation, a Rebel starship, since it has next to nothing at the moment. For starters, I thought about adding production information, technical specifications, etc. Since the ship is an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, could I just use certain information from that page on the Salvation? Since that is its class, I'm assuming that it would have the same specifications, or would that be going too far? If not, I could just skip the info box and add the information from TFU II in a history section. JRT2010 00:08, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
- Apart from basic information like the model and manufacturer, we generally don't make assumptions about technical information, as ships are often modified from their model's default specifications, especially ships used by the Rebellion. It's best to only work with information that is confirmed about that specific ship. Hope that helps. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 10:03, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
Inq meeting rescheduled
Edit
Inq meeting 39 has been rescheduled for this Saturday evening, January 15, at the same scheduled time, 7 PM EST for North Americans. The meeting was postponed this past weekend because no one bothered to show up. If you value your position in the Inq, we expect you to please make an effort to be in attendance. If you cannot attend the meeting, we still expect you to participate by leaving notes on the meeting page. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:29, January 10, 2011 (UTC)

Woopsie
Edit
Hey Grunny, I just wanted to say thank you for your guest contribution to WP:TOR with Tengrove. I know it was way back in November, but I honestly never noticed it up until just now. I didn't get the chance to thank you for the work then, but I guess it's better late than never! Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:02, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Help with Template:Title
Edit
Heya. I principally edit at the Doctor Who Wiki and am trying to implement italics in titles. I tried to adapt something from wikipeida, but Wikia.css didn't play nice. Then I tried to the title template here, and I just can't figure it out. I've created a test wiki to help me test css changes in a safe environment, and I've been lookin' at it for a week. I just don't get it. I note you made a substantial change to the template and to the common.css file here on the 17th January 2010 under the edit note of "1.1 Cleanup", and that you seem to have written the java, so I'm guessin' you must know a thing or two about how it works. So far, I've got the following:
- Obviously, the code from title is at w:c:tardistest:template:title.
- The one li'l reference to #title-meta in MediaWiki:Wikia.css is at w:c:tardistest:MediaWiki:Wikia.css
- The code at MediaWiki:Wikia.js that relates to the title change is at w:c:tardistest:MediaWiki:Wikia.js
Yet, when I place title on my page at w:c:tardistest:The Seeds of Death, I get no joy in either the Wikia or Monobook skins. It's still as unitalicised as ever. You seem really busy round here and wikia generally, but if you could take a look, I'd be really grateful. What am I missing? It's kinda makin' me batty. The only thing the template seems to be calling for that no .css file want to define is title-align, but I'm not sure that explains the lack of italicisation. czechout ☎ ✍ 10:38 Friday 25 May 2012
- (drive-by response because I'm bored) Title is no longer necessary to italicize titles. With the recent upgrade to MediaWiki 1.16, the DISPLAYTITLE magic word can now handle italics much better and without the need for any JS or CSS hacks. The format for that is
to italicize the whole title, or you can easily pick and choose which part(s) to italicize, such as. Master Jonathan 20px (Jedi Council Chambers) 23:54, January 31, 2011 (UTC)
- Well, regardless of what DISPLAYTITLE may or may not do, you have no idea how grateful I am to finally figure out what the heck I was missing. Thanks, Grunny, for your assistance. If I can impose on you for a little more very general advice — is there some place I can go for a guideline of what should go in common.css vs. wikia.css and monobook.css? The TARDIS wiki had virtually no css coding prior to about two weeks ago, when I started playing around with it. So, essentially, we're starting css usage post-oasis. I know on this wiki and memory alpha, there'e the notion of putting most everything into common.css and then importing into wikia. But I gather that's at least somewhat because you guys have been playing with css for years, and therefore already had stuff in common and monobook. Is there anything wrong with starting in wikia and importing wikia.css back into common and monobook? czechout ☎ ✍ 10:38 Friday 25 May 2012

Some assistance
Edit
Hey Grunny, I was wondering if you could use your mystic powahs to change all the links to Second Battle of Jabiim (Clone Wars) to simply Battle of Jabiim (Clone Wars)? After looking through a number of sources, it seems that "Battle of Jabiim" is the official name. Thanks much. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 02:40, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

Wikia tricks
Edit
Hi there, I'm an admin of the [matrix.wikia.com Matrix Wiki] and have noticed a couple of tricks here on Wookieepedia that I can't replicate on other wikis.
The main one is the Show/Hide collapsible links that I've spotted on some of your infoboxes: this would be really useful in similar context and also for sections of some of our (too long) credits pages.
The other one I just noticed on your user page: using Template:USERNAME to include the name of the person viewing the page.
So my question is what would I have to do to add these to the Matrix Wiki?
Cheers! --xensyriaT 17:42, March 2, 2011 (UTC)
Image Upload
Edit
Hi, I'm the founder of the Redwall Wiki. I was just curious as to how you made it so that when someone clicks the "Add an image" button, they are redirected to Special:Upload, instead of the popup dialog box. -- LordTBT Talk! 17:16, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

About css again
Edit
Hi, apparently #title-shortcut part in the MediaWiki:Common.css should be moved to MediaWiki:Wikia.css as it causes doubled box with Monobook. I should have tested it a bit more, sorry about that. (: –Tm_T (Talk) 22:02, March 25, 2011 (UTC)
IRC
Edit
Hey Grunny, long time no see. You are obviously aware of the upcoming Mofference, and I was hoping to attend, but I am still banned on the IRC. I was originally banned by Graestan two years ago, and I asked him to unban me a few days ago so I could attend the Mofference, but he left the site before replying to my request. Is it possible you could unban me from the IRC? I can understand if you don't want to get innvolved, but I really want to attend the meeting. Kilson 00:22, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Kilson. Sure, I'll unban you on IRC, but I can't be sure which ban is matching your account. If you come on IRC while I'm online and PM me, I can remove the ban (assuming one is still in place). Just make sure not to get in any trouble ;-). Cheers, Grunny (talk) 07:56, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
- What times are you generally on? Also, it has been awhile since I was on the IRC, what's the personal message command? Kilson 19:24, March 27, 2011 (UTC)

Disabling the new article / file popup
Edit
Hey there, it's been a while! (we chatted a bit on the Firefly wiki some time ago, if you forgot)
I noticed that the popup leading to Special:Upload and Special:CreatePage is disabled on Wookieepedia. I guess you provided the code? Could you tell me how to achieve this? I really need users to notice the need to use Template:Information at Combine OverWiki. Thanks for your help. ;) Klow 13:25, March 28, 2011 (UTC)
- The create page popup was disabled by Wikia staff as it is not suited to this wiki and we already have some preload options in our edittools. So you can use Special:Contact to request them to turn that off. The upload pop-up was disabled with JS one of our admins added here. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 14:03, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

- That looks more likely caused by the imagelinks function you added to your Common.js, which might be a ToU violation with the feature policy. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 07:48, March 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Well apparently not. After disabling the imagelink code, that still doesn't work... Klow 18:54, March 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, found what's going on. The left click is working, it is bringing up the lightbox. However, you're hiding the lightbox with CSS here. So if you remove the line
#lightbox, .blackout {display:none !important;}, you'll see the lightbox appear when you click. So, the image pop-up is working, it's just being hidden. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 13:46, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

Quote of the Day
Edit
I wanted to implement the Quote of the Day feature in the Matri Wiki. I asked Riffsyphon about this and he referred me to you. He has already shown me the template here and I didn't understand it. Could you please help?
Thanks in Advance.
--Nisheeth (Leave message)-- 09:11, April 18, 2011 (UTC)
- If I may butt in, it's rather simple "have a quote page for every single date, and then use the date as dynamic part of the transclude". To explain every piece of QOTD, each of these are placeholders for the current day, month and a year respectively. <div style="text-align: right;" class="noprint">Archive</div> is simply a link to be added for qotd archives. And then, for example the qotd of today is then located in Wookieepedia:Quote of the Day/18 April 2011. Hopefully this explains it well enough. (: –Tm_T (Talk) 09:32, April 18, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah. the explanation was good. But The Matrix Wiki doesn't have that many users or quotes that a new quote be implied every day. Is there a way to use the quote of the da feature that will pick up any one quote from the archives?--Nisheeth (Leave message)-- 09:37, April 18, 2011 (UTC)
- You mean random? Then see for example how our random Good articles work, but then ofcourse it won't be "Quote of the Day" anymore. (: –Tm_T (Talk) 09:56, April 18, 2011 (UTC)
- Well yeah. That will be much better. Thanks a lot.--Nisheeth (Leave message)-- 09:59, April 18, 2011 (UTC)

"Notable practitioners" of Force powers
Edit
Hey Grunny! Since you were the one who successfully nominated Force speed to GA status, could you please explain what were your criteria of notability for addition of its users to the "Notable practitioners" field in the infobox? And what are such criteria in general? I mean, I realize the infobox can't (and shouldn't) have a comprehensive list, but if Thaum Rystra is listed and Galen Marek is left out... Could you please enlighten me? Imperators II(Talk) 00:12, April 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, Imperators. While writing it, I only put main characters of fairly significant storylines, but others have added to it since then. I'll go through and reassess the notable practitioners list :). Cheers, Grunny (talk) 01:33, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
Pilot chatter
Edit
Hey there, Grunny,
I know that you have a mountain of Legacy characters to update, but just a heads-up that Jae Akura was mentioned in Legacy: War 4 on page 8. On that note, I was wondering if you could help me out with something. In that issue, the starfighters of Storm, Crasher, and Cannon all appear, and Crasher comms Gunner to say "Storm and Cannon have to withdraw!" I was wondering if you had any words of advice on how to treat those characters' "Appearances" sections. Would it be a (Mentioned only) for Storm and Cannon and a (Voice only) for Crasher? Or would something else be in order, since they "appear" inside their starships? Any wisdom would be awesome. Thanks! Menkooroo 04:56, May 1, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, I missed that. (I really have to get to work on these updates :P) I treated it as an appearance if I could tell that their starship appeared, like if a speech bubble of them talking came from one of the fighters. So in Legacy—War 4, I can't tell if Storm's fighter is in any of the frames for certain, so I used Mo. Not sure if this is the best approach, but it's how I've been doing it :P. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 00:02, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
- That sounds good. Thanks for the insight. :) Another quick note that, unfortunately, only increases your workload: Thanks to an image upload by Cato Neimoidia, I just realized that Sayar Dun'la is in Issue 25 of Legacy, meaning that the beginning of his bio'll have to be updated to discuss his presence when the Mynock and the IK's arrived at the temple. Sorry! :P Menkooroo 13:14, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

Unable to Upload Images
Edit
Hello, Grunny! I don't know if I've met you before, so my name is Cato Neimoidia. I've been editing Wookieepedia on and off for five-six years now. Anyways, my recent projects have revolved around Star Wars: Legacy and Star Wars: Legacy—War. A lot of these articles are a little behind and need to be updated, especially seeing how the series is comming to an end in the next issue. However, recently i've been unable to upload images. The site thinks i'm spamming the site or something.
The last time I had a major editing phase, I greatly expanded a number of articles, such as Deliah Blue and Jariah Syn. To go with the text, I used a tool (the "Add Image") on the right side of the new skin (that has seemingly been taken down/linked to the normal form) that allowed me to upload many images quickly. They would initially been unsourced and everything, but I quickly sourced them using copy/paste and editing. I found this faster to be faster than using the normal Special:Upload. However, now I cannot add images using that tool. Instead I get one of two messages:

- Hi. It's because you don't have an email confirmed in your preferences. In response to upload abuse, requiring a user to be emailconfirmed was an extra check that was put in place. So if you put an email in your preferences (a good idea anyway :-)) and confirm it, you should be able to upload. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 23:08, May 9, 2011 (UTC)

Star Wars Roleplay Wiki
Edit
Hello, Grunny.
Before I start, I would like to tell you that when I created my account, I did not realie I could use the same account for the many different Wikias. I am Anti-Umbridge league on all other wikias, so it might take me some time to get back to you.
I am a user on the Star Wars Roleplay Wiki, which has not got enough users and needs to expand. The wiki allows you to create your own character and then roleplay them by opening shops, flying starships, becoming Jedi etc.
We were wondering whether it would be possible a link on the main page of Wookiepedia, so Star Wars Fans can go to the Star Wars Roleplay Wiki as well.
Thanks

Imperial Commandos
Edit
Hey, I noticed that the pages for the Republic Commandos (the ones with designations that we know of) still go by their Republic designations, despite being renamed Imperial Commandos (IC). For example, RC-1138 (Boss) should now technically be IC-1138, since he and the other two remaining members of Delta Squad went on to serve the Empire as Imperial Commandos of the 501st Legion. Obviously Sev's designation would not be changed since he went missing just before the Empire was created; the commandos that deserted wouldn't have IC-designations either. But for those that remained like Delta Squad, shouldn't their pages be moved to reflect their Imperial designations? I was thinking of doing that, but I wanted to check with an administrator first.JRT2010 10:24, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

Help with a template
Edit
Hi Grunny, it's Jayden from the Harry Potter Wiki. I seem to remeber that you're quite savvy when it comes to technical editing and template creation? If so I could really use your help. I've just been made admin on the True Blood Wiki and I would like to create a template, which, when added to an infobox will randomly select a main image from a specific list of files whenever the page is loaded. I've seen this done on another (non wikia) wiki, and have tried copying their code, but it doesn't work. I'm not sure if you know how this is done, or if you even know what I'm talking about, but if you do your help would really be appreciated. Thanks. Jayden Matthews 11:03, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Jayden. Sure, I can help you out, can you link me to the template you're using? Cheers, Grunny (talk) 12:35, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
- And just in case this can help straight away, I believe what you might be looking for is
<choose>and<option>. So for example:
<choose> <option>Picture one here</option> <option>Picture two here</option> <option>etc.</option> </choose>
- Take a look at our random GA page which is included on the main page for an example. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 12:44, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
- It works! Thank you so much, I've been tearing my hair out over this. I really appreciate your help. Thanks again. Jayden Matthews 17:02, June 30, 2011 (UTC)

HTML help
Edit
Hi Grunny! I would like to ask you to help me revamp my signature. I managed to get to this level:
<font face="Book Antiqua" color="grey">TK999—[Discuss]</font>
However, I realized that the <font> tag is deprecated, so I switched to <span>. The problem is that the effect of "span" ends when it runs into wikilink brackets, so formatting the signature to make it look like the aforementioned version would mean unnecessary coding. Is there a way to describe the formatting at its first mention and then use a shorter variant in all subsequent places? If I had to type <span id="whatever" /> (which doesn't work) or something along this line, that would be perfect. Any help would be appreciated! Cheers,—TK-999 20px(Rise of the Empire) 17:12, July 4, 2011 (UTC)
- Not really, defining a rule would require CSS, which we obviously don't add to the site for user signatures. The correct way to make it look exactly the same would be this:
<span style="font-family: Book Antiqua; color: grey;"><span style="color: grey">TK999</span>—[Discuss]</span>
Proxies
Edit
Hi Grunny! I recently joined the Admin Tools Wiki and have some problems with determining proxies. Do you know of any method to use the results obtained by the Wikipedia:Wikipedia:WikiProject on open proxies and associated pages or any other way to recognize proxy IPs? Thanks in advance.TK999—[Discuss] 12:09, July 10, 2011 (UTC)
NewsNet twitter
Edit
Hey Grunny; I've gone ahead and set up the Twitter account, and posted it over on the NewsNet as well. We're at @WookieeNewsNet due to naming issues. I've followed all our official friends that I can find, plus some major official and fan feeds. I'll be adding more over the coming days. Anyone on the project who wants the password is free to have it, or I'll keep updating myself. I'm aiming for daily tweets regarding QotDs and FAs, semi-regular ones for DYKs, as well as updates that are posted to the NewsNet. - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 14:56, July 14, 2011 (UTC)
- Great, I'll grab the password off you later so I can update for any stories we post when I'm around :-). Cheers, Grunny (talk) 23:44, July 14, 2011 (UTC)
- I'll respond here to keep conversation in one place: I think we could set twitter to aggregate the newsnet directly, or set some bot to do it, thus reducing the need of manual updates. What do you guys think of that? –Tm_T (Talk) 06:47, July 15, 2011 (UTC)
- I'm already following and updated the Facebook fan page about the news. Hopefully that will spur more interest. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:43, July 15, 2011 (UTC)
- Keeping the conversation together. Grunny, I'll send it to you when you want. We might need a little more advertising. Will a main page link need a CT? Also, maybe throw it up on the site notice? Tm_T, news aggregation will probably be a good idea. If we can tweet links to FAs/ QotDs on a daily basis, that would be good as well. Riffs; thanks for that! I was wondering who to talk to on that front :) - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 09:49, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

@Tm T: That sounds great :).
@Cavalier One: A main page link may not require a CT but an SH forum to just make sure no one has an issue with it might be a good idea. We could also add it to the main page as a small feed, similar to how the NewsNet section displays two stories. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 10:29, July 15, 2011 (UTC)
- Should the (now old ?) Revamp of the Main Page discussion be used or entirely new opened? –Tm_T (Talk) 10:54, July 15, 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sure the old one will do since it's all related (though we should actually get some things settled on a main page redesign :P) :). Grunny (talk) 10:56, July 15, 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, missed the replies ... I set up a new SH thread here to inform the user base. - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 17:20, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

Dialoguetrans
Edit
My apologies. None of the quotes displayed properly after the templates were deleted, and QOTDs use the Speaker: format, not the incorrect format they were "fixed" to. I was just about to nominate a Jabba quote that would also not display properly without the templates. Per CT, I will no longer nominate translated quotes or permit them to be QOTD. Enochf 01:36, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
- Holy bugger.... well, why weren't they replaced properly after the CT? OK, that's a big relief. Didn't know Template:Dialogue was that versatile. I'll hunt and replace then. thx (relaxes) Enochf 01:41, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Template coding issue
Edit
Hey Grunny. I'm trying to rework the meeting time infobox to be easier to use by auto-calculating all times from a single specified time in either UTC or U.S. Eastern Time, as well as displaying the proper time zones in the proper places based on daylight saving time rules. It's the second part of this that I've run into a snag on. Take a look at the template and the test page. Under the "UTC" header on the test page, you'll see that it's throwing me an "expression error". I have analyzed the code for a half hour, and despite usually being able to figure out templates, I cannot find the source of this error. I've checked the syntax multiple times, and it appears to be correct, yet I'm still getting the error. The error only occurs when |UTC= is specified without |ET=; if |ET= is specified, no error is produced regardless of whether |UTC= is specified or not (this makes sense since the template first tries to calculate the time zone based on the ET parameter, and goes to UTC only if ET is not specified). I've given up on trying to find the error; can you track it down? If so, I would greatly appreciate it. Feel free to edit either page directly to run tests if needed. Hello Grunny, you reverted somehow my links to the German Jedipedia. I saw, you have a special box for it, but in that box, you were referring to a fork of the Jedipedia. - Hi. The wiki voted to use that template rather than normal interwiki links and the community decides through votes which wiki to put the links to, not any one administrator. You can find the vote on the template here. Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 00:10, August 26, 2011 (UTC)
JS Inquisitor is j00!
Edit
G'day - your name came up as a sanity checker for the JS in Forum:SH:Making_a_better_"Timeline_of_media" - could you take a look when you get a chance? Specifically, I'd be looking for a) insight into why it's not working on Monobook [but it is in Wikia and in Firebug], b) approval or denial for eventual integration into MediaWiki:Common.js and c) a way to merge down all the User:Morbus Iff/monobook.js code into single for loop + function to save code duplication. --Morbus Iff 21:45, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. My responses: a) I see you got it working in monobook. b) Sure, if the forum results in people deciding this is how we want to format the timelines we can certainly add it. c) User:Grunny/mediatimeline.js should do the trick. Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 01:04, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

Changing user names
Edit
Hi Grunny!
I was wondering, is there a way that I can change my user name which is 501st Sniper?
--501st Sniper 00:28, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
- Hi 501st Sniper. You can request to have your username changed through Special:Contact. This process cannot be reversed, and once we change your username, we cannot change it again. I'd suggest reading this article: http://help.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Changing_your_username and that you double check that the username you want is not already in use and is spelled correctly when making the request. If you are not worried about keeping the edits you have made so far, you can simply create a new account and redirect your current user page to your new one (just make sure not to edit under both accounts!). I hope that helps :). Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 09:23, September 14, 2011 (UTC)

Wedge Antilles redlinks
Edit
Hey, Grunny. I'm in the process of trying to save the Wedge Antilles FAN, and right now the biggest problem with it (other than a needed update) is the large number of redlinks. I've compiled a list of the current redlinks here; as you can see, there are some sources, namely games and comics, that I am unlikely to be able to gain access to myself. Your collection lists some of these sources. Would you be willing to help out in creating articles to fill in those which I've labeled with your username? If so, I would greatly appreciate it. This nomination has come too far and is too close to passing to allow it to fail now. I've also pinged Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith for his help as well, both to spread the workload a bit and because he appears to have a source you don't. Thanks in advance for the help. :) Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Thursday, October 20, 2011, 00:02 UTC

- Hi Lu'ika, you can have the userboxes inside infobox by placing them inside the infobox template, for example in your case (as you're using Character infobox instead of User infobox) between the

Hello,
So I am looking at the Alter Friction page and I see that there seems to be some sort of writing but then it was deleted. I was wondering if I could get a look at that archived writing to help me prepare to write it again? Alter Friction is used in the EU so I feel it is deserving of a page (Especially since there is a lot more evidence of its use then many other force powers that are allowed to be kept on the site). I am only posting on your talk page since you were the one to remove it. Any idea on the abilities to get this or is it lost to the admin vault?

Image uploads
Edit
Hi, Grunny. Jayden here. I'm having some trouble uploading an image, I was wondering if you could help me? I've filled out the form correctly, but when I hit the upload button it causes the page to break drastically. A load of red colored coding appears all over the screen, along with a warning saying I either haven't reached the required edit threshold, or I don't have a confirmed e-mail registered to my account. The latter I do have, so could you please tell me how many edits I need? I've uploaded images in the past without issue, and there is no mention of a threshold on the upload form itself, or on Wookieepedia's policy page about image uploads. Thanks. - Hi Jayden. It requires you to be emailconfirmed. Though you have set an email in your preferences, you haven't confirmed it. This requires going to Special:Preferences and there will be an option in your Email options section to send a confirmation link to you email, or something similar. When you get the email, click the link to confirm the email address is yours, then you should be able to upload. You can check that you're not emailconfirmed by going to Special:EmailUser/Jayden Matthews and seeing the error "This user has not specified a valid e-mail address." I hope that helps, and let me know if you have issues with this. Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 15:40, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, that explains it. I just thought it seemed a bit odd the way this coding was scrawled all over the place. Thanks for your help. Jayden Matthews 15:53, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
Hello
Edit
Hello Mr Grunny sir,
I am new here, and I just want to help make this wiki a great place. Not that it isn't a great place, but I want to help make it better.
Do you have a list of rules/policies I can look at? Also, if I will probably make a mistake sometime in the future, so I apologize in advance. --I'm living for my dying wish. 17:24, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
- <driveby> See Category:Policies on Wookieepedia for a list. I recommend you take a look at the signature policy and adjust your signature accordingly. ;-) Cheers, and apologies for intruding, Grunny. ^.^ 1358 (Talk) 17:27, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
AJAX is broken
Edit
What the header says. AJAX is not working for me on either recent changes or my watchlist. I don't even get the checkbox at the top of the page to enable/disable it. Can you fix it, please? :) Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 17:57 UTC
- It's not broken for me. It's Wednesday, a.k.a. wikia code rollout day, which means you are probably getting some kind of caching issue. See Grunny's comment here. 1358 (Talk) 18:00, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Ah. I hadn't looked at the SH yet when I posted that. I've posted it in the appropriate SH thread now. That said, bypassing my cache isn't helping. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 18:06 UTC
- It's not just your browser cache that can be the issue, you can keep being served an old or broken version (or nothing at all) while things rebuild after a code release. Let me know if this is still affecting you and I'll look into it further. Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 21:58, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
- After walking away from the site for a few hours, it's now working. Thanks anyway. :) Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 23:42 UTC

Test subjects
Edit
Hey Grundawg,
Who do I contact to become a permanent TOR tester? I left a message on Imp's page, but have yet to receive a response. Thanks,—Tommy 9281 Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 23:46 UTC
- Imp's the person to go through. Unfortunately, he responded to you here that no more permanent testers are being accepted :(. Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 23:49, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
Policies Template
Edit
Hi Grunny, Do you mind if I borrow the Policies template for my Wiki? Thanks, Sam201120px 14:05, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, you can usually freely copy templates between wikis. Unlike article content, people aren't generally too bothered if wikis reuse their templates, and as it is licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0 you can copy it with attribution (though that may not be necessary for templates). :) Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 14:08, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
- Would you like me to give attribution? Sam201120px 14:10, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
- For templates, I personally don't think that's particularly necessary. It's okay to just put in the edit summary something like "based off template at Wookieepedia" when saving the page (note, this is only for templates, if you copy any articles, you should give attribution). So, up to you. Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 14:14, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
