Welcome to my talk page. All are welcome here. (Except trolls, who will be blocked.)

Don't ask to ask; just ask your question. That said, please take a moment to read the following notes:

  • To keep the conversation together in one place, if you leave a message here, I will reply here.
  • If I leave a message on your talk page, please reply there to prevent fragmenting the conversation. I watchlist all talk pages that I edit. If I don't reply within a couple of days, ping me here to trigger an email notification.
  • Please do not use repeat or non-descriptive headings like "Request", as these headings make the table of contents difficult to navigate, and duplicate headers complicate section linking in the event I need to link to a discussion from this page elsewhere.
  • If you are here to request information from The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, please post your request on the Forum:Entry requests page, not here.
  • Please do not engage in general chit-chat here. Wookieepedia is not a social network. If it doesn't relate to Wookieepedia or Wikia, it probably doesn't belong on this page.
  • I no longer take copy-edit requests prior to nomination from established nominators; requests from these users will be declined unless there is an active objection on the nomination page requesting a copy-edit. Novice nominators are still welcome to bring their articles here prior to nomination, especially if they are still learning the rules and/or do not have a good grasp of English. If you request a copy-edit, please read the following guidelines:
    • Start a new section for each request. This means don't place new requests under old headings. The only time there should be multiple articles under a single heading is when they are requested simultaneously.
    • Pre-nom reviews, if requested, for novice nominators will be posted on the article talk page, not here. After all, that's where discussion on improving a specific article belongs.
    • If there are multiple pending requests, articles with active objections for a copy-edit on their nomination page will have top priority. Beyond that, articles will generally be processed on a first in, first out system.
    • {{Inuse}} or similar tags on the article will be ignored unless you say otherwise. Your request here constitutes implicit permission for me to edit through said tag.
    • There is no guaranteed turnaround time. For requests based on a current objection, I will try to handle them within one week and before the nomination becomes at risk of removal for inactivity, but you should request here ASAP after the objection is made. Pre-nom requests may take up to a couple of weeks, or possibly even longer. Also see the big red notice above regarding my general activity levels.

Manning the Wookieepedia table at Celebration Anaheim Edit

Hello. This message is to inform you of new developments regarding Wookieepedia's presence at Celebration Anaheim this upcoming April. Since you had previously expressed interest in attending and manning a table if we got one, I'm passing this along to you so you're aware what's going on and can provide feedback if need be. Please check out the discussion here. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:42, November 20, 2014 (UTC)

I can't though, because I'm blocked from leaving messages on that wiki too. Please don't block me here too. Awesomekid120 (talk) 22:49, November 23, 2014 (UTC)Awesomekid120

Help with page move Edit

Hi MJ. Can you move a page for me as I am unable to complete the move myself? Please move Power pack to Power pack per naming policy. All recent sources call this "power pack" and NOT "power pak." I left more details on the article's talk page. Thanks.--Richterbelmont10 R2 sig(come in R2!) 17:58, December 6, 2014 (UTC)

  • Pardon my interruption, Jonathan: Having seen Richter's talk page explanation before but not leaving comment, I would like the point out that he provides no evidence that "all" recent sources use "power pack." He lists several recent sources, but it's still possible there are recent sources using "power pak." Until this can be determined, Richter should not presume to declare a page move under the Naming policy. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:04, December 6, 2014 (UTC)
    • Personally, I think there's more than enough evidence on the talk page to warrant a move (outside the RPG books, which all use "power pack", it's not something that would be mentioned in many sources to begin with). However, since you (Tope) got here before I did, I'll defer to you under WP:AA. Rather than turning my talk page into a forum (and thus spamming my email), further discussion should be continued on the article's talk page, which I've added to my watchlist so that I will see messages there. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 19:21, December 6, 2014 (UTC)

Targeting Computer redirectEdit

I would just like to point out that the Targeting Computer redirect and similar redirects are still needed if they are linked in pages.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 23:44, December 21, 2014 (UTC)

Then the correct solution is to fix those links to point to the right place. Creating a redirect is the lazy solution and an actively harmful one because it fouls up Wikia's link suggestion feature. —MJ— Holocomm 23:45, December 21, 2014 (UTC)
If you delete the article, I believe it is your job to fix the links.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 23:47, December 21, 2014 (UTC)

Redirects Edit

Please do not delete legitimate redirects. I do not create these simply because they are a different case; the original sources format them this way making them legitimate search terms. In addition, Monobook search is case-sensitive even though Oasis is not. I will be recreating any legitimate redirect you delete. Thank you. - Sir Cavalier of OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 23:47, December 21, 2014 (UTC)

Monobook is not case-sensitive, and hasn't been for years. I have commented out the outdated code in User:Cavalier One/monobook.js that was causing it to be case-sensitive for you; that code has not been needed for a long time, and the gadget for it was deleted months if not over a year ago. Please bypass your cache in order for that edit to take effect. —MJ— Training Room 23:50, December 21, 2014 (UTC)
And I reverted it. I did not ask for, nor appreciate, your editing of my .js page. In either case, it is still a legitimate search term as it is directly from the original source material. Thank you. - Sir Cavalier of OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 23:53, December 21, 2014 (UTC)
And when entered in search, it will automatically resolve to the uncapitalized version if you are not using outdated code, and as I also said, these redirects ACTIVELY foul up Wikia's link suggestion feature. Therefore they are harmful and will continue to be deleted. —MJ— Holocomm 23:56, December 21, 2014 (UTC)
So, basically, you are going to delete any legitimate alternative capitalization for any legitimate article name that is presented in an official source? And I'm not taking about a simple case issue here; as I said, the redirect was not created to cover search terms. The official source presents the article is question with this alternate capitalization, making creation of the redirect legitimate. - Sir Cavalier of OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 00:09, December 22, 2014 (UTC)
And again, there is no need for it, because when the alternate capitalization is entered in the search box (which, despite your claim to the contrary, is the ONLY purpose of a redirect), MediaWiki will resolve it to the capitalization that we use, unless you insist on using outdated JavaScript code, in which case that's your problem, not mine. And when the alternate capitalization redirect actively fouls up Wikia's link suggestion feature by causing it to show only the redirect and not the actual article title then the redirect becomes harmful, and a harmful redirect with no good reason to exist should not ever be allowed to exist. —MJ— Training Room 00:15, December 22, 2014 (UTC)
To reiterate: redirects do NOT exist to document what official sources use. That is the purpose of the article proper. Redirects are search aids, and absolutely nothing more. —MJ— Comlink 00:16, December 22, 2014 (UTC)
I'm just going to say this: There are hundreds if not thousands of these types of redirects on Wookieepedia right now. To single out and pick on one arbitrarily because you happened to see it created in the Recent changes is pretty ridiculous. Either delete them all or don't delete any of them. And since the deletion is obviously being contested, I would suggest a CT to settle this. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 00:25, December 22, 2014 (UTC)
CT? Coming right up. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 00:27, December 22, 2014 (UTC)
Please see Forum:CT:Alternate capitalization redirects. —MJ— Holocomm 00:46, December 22, 2014 (UTC)

Wiki vs. wikia Edit

Hi MJ. Just noticed your edit where you changed "wikia" back to "wiki" in the Star Wars Fanpedia section of the Official Friends page. As the person who runs Fanpedia, I must object to your change. I consider Fanpedia a wikia, not a wiki, so by changing it to "wiki" you are misrepresenting Fanpedia on the Official Friends page.

The change to "wikia" over "wiki" is something each individual community and each individual user can choose to adopt or not adopt. It's a branding decision on the Wikia level but communities still get to make the choice about how they refer to themselves. As the person responsible for Fanpedia, I have made the choice to use "wikia" as it best represents Fanpedia's goal to be an interactive and social site based around news and other editorial information, rather than strict encyclopedic content. You'll also note that I only used "wikia" in reference to Fanpedia, and did not change it in any other section.

So as I said at the beginning of this message, please revert your change so Fanpedia is once again, correctly, listed as a "wikia." Whether Wookieepedia wants to use the word "wikia" doesn't change the fact that Fanpedia is a wikia. Thanks. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 07:24, December 29, 2014 (UTC)

You'll have to talk to the other admins and get a consensus. I am not reverting the change on my own. Wookieepedia is ultimately responsible for its own content, so by using "wikia" on that page, the reader may gain the impression that the administration of Wookieepedia supports Wikia and its features, policies, etc., which is largely not true (e.g. the many times we've butted heads with Wikia in the past). I would much rather avoid giving such an impression. Also, to use that term for one wiki and not others that are also hosted by Wikia is inconsistent within that page, and potentially confusing to an uninitiated reader. —MJ— Comlink 07:30, December 29, 2014 (UTC)
Very well. I'll talk to the others. I must say I'm disappointed, though. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 07:37, December 29, 2014 (UTC)
After thinking about it for a few minutes, I would support something along the lines of "Wikia-hosted community" as a compromise. That gets the Wikia branding in there without implying that we support Wikia. Would that work for you? —MJ— Holocomm 07:43, December 29, 2014 (UTC)

Aurebesh imagesEdit

Hello, I noticed your edit to Wookieepedia:Jundland Wastes with the Aurebesh redlink. When I deleted those Aurebesh images from the unused images, I asked several people whether they were used in a template or not, and I was told that they were not being used. If some of those images need to be used in the Aurebesh templates, please feel free to restore them or give me a list of the ones that need to be restored. I'm sorry if I deleted something that was in use.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 07:45, February 5, 2015 (UTC)

Ah, I was wondering why some characters were present only as regular or only as bold. Essentially, any file with a name of the format "File:AurebeshSans-Serif <character>.png" or "File:AurebeshSans-SerifBold <character>.png" is part of the {{Aur}} or {{AurB}} templates and should be restored. I'll probably be working with the templates a little more in the coming days, as I would like to convert both to a single Lua-based template. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 07:52, February 5, 2015 (UTC)
All right, I'll find those images and restore them.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 07:56, February 5, 2015 (UTC)

Template:Aur and Template:AurBEdit

Just to give you a heads up, I noticed that Template:Aur and Template:AurB are breaking when they are used inside of an infobox, as can be seen on several user pages. I would appreciate you looking into it. Thank you.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest (Greetings) 16:23, February 6, 2015 (UTC)

Shouldn't be a problem anymore. I actually suspect that this was more properly a bug with the core MediaWiki table parser, in that it was taking a valid image link and recognizing an interior portion of that link as the start of a new table cell instead of treating the whole link as one unit. At any rate, I tweaked the module so it won't happen again. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 20:35, February 6, 2015 (UTC)
Reported as MediaWiki task T88839. —MJ— War Room 20:56, February 6, 2015 (UTC)

Filling in canon redlinks Edit

Hi. As someone who has been involved in recent Senate Hall discussions about a Canon/Legends default change, I wanted to draw your attention to this thread and invite you to participate in our efforts to fill in as many /Canon redlinks as possible. Hope to see you join in! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 20:53, March 1, 2015 (UTC)

Lua Edit

MJ, you've got issues with whatever Lua module you just instituted, because this category is way too full. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 02:17, March 23, 2015 (UTC)

Fixed. I'm setting it up based on the existing parameter-checking code at the bottom of each template, and "type" was not listed in that code on {{Character}}. It may take some time for the job queue to empty out the category. —MJ— Training Room 02:21, March 23, 2015 (UTC)
I ran my bot through to speed things up, and the false positives are gone now. The rest actually have unrecognized parameters and need to be checked by a human. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 03:05, March 23, 2015 (UTC)

Template help Edit

Thank you for your help, MJ. Template-making may look like sheer sorcery to us regular editors. ;-) --LelalMekha (talk) 09:19, April 1, 2015 (UTC)

No problem. —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 19:11, April 1, 2015 (UTC)
Someday, I might have to learn, though. I'm planning to adopt the Willow Wiki, but there's next to no templates there. In addition to proper infoboxes, a better image upload form would be good. --LelalMekha (talk) 19:17, April 1, 2015 (UTC)

Delete this image Edit

Hey MJ, can you please delete File:Databank screenshot.jpg. I have no idea why it ended up looking so messed-up. It doesn't look like that on my computer. What's even more strange is when I loaded the image into the article, the image was ok! Very strange. Anyway, I uploaded the file as a png and that one works without any bugs.--Richterbelmont10 R2 sig(come in R2!) 19:37, April 1, 2015 (UTC)

Done. :) —MJ— Comlink 20:36, April 1, 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. If I can impose upon you to delete two more images; they were failed attempts to upload an image which was a result of a browser crash. And I later found out they were already uploaded under another name. Delete File:Trade federation people.png and File:Trade federation associates.png.--Richterbelmont10 R2 sig(come in R2!) 02:56, April 13, 2015 (UTC)
Done. —MJ— Comlink 04:08, April 13, 2015 (UTC)

Card templates Edit

Hi MJ,

I was just wondering if you'd be able to help me. I was thinking of proposing an idea in the senate, and possibly CT, where card games are listed in the source by set only, with a specific card given when used in a reference. The reason for this is that, if listed properly including the Mo, Imo and Po tags, the lists will get very clogged listing individual cards. For example, for Anakin Skywalker, the TCG has 32 cards called Anakin Skywalker or Darth Vader, and there are many more named after them (eg Vader's Grip), let alone those that simply picture him, or mention (directly or indirectly). The problem is, I looked at the citation templates and some of them display "(Card: {{{cardname}}})" if a card is either not linked, named, or both, and I'd want them to only display the expansion/set before I bother proposing the idea to the wider community. You can have a look here to see what I mean. Some seem to be fine, but I can't work out the difference and am worried I'm going to break the templates themselves.

TL:DR - Please fix or advise how to fix the card game citation templates on this page regarding their displaying (Card: {{{cardname}}}) if attributes are not given. I'd also appreciate feedback on the idea mentioned, I'll try to hang out on IRC when I can if you want to talk there about this there.

Thanks, have a great easter, and I hope I used my commas correctly ;)

Regards, Manoof (talk) 19:46, April 5, 2015 (UTC)

I'm getting ready to head out for a short while, but I'll leave a few thoughts here before I do. It won't be difficult to fix all of them like that, and I could knock that out for you in ten minutes. However, the underlying issue is that each one largely duplicates the code of the others, and so some have received improvements that others have not (e.g. hiding the cardname), and one has even been converted into a Lua module. This type of hardcoded duplication was the standard practice on Wookieepedia for years, but it's a bad practice, and recent movement, particularly with navboxes and infoboxes, has been to have each template call one or more meta-templates so that code only has to be written once and improvements only need to be done in one place. So the ideal solution here would be create a single meta-template, possibly a Lua module, to handle all of the card game templates, and then have each template call that meta-template or module. That would be more involved than just fixing each individual template, but not too hard. So that's what I'll probably do tonight or tomorrow.
As for the general idea, I fully support de-bloating the sources lists. Listing every card separately is overkill, and IMHO that should be obvious. :P I may or may not pop onto IRC, but probably not. I rarely come onto IRC these days because I have a strong dislike for any form of live chat, as the very nature of the format places too much pressure on responding immediately, and I need time to think about what I want to say (case in point: I've spent over 20 minutes and counting typing this response). But I would certainly support the CT you are proposing.
Easter so far has been an ordinary day for me (I do celebrate Easter as a Christian, but I don't "celebrate" it with special meals or get-togethers or the like), but it's been a good day nonetheless. And since I'm in a good mood, I'll refrain from correcting your commas. :P (I see two errors, three if I wanted to nitpick the Oxford comma. ;) ) —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 20:22, April 5, 2015 (UTC)
Thanks MJ, I really appreciate it. On both counts ;) :) Manoof (talk) 22:37, April 5, 2015 (UTC)
So I've drafted a sentence regarding the rule that would be added to the page if you wanted to have a look at it, feel free to tweak it a bit so there is neither ambiguity nor a loophole of any sorts. I think it should be added as a rule to the Sourcing policy, as well as each of the template's pages, again something that would be discussed in the SH before taking it to a CT, provided there is support for the idea. Manoof (talk) 12:10, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
Also to clarify, those templates I've marked as "per SOTE" have a single attribute which should not be shown - cardname. Those marked with "per TCG" have two attributes, cardname and link, which is used to link to an image of the card, hosted at another website. Most with the link can be used without the attribute, formatting the cardname without a link. I assume this means they all just need to have the cardname toggle off if it is not filled. Manoof (talk) 12:10, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
The rule looks good. As for "link" and "cardname", the Lua version I wrote last night and will debug today or tomorrow will accept "link", "cardname", and "nourl" parameters for all 10 templates for the sake of efficiency (though linking may not be appropriate for all usages). Link without cardname will throw a big red error. Cardname alone will display as plain text. Cardname and link together will use an external link, while adding nourl (currently seen only on {{CCG}}) will change that to an internal link. Omitting both cardname and link will omit the display of (Card: name) completely. The templates that currently use unnamed parameters will continue to accept those, but the unnamed parameters will be considered deprecated in favor of standardized named parameters, with tracking categories added to track usage of those parameters for eventual removal (which I may speed up with my bot). —MJ— Holocomm 18:47, April 6, 2015 (UTC)
Awesome! Thanks MJ, you're the man! :D Manoof (talk) 05:16, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
Hey MJ, just wondering how you were going with this or if you had any issues. No pressure or anything, just seeing if everything is alright :) Have a great weekend! Manoof (talk) 23:30, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
I've been unexpectedly busy with some other things, but will get going on testing these within the next day or two. Apologies for the delay. :) —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 23:33, April 11, 2015 (UTC)
I've created Module:CardGameCite and Module:CardGameCite/data, as well as /sandbox and /testcases subpages for all ten of the templates listed at User:Manoof/Workbench. All testcases seem to be passing, but I'm going to sleep on it and look at them again in a day or two before I go live with the Lua versions of the templates, mainly because I've been doing repetitive tasks and staring at more or less the same code over and over again for two hours, so there's a higher-than-normal chance that I've overlooking something simple. :) —MJ— Holocomm 03:32, April 15, 2015 (UTC)
Awesome! When you do go live, I assume the templates on that workbench page should all be corrected, feel free to use that page for any testing or anything you need for this :) Oh and get some rest :P Manoof (talk) 05:09, April 15, 2015 (UTC)
Shouldn't need your workbench for anything other than a handy list of links. All of the testing in contained in the /testcases subpages for those 10 templates. And rest really isn't the issue, as I was doing that in what effectively would be the early afternoon for a normal person (it was 9:30 to 11:30 PM local time, but I typically roll out of bed around 3 PM and hit the sack around 5 AM). It's just that when a programmer stares at the same code for too long, it becomes very easy to overlook the most basic of errors. So in a situation like this, it's typically best to move it to the back burner for a day or so and then attack it with a fresh mind, when such errors will be as obvious as a giant flashing red light (I'm not exaggerating). :P —MJ— Council Chambers 05:46, April 15, 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't mean for this to be delayed this long. All ten Lua versions are now live. Let me know if you find any bugs. —MJ— Council Chambers 06:58, April 29, 2015 (UTC)
That's ok, I figured you were busy or something :) Thanks heaps, it seems to work fine and I can't see any issues anywhere :) I'll work out a few things when I have a chance before sending it through to a CT. Again, thanks so much! Manoof (talk) 10:42, April 29, 2015 (UTC)

CSWE and the Exile's lightsaber Edit

Hello. Thank you for getting back to me, re: the Exil's lightsaber. I've responded to you on my talk page if you've got a moment. Thanks again :) Scoundr3l (talk) 18:34, April 6, 2015 (UTC)

Check your email. ;) —MJ— Council Chambers 20:32, April 9, 2015 (UTC)

Deleted status articles Edit

Just a heads-up that some of the status articles that have been deleted through the Trash compactor are still being offered in the Random articles on the homepage. I was just offered "Unidentified Rebel soldier (brown hair)" on the random, which was deleted on April 19. ProfessorTofty (talk) 20:28, April 21, 2015 (UTC)

Looks like Cade took care of this. Ultimately, I want to move the FA and CA randomizers over to the same system now used by the GA randomizer, which will permanently eliminate this problem. Until then, redirects and redlinks will continue to creep in on almost every pagemove and deletion. However, I have other things on my plate for right now. —MJ— Training Room 21:25, April 21, 2015 (UTC)

Interview Edit

Hey, I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a WOTM interview. Supreme Emperor (talk) 03:24, April 30, 2015 (UTC)

I suppose so. :P Email would be preferable for me; is the email address you use on the admin list a good one? I can shoot you an email through there, or you can send one to me directly through the email I use on the admin list (I'm not posting it publicly to keep it away from the spambots.) —MJ— Council Chambers 04:06, April 30, 2015 (UTC)
Yep, the email address I have on the admin list is a good one. IF all goes well, I can get you questions either tonight or tomorrow night. Supreme Emperor (talk) 11:11, April 30, 2015 (UTC)
Okey-dokey. I just sent you a brief message, so check your email. :) —MJ— Training Room 11:49, April 30, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks! Edit

Thanks for the pit droid award MJ! :D It doesn't seem like I'm making much headway, especially when the droid and event infoboxes were added but the number is coming down, albeit slowly lol. If I do 10 a day on average, it's still going to take years xD Manoof (talk) 09:06, April 30, 2015 (UTC)

You're welcome. :) One of these days I'll sit down and program my bot to attack every infobox on Wookieepedia. Until then, every little bit helps. :) —MJ— Council Chambers 09:12, April 30, 2015 (UTC)

Galaxies TCG placeholders TC Edit

Hi MJ, since you voted on the Galaxies TCG placeholders TC, I just wanted you to know the vote on the TC has been split with a vote option for each article. Manoof (talk) 05:11, May 1, 2015 (UTC)

Error with card templates Edit

Hey MJ, I just noticed a problem with some of the articles with the card game templates on them. If you have a look at this version of Ralltiir, you can see at the bottom of the page some code has escaped somehow from the card game template, which I fixed and so you can see the current version does not have this issue. I'm not sure why some of the code is coming out like that, and I'm unsure how widespread this is. It seems to be fixed once the card game templates are corrected, with set=, cardname= and link= being added properly.

Experimenting on the my workbench page, it seems to only happen when they are inside a scrollbox, and when parameter2 is incorrectly named (eg. card instead of cardname). Manoof (talk) 05:21, May 3, 2015 (UTC)

I told you there was probably a basic error that crept in somewhere. It just happened to be one that didn't show up in the sterile environment of the /testcases pages. Specifically, I forgot to close the span tag used to produce the red warning message about an unrecognized parameter. *facepalm* It's been fixed. Let me know if you have any further issues. —MJ— Comlink 05:36, May 3, 2015 (UTC)
You're my hero! *swoons* On a related note, will a bot be able to go through the templates adding set= and cardname= to those templates without any defined parameters? I saw the new categories and am hoping I won't have to go through them manually (though there are a few that would have to be sorted of course). Just curious to that, no rush or anything :) Manoof (talk) 05:38, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
Yes, it can be done by bot, probably fairly easily with the mwparserfromhell library. I plan to do that "eventually". ;) (In other words, once I take care of a few things that have priority, and once I stop procrastinating. :P ) In the meantime, just leave them alone, as the unnamed parameters aren't hurting anything and the tracking categories are hidden from normal viewing. —MJ— Holocomm 05:44, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
Oh yays! :D I already made a couple of edits as a small handful were thrown in the Templates with unrecognized parameters category. I've been keeping an eye on the template parameter errors parent category since the infoboxes are in there, and saw they popped up. Anyways, have a great week and don't code too hard :) Manoof (talk) 05:52, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
Actually in consideration to you, since I assume a bot would be needed to implement a change in the sources from specific cards to just the card set, let me know when it's a good time to put it to a CT. I know you're busy since you're probably the most experienced coder here, not to mention actual RL issues you're bound to have. I don't want to put the idea to a CT and have it pass, when you're flat out doing other things. Again, have a great week! Manoof (talk) 05:56, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
Go ahead and do the CT whenever you're ready and don't wait on me. It doesn't take long to throw together a script for basic tasks like this, and Cade might beat me to it anyway. —MJ— War Room 05:59, May 4, 2015 (UTC)

"live-action theatrical film" Edit

Would the Ewok movies count, since they were released theatrically in Europe? Adamwankenobi (talk) 00:23, May 4, 2015 (UTC)

Hmm, I wasn't aware of that. I'd suggest counting only those films with global releases, otherwise too much confusion is introduced. Calling Episode IX the 11th film is confusing enough without calling Episode III the eighth film, etc. —MJ— Training Room 00:44, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
You also have to go with what something was primarily intended as. The Ewok movies may have had some theatrical releases, but they were not created as theatrical releases. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 00:50, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
Fair point. :) —MJ— Council Chambers 00:52, May 4, 2015 (UTC)
True. I think it's confusing and unnecessary anyway to say, for example, "Star Wars Episode IX is the eleventh live-action theatrical film." Adamwankenobi (talk) 00:56, May 4, 2015 (UTC)

Hey, I need help Edit

Hey, I made a mistake here which I won't make in the future. Can you delete the Mission to steal the Triple-Zero personality matrix page so that I can move Mission to steal the Triple-Zero protocol personality matrix to that location? Instead of moving the latter page, I simply created the former, and left a redirect. I've restored the information back to the latter page to prep it for an actual move. -Effect 03:39, May 11, 2015 (UTC)

Done. Please make sure you go through this list and ensure that all incoming links to the old title are fixed, along with the resulting double redirect. :) —MJ— Council Chambers 03:44, May 11, 2015 (UTC)
Thank you very much. Will do. -Effect 03:48, May 11, 2015 (UTC)

BigfootEdit

Hello Master Jonathon, I am curious on your opinion about the relationship between the wookie and bigfoot species. Any help would be much appreciated! May the force be with you, Padawan Drew Unsigned comment by 69.54.49.195 (talk • contribs).

Quoting from the big orange box above (which I really need to condense): "Please do not engage in general chit-chat here. Wookieepedia is not a social network. If it doesn't relate to Wookieepedia or Wikia, it probably doesn't belong on this page." Please take your question to an external site such as the Jedi Council Forums. (That said, I will point you to the comic Into the Great Unknown, which, while always non-canon, provides a humorous insight into this question.) —MJ— Jedi Council Chambers 16:39, May 18, 2015 (UTC)

Card game CT Edit

Hi MJ, thanks to your help with the card game issues! I thought I would let you know I just made a CT proposal in relation to our discussions. Have a good weekend! Manoof (talk) 03:07, June 26, 2015 (UTC)

Got it. I'll look at it later. I've been super-super-busy all month and haven't even looked at my watchlist in I think over three weeks, so I need to budget a whole afternoon or evening soon to get caught up on everything around here. —MJ— Comlink 03:20, June 26, 2015 (UTC)

Card game citations part 2 Edit

Hi MJ. As one of the bot masters and coding experts, I would appreciate if you could weigh and give us your thoughts on this thread. We're trying to solidify the new Card Game Citations idea before sending it to the Consensus Track again.--Richterbelmont10 R2 sig(come in R2!) 16:40, July 16, 2015 (UTC)
