Talk pages
Edit
- Hey, thanks for your efforts on Talk:Aayla Secura. At the present moment, though, we don't typically remove comments unless it's really vandalism. Such as typing "Lolololololol" or replacing the whole page with "AAYLA IS TEH ROXXORS" or something equally nonsensical. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 23:05, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Image deletion
Edit
The image you uploaded was of a naked Aayla Secura, and was therefore inappropriate to display on Wookieepedia. The fact that a Star Wars artist may have created it is irrelevant, truth be told. Please do not upload inappropriate images like that again, or the administration will have to delete them and take other measures. If you want to upload other Adam Hughes pictures, I'm sure he has other ones available that are not of naked characters. Thank you, Greyman@wikia(Talk) 22:33, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Dude, can I have a copy of this naked Aayla pic? put it on photobucket or something, and I'll get it from there. 203.123.89.166 08:44, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Advertisements
Edit
They can be blocked, but we have been asked not to officially publicize methods for doing so (ie. there will be no site notice or Help: or Wookieepedia: pages explaining how). Unofficially, you will find instructions here. If you need more assistance, the users in IRC can explain further. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 22:12, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
TFU novel spoilers
Edit
Because of your late thread, you spoiled me and at least two other people about TFU. I deleted the thread because, aside from all that, it didn't belong in the Knowledge Bank in the first place. The spoiler warning is there so that people (like myself) know to avoid certain articles. Throwing major spoilers around without warning like that is very rude and highly frowned upon. Doing so again may result in a ban. Now, as for your question: books come out early some places, or some people get them early. It happens. How do we know it's accurate? Because other people who also have the book can verify it. This has happened many times before, and it will likely happen. Now, again, please do not post a spoiler like that without proper warning. -- Ozzel 22:48, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Image quality
Edit
Stop uploading crappy images now. If you continue to abuse the upload function, your ability to upload will have to be taken away. Since we can't take it away without blocking you completely, this means that you will be blocked from editing completely. Since you've already been blocked twice, this means you'll be gone for a long time. Forever, to be precise. Thank you, and have a Wookiee-tastic day. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 02:06, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Friendly Advice
Edit
Hey, I saw your thread in the Administrator's Notice Board about Darth Culator being rude to you. FYI, I've noticed that he has a tendency to be pretty rude and/or abrasive - especially for an Admin - but he equally has a tendency to be right. He seems to walk pretty close to the line of personal attacks, but I haven't seen him cross that line myself, and unless he does, I suggest you simply ignore the way he delivers his message, but pay close attention to the message itself. If you listen to the advice he gives you, you'll ultimately be a better Wookieepedian for it. Doluk 17:50, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hey JediBob, please try and keep comments like your "OJ Simpson" one on Doluk's page to a minimum. Their are ways to highlight perceived administrative abuse—the noticeboard is one of them, as you already know—and comments like that are extremely unhelpful. If you want to complain about Culator, that is acceptable, but only if you do so via the proper channels; comments like that put you in a bad light, and while not personal attacks per se, are not too far off. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 20:15, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- I think you misunderstand the spirit of my comment; it wasn't meant to be a warning. Note that I actually asked you to refrain from making those kind of comments rather than telling you (which I have no authority to do anyway). It was essentially advice, for your own good. But the whole 'Free Speech' thing only goes so far—you can't directly insult someone on the wiki, or you will be banned. Also, this wiki is not a government and does not operate like one. Lastly, if I may deviate from topic a little bit, leaders of our country shouldn't be nice—they should do their job. It's better if they're nice and all that, but if they need to be a little bit "mean" to send a message or get something done, then so be it. Also, administrators and national leaders are not synonymous. If you don't want to heed my advice, then don't, but it will get you into trouble. There will be no need to reply. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 22:08, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- Honestly, I'd prefer to have an admin that's both fair and nice, but I'd much rather have an admin who isn't nice than an admin who isn't fair. Say what you will about him (actually, for civillity's sake it's probably better if you don't), but to my eye Darth Culator certainly seems to be fair. AdmirableAckbar's advice is good - I suggest you take it heart. It'll make your stay here more pleasant, longer, and probably more fruitful! Doluk 22:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Appearances sections
Edit
When adding something to the Appearances section of an article please put it in the right place. They should be ordered by their chronological in-universe date. Do not just tack new appearances on the end. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 00:17, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
TFU
Edit
Your knowledge bank question is answered as far as we can in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (video game)#Game Platform Differences. Wookieepedia might not be the best place to ask about technical details of video games: we tend to deal almost entirely with continuity and storyline instead. Cheers, —Silly Dan (talk) 02:25, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- I said the question was answered as far as we can: note that the article says Havok, Euphoria, and DMM are "three high-end engines only possible on the Xbox 360 and PS3." If you want more information to confirm that, you'll have to check the website for the game, or just wait for it to come out. As I said, Wookieepedia has more information on story and continuity than gameplay. —Silly Dan (talk) 02:33, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Talk pages
Edit
Sorry to harp on, but please remember that talk pages are for discussing the article, not the subject. So Talk:The Force Unleashed should be used to discuss any changes to the article, or inaccuracies or missing info, etc, and not for discussing the game itself or what might happen to the characters in it, etc. You might find this thread more useful (though it contains spoilers). -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 00:02, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Darth Talon
Edit
Heya, would you mind if I used your Darth Talon userbox on my page? Try to get back to me on my talkpage if you can. ~ Dr.Kermit 04:17, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Brilliant, thanks so much. What is it about Twi'leks that are so sexy? Dr.Kermit 02:52, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Leia's death
Edit
The story is from Tilotny Throws a Shape. I'm not sure if you can get the issue it was printed in any more, as it was a Marvel story from the early 80s. The notable thing is that the story was written by Alan Moore, author of Watchmen. - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 17:03, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
