[edit] Misspellings page
Just out of interest, what does the number in
- Krül - 28 (Kaox Krul) mean? Vetinari(Appointment) 20:42, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- The number is how many pages come up in the search function in a search for 'krul'. The bit in brackets indicates whether there's a similar word or name which is responsible for a high number of results. -- I need a name (Complain here) 20:47, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Darth
Hi I want to ask you why did you undo my edition on the "Darth" page. We allready agree that Haazens affiliation is also Sith and he himself took name of Darth Hayze so why do you think that he should not be put in the list? It makes him the first KNOWN Darth, Of course we know that he was not the first but i think you understand me.--ScorpiO 05:55, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
- Except he didn't take the name of Darth Hayze. He said that if he was to take a Sith name, it would be Darth Hayze, not that he was taking a Sith name. -- I need a name (Complain here) 12:26, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ok but he did not proclaimed himself a Sith either and still he is listed as one on his page. --ScorpiO 13:36, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Advanced Project ship
All I did was accidentally move a falsely named article to another wrong name, before I got it right. Why did you revert all of that? VT-16 19:57, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
- Because you somehow managed to turn the proper article into a redirect and copied and pasted it to a new page name, which is not the correct way to move pages. -- I need a name (Complain here) 20:00, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
- No, I'm pretty sure I moved them directly. Problem is, something happened when I tried to redo it into its final name, so the correct article redirected to the previous, incorrect one. The correct article is Advanced Project ship, which is the name in the book Rogue Planet. VT-16 20:43, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Moving pages
This is Admiral jolyon, do you copy I need a name. I've come to apologise for copying and pasting articles to a new name. You said 'there's a button at the top for moving pages properly' but I don't know which button it is. —Unsigned comment by Admiral jolyon (talk • contribs).
- It should be the one which says "move" on it, similar to "edit" and "history". Alternatively there's Special:Movepage/Name, where you replace "Name" with the article's current title, but that's a needlessly complex way of doing it. -- I need a name (Complain here) 16:51, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Apology and discussion about the events at the Blair Cluster and Goff Platform
This Admiral jolyon to I need a name. I wish to apologise for my attempt to move title of a battle to what I would believe is the appropriate title. I understand that you are now attempting to delete the following articles article I put in: Battle of Blair Cluster and First Battle of Goff. I wish to disagree about this course of action and discuss what should be done for the benefit of wookiepedia. I also believe that we will need to speak to the User: Karohalva, would you please? Thank you. —Unsigned comment by Admiral jolyon (talk • contribs).
- The reason I want them deleted is so that the original articles (Seize Airam Supply Platform at Goff and Take Prisoners Near Blair Cluster) can be moved to the new names properly, retaining the edit history in the process. -- I need a name (Complain here) 17:01, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- I roger that. I was trying to give them the appropriate names myself. I don't suppose you can teach me what you're doing so that I can do so in future refereces? —Unsigned comment by Admiral jolyon (talk • contribs)..
[edit] Article problems
This is Admiral jolyon, again. Sorry to bother you, but I need to make sure about something, do we name a group of ships into each article such as Grom 1 and Grom 2 or do we name the group itself into an article such as Grom (Assassin-class). Karohalva has been doing the latter but I think we should do the former. Plus, I don't know how to sign my comments. —Unsigned comment by Admiral jolyon (talk • contribs).
- Don't know about the Grom naming stuff, but you can sign your posts with 4 tildes (~~~~), which will create your name and the date and time when you save the page. -- I need a name (Complain here) 15:25, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Barbel
I redirected Barabel (appendage) into Barbel, so I removed the speedy deletion tag from the latter. The contained the exact same text. I do think the article would be better served as a note on anatomy of Mon Calamari though. I'm looking thru Isard's Revenge right now to verify the spelling and reference. Also, should a "you may be looking for the species Barabel" tag be added to this? I'll leave the deletion tag. Eniad (Boring conversation anyway.) 20:50, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind, found the reference in Isard's Revenge. I'm wrong and will fix the mess I made over at Barabel (appendage). Still, should the appendages be merged into Mon Calamari? And a "you may be looking for the species Barabel" tag might be a good idea.
The Barabel (appendage) article should be removed. This should have been just a spelling error. Rul Knizar 06:48, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Rul Knizar

[edit] Darth Malak
Alek is Malak now don't try to change it. User:Atrulean Starkiller
- That may be so, but no sources whatsoever state that Alek changed his name the moment he became a Sith. Sources do, however, refer to Alek as Malak in the vast majority of instances that you've changed. -- I need a name (Complain here) 00:47, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps the majority but he was known as Alek during the Mandalorian Wars so don't change it! User:Atrulean Starkiller
- No, he was known as Alek during any events covered by the KoTOR comics. There is no source for him using the name Alek during the entirety of the Mandalorian Wars. -- I need a name (Complain here) 15:48, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
They didn't reveal that Alek was his real name because they didn't decide that Malak wasn't his real name until after other sources saying that Malak was his real name were released. User: Atrulean Starkiller December 17, 2007 You can try to deny it but everywhere that I changed Malak to Alek is perfectly canonical. Atrulean Starkiller December 20, 2007

But since it's never shown in the movie what happened to Boga after she hit the water, we go with what the novel says that isn't contradicted by the movie, which is that she's dead. -- I need a name (Complain here) 20:10, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Infobox help
Hi I need a name. Sorry to ask this here its not Star Wars related but I really need your help. I'm the Administrator of the Elder Scrolls Wiki and what I'm trying to do is use the basic code of Wookiepedia's character infoboxes for our own infoboxes. However I've noticed that here the seperate fields are divided by light grey shading in the boxes. I have copied the code on to the Dunmer infobox but there is no color division between the seperate fields its all just white. Do you know how to fix this problem if it can be fixed, if so your help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. - –K.A.J•T•C•E• 13:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Why can't you accept that Kavar was one of the Jedi Exile's teachers?
Seeing your user page, I can't say you haven't played the game... Well, think about it. There are a lot of sources. It took me 5 minutes to find some, like:
Kavar: It seems my former student keeps curious company. Strange times lead to strange alliances, though.
Later, he tells queen Talia: An old student is returning.
Did you know that when I was training you I considered making you my Padawan?

- considered making you -- I need a name (Complain here) 19:31, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- That's not a valuable argument. I'll give you an identical example - if you look at Obi-Wan Kenobi's page, you can see that his known masters are Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn. He took some lessons from Yoda before he was chosen as a padawan, exactly like the Exile took from Kavar. Just some instructions and still, Yoda is considered one of Obi's masters. [edit] Visions of the Blade
I don't understand why my edit was reverted. Visions of the Blade linked to articles that did not exist on Wookieepedia, nor were Star Wars-related in the first place, so I instead linked them to their appropriate Wikipedia articles. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, as an example among many others, does the same. Is that not standard procedure? // ~mikah~ 21:57, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
I didn't want to start an edit war, so I came to your talk page about the revision first. However, since I've gone almost six hours with no response (perhaps you were sleeping? Until next time, happy editing! // ~mikah~ 03:44, 23 August 2008 (UTC)My edit was reverted again, though this time explaining that since they appeared in Star Wars media, they are technically Star Wars characters (or something like that. [edit] Reverted edit...
Just wondering, why did you revert my edit about Battlefront 2 being a possible appearence for the Battle of Mygeeto that appeared in Imperial Ace? It's got the AAC tanks and the TX-130Ts, so what's wrong with it being listed as a possible appearence?Stormie Fan 00:08, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm almost positive the only Battles of Mygeeto in Battlefront 2 are the Clone Wars one and the non-canon sandbox ones in the galactic conquesty bit. -- I need a name (Complain here) 10:39, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- That and on GCW conquest, which is why I put it down as a possible appearence after you reverted my first edit.Stormie Fan 18:37, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

- There's no possibly about it. It's not in it. The only relevant Battle of Mygeeto in Battlefront 2 is the Clone Wars one. Any other battles are in the non-canon sandbox galactic conquest, which is irrelevant, no matter how accurate you make them. I could invade Coruscant as the Rebels in Empire at War or make a map in Galactic Battlegrounds with lava, Anakin and Obi-Wan, but that doesn't mean that the First Battle of Coruscant (Galactic Civil War) and the Duel on Mustafar are now in those games. -- I need a name (Complain here) 15:54, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- Then I guess the Battle of Endor never appeared in Battlefront II, since it's not in campaign. Conquest has several canon conflicts anyway, so I don't see the problem of considering it a possible appearence. Stormie Fan 21:00, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Overlap
While searching, I realized article that long titles such as Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 33: Vindication, Part 2 aren't overlapped by the Eras template. However, on the Star Wars Fanon Wiki, long titles like The Fanon Menace: A Day in the Life of a Stormtrooper do get overlapped by the template. How did you do this? I'm just wondering because I want Star Wars Fanon to look as great as possible. Does it has anything to do with MediaWiki:Common.css or Template:Eras? If you don't know, can you please direct me to someone who does know? Thanks. --Michaeldsuarez

[edit] Imperator/Imperial I-class
I noticed you changed mention of the Star Destroyers in the Battle of Kashyyyk (Imperial Era) article from Imperator-class to Imperial-class ships, citing the book Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader, yet the book Revenge of the Sith: Incredible Cross-Sections says that they weren't called Imperial-class until after the Purge ended. Why does Dark Lord override ICS? -MPK 17:40, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- My mistake, I checked Dark Lord and it consistently uses the Imperator name and says nothing about them being renamed. Must've gotten it mixed up with the stormtroopers and Imperial Centre renames. -- I need a name (Complain here) 18:28, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

I have done a major facelift to the Second Battle of Bakura (Galactic Civil War) article. Can you please have a look through and see if my article is up to standard and whether it is fit enough to be called a Good Article? I put a lot of hard work and effort into it. Feel free to edit it.

[edit] IG-100 MagnaGuard
This is really minor, but what's the deal with the last revert? Aren't appearances meant to be italized? Mauser 13:26, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Not necessarily. -- I need a name (Complain here) 13:58, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well, Wookieepedia is not Wikipedia and here all appearances must be italized per Layout Guide. I put those italics back to where they were. Mauser 14:38, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Er, no. The Layout Guide says nothing about using italics and this isn't just a Wikipedia thing, it's a grammar thing. -- I need a name (Complain here) 14:44, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- I specifically consulted Toprawa about italizations of various short stories and he responded that "those should be italicized. We italicize the examples in the LG for a reason, so that's the policy right there." Mauser 14:52, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, the reason that they're italicised in the LG being that none of the examples used there are short stories. -- I need a name (Complain here) 14:55, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Your interpretation of the Layout Guide is no more correct than mine, as evidenced by the (non) result of the CT concerning this matter. Imposing that items in Source lists should not be italicized is neither correct or incorrect for our use, since we still have no policy over the matter. Therefore, I will suggest that you not decide for yourself what items should and should not be italicized. Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:36, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Denal
Hello. You've put the {{Fact}} tag in Denal's Bts section. I understand that you want to see it sourced, but honestly, I don't know how. It is just the only reasonable conclusion that can explain his rank discrepancy and that is based on the fact that Denal served under Rex in the TV series, so he couldn't be a commander. Other users seem to think that it's fine, too. Still, if you are not satisfied with it, we can discuss it and I'll appreciate any suggestion on how to source it. Or if we fail to reach a consensus, I may remove this statement altogether. In any way, please respond soon, because this tag is slowing the FA nomination process. I see you lopped out the entire "behind-the-scenes" bit I put in when I chopped out the "red trooper" stuff. I put that in so someone else wouldn't come along later and put something describng them as red back in. I like how the article stands now, but I do think something about the Magma troopers and red Stormtroopers not being one and the same needs to be in there.
The reason I feel so strongly about it is from seeing the 501st's costume descriptions call Magma troopers red Stormtroopers. And the sheer stubborn resistance to being told otherwise is shocking. I kept having this article quoted or linked at me, even after I'd explained why it wasn't accurate and what the red Stormtroopers really were. InquisitorPeregrinus 20:02, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

- Quite frankly, I don't give a fuck which is the correct name or not. What I give a fuck about is when people manage to fail at the mind-numbingly simple task of clicking a button marked 'move' to move a page and instead copy and paste it to a new name, so we end up with bullshit like an article history's being lost in the edit history of a redirect. Already an article at the name you want to move to? Then tag it for deletion and move it when it's been deleted. Not that this was a problem to begin with anyway, because the MediaWiki software allows you to move an article over another one which redirects to it if the latter hasn't been edited since, which was the case here. Of course, that can't be done now, since someone went and edited the redirect article, hence why I've tagged it for deletion so it can be moved properly. [edit] Not moves in the technical sense, but merges
Hey, INAN.
If you could, please hold off on tagging things for deletion as they are new articles where the information has yet to be merged. They are not duplicate articles in the purest sense. I'm working on moving these and updating the categories as quickly as possible. If have an issue with this, please see me on IRC as I am no now. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 17:52, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- The correct way to move the articles though is to delete the new one, move the old one to its place and then edit the redirect (assuming your intention is to have 2 seperate articles). -- I need a name (Complain here) 17:59, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- There is to be only one article, but the information needs to be merged. I am working on doing that now. If they were straight moves, I'd agree and have not said anything. The information that Riff added to the new articles is not in the old timelines. That's why I'm moving them over. Once there, the original articles, which were conjectural in title, could be outright deleted. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 18:02, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, and I am trying to weed out fanon if I see it while moving the relevant information over. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 18:03, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- That's still a copy and paste pagemove. If it was revealed tomorrow that Palpatine's first name was Dave and someone made a new article for it, that wouldn't make it OK to redirect the old Palpatine article and copy and paste the info from it into the new one. -- I need a name (Complain here) 18:15, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not saying that. I'm saying that there is new information that was posted and it is not a simple move-over-top-some-random-page. I'm working with an administrator on IRC with this right now. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 18:21, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- That's exactly what you're doing though.
- New page is made.
- Old page on same subject is discovered.
- Old page is redirected to new page.
- This is a textbook example of how not to move a page. -- I need a name (Complain here) 18:36, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- First off, the page was created by someone else and yes, something new was discovered. But, a redirect is not wanted or needed. Also, can you please show me a policy on how to move a page. It may not have been done to your liking, and I apologize for that. Yet, there are other ways to do things. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 19:00, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Help:Moving a page, specifically #Page histories. And it's irrelevant who created the new page, it doesn't magically not make it a copy and paste move if you didn't create it. -- I need a name (Complain here) 19:14, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

- I'm not saying that. I'm saying that there is new information that was posted and it is not a simple move-over-top-some-random-page. I'm working with an administrator on IRC with this right now. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 18:21, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, and I am trying to weed out fanon if I see it while moving the relevant information over. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 18:03, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- The issue has been resolved and the pages moved correctly, so there is no need for further discussion of the matter. Atarumaster88

[edit] Hi!
You might need a name, but I need a job. :) Mr. Mug|Talk to me with some root beer. 20:59, 25 August 2009 (UTC) (P.S.) I'm working on the signature!
[edit] Hey man
I saw you reversed my edit on the sith lord who led the attack on the jedi temple. That picture was exaly him. It was labeled as a sith warrior but it was him. Do you know of a better picture? Cause I hate concept art used for pictures. and I can see why you deleted it.User:Revanthereformer1138
- Assuming that the image is actually of him, (which is unconfirmed), it's still unsuitable for the infobox anyway. -- I need a name (Complain here) 11:55, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Possible vandalism
Hi, I just noticed user Purpillia adding supposed info from The Essential Atlas that I'm not able to find it at all and also strangely combining things (I believe by assumptions) using The Essential Atlas and Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion as a cover up for his contributions. I may be wrong and also I don't like to accuse anybody, just think moderators should know about that. After all we all want to be wookieepedia source of reliable info and not made up fanon creations, right? Can you please take a closer look on his editings? Thank you.--Jedi Marty 17:24, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
- I don't yet have The Essential Atlas, nor am I an admin/moderator. It'd probably be better to just ask Purpilia himself where in the Atlas he's getting the info from. -- I need a name (Complain here) 17:28, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Inexpugnable
Hello Name. Thanks for helping me with the Inexpugnable-class tactical command ship article. I've been working on that through the KOTOR Wookieeproject to make it Featured. But I'm new to this, and so I'm glad you a) switched my occasional Canadian english to American english and b) reordered the sources so they're in chronological order. I'll be nominating this to Featured once I get the main content about 1000 words (I think it's at about 975 now.) Thanks again! I know I really don't need to tell you this, but don't forget to post a warning for vandalism.—B-Boba Fett! He'll kill us all!

[edit] Clone names
That's the way it's supposed to be done. If you have an issue with it, please take it to a CT instead of turning this into a senseless edit war. CC7567 (talk) 22:39, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
- And someone once singlehandedly changed all the articles on songs so that the names were italicised. Doesn't mean its right. The character is called
Gree, not"Gree,", thus onlyGreeshould be in bold. Same goes for any other articles which erroneously bold the grammar when it's not part of the name. -- I need a name (Complain here) 22:48, November 16, 2009 (UTC)- Then take it to a CT instead of taking the time to explain it to me. The established precedent is going to stay the way it is until others start to share your reasoning. CC7567 (talk) 22:55, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
- WP:MOS already states to bold the name, which quote marks and commas aren't part of (in this case, at least). -- I need a name (Complain here) 00:12, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Xenomorph
In that case, we should likely delete the article entirely, or at best denote it "non-canon" instead of "ambiguously canon". InQuest isn't a LucasFilm source, and "Xenomorphs" do not show up in "Coruscant Nights II". The novel uses the word "xenomorph", but it means something different and is not referring to this creature. I mentioned it on the Coruscant Nights II talk page. I'm totally willing to be reasonable on this, I'm not just trying to edit for the sake of editing. But let's at least be sane about it. :) Xenomrph 22:12, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
