C. 25,053 BBY Edit

Can you please move the page? Ordinarily it would be simple for me, but I don't know what to do with the redirect page. Thanks! Imperators II(Talk) 17:30, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Ship names Edit

Hey INAN, I wanted to get your opinion on something. I've noticed you moving a lot of ship names from "<name> (<class>)" to just "<name> (starship)" because the old title was "needlessly specific." However, our naming policy states that we should be as precise as possible; and under the starship section, it also clearly states that we should use "<name> (starship)" as opposed to "<name> (<class>)" only when the class is unknown. I figured I'd contact you first about this before I just went and moved all of them back; what do you think? Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 19:28, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

  • I've always interpreted the "disambiguate between the different starships" line in the policy to be referring to cases where there's several starships with the same name, where a "<name> (starship)" article would be equally valid for any of them. -- I need a name (Complain here) 19:53, April 23, 2011 (UTC)
    • Ah, didn't interpret it that way myself, but that seems fair enough. Thanks. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 20:06, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

CT amendment Edit

Hey. Just wanted to let you know that the QOTD spoilers CT you voted on has been amended. Per a suggestion from Tm_T, the wording has been changed to eliminate the phrase "newly-released" to make it clear that it applies to all material including pre-release stuff. Thanks. Nikto Jedi revert Edit

Please undo the revert on the article on the Unidentified Nikto Jedi. I edited it so that the size of the picture would fit the infobox. 08:46, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

  • No. That picture is only 180 pixels wide, whereas the infobox is 250 pixels wide. Pictures should be decreased in size to fit the infobox, not increased. This isn't CSI, increasing the size of a picture doesn't magically make it look better, it makes it look like a blurry pile of crap instead. -- I need a name (Complain here) 16:47, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

Fanon?? Edit

I'm sorry if you see that it might be Fanon. I was only looking at these pages and saw they needed improvement. I looked around to other sites and and found information that occurred on several other places. So with the information staying consistent I wanted to add it. Yet due to my own misunderstanding I couldn't source the information.

Oh really Edit

The Battle of Mustafar in 12 BBY? Even the databank article puts Gizor Dellso on Mustafar "in the early days of the empire". It would be interesting to know your inspiration for specifying 12 BBY as a definitive date. So he hid out in the droid factory for nearly 7 years, then boarded a a star destroyer. Certainly had the element of surprise. Saying that is the date simply because it happened 'before the battle of Kamino', then citing a reference to back that up has no logic to it whatsoever dude.40 Year Old Virgin 16:16, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

  • Spoiler: I reverted my edit less than a minute after making it. That was 2 days ago. -- I need a name (Complain here) 16:45, August 14, 2011 (UTC)
    • Oh.. in that case I apologise. I assumed you had a hand in the fanon regarding the date, as I had seen your edit, without checking what else you'd done. I will now go and chastise someone else for the crime. Without peeing in your pocket, I would have to say you have an impressive body of work here. I'm impressed. Have a nice day.

Ship titles Edit

Hey INAN, I noticed you reverted my move on the Reptavian and Dragonsnake ship titles. I was under the impression from the vote on this CT that we were supposed to be as specific as possible, per Tope's comment. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 19:04, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • And now I'm facepalming because I completely forgot about our previous discussion on this. Sorry; nevermind. :P Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 19:08, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

Spenpiano says thank youEdit

Thanks, but if there's any proof about these articles. I hope will find out.--Spenpiano 21:04, October 6, 2011 (UTC)

Comics Edit

For those comics, it wasn't the 19th yet for many. JangFett (Talk) 13:42, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

Linking Edit

INAN, the linking in Vindican was correct. For pipelinking, it's acceptable and encouraged to put any remaining letters within the double brackets. Instead of clones, it should be clones. This usage can work with "'s" as well. For non pipelinking, you were correct to say Han Solo's. JangFett (Talk) 17:51, December 6, 2011 (UTC)

  • Except pluralising words in pipelinks doesn't run counter to the way the MediaWiki software works. "clones" and "clones" both result in "clones" (although only the former is correct, it's just not as wrong as the apostrophe in the next example). "Han Solo's" and "Han Solo's", however, result in "Han Solo's" and "Han Solo's", which are completely different. In this example, only the former is correct. Suggesting that the latter is correct if the link is pipelinked (eg "Han Solo's" is contrary to the way the MediaWiki software handles apostrophes at the end of links. For the sake of consistency, all links would need to be handled the same way, eg "Han Solo's" and "Han Solo's". Since "Han Solo's" is demonstrably wrong, so is "Han Solo's". Thus "Han Solo's" is correct. -- I need a name (Complain here) 19:14, December 6, 2011 (UTC)

Conclave on Kessel Edit

I have provided sources for the deaths of those killed during the Conclave on Kessel. Please don't revert them again unless you have a more recent updated source. Ressor 14:27, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

  • I reverted them because Menkooroo had already updated the articles, specifically the behind the scenes sections, to reflect the information. -- I need a name (Complain here) 14:28, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
    • But they had the wrong date of death, so I had to change them. Ressor 14:32, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
      • Then take it up with him. -- I need a name (Complain here) 14:33, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
        • I left him a message, but he hasn't replied. I apologise if I seemed a bit rash about it. Ressor 14:36, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

Cabbel Edit

INAN, it is not my intention to start a reversion war with you regarding the treatment of the apostrophe-s in the Cabbel article. I simply wish to point out to you that tucking the 's inside the pipelink brackets is the accepted norm adopted by the majority of users most involved in writing and reviewing status articles. I believe if you go through the bulk of our Featured, Good, and Comprehensive articles, you will find this to be true for yourself, and I believe if you talk to any of the wiki's regular article promoters, they will tell you the same thing. I would therefore request that this be changed back, though as I said, I do not wish to start a reversion war. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:15, January 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • See here. -- I need a name (Complain here) 22:16, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
    • Yes, I've already seen your explanation, and I think it's unfortunate that you apparently intend to turn this into a power struggle. Despite your analysis of how the software works, I will reiterate that this is the precedent established by the bulk of the community, as presented in the vast majority of the community's status articles, and I would hope you could respect that. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:21, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
      • Well, no, because "a bunch of people think it works like that" isn't a compelling argument for the validity of something. If anything, it merely demonstrates that a sizeable number of users and articles are wrong. I'm not going to go on some huge editing spree and fix it in all the FAs, GAs and CAs (which would be the logical action after being informed about incorrect formatting in articles), nor am I going to start an edit war on the Cabbel article over it, but I'm under no obligation to respect the consensus as being right when it demonstrably isn't. -- I need a name (Complain here) 22:57, January 17, 2012 (UTC)

Grammar editsEdit

I have noticed that you have undone some of my edits. I would appreciate it if you would not remove edits of minor grammatical mistakes. SirThomasBarbados 16:28, January 30, 2012 (UTC)

TCW episode imagesEdit

Please show me the link of the page where it is written that only official images can be used, and also what images are considered as "official". Otherwise, please do not delete my edits. Thank you. --XXLVenom998 19:44, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

  • All 86 episodes prior use the image from the official episode guides, not whatever image looks coolest, much like all the comic articles have an image of the cover instead of a random panel from inside. The official episode guide for Brothers is here. You'll note that page doesn't currently exist, hence neither does an official episode image. -- I need a name (Complain here) 19:55, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

Oppo RancisisEdit

stop re editing oppo rancisis's file- the information is correct, go on yoda's profile for proof! Unsigned comment by Asfairbairn98 (talk • contribs).

  • Wookieepedia is not a source. The Databank, however, is. It says that Rancisis is, and I quote, "[a] former student of fellow Council member Yaddle". Yaddle, not Yoda. Even less of a source is your own imagination, which disqualifies "Quat Dewang" from ever being an apprentice to anyone. -- I need a name (Complain here) 15:39, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

does the fact that Jaina marries Jagged mean that Jaina is related to Marssiah Fel? and therefore Marasiah fel related to Cade Skywalker?

Revert Edit

Is there a reason why you keep reverting my edits on the Dooku article? Revan4000 14:50, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

  • Because Quotetrans is the correct template to use when the line has been translated into English, such as any line spoken by Poggle the Lesser in AotC. This applies to any other articles where I've seen you incorrectly remove the template too. -- I need a name (Complain here) 15:04, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Edit

Would you mind putting them up on a subpage or something, and I'll try to get to them when I have time and also try to recruit some other admins to do stuff. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 14:09, April 15, 2012 (UTC)

Whisper article Edit

Hi. Well originally I was thinking of making Whisper (Bith) have a page simply called Whisper, but I think it would be a better idea to keep Whisper (Bith) and use the "Whisper" page as a disambig page for the different things, like the perfume, starship, Whisper bird, etc. StarsiderSWG 19:56, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Protection Edit

Hey, INAN, I noticed you removing the protection from my templates. That's fine, I didn't intend to protect them–I was copy-pasting the default code for each template, and the protection must have been included from one of the first ones. I moved a lot of pre-existing templates to new names, and some of them were protected, so that's how it might have happened. But thanks anyway. Royal Crusader Edit

Hello there! I noticed you removed Clone Campaigns from the Apps list of Royal Crusader. They actually appear in the multiplayer. And they are also in the campaign with the combined version, so would it be worth it to create an article for Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga? Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 22:23, June 22, 2012 (UTC)

Can you help me? Edit

At the moment I'm working an article called the First Battle of Harte Secur from the game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, but I need some images and some info from the level the battles in and I can't get them because the game doesn't work on my computer. Since I know you have the game if you could reply to me and tell me if you can do it that would be really helpful. Cheers.--Commander Code-8 (talk) 22:26, September 11, 2012 (UTC)
