Audiophiles Edit

Hey J,

Are you still able to upload audio from Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith? If so, I have a few I need please, when you have time.

  • 11:46 to 11:48—sound of lanvarok disc being hurled.
  • 11:48 to 11:41—Primitive weaponry…but accurate, said by Exar Kun.

That's based on a total play time of 1:08:34. Thanks either way.—Tommy 9281 Friday, November 25, 2011, 18:02 UTC

  • should be able to manage that for ya. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 18:29, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
    • Hey, how're those audio clips coming?—Tommy 9281 Friday, December 2, 2011, 00:25 UTC
      • *face palm* completely spaced on it. I'll get them done by this weekend. Thank YOU for giving me the timestamps which will make it MUCH easier for me to do. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:32, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
        • No worries :P And that's based off of a 2nd disc with no track breaks. I have both, just the single hour & change long version on the pc only. Thanks again.—Tommy 9281 Friday, December 2, 2011, 01:00 UTC

Here I was all ready to upload and add them to the article, and MJ slapped the inuse tag on it. LOL Anyway, here are the files, ready to copy and paste when MJ is done. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:59, December 2, 2011 (UTC)

Kiros Edit

So, another request. Could you upload several pictures from Kidnapped? Basically, what I want to do is replace all the comic images in the article with images of the same scenes from the episode. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 11:44, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

  • Done, regarding all the images in the Kiros article. Did you also want everything found here also to be converted, as much as is possible give the changes to the storyline? - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:58, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
    • D'oh! Stupid me. I was talking about the Battle of Kiros, but I got distracted and didn't make it clear. I'm really sorry. Yeah, if it's not too much, the request stands. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 12:06, November 30, 2011 (UTC)

  • Wookieepedia is not other wikis, it is not wikipedia. If your picture didn't come from an officially licensed source, then is is not welcome here. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 01:35, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
    • Fair enough.

Re: Qui-Gon Edit

Yeah, the Zygerrian thing is going to keep me occupied for a while, but as soon as I resume my work on Qui-Gon and find myself in need of images, I'll certainly drop you a note. Preserving the images from deletion won't be a problem, I think. We can always find some relevant mainspace article to add them to. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 10:40, December 5, 2011 (UTC)

Overwritten Edits? Edit

I'm sorry, I'm a little confused/concerned by a comment you made (apple fly) about my recent edits to the article CT-7567. You seem to imply that my edits will be overwritten by "CC's work". Is that actually the case? I'm new here, and I joined in part because pages like that one where both poorly written and factually inaccurate. I welcome criticism and I understand that anything I post here is subject to revision, but it's a little disconcerting to hear that my work is going to be overwritten "anyway".

If to could clarify what you meant by that comment, I'd appreciate it. For now I'm assuming that my contributions are not welcome on that article, which is disappointing to say the least.--Sachariah 04:06, December 8, 2011 (UTC)

  • There is a WookieeProject The Clone Wars on which the founder, CC7567 has marked Rex as a long term project he is working on, on one of his user subpages. So, while any quality edits you make to improve the current article are welcomed, and may be incorporated by CC's work on his subpage, when he is finished writing the article, he will likely replace the entire article as it sits now with that he has written and been working on a very long time. So any work you do may get overwritten, not because it is poorly written or anything like that, but simply because someone is working on it currently in the plans to make the Rex article a featured article here. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 04:13, December 8, 2011 (UTC)

TEA image reply/question Edit

Hey, JMAS. Thanks for all your help with those TEA images. I don't mean to be a bother, but is there any chance that you can get a clearer image of this pic? By your response, I wasn't a hundred percent sure whether you could or not. Thanks again for your help.--Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 20:42, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

  • That one wasn't on Chris Trevas's FB profile, but I think I can get an improved version of that. Do you have an article to put it in though? If not, "I'm afraid she's scheduled to be terminated." - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 20:46, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

More Mos Eisley Madness Edit

Hey, JMAS,I had a question/request for you. Would it be possible to upload the image from the article SWInsider small "Rogues Gallery: The Usual Suspects: Who's Who in Mos Eisley"—Star Wars Insider 130 to the Wook? Ideally without the lines and text, but if that's impossible, that's impossible. I don't think that image has appeared anywhere else previously (though File:Mos Eisley BTS group shot.jpg is close), and the identifications made by Chee are throwing a bunch of previous cantina IDs into doubt (see Forum:SH:More_Mos_Eisley_Madness). Also, the image would be good raw material to get good infobox images of the two Lutrillians, since neither of them is Solomahal, the only OT Lutrillian for whom we have a decent headshot. If you're too busy or unable to help, no problem at all. I thought if anyone could do it, though, it'd be you! Thanks. ~SavageBOB sig 16:20, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • I can probably edit down to get any headshots you need from it, and on those headshots, edit out lines. However, the full image, the most I'll be able to do is blank out the text in the bubbles. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:25, December 16, 2011 (UTC)
    • OK, both of those sound helpful. The full image would at least be useful for us to debate how to treat the new information, and for some BTS sections. The headshots that would be useful at this point are the two Lutrillians and the white-haired Nimbanel. I really appreciate it, man. ~SavageBOB sig 15:38, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Frog-lady Edit

I think that'd be a bit of a stretch. :P He does say that, but the name itself is too ridiculous to sound official, and even if it were official, we should wait for printed confirmation given the ambiguity of the name. It sounds like he used "frog-lady" for lack of a better term. CC7567 (talk) 03:14, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Image usage Edit

I was planning to use it for the Prelude section of the Battle of Kamino (Tipoca City assault), but I'm not sure if it would be entirely appropriate just because it might be too distracting (:P) from the purpose, which is just to show Grievous and Ventress as rivals. It sounds worth looking at, though, so yeah, could you upload it for comparison? CC7567 (talk) 03:21, December 29, 2011 (UTC)

  • I like the image, but to be honest, I think it's too distracting and not directly relevant to the Battle of Kamino's prelude, which would be my use of it. It might work for Grievous, though—there's an imageless section on the Battle of Kamino there. CC7567 (talk)

Suicide Edit

Hey man, I saw nothing wrong with that image in the Suicide article. Because the intro states it, as well as it's mentioned in the image itself, it pretty much fits. JangFett (Talk) 03:28, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

Info/Image request Edit

Hey, I'm wondering if you can please assist me with images and information from Star Wars: Republic 28: The Hunt for Aurra Sing, Part 1 specifically in regards to the Republic Peace Officers. Images of them, if there are any, would be great but I'm also needing as much information as possible including quotes. I'm hoping you still have access to the comic. Thanks! Coruscantfan (Talk) 05:03, January 3, 2012 (UTC)

Ackbar Edit

There seems to be a misunderstanding. When I said to leave the SWE infobox image out of the Ackbar article until it's been discussed in the talk page, I did not expect for you to put it back in the article. Normally if an infobox image is taken to the talk page, there's a gallery with the original Ackbar infobox image and yours, and it's put to a vote. This time, it was not present, and I reverted your edit of putting back the SWE image and commented on it, although I received a comment that wasn't my intention. No, I do not own the article, but I'm sure you know what I meant when I said "take it to the talk page." Ackbar, and his image, is one of those characters that should be discussed first. Indigo Studios Edit

I have trouble accepting that Indigo Studios is the actual author of Hasbro images. First, they misspelled their client's name on their site—Harbro instead of Hasbro—and, second, they have Darth Vader's ship, Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Starfighter, and a TIE Interceptor labeled as a "V-wing" on the box image. If they truly were the authors, they would have the final proper images. Can we get a verification of the claim to authorship by Indigo Studios from Hasbro? Because I have worked in the industry long enough to know that fraudulent websites will make sensational claims to get business. Otherwise, the art taken from the actual box should remain the canon image, shouldn't it? GethralkinHyperwave 08:03, January 9, 2012 (UTC)

  • Additionally, is there any supporting source to the claim that they are the authors of Hasbro's Star Wars merchandise? GethralkinHyperwave 08:15, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
    • I don't think they necessarily designed every box art in the Hasbro line, but did for the V-wing and the other ones. As far as the V-wing on the boxes, I would guess that is an early production design where they digitally placed their artwork on a pre-existing packaging box for the V-wing to submit for proofing purposes. So they misspelled Hasbro. It's a typo. I've seen plenty of other professional websites with typos, not to mention they correctly spell Hasbro for other product lines they developed packaging art for. Trust me, they would not put that there if they hadn't actually been hired by Hasbro to create that artwork. Otherwise they'd have Hasbro and LucasFilm on them faster than you can blink. I can confirm the Sith Infiltrator box artis the same box art as the final Hasbro product, so they are the designers for that. Based on that, I trust the others to be accurate as well. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:35, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
      • Well, I have seen before where a certain website claimed that a software company called Cyan was their client, except that they actually didn't yet they even produced images they claimed to have done for them. So, just because someone states that they are working for a company does not make it so and it isn't unheard of—it's called resume padding. A company operating unethically can and will do that sort of thing. If we can get a confirmation from Hasbro that they are the designers of those images, then I personally would feel better. However, you do make a good point about the veracity of Lucas Licensing. Then again, in searching for the Indigo Studios site, instances of the results—some that mention their founder by name—pulls up flagged warnings of untrustworthy activity from watchdog applications like WOT. If they are the real thing, then great because the image is better. However, I am concerned of the authenticity of canon because they are the only source of verification here. I will call Hasbro and ask, though, and get it straight from them. Everyone should be back to work by now. GethralkinHyperwave 14:58, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
        • You will not get any sort of confirmation from Hasbro on who does the artwork for any of their present or past Star Wars toy lines. I've asked them before, who the artist was that designed the box artwork for their Unleashed line figures. They refused stating it was proprietary information. And after a fair amount of searching, I discovered it to be Clark Mitchell. I'm not saying that a company won't pad their resume like you're saying. What I'm saying is, LucasFilm watches for that kind of thing very closely, and would have shot them down by now, if it wasn't legitimate. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 01:15, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
          • You make a good point. I may still be able to get an answer, however, with the connections that I have. Meanwhile, even if it is authentic, it is a non-canon concept art image because it was discarded for final use—like deleted scene material—and should not be used to represent the main topic of the article. A note should also be added concerning that concept art is being shown. GethralkinHyperwave 14:27, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Lux Edit

Thanks as always. We'll see what happens to Mr. Baldy—doesn't look like age has had a pleasant effect. :P CC7567 (talk) 04:47, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

  • What do you think about the new images from the Encyclopedia? It doesn't look like any of them are worth using over the current infobox image—hopefully we might be able to get a better one from the episode of his older self. CC7567 (talk) 04:50, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

A Word of Advice Edit

You might want to cool it with the mass main image changing. Multiple users have expressed concerns with the Encyclopedia images, and unilaterally deciding what is best for so many articles isn't a productive way to address the issue. Traditionally, situations where multiple users disagree on what main image is best are brough to a vote; during such a scenario, the original image usually stays in place until the vote has finished. When more than one user reverts your image change, it might be worth considering that you're not the only one who knows what's best image-wise. Menkooroo 06:50, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

  • You know, for a character page, I'll agree with you. Those should be discussed on the talk page. And from here on out, I will. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Encyclopedia images. They are high quality promotional images. Regarding the Chief article, the picture of the Ewoks was dark, you can barely see Chirpa in it. The main visible character is Logray, a Shaman, not a chief. That image is also already used on TWO other article pages. There is no reason it has be on a third, minor article. There is nothing wrong with image diversity. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 06:54, January 14, 2012 (UTC)
    • Fair point, and thanks for understanding. Sorry if any of the reversions caused hard feelings. Cheers. Menkooroo 06:58, January 14, 2012 (UTC)
      • No worries. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 07:00, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

Ming Po Edit

Hey, JMAS; I was actually preparing to put Tryla's pic in the Ming Po infobox. We tend to always have dudes, so since we've got an interesting-looking female, I thought she'd be appropriate. What do you think? (Also, I should probably just ask you beforehand next time, since it seems you get these images ready beforehand. If you have a better version of the Tryla pic, please feel free to just delete mine! :)) ~SavageBOB sig 21:19, January 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • No worries; I'd just as soon leave it to one of the two alone. If we combine them, we raise certain canon issues: did Tryla stand just to the side of Pieter in just that pose? Do you see what I mean? It's not a big deal, but I'd rather have just Pieter than to have something that stretches canon. ~SavageBOB sig 22:41, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
  • Notice that the lighting is off too; Pieter is lit from the left, but Tryla is lit from the right. Sorry to cause a stir; you should just revert to Pieter probably. And thanks again for your image work! ~SavageBOB sig 22:43, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • There is no canon issues. They are promotional images from the same official source, the Encyclopedia. As far as the lighting, I'm not seeing that being any problem. The light "source" is from the front, and they are each turning in towards each other, so their opposite sides are illuminated. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:59, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
      • I see where you're coming from, but I still disagree. The canon issue is that now we have an image of two characters in two very distinct poses standing next to each other, which implies that this situation occurred in-universe at some point. However, it's a situation we engineered, not one that we took from an official source. Ideally, should this article ever get expanded, one of the images would be used for the infobox and the other for the "Biology and appearance" section, so it's not really an issue to go back to just one. Again, sorry for causing a stink in the first place. :( ~SavageBOB sig 14:08, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
        • There is no way to imply these images came from any situation or scene. They were on a transparent/white background at their source and they still are here. Had they been placed on an actual pictorial backdrop, I could understand where you are coming from. Take the Tryla image, she looks timid, likely due to being oppressed by Death Watch. But it is still a promotional image. You can't say a promotional image came from "such and such a situation" IU because there is no background to the image, it's completely neutral. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:22, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
          • I disagree; I think placing them beside one another implies some sort of relationship or scene, as if they occupy the same time and space. It is an interesting question, though, and I'm not trying to pick a fight. Would you mind a Senate Hall thread, since this is something I've been wondering about in general? Again, I don't want to be combative. I can just leave it alone until such a time as Ming Po gets expanded big enough to support both images separately if you'd prefer; at the end of the day, I appreciate your help on all things image! :) ~SavageBOB sig 03:34, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
            • Of course there is some sort of relationship. They are grandfather and granddaughter. Duh. :p Really though, go for it. Although, I can almost assure you it's going to bring out the promotional image haters the TCW haters just based on the topic and subject of the images prompting the thread. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 03:50, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
              • OK, check out Forum:SH:Imagine compositing and canon, and feel free to edit my original question if you think I've misrepresented something. I think I presented both our opinions fairly, but I may have unintentionally shown some bias. :) ~SavageBOB sig 16:06, January 22, 2012 (UTC)

Conqueror image Edit

Hello there JMAS, I had a question for you concerning an image you uploaded to Wookieepedia, Conqueror_superlaser.jpg. It's the JPEG of the 'Conqueror' Star Destroyer from the Star Wars Galaxies trading card game. I guess my question is...where did you get it?! I noticed it's a different version from the "Threat of the Conqueror" poster, without the troopers in the foreground, but its also not a cropped copy of the card itself because the card information isn't where it would be either. I would really love to get my hands on a higher resolution copy to use as a desktop background. It's just about my favorite EU ship. Any help would be great! - Blaise

  • It is cropped from the in-game card, nothing more. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 08:09, January 21, 2012 (UTC)
    • Hmm, I see. Thank you anyway JMAS. I guess the next step is to contact the artist :) - Blaise
      • You can feel free to try. But I find it highly unlikely the artist will just freely part with a high resolution copy of their artwork. I've searched the internet for the full artwork of most all the artists for the SWG TCG, and that image is not one I've seen in any higher resolution. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 08:42, January 21, 2012 (UTC)

DC-17 hand blasterEdit

Hello. I was wondering if you would be able to replace the current image of the DC-17 hand blaster, with the one being shown at the Official Star Wars website under "Blasters". Thank you in advance. DarthPrime 06:11, February 11, 2012

  • I've had that one cropped and cleaned up for a while now ... and I've considered replacing the one in the article. But the quality of that image isn't anywhere near the quality of the one currently in the article. The tiny size and lower quality just can't justify replacing the current higher quality image, even though it shows the blaster in the hand of a clone trooper. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 06:20, February 11, 2012 (UTC)

Re:Search Edit

Yes, I'm taking care of that. I'm making more search icons too to even it out. I noticed you uploaded too many TCW. :P JangFett (Talk) 05:37, February 12, 2012 (UTC)

  • The micro series could have search icons too. I made a Mace Windu one and it might be the best out of my three at the moment. Williams has a new crop too. JangFett (Talk) 06:08, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
    • You should definitely consider creating EU icons. We shouldn't end up like the SWE—the saga and only TCW. JangFett (Talk) 07:02, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
      • I wanted to get some easily made ones using the already transparent backgrounds conveniently provided by the Encyclopedia. Now that those are out of the way, yeah, I can start looking at some other EU characters. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 07:06, February 12, 2012 (UTC)

  • I'm not an admin, so I can't. Just mark it with the {{Ifd}} tag. However, sometimes you just have to refresh your page after a couple minutes to allow the page cache to update. I see the updated version of the image. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:43, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
    • Ok, sorry for bothering you. The new image has finaly showed up.--501st DogmaRepublic emblem(Comlink) 22:50, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
      • No bother. :) There are times when the Wikia servers are acting up and they don't update a new version unless an admin deletes the old version and actually moves the file to a new file name. If that ever happens, you can take the image with {{WISS}}. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:53, February 12, 2012 (UTC)

Battle of KadavoEdit

Hey, JMAS. It looks like I'm nearly done fixing the Zygerrian TCW mess. The only article remaining is the Battle of Kadavo. Could you grab some images from the episode to replace the comic ones in the article, like you did with the Battle of Kiros? Basically, I'm looking for an equivalent of this for the prelude and a couple of others. One for the main pic and another one for the "Battle" section. These two can be from any scene; just pick whatever ones you think suit best. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 20:38, February 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • Are you OK with me adding them to the article in spite of the inuse tag, or would you prefer them put on your talk page? - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:02, February 17, 2012 (UTC)
    • Sure. Go ahead and add them to the article. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 00:48, February 18, 2012 (UTC)
      • Sorry for the delay. I'll try and get this done in the next few days. I'm not too keen on the images presented in the episode gallery, and they're the best quality. And the video file I have I think is corrupted, so I'm going to have to re-access that before I can get screenshots. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:41, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

Journal of Gnost-Dural Edit

Hey JMAS, I don't know if you would be able to, but there are a few images from The Journal of Master Gnost-Dural that I was hoping to add to several articles. Do you have/could you get any access to the book to be able to upload some of the images I need? Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 09:00, February 24, 2012 (UTC)

  • I'll see about getting access. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:51, February 24, 2012 (UTC)

DraaEdit

Hi, just wondering if you could upload another picture of Draa. I'm currently working on him on my workbench to get him up to GA status. I've looked through the gallery on SW.com but found nothing. It would be great if the article had an image of him doing something else than firing a missile. Thanks, 501st DogmaRepublic emblem(Comlink) 22:45, February 26, 2012 (UTC)

  • Ignore the comment above. I've managed to find pictures of Draa here. I'll upload them, but thanks for your time. 501st DogmaRepublic emblem(Comlink) 23:25, March 6, 2012 (UTC)
    • Sorry about that. I completely spaced on this. Glad you found images you need. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:26, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

SOTE Edit

Hey, JMAS. Seeing as you've uploaded most, if not all, of our SOTE trading card images, presumably from that secondary "Art of" book, would you be able to get a better version of this? Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:10, March 1, 2012 (UTC)

  • I'm 99% sure that one wasn't in the "Art of" book. But I'll take a look, and scour my other sources. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:36, March 1, 2012 (UTC)

TOR armor and clothing Edit

Hi JMAS I noticed you removed the deletion tag on Trandoshan desh guantlets and was wondering if you could do the same to a number of other articles I have written on the same grounds including Ithorian mariner's loose wrap. I have contacted the user who marked them for deletion but we cannot come to an agreement on if they should be deleted or not as he believes that they do not merit their own articles. I obviously cannot remove the deletion tags myself as I created the pages but belive that they are written well within Wookieepedia's guidelines on what merits its own article. They make up the majority of the Speedy deletion category at the moment and so should be easy to find. If I've misinterpreted the guidelines and they do merit deletion my apologise and I would greatly appreciate being told where I've gone wrong so I can apply it to future articles I write. Ayrehead02 22:50, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

  • I just removed the tag on the one I saw that was definitely distinctive. But I've commented on Alexsau1991's talk page regarding what his proper course of action should be. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:14, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
    • Thank you for your help on the issue. Sorry to further ask for help but I'm to using the trash compactor and can't find how to link the rest of the articles into the same thread and creating individual threads seems hugely inefficient Ayrehead02 23:23, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
      • Sorry meant new to using the trash compactor Ayrehead02 23:23, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
        • Added them to them comment section for now. Thanks again Ayrehead02 23:28, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
          • You shouldn't have to create the TC article. Alexsau1991 should. They want the pages deleted, then it is their job to create the TC and mark each article appropriately. If they don't in a reasonable time, then I'll remove the Speedy Deletion tags myself. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:33, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
            • Ok thanks! Ayrehead02 23:36, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
              • Decided I'm not even going to wait. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:36, March 4, 2012 (UTC)

Atlas Edit

Hey JMAS, would you be able to get a grab of the wampa-tauntaun image from the Atlas on page 185, I believe it is? Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:13, March 11, 2012 (UTC)

WP:TOR Edit

Goddammit
Jedistarbirdthing
"Our time has come."
Hello <insert name here>! So, it's been a little over three months since The Old Republic was released, and WookieeProject: The Old Republic, which was founded almost two years ago now, was in dire need of a revamp and update. Participation has slumped, but it's time to get back on the wagon and refocus our efforts. So here are some stats: currently, we have ten Featured Articles, thirty-one Good Articles, and thirty-four Comprehensive Articles. Cal Jedi and Coruscantfan have both been doing great work lately, but we need more users to start undertaking projects from the game and related materials. Comprehensive articles are a great way to get started, so take a leap, pick an article, and get crackin'.

Beyond status articles, there are a few other ways you can help WP: TOR with it's primary goals. Those of you who have a current subscription to the game are welcome to visit our new guild page, where we're setting up in-game groups to help catalogue and confirm information here on Wookieepedia. Aside from that, our article lists can always use expansions. We have some fun new programs and challenges coming to WP:TOR in the future, so take a look at our news and discussion area for updates, and always remember to add any of your new status article successes to the news board.
If you have any questions or comments, head on over to the forums or let me know on my talk page. Take a look around the updated project page, and happy hunting! Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 09:37, March 11, 2012 (UTC)

Comment Edit

I happened to delete your last comment you made on one of the talk pages in my circus of file page moves. Just letting you know in case you wanted to repost it here. I'm hoping the cache doesn't take too long for that file to come back. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:33, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

Visionaries Maul image Edit

Hey JMAS, I noticed that you uploaded a new image of Maul from Old Wounds, but the one that yo uploaded is actually only found in the "Revenge" trivia gallery—it's not the original found in the comic itself. If you compare it to the original, Maul it much heavier and the waist/hip cybernetic area is much different. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:04, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • It's the same image, according to the Trivia gallery. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 06:09, March 17, 2012 (UTC)
    • Yeah, but if you look at the actual comic, it's not. There are clear modifications. So the image can't be sourced to the comic if that's not where you got it from, correct? Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:14, March 17, 2012 (UTC)
      • Hey JMAS, I just wanted to let you know that I've re-uploaded the old version because, given that it is being used to illustrate the events of the Visionaries comic in the article, it should remain in this version. The TCW trivia version is found nowhere in the comic itself, so doesn't really belong under that file name. Feel free to upload it to a separate file and use it elsewhere, however. But these are not the same thing and so aren't really interchangeable. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 09:52, March 17, 2012 (UTC)
        • While I understand your reasoning, the image I uploaded is the image as it was illustrated by the artist, digitally scanned by people at LucasFilm. The version we had previously was a scan someone took from the comic, meaning it is likely just scanned with the image proportions skewed. Now, I don't own the Visionaries comic to do a direct comparison, but I think the official version as presented on SW.com is more likely the actual image as it was drawn and presented in the comic. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 17:45, March 17, 2012 (UTC)
          • I have no idea what or why they did that over on the TCW gallery, but I can say with 100% certainty that that is not the actual image as drawn and presented in the comic. I have it directly in front of me and it's very clear that the one from the gallery has been considerably altered. I haven't a clue as to why, but it's definitely not from the comic. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 20:30, March 17, 2012 (UTC)
            • Good, you've got the comic to verify, and I do not doubt you at all. But man, now I'm curious. Did Dark Horse possibly alter the original artist rendition for the comic, or did SW.com mess with the proportions. LOL - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:25, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

Added message. Edit

The Essential Guide to Warfare image Edit

Hey JMAS; quick heads-up about your comment on File:Essential Guide to Warfare cover.jpg. The cover wasn't exactly the same. The previous image simply had "Essential Guide to Warfare", while the new version had "The Essential Guide to Warfare". A minor change, perhaps, and one we puzzled over in IRC trying to determine the exact nature of the change, but the upload was indeed correct. We figured that someone would upload a higher quality version at a later stage. - Cavalier OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 09:34, April 4, 2012 (UTC)

DL-44 Edit

Didn't mean to replace your DL-44 with my DL-44 search icon. I didn't know that file name was used and I had my 'ignore any warning' off. I'll try a different blaster since your DL-44 is more higher in quality. :P JangFett (Talk) 03:47, May 7, 2012 (UTC)

1313 pics Edit

Hey, JMAS. I was just wondering why you uploaded this logo. The original file is crisper and clearer, IMO. Was there a need to upload a new one?—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 23:52, June 1, 2012 (UTC)

  • Also, why did you upload a new version of this one? Again, IMO, the original is lighter, clearer, and crisper.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 23:58, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
    • Quite simple really. The logo is much sharper and higher resolution. Perhaps your monitor is not displaying it in is compressed thumbnail format properly. Regarding the picture of the bounty hunter, it is a higher resolution image. I hadn't really noticed that it was darker. But I have lightened it back up. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 01:27, June 2, 2012 (UTC)

Secrets of the Falcon Edit

I noticed that you posted the images by Christopher West of the Falcon and was wondering if you could please get an image scanned showing the full title of his article Secrets of the Falcon. Thanks. —GethralkinHyperwave 11:28, June 4, 2012 (UTC)

Question about uploading emails. Edit

Hi.

I want to do what NaruHina, you, and Victory93 did before me and upload some email correspondence I had with Ansel Hsiao regarding some of the artwork that specifically made it into the Essential Guide to Warfare in some way, shape or form. However, I need to ask you a few questions:

When trying to upload emails as pictures for Wookieepedia, am I supposed to use the Public Domain tag, or should I use the Copyright tag? I'm asking because I've seen both being used. Also, when I do upload it, should I cite the source as being my own email or the email of the guy I was asking? Again, I've seen both variations, and I want to make sure I do it perfectly so as to not have them deleted for accidentially doing something wrong. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 03:32, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

  • I'd say, if you find an image I uploaded from an email correspondence, just use the same format, and tags I used in my upload. I honestly don't remember what tags I used. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 04:41, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
    • In your case, you used the copyright tag, as well as your own email address with your correspondence that dealt with the Bib Fortuna-like character who actually did turn out to be Fortuna. However, in the case of the Jason Fry emails and the Karen Miller emails by Victory93 and NaruHina, respectively, they used the Public Domain tags as well as the responder's email. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 10:28, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
      • There is the side that says, you should block out the email address of the individual you are corresponding with. But, at the same time, if the email was used to send to the individual, it must be publicly available online somewhere. Honestly, I think either tag is fine. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:26, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

135 preview cover. Edit

Hi.

I was wondering how I'm supposed to properly implement the preview cover for Insider 135? Weedle McHairybug (talk) 23:04, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

  • Look at the page, and you'll see. :) - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:11, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

Query Edit

Hello, JMAS. In Yuthura Ban's article, the source list says she appears on a card from The Shadow Syndicate line, known as Know Victory. Does the card actually confirm that Ban is the character?—Jedi Kasra ("Indeed.") 00:08, August 3, 2012 (UTC)

  • The quote of the card is attributed to her, so she is named on the card. It is the quote that is in the "Uthar Wynn's apprentice" section of her article. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 03:39, August 3, 2012 (UTC)

TCW screenshots Edit

Hey JMAS. Quick question: how are you getting the HD screenshots for TCW? I can't screenshot the episodes through iTunes or DVDs (working on a Mac), and it makes for poor quality anyway. Just wanted to make it easier for you, so I don't have to keep bugging you about the many screenshots that I often need. :P CC7567 (talk) 07:31, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

  • Well, I've just got the HD TV grabs (in widescreen 1280x544 when available) that I'd get a day or so after each episode released. I use VLC media player to get the screencaps. Back when I had Win Xp machine, and an older version of VLC, it let me capture JPG files. Now that I have a HD monitor, a new machine running Win 7 Ultimate and the latest version of VLC, I'm able to regrab some of the old shots I grabbed before in much better quality. Funny thing is, for some reason, I cannot get screencaps in JPG anymore. Only PNG works, but all the screenshots I've taken have been much better quality. I don't mind requests at all though, so don't feel like you're bugging me to ask. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 07:38, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
    • Ah, okay. That's what I thought, except the HD ones I find always have the CN watermark. Are they from MF.com, or another site? CC7567 (talk) 07:42, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
      • Torrents. I used to use BTJunkie, but they've closed their doors. Not sure where I'm going to get them for Season Five. Usually, the ones I get also have the watermark. But during Season 3, and some of Season 2, there were torrents from the UK broadcasts, who transmit the show in full wide-screen and sans watermark. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 14:46, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
        • I'm weening myself off torrents, so it looks like I'll be coming to you in the future. :P Thanks for the info though. CC7567 (talk) 16:39, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Replacing duplicate/obsolete images Edit

Sure, absolutely. I'd prefer if you did the pictures in batches, but you have my permission to edit the pages for the images. Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 16:40, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks Edit

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for replacing that Kamino pic that I apparently deleted. I'm new to this, so I appreciate it. Your profile and talk page look excellent. I plan on setting mine up as my next undertaking. You're the first person I've talked to on here, so if you want to mail me back you can. I actually could use someone like you, who has read so many of the Star Wars novels. I used to have about 10 or 15 of them (which is nothing I know), but they were destroyed by water damage during the process of moving. I had the Thrawn Trilogy, Shadows of the Empire, a few Lando Calrissian books, and several others that I can't think of right now. I'm actually seriously considering attempting to put a Star Wars novel together myself. The way I'm setting it up, it could turn into a series of books. However, I still have to get the first one finished and published before that is even a possibility. If you think that you might be interested in hearing more about it, then send me a message sometime. Later...

P.S. It's also good to know that I'm not the only one who has a demon for a cat. Mine is still a kitten, but you would never know he is such a trouble-maker by looking at him. He's very loving, but man is he mischevious lol.

Screenshot requests Edit

Hey JMAS. Since "Heroes on Both Sides" seems to be next on your list for re-uploading, could you get some screenshots for me? The first one is at 13:20, the shot of the Separatist Congress. Another one is at 14:15, when the hologram Dooku is saying "The ayes have it" and raising his arm. If you're able to get any other good "group" shots of the Congress, I would really appreciate it; there's a good one at 14:05 when the senators are voting aye. Thanks in advance. CC7567 (talk) 00:59, August 13, 2012 (UTC)

  • I think I can manage that. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 01:07, August 13, 2012 (UTC)
    • For whatever reason, the times on my player aren't matching up to the scene's your posting about. The one with Dooku is easy enough. But the one you say is at 13:20, is it the far out shot of the congress, immediately after showing the exterior of the building? - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 01:25, August 13, 2012 (UTC)
      • Yeah, the one that's a bit diagonally framed, right after that exterior shot. The 14:05 "ayes" shot that I was talking about was right after Dooku finishes speaking ("say aye"). CC7567 (talk) 01:53, August 13, 2012 (UTC)
        • Thanks as always. CC7567 (talk) 06:19, August 13, 2012 (UTC)

Halle Burtoni Edit

HalleBurtoni-POP

Hey JMAS, I was wondering if you could re-upload the headshot of Halle Burtoni from "Pursuit of Peace" that was placed as her infobox image a while back. I'm planning on starting work on her article either this week or next week, and was hoping to get a few images of her. If it helps, the file name was File:HalleBurtoni-POP.jpg. Thanks! ScreenshotsEdit

What Program is the best for getting screenshots. I use VLC Media player and the images turn out fine but just under the resolution requirement. How can I get higher resolution pictures? Matt Seay (talk) 23:54, August 14, 2012 (UTC)

  • I also use VLC media player. If the resolution of the video file you are viewing is below standard, then there isn't really anything you can do to improve that. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:04, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • I am trying to get screenshots from The Clone Wars but they are just under the resolution requirement. They should be high enough. Matt Seay (talk) 00:07, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
Ambush
Palp
      • When you are playing a video file in the player, go to Video > Zoom and make sure it is set on "1.1 Original" then go to Video > Ratio and make sure it is set on "Default." If you have it set that way, and the screenshots are out the way they are when you are pressing "Take a snapshot" then a) the video file is enlarged from its original resolution, making for a poor quality video file. b) the video file is corrupted. c) there is something in your VLC media player settings that is messing up the screenshots. If the answer is C, then unfortunately, I'm not sure what else to suggest. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:14, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
        • I don't know, I have tried everything. If I am capturing the DVD and I am using the same program. Maybe I need a newer version, idk. Here are a couple test Images I did. Matt Seay (talk) 00:24, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
          • There's the problem. If you are capturing from a DVD, the native resolution of DVD is 720x406. Any larger than that and the image will be of very poor quality. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:51, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
  • Do you get your screenshots from Blu-Rays or something? Matt Seay (talk) 01:34, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • Some. Some are from HD recordings of the TV show. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 01:37, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
  • All I have are the DVD's, I have the Blu-Rays of the movies, but Clone Wars I only have DVDs of. The picture, Providence-classcommandship (Battle of Sullust).png is 675 × 360 and I can not use any of my 835 x 363 images? Just saying Matt Seay (talk) 01:47, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • It has nothing to do with the final dimensions of the image file. It has to do with the native resolution of the image. Your 835x363 images are blown up, stretched beyond the native 720x406 resolution of a DVD. My image started out as a screenshot from a 1280x544 HD broadcast of the episode. It was simply cropped down to 675x360 to focus on the subject matter. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 01:56, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
  • Okay, so if I understand you correctly, If I do not alter the image in any way after I capture it, then it will be acceptable, is that right? Matt Seay (talk) 01:58, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • Not necessarily. If you capture an image and it's dimensions are anything larger than 720x406, then no, they are no acceptable because they will be stretched out of proportion. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:00, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
  • I just captured a screenshot of Grievous that was 720 x 415. I know its just a little too big but I think it has something to do with my settings. I am working on it. Thanks for your help btw. Matt Seay (talk) 02:06, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Infobox image request Edit

Hey JMAS, how are you? Could you enlarge and crop this image of CC-8826 for the infobox? Thanks in advance.—Jedi Kasra ("Indeed.") 01:32, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

  • Enlarge, no. There is no larger source image. But crop down to infoboxish proportions, sure thing. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 03:31, August 21, 2012 (UTC)
    • Thanks for you help, JMAS.—Jedi Kasra ("Indeed.") 04:14, August 21, 2012 (UTC)
      • No problem at all. Glad to help. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 04:20, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

Padawan Lost Edit

Hey JMAS. Had two screenshot requests from "Padawan Lost." The first one is at 4:28 in iTunes, at the Separatist outpost during the Battle of Felucia, after Plo Koon has just cut down a battle droid and Rex is aiming his blasters upward. It's right after Koon jumps to the right on the screen, and the shot follows him. The second one is at 8:47 or around there, in the first "morning" shot of Felucia when Skywalker, Koon, and the clones are preparing to leave in a gunship. If there are any other good battle shots that you can grab, that would be helpful too, but there doesn't seem to be a lot. Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 23:41, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

  • For the first shot, do you want the one immediately after the scene jumps from Anakin cutting down the tactical droid, showing Koon poised, or a little later showing Koon and Anakin both? -
    • Your 3B one was what I was looking for, as was Morning After #1. I'll try to find places for the other ones, though. Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 05:35, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

Shoto Edit

There was nothing wrong with that image or any of the images in that article. That image could be in the dual lightsaber article, however. I don't know why valid images should be replaced. JangFett (Talk) 00:51, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

  • It was in the dual lightsaber until you removed it. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:54, August 23, 2012 (UTC)
    • Due to the fact that a canonical image was in the bts. There was no room for it when I pushed the images up. This is not being biased toward TCW. There is another TCW image in that article as well. JangFett (Talk) 00:57, August 23, 2012 (UTC)
      • As a matter of fact, I just saw your message on my dust collected workbench and I will probably use the image. JangFett (Talk) 18:24, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

Mak Plain in "Slaves" Edit

Hey JMAS, I was wondering if I could hit you up for another image. This time, I was wondering if you could get a shot of Mak Plain on Zygerria in "Slaves of the Republic". He's there on the planet when Anakin, Obi-Wan, Rex, and Ahsoka leave their ship and are heading into the city. He's in the background, so if you could get a close crop of him and the woman he's talking to, that would be fantastic. Thanks a bundle. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 22:34, August 28, 2012 (UTC)

  • Just wanted to check in to see if you noticed this message. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 18:52, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
    • Yeah, I did. I got a new external HD and all my SW stuff got moved from one drive to another. I thought my Season Four vids got lost in the shuffle, but I found everything recently. Once I'm done with "Lightsaber Lost" replacement screencaps, I'll get to work on this one. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 21:42, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
      • Thanks much, JMAS. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 22:19, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
        • Are you sure it's Mak Plain and not Nix Card, who is seen later in the episode during the auction? - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:06, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
        • After finally seeing where you're talking about, it could be Mak Plain, but is that confirmed? Nix Card is confirmed in the episode guide trivia section, but he's wearing a hat and is seen during the auction. Also, whatever screenshot I get of him is going to be pretty blurry. It's a motion shot, and he's in the background, so he's never in focus. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:14, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
        • Alright, uploaded and added to his P&T section. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:29, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
        • Thanks JMAS! Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 23:34, September 3, 2012 (UTC)

JW Edit

Hey, JMAS. Do you do OT screen grabs? I can't remember. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 00:50, August 30, 2012 (UTC)

  • I do not yet have them prepped to get screengrabs from my BluRays. I think Culator is the best option for OT or PT screengrabs at present. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 03:24, August 30, 2012 (UTC)
    • Not even from DVDs? I'm not picky for what I'm looking for. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 04:45, August 30, 2012 (UTC)
      • I'll have to see if my DVD's are still accessible or in storage. But I'll definitely get you something. What shot do you need? - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:42, August 30, 2012 (UTC)
        • The panned out version of this (but not to replace that image). It's the scene in which Han Solo tells Tigran Jamiro that he'll see them all in hell as he rides off to look for Luke. IIRC, the shot should show Han, Jamiro, and Webb there. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 22:56, August 30, 2012 (UTC)
          • Just giving you a head's up. I haven't forgotten about this request. All I have access too right now is my Bluray copies of the films, and for some reason, I get get those to play in the one program I have that can take screenshots. I'm still going through storage trying to find my DVD copies, which I know will play. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:36, September 16, 2012 (UTC)

Lawise images Edit

Hey JMAS, got an image request for you. It's of Voe Atell and Bec Lawise in "A Friend in Need," at 1:49 (well, for me with iTunes). It's just as Atell stands up and begins to say to Satine, "We would ask you to respect that we deal with this matter ourselves." Also, if you can get any other good shots of Lawise from the episode, I would appreciate it, though there don't seem to be many good shots (or shots, period) of him. Thanks in advance. CC7567 (talk) 18:26, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Hey JMAS. Just wanted to make sure you saw this; you might have missed it. No rush—whenever you have some free time is fine. CC7567 (talk) 22:47, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
    • I had seen it, and subsequently completely spaced on it. Let me see what I can do before I jump into getting screenshots from "Jedi Crash." - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:49, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
      • Somehow, all my HD recordings got corrupted when I moved them from ext hard drive to another, so I had to require them. Got them now, and will work on that screenshot today. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:42, September 27, 2012 (UTC)
        • Here is the image you requested, and an extra one of Lawise requested that they continue the conference after the interruption. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:18, September 27, 2012 (UTC)

Image re-upload Edit

Hey there. First of, it's good to see you replacing JPEGs with PNGs as far as TCW goes. But could you reupload your Rising Malevolence pictures? They seem to have been cropped 8 pixels height. Not that it's that important if you don't have the time.

Thanks in advance. Alexrd (talk) 18:09, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • I had to crop them that way. For some reason, for that one episode only, when ripped from the BluRay, it left a 1 pixel black line at the top and 7 pixels at the bottom that had to be cropped away Hence why they are are cropped to 808px instead of 816px. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 18:16, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

Image policy Edit

Hi, I'm Jeyo. Although you aren't an admin, you seem to have a lot of experience here. I'm wondering if there are any policies about uploading pictures, as nearly every single one I've uploaded has been deleted. Thanks, Jeyo (talk) 20:14, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • The instructions are right on the Upload page. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 21:08, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
    • Thanks. The reason I did not follow the instructions with my previous images was because I uploaded the images while editing a page and not by using the upload page. Jeyo (talk) 00:45, September 19, 2012 (UTC)

Image deletion Edit

Why have you deleted the image I've uploaded when I explained here the advantage over the other?

Thanks in advance. Alexrd (talk) 17:08, September 23, 2012 (UTC)

  • I was looking at them full size, and I saw no advantage of the PNG version you uploaded over the JPG version from the sw.com. That's why I marked the PNG for deletion, I saw no reason to replace the perfectly fine JPG image. However, I wasn't considering the effects on thumbnails of the images, and didn't even know there was a viewing difference between the full size (no difference) and when viewed as a thumbnail (where you state there is a difference). - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:50, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
    • The main (and probably only) difference is that as thumbnails, PNGs show no artifacts, unlike JPGs which are compressed by default. That's why I've converted it in the first place, since the original frame in the episode is different. Alexrd (talk) 11:20, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
      • Go ahead and please re-upload the PNG then. But I'd suggest marking the JPG version with the {{Ifd}} tag, not just the {{PNGNowAvailable}} one, and please change the image in all the pages the JPG one is currently used in. Did you just take the image from SW.com and use a converter to change it to PNG? I tried to grab a screenshot of it, and because it's a moving shot, during a fight scene, there was no way to get a "still" shot that wasn't blurry. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 14:38, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
        • I tried to take a screenshot aswell, but got the exact same problem you did. Yes, I took it from the official site, removed the black bars and saved as PNG on photoshop. Thanks. Alexrd (talk) 18:44, September 24, 2012 (UTC)

"Plan of Dissent" images Edit

Hey JMAS—got two more image requests for you, from "Plan of Dissent." The first one is around 15:19, of the massive space battle over Umbara. Any images of the space battle would be useful, actually, as long as they have the Unidentified Separatist supply ship (it's usually in the upper middle background in most battle shots). The second one is around 17:33, of the two B1 battle droids and the Unidentified T-series tactical droid (Umbara) on the bridge of the supply ship, right before the shot switches to the red blinking button. Thanks in advance. CC7567 (talk) 21:33, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Source inquiry Edit

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the majority of my collection at the moment, and I won't for another several months. One of the few places I can point you to is Cham Syndulla's Sources list, as the girl might appear in some of them, but I don't think I'll be able to physically check any of the publications for you. At a glance, the article (for example, the 22 BBY date) can't be entirely sourced to the episode. Hope that helps. CC7567 (talk) 00:50, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

  • That's good. Appreciate the tips. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 03:21, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

As you from a site StarWars.com take background images they are protected from copying?

Finn Ertay Edit

Hey JMAS. Would you be able to grab a better infobox image for Finn Ertay from either "Grievous Intrigue," "Wookiee Hunt," or "Revival"? Those are the only three episodes she's appeared in, but the frames of her aren't that great in any of them. "Revival" might have the best shots of her, but I'm not sure if they'll be better than the current infobox image. Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 18:57, October 24, 2012 (UTC)

  • Hey man, any word? Just wanted to check up on this. Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 19:34, November 2, 2012 (UTC)

          • Thanks. I'm going to go with the one from "Grievous Intrigue." CC7567 (talk) 22:22, November 11, 2012 (UTC)

Hardon Edit

Go ahead and change it to whatever you want man. Also, I do not think that I gave you permission to edit in any of my workbenches except the first one. It is kind of annoying to see others edit in them. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 14:36, November 14, 2012 (UTC)

  • The evil Hard on image (the orange-red hue background) could also be used somewhere in the article. I don't mind it. :P JangFett (Talk) 17:38, November 29, 2012 (UTC)
    • Hey JMAS, is there anyway that you could find another shoto image (just a shoto) and put it in the infobox of the shoto article? Currently this new user is changing the infobox and article and the thought occurred to me. Most of our shoto images just show a shoto in use and does not really show a shoto by itself. Yoda's came close and the shoto is directly in front. The lightsaber article has a bunch of lightsabers together in the infobox, and perhaps we could fine a similiar image for the shoto article. What do you think? I am sure the infobox image will be put to a vote. Thanks. JangFett (Talk) 15:02, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
      • Let me see what I can find for the shoto article. A concern with showing only a hilt is might be difficult to show the difference of shoto hilt and a standard hilt with out the shorter ignited blade. Regarding the Hardcase image, are you meaning the closeup headshot one right before he goes kablooie? I don't want to overload any section with too many images. Did you have an idea where it would work better in the article? P&T perhaps? - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:15, December 1, 2012 (UTC)
        • Ok thanks. And I think there's enough images at the moment for Hardon. JangFett (Talk) 14:40, December 13, 2012 (UTC)

White vs. gray backgrounds Edit

Hey, JMAS, do you know how to make images like File:DerrownTheParwan-SWE.jpg appear with a white background instead of a gray one? I suspect it's a problem with my browser or Monobook settings, not with the image itself. But the white background is much more aesthetically pleasing than the gray one in my opinion. Any ideas? ~SavageBOB sig 18:47, December 4, 2012 (UTC)

  • I can take the PNG image from his Encyclopedia entry and put it on a white BG, but it'll be a little smaller than the current one from Trivia gallery of the episode. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:06, December 4, 2012 (UTC)
    • Done. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:14, December 4, 2012 (UTC)
      • Ah, OK -- so it is a property of the image itself. Feel free to upload them however you see fit. White is just my personal preference since it matches the background of the Monobook skin. But thanks for the change! ~SavageBOB sig 13:40, December 5, 2012 (UTC)
        • In this case, yes, the JPG image had a gray background, and appeared that way to everyone, no matter the browser or wikia skin. The only reason I uploaded that one instead of the one from the Encyclopedia, was because it was a big bigger. But it wasn't that much bigger, and honestly, the PNG version in there now is excellent quality and when displayed as a thumbnail, will show better than the JPG image. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:57, December 5, 2012 (UTC)

Picture of Atton Rand Edit

Hi JMAS (sorry for my bad english, I'm french...) !

It was just to point out that the picture of Atton Rand that you removed from his page was official because it is in my book Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide: Special Edition, and it's made by the same artist like this picture Atrisart.jpg that you've uploaded 5 years ago.

You still support it's not official ? (sorry for the double post...)

Maguinic (talk) 20:44, December 13, 2012 (UTC)

  • Then you need to properly source it. You can leave the current source, as to where you found that image specifically, but you also need to source it to the officially licensed source you mentioned here. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 03:44, December 14, 2012 (UTC)

Kharrus images Edit

Hey JMAS. Happy Holidays! I was wondering if you could get some images of Kharrus for me. The first one is from the TCW film, about 29 minutes in, right after the scene when Jabba is presented with the heads of the decapitated bounty hunters. Kharrus and Onaconda Farr are with Palpatine when Jabba contacts them. It would be great if you could get the shot when we see the hologram of Jabba and TC-70, with Palpatine, Kharrus, and Farr's backs turned to the screen. There are also two from "The Gungan General": the first is about three to four minutes in, when Kharrus and Binks are speaking with the hologram of Palpatine at his desk and Padmé. The second is at about 4:16, when Kharrus and Stone are already in their seats and Binks is trying to get into his. Thanks in advance. CC7567 (talk) 23:53, December 25, 2012 (UTC)

  • Hey JMAS, just wanted to make sure you didn't forget about this. Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 03:09, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

      • Yeah, I'm sorry, the holidays and other stuff has kept me unable to be as active on here lately. I'll try to get these for you soon. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:30, January 14, 2013 (UTC)

My Aleen image replaced? Edit

Hello there!

Just asking out of curiousity...

OK, I upload not as often as you do but what was the need to replace my image of Aleen with an identical one? The quality and version is almost the same. The only difference is that you left less space in the image. Why?

I mean the last image you choce for Aleen was that image with the sunrise over the planet. You could have just asked me to crop my image and update. Or do you have other reason... --Dangrievous (talk) 14:37, December 26, 2012 (UTC)

  • There wasn't anything wrong with yours. I just replaced it with a PNG screen capture from a 1080p blu-ray source. PNG displays higher quality (no artifacts) than JPG when thumbnailed such as they are in the infobox. It was also a closer crop. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 19:14, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
    • Super. Understood. PNGs are better... will use that format in the future. Thanks for the reply. Cheers and Happy Holidays! --Dangrievous (talk) 19:46, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
      • And if I ever do overwrite, or replace one of your images, it doesn't mean yours is bad. It may just be that I have one in a little higher resolution, or slightly different crop. If it's something I'm easily able to do myself, I generally do. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me!

DevaronEdit

Hi JMAS. When you have the time, could you retouch these two images? I've tried myself to make the background white, to no avail. It always takes away some of the texture from the object. Stake black msg 05:12, January 17, 2013 (UTC)

Colour Correction Edit

Hey there,

I see you are replacing TPM screenshots for full resolution versions. I just want to let you know that if you see me replacing any of yours, it's just for colour/contrast correction purposes, nothing more.

Thanks in advance. Alexrd (talk) 13:09, January 18, 2013 (UTC)

AotC screenshots Edit

Hello again, I don't know if you noticed, but the Blu-ray of AotC suffers from DNR, some edge enhancement and a very innacurate teal-ish colour timing. I've been avoiding using it as a good source for replacing pictures and opted for the HDTV version (better color timing, and more detail present), although it has slightly lower resolution (720p). What do you think? Alexrd (talk) 12:18, January 20, 2013 (UTC)

  • If I can get a shot to match the color from one you've uploaded, then I'll do the 1080 upload. If not, I'll leave them be. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 05:03, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
    • I haven't uploaded that many from AotC because I wasn't sure what would be the best thing to do. I've tried to get the correct colour timing, but it's not easy (unlike TPM and the OT). There is always a shade of teal present.

For example, on this shot, you can see edge enhancement on Dooku's head, and DNR on the red (almost pink/purple now) glow from the lightsaber (you can't see past it). The exterior shots of Kamino are now green-ish instead of blue/grey, same thing with the Senate, etc... Alexrd (talk) 12:20, January 21, 2013 (UTC)

  • Wow. I would never have caught that that "border" around Dooku's head on that shot. Please, go ahead and reupload yours over mine. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 20:26, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
    • Sorry if I sound nitpicky with all of this, it's not my intention. Alexrd (talk) 22:02, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
      • I'll be honest, I think trying to adjust some of the colors to be more "real" shouldn't be a main goal. This is in another galaxy, it's Sci Fi, so some of the colors being a little "off" I think is normal and intended as being otherwordly. However, in the AOTC shots, I completely see you point. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 22:06, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
        • You're right, it's not a main goal. I understand that they use some color filters in TPM (and the rest) to set the mood of a certain scene. I just remove them to give a more accurate look (as seen in promotional photos and the like) of a building, location, or character for the wiki. As you noticed, AotC is a different matter. You can even see the differences with the screenshots on the official site. It seems they got something wrong when they encoded the disc, because the small clips from the movie seen in the extras show its original color timing (the same one as DVD and HDTV versions). Alexrd (talk) 22:21, January 21, 2013 (UTC)

I'm trying to clean up images without source or licensing information and came across this. You uploaded it two years ago, but failed to provide any information about it at all, including the critical source and licensing. Could you rectify this when you get a chance, please? —MJ— Council Chambers 20:16, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering if you would be able to upload some images from The Clone Wars Season 4, episode 14, A Friend in Need. I need an image of Ahsoka fighting the Death Watch in the village, preferably while she is knocking out the two warriors around 15:36. Also an image of Ahsoka fighting Bo-Katan on top of the speeder, after she gets back on top of it, before Bo-Katan is knocked off. They're for the article "First Skirmish on Carlac. Thanks plenty. Help Edit

Hi JMAS, I have a service to ask you, because you're a native speaker of English, not me. Can you confirm me that I didn't make errors on the page of Aayla Secura, at the paragraph dealing with the Siege of Saleucami please? Thank you in advance! Maguinic (talk) 16:34, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Blu-ray pics Edit

Hey JMAS. I see that you're well on your way to replace lower quality movie pictures with new ones: thank you very much for that! While you're at it, would you consider uploading new versions of File:Interrupt Bail Organa.png and File:DarkSpirit-ESB.png? Not too sure the latter is to stay, but I would still come in handy. Thanks in advance. --LelalMekha (talk) 00:14, February 7, 2013 (UTC)

  • I don't have TESB converted yet for screenshots. But once I do, I can do that for you no problem. The Bail Organa one is from AOTC and the blue-ray for that one prequel has a really odd color scheme and other "enhancements" that make the HD version that were shown on TV a few years ago better for screenshots. I'd ask Alexrd on the Bail Organa one, as he's got those HD TV versions accessible. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:23, February 7, 2013 (UTC)
    • Now that was a quick answer. ;-) Thank you anyway, I'll ask Alexrd for Bail Organa. As regards the Dark Spirit, we're absolutely not in a hurry, so just take your time. Regards. --LelalMekha (talk) 00:26, February 7, 2013 (UTC)
      • I'll have TESB ripped soon. Now I was planning to start replacing screenshots in movie order with ANH, but since this request came a while ago, I'll work on the Dark Spirit one in the next day or so. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 13:25, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

Aldera lake in ROTS Edit

Hey JMAS. While youre at uploading high quality pics from ROTS, could you provide me with one that looks like this one? It would come in handy for the Aldera lake article. Regards. --LelalMekha (talk) 03:58, February 15, 2013 (UTC)

  • Thank you very much. ;-) --LelalMekha (talk) 04:21, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
    • No problem at all. Happy to help. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 04:25, February 15, 2013 (UTC)

QuestionEdit

Hello JMAS! I was wondering if you could get an image(s) of the Separatists (Whorm Loathsom, Poggle, etc.) on the view screen of the Republic military base in the episode "The Jedi Who Knew Too Much"—mainly for an image for this article and I don't know how to get a good enough zoom on the view screen. Thanks a lot!--Darth Pythonis CIS roundel (Talk) 04:02, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

Weeba Weeba imageEdit

Hi JMAS, this particular image I've had archived in a folder of images from the old starwars.com site that I managed to grab before it went down. I've had it archived for a number of years now (from around the time that the prequel movies were still in production). I no longer know exactly which page or if it was even grabbed by archive.org and it's the only production photo I can find of this particular character. What would you suggest I do in this case? Rokkur Shen (talk) 04:42, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

  • Then I would suggest in the "Attention" spot for the image you state that image was saved from prior to the 2011 site revamp and you no longer know the specific URL. It may still get deleted for lacking a direct link, but that is about the best you can do. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 04:44, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

Image request Edit

Hello JMAS, can you upload an image for this stormtrooper, who was shot by Leia before Luke and Leia did their chasm swing in ANH? Thanks in advance. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 04:46, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

  • Done. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 05:25, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
    • Eventually he will be worked on and brought to GA status to make all three of them GAs. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 05:40, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
      • If you give me links to all three of their articles, I'll get Blu-Ray screencaps for all of em. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 05:41, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
        • TK-119 and TK-875. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 05:45, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
          • Another request: do you think Morts Werl could undergo a Blu-Ray screencap? Oh, and because you have Blu-Ray, would you have watched Classic Creatures: Return of the Jedi? Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 06:12, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
            • I actually haven't watched any of the special features discs yet. But I plan to. I'll give it a Werl *hahaha* for Morts Werl, though as a minor BG character, I don't know that I'll be able to do much better. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 13:23, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

Image request (non-urgent) Edit

Hi JMAS, if you get a chance could you upload some full-frame screenshots from Return of the Jedi? Specifically, scenes from Jabba's throneroom that show Nysad, Wooof, Giran or any other Nikto? Don't mind if it's a hand, leg, half a head, partially obscured body-shot, etc. Anything would be a great help. I'm looking to add images to BTS material to prove they were in the throne room and not only aboard the Khetanna. Many thanks. Rokkur Shen (talk) 09:19, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

  • I'll get there. I'll be working on ANH first, then TESB and then ROTJ. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 13:20, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
    • Hehe, no worries! Guess I'm lucky I stated: "non-urgent". Thanks! :)

Re:Unused Images Edit

Thanks for the warning on the policy of unused images. Oh, and by the way, is there a way you can upload an image of the Separatists, with the tactical droid, on the viewscreen of the Republic military base from the The Clone Wars episode "The Jedi Who Knew Too Much" for an article. Darth Pythonis CIS roundel (Talk) 06:46, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

  • I don't actually have that episode available to grab a screenshot as yet. But once I do, you got it. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:09, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

Ketwol FTBR request Edit

You asked for File:Ketwol111.png to be moved to avoid a collision with File:Ketwol111.jpg. Can you explain to me why it would not be better to simply replace the JPG with the PNG and delete the JPG as obsolete, which would render the FTBR request moot? I'd prefer not to move images without a good reason, and in this case it seems that it would be preferable to delete the JPG rather than move the PNG file. —MJ— Training Room 00:39, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

  • I almost did mark the JPG version for deletion. The PNG version is better for the infobox for Ketwol. But the smaller JPG image does show his full head, which I thought should stay for use in the Pacithhip article. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:45, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

Hello! You add a very good and quality photos. You could add a good photo to this page? Thanks in advance. Морфеус (talk) 19:16, February 27, 2013 (UTC)

Greedo?Edit

Hi JMAS, I don't think that this image--File:Greedo-hd.png--is actually Greedo. It's hard to tell from the image itself but when watching the scene in full it appears that this Rodian is not wearing Greedo's tan vest. It may be simply an error due to the reshoots or may in fact be one of the other Rodians present in the cantina at the time. I remember this being brought up somewhere else but don't remember specifically where unfortunately. Rokkur Shen (talk) 06:06, March 2, 2013 (UTC)

  • It is Greedo. It is likely a production error and IU, he just took his vest off. But this scene makes it fairly clear that he is watching the exchange between Obi-Wan and Chewbacca. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 07:41, March 2, 2013 (UTC)
    • Believe me when I say that I too, wish it to be Greedo for continuity's sake. It is logical that it was intended to be Greedo and definitely enhances the scene if it is. Just don't know whether it has been canonically mentioned (maybe the scene was described in the novel? - I don't own it...) or whether we need to address it in the article's BTS as a continuity error. Rokkur Shen (talk) 09:41, March 2, 2013 (UTC)
      • I'd recommend bring it up on the articles talk page, or in the Senate Hall. Get other input from other Wookieepedians. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 21:59, March 2, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Droid Edit

As far as I know, it's a new model; I haven't seen it before, and I haven't come across it being named in any sources yet. CC7567 (talk) 01:29, March 9, 2013 (UTC)

  • That's kinda what I thought too. Gonna make an article for it then. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:58, March 9, 2013 (UTC)

Duron Veertag in ANH Edit

Hello JMAS, may I request you to change Duron Veertag's infobox pic to a shot of the ANH film character retconned to be him? The Dutch website has a blurry photo, and unfortunately it's my understanding we never get a very good view of him in the film itself. In any case, thanks in advance. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 17:37, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

  • I just watched through the entire ceremony scene, and there is no image of him except a couple shots and the focus is on Leia, not him, so you can see nothing more than a blur. And in the group ship after Luke and Han turn around with their medals on, he is directly behind Luke. Sorry. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 03:01, March 18, 2013 (UTC)

MAGL Edit

Hi JMAS. Do you still own Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas? I have a digital copy, but the scan is really bad for the segment The Seminar Participants (it crops out some of the text). Is yours any better? If so, could you please upload a screenshot of the page? I'm working on several MAGL articles and this would be crucial. Thanks. Stake black msg 00:08, March 24, 2013 (UTC)

  • Several of my more obscure books, like that one, might be in storage, which translates to: very difficult to get my hands on right now. But I'll check and let you know. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:03, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
  • OK, good news is, I found it. I'm not willing to risk damage to the book to get scans. The dimensions of the book/pages are larger than my scanner so it'll take some creative scanning. I'll see what I can do to get you those pages. They may be chopped up though. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:14, March 24, 2013 (UTC)

        • Thanks! Another thing: in the segment "Aliens Kidnapped by Humans!" there is a small text sideways that reads "The Galactic Gossip August x xxxx". What's after August? Cheers. Stake black msg 23:56, March 27, 2013 (UTC)
          • Sorry for the delay, I didn't "do anything" with the book quickly enough, so it got re-packed away. So now I get to go dig through our book storage boxes in the garage. • Funny you should ask. Yes, then no, then yes, then no, and now soon to be yes again. Let's see you're profile says born in '91, so I'll guess you don't have kids. Well, I had the book. Then it got put away by my wife when she thought I was done with it. I dug it back out. Then my daughter, while helping me clean around my desk, picked it up and put it in a pile to go to our storage room at my father's house. I'll have it again from there by weeks end. So by this weekend, you I should have the transcription of what you're looking for. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 04:16, April 30, 2013 (UTC)

Better image of Duron Veertag Edit

Hello JMAS, is it possible to get a better image of Duron Veertag from the comic (his current infobox pic), which among other things also crops out the text in the speech bubble? Thanks in advance. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 15:31, April 11, 2013 (UTC)

  • You must have missed when I answered this last time you asked. I watched through the entire ceremony scene several times, and there is no image of him except a couple shots and the focus is on Leia, not him, so you can see nothing more than a blur. And in the group shot after Luke and Han turn around with their medals on, he is directly behind Luke. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 04:35, April 12, 2013 (UTC)
    • Actually I was asking about the image of him from the comic, not the film. Cav made an objection on my nom saying the image of him from the comic needs to be replaced by a better quality shot, also without the text in the speech bubble. I already read the answer about the film. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 15:37, April 12, 2013 (UTC)
      • *facepalm* Doh. My mistake. Let me see if I have access to that. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 06:05, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

Lost Twenty bronzium busts Edit

Hello JMAS. I wondered if you could provide the Wook with higher resolution pictures for the Lost Twenty article. According to Pablo Helman on the Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones DVD Commentary, the busts shown in the archives included effigies of himself, George Lucas, Rob Coleman, and John Knoll. If we look at the picture named File:LeftSideBusts.jpg, it seems that two of the busts on the left-side are very Human-looking (one of them even seems to sport Helman's haircut). Perhaps with a higher quality shot we'll have tiny bit clearer look at them. Cheers. --LelalMekha (talk) 13:21, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

Nho'Apakk in ROTJ Edit

Hey, JMAS! I noticed you going around and replacing DVD images from the saga with Blu-Ray versions. I recently found a site where I guy identified where the Ewok Nho'Apakk is in ROTJ. You can see his images here. Wikia won't let me link the actual images, since they're hosted on Imageshack, but it's the image in Post #1733 with the Ewok with the blue-green hood whose back is to the camera. In the second picture (in post #1735) he's the Ewok holding the rope who's closest to the camera. I was going to add the second image to the article as Nho'Apakk's new infobox pic (since the toy portrait pic is really another Ewok repainted to save money). But if you have the Blu-Ray, is it a huge hassle to get the Blu-Ray version of that still? There may be a clearer one from the same scene; the idea is just to get Nho'Apakk from the movie rather than the toy card back. It it's too much hassle, let me know. I'll just add the DVD still instead. Thanks! ~SavageBOB sig 17:12, April 27, 2013 (UTC)

  • Here, I'm going to try to fool Wikia's system: http://img713.imageshuck.us/img713/5694/muffybluegreenstripeewo.jpg is the image in question. Just replace "imageshuck" with "imageshack." ~SavageBOB sig 17:15, April 27, 2013 (UTC)

"A War on Two Fronts" image request Edit

Hey JMAS, hope all's well. I had a request for a screenshot from "A War on Two Fronts." It's around 8:09 (at least in my iTunes version), during the training session involving the Armored Assault Tank. It's right after Rex has jumped onto the main gun of the AAT; he is currently squatting on the cannon, just before he runs forward and then tosses an EMP grenade into the top hatch. Thanks in advance. CC7567 (talk) 02:12, May 6, 2013 (UTC)

  • Any word on this? Just want to make sure you don't forget again. :P Thanks again. CC7567 (talk) 02:59, May 8, 2013 (UTC)

About pictures Edit

Hi JMAS. I have a question: I don't understand in what way images from the movies are better than artworks or drawings (as well officials), especially since they are already used by several pages. So, normally, if one of these images is used by another page, I don't see why the fact to change that image by an artwork is a problem. If I replace them, it's for a little variety and to enlarge the database of images of the Wiki. And rather than remove the pictures that I post on one page, you could move them to others to be more constructive. I say that because I don't find it motivating to see that everything I do is whenever overhauled. Thank you to respond ;) Maguinic (talk) 15:48, May 16, 2013 (UTC)

  • When I started out 7 years ago now, image diversity was something I very much pushed for also. It was through years of work and experience and having things reverted and learning the ropes that I've come to know how the general community does things. I don't revert all the images you place in articles. I do remove them when you place one into an article that already has too many. In the case of the Torture article, this image is much lower quality than this image and as it was the main image of a large article, the better quality image should be there. The TCG image is also of questionable canonicity given that Boba Fett was in the hallway with Lando, not in the room watching Han be tortured. Reverting an edit that removes as image you uploaded from an article, it is not my responsibility to place the image elsewhere for you into another article. That is your option to find another page for it, however, I will endeavor to do so if I can think of another place that would have room for said image. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:13, May 17, 2013 (UTC)
    • Ok, thank you for the explanation, I understand better now. I'm not member of the Wiki long enough to fully understand how it works. I will attempt to post the images on the right pages in the future, and if it doesn't fit, don't hesitate to remove the picture, I will try to post it somewhere else. Star Wars: Behind the Magic and Star Wars: Chronicles question Edit

Hello, I noticed that you have Star Wars: Behind the Magic and Star Wars: Chronicles. If you don't mind, could you see if there are any images or information in each about Yoxgit? His article says he is in Behind the Magic, but he may or may not be in Chronicles. Thank you for your time.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 01:41, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

  • Honestly, I have all the images from BTM extracted, but I don't have the CD-ROMs handy to look up information. Yoxgit main image is from BTM, though whether he is named there, or this image is identified as Yoxgit somewhere else, I can't say. I'll have to look at Chronicles to see. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:28, May 21, 2013 (UTC)

Behind the Magic Edit

Hello JMAS, I see that you also apparently own BTM. Does that source picture Cariso Smadis at all? Due to editing it's impossible to tell where he's standing, so if we don't see a closeup of his face in BTM, then it's safe to say he's not pictured, though he'd still be mentioned in the script, warranting an (Indirect mention only). Also, is the GA Chad Hilse pictured? I saw that it wasn't even part in his source list before I added it as an (Indirect mention only), but I came to realize its original nominator possibly never checked that source. Thanks in advance.
