Boba Fett Edit
Edit
Hey, I'm actually a star wars fan known as Foreborn, you most likely have never heard of me. Anyways, I was looking at the boba fett page and noticed that it is past tense; seeming to imply Boba is dead, when actually, he is alive, which is stated in the article itself. I attempted to correct this, however it says it has been locked down. Seeing you had been the last person to edit it, i assumed perhaps you had made the lockdown to prevent other people from messing it up; so I thought I'd leave a message mentioning the little mistake, just in case. Just a friendly little suggestion to add to the wookieepedia community,
~Foreborn
Hello. The "lockdown" on the article was set in place in January 2008, which means it was place well before I made my last edit on the page. The lockdown means that only registered wikia users can make an edit to the article. I believe you also need to have been registered for a least week before you can edit a "locked" page. This is in place to prevent drive-by vandalism and editing wars.
Keep in mind, however, that most Wookiepedia articles are written in past tense, simply because it is more professional since the events described in the article are not occurring as the reader is visiting them. Several other character articles are also written in past tense even though the characters are technically still alive.
Also remember that the entire Star Wars universe was "long time ago," so each article should be written in past tense. I would not attempt to re-write the entire Boba Fett article (or any article, for that matter) in present tense because the edit would most likely be reversed. Kaitco 15:41, March 5, 2010 (UTC)
Categories
Edit
Greetings. I have reverted your edits adding the category "Unknown Regions races" to various articles. The reason for this is two-fold: We use the term species rather than race for individual sentient species, and we don't put articles in categories that don't exist. --Imperialles 06:25, May 5, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not saying that a Category:Unknown Regions species would be unwelcome, but using the proper wording would be preferable. --Imperialles 06:30, May 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Great to know! Would it be better to create a category for "Unknown Regions species" and then link the relevant articles? If so, could you point me towards some instructions on best practices for category creation, as that was my next step? Thanks! Kaitco 06:32, May 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, I think I figured out how to make it work properly through a bit of trial and error. Please let me know if I'm still not on the right path for category creation. Kaitco 06:45, May 5, 2010 (UTC)
- You seem to have figured it out, good work. --Imperialles 08:12, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Sources
Edit
- For in-universe articles, like what you appear to be trying to make with Desert, you must use in-universe sources. Wikipedia and so on are not valid sources for in-universe articles. Also, please look over the manual of style, layout guide and the attribution guide. Thanks. OLIOSTER (talk) 01:12, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Hello! I noticed that the Planets article included an external link to its respective Wikipedia article. As long as I list the Wikipedia Desert article as an external link, can it still be included? Kaitco 01:33, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Of course. You can link to the Wikipedia article for desert as long as it's in the external links section. There is even a template just for this: Template:WP. OLIOSTER (talk) 01:39, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you much! I have made some edits to the Desert page and included more appropriate sources. Kaitco 01:53, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

Re:
Edit
Please do not edit in any of my workbenches without my permission. Also, yes, I began this project a year ago. Therefore, it is like an overhaul of the entire article. Thank you, JangFett (Talk) 14:46, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
- I have not edited your work bench and will not. I just wanted to be sure that an overhaul of the page was being done. Thanks! Kaitco 16:54, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks
Edit
Hey, just wanted to send a quick thanks for fixing that Bulwark redirect. I always forget to check somewhere to make sure I got them all when moving an article. Thanks again. :) Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:48, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Not a problem! Just doing my part! Kaitco 06:54, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
