MergingEdit

Merging is done when the articles are about the same thing. Kindly do not merge the E-STAP's with the Vulture droid, as each model is completely seperate and also looks different. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 19:02, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

According to the E-STAP Droid Starbomber page, the craft in question is a variant of the Vulture-class starfighter that does look like its progenitor. Since there isn't any definitive proof of difference in look or specifications, beyond the base model, it makes sense to delineate the E-STAPs as variants within the parent page. They've been given their own indexed entries within the page. -- Hawke / Rtufo 19:14, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
The "proof" would be the look of them in Galactic Battlegrounds. I'll put up pictures of each type on their respective pages later tonight. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 19:18, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm basing my actions off of what (properly) occurred with the Low_Altitude_Assault_Transport pages. There are three additional variants of this spaceframe, with two of them in particular looking quite different than their parent, but still lumped within the descriptor for the base model. -- Hawke / Rtufo 19:27, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
    • If it's just a small variant without much information of their own to warrant anything other than a stub, I'd have to agree to put it on one main page and just have the various variants in indexes. Kind of like what I did to the Imperial Security Bureau and COMPNOR pages - lumped all the subdivions in one page. :P --Danik Kreldin 19:32, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
      • I'd be okay with putting the other varients of the Droid starfighter on the Vulture droid pages, but the bombers are specifically identified as E-STAP's, not as Vulture's. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 19:37, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
      • Understood, but if those screen caps of the E-STAP look anything like the Vulture, then we've got to figure out a compromise. Too many liberties are already taken regarding ships, craft, technology, etc. on the part of the video games. There are items, such as the Vulture, that are either adjusted, altered, or "improved" (base, shielded, advanced? What the heck?) just for the sake of gameplay, and really shouldn't be grounds for canon-icity. But that's opening a whole landmine of worms. -- Hawke / Rtufo 19:50, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
