Re: Edit reversion Edit

The reason I reverted your edit on that page was because the image was too small to be displayed at 250px. I could remedy that by rescanning it at a higher resolution, but the image in the comic is small to begin with. Forcing it to a size larger than its native resolution ends up making the pic look blurry or distorted. Images that are too small to be displayed at 250px can be displayed at their current small size. Not all images need to be at 250px, some simply are too small. I should have explained that in my edit summary and I apologize for that. Trak Nar Ramble on 04:41, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Thank you for explaining. Like I have said before, I am trying to help. I know a lot of the pictures I have uploaded have been removed. I was told that anything around 720 X 406 is good for DVD captures of clone wars episodes, so I upload them, then they get removed. I don't understand, I am told one thing then someone tells me another and I get confused on what I should upload. Matt Seay (talk) 04:45, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Dooku image Edit

Looks pretty good to me. Though, keep in mind that if Dooku's article is cluttered with images already, adding more may clutter it further. In the meantime, I went ahead and formatted the image for you. Trak Nar Ramble on 05:44, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Okay cool, thanks. I think I finally got it right. Thanks for the help. Matt Seay (talk) 05:50, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Images Edit

I apologize for the problems with the images—it was not my intention to make it seem like you were being targeted, although I probably came off that way. It's simply important to ensure site-wide quality of images, as they make up a big portion of articles; that's why some of your images were deleted. It seems like you're getting the hang of it, as far as sourcing goes as well as the actual formatting of the screenshot, so please keep up the good work. Thank you for your contributions thus far, and don't hesitate to contact me if any conflicts arise. :) CC7567 (talk) 07:51, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yes, I do feel as though I am getting way better at most aspects of editing. Thank you for not taking my comments personally. It feels good to know that people are thankful for any additions and edits that I make on here. I will be sure to contact you if I need any assistance in the future. I have made some good acquaintances on here who have helped me out a lot. Matt Seay (talk) 07:55, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Aayla.jpg Edit

We already have a File:Aayla.jpg and your recent upload had overwritten it. I reverted it and am now removing the old revisions. Please be mindful of your file names, as they may be duplicates of files we already have. Thanks. Trak Nar Ramble on 09:43, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • I should have thought about that. Of course there would have been an image simply called Aayla.jpg, why did I not name it something else. As long as it is fixed now its okay. Matt Seay (talk) 09:46, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Images Edit

Matt, please do not continue to upload poor quality images, as well as uploading them improperly sourced. Continuing to do so could result in a block by an administrator. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 14:40, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • I have been told that my recent Images have been of good quality and properly sourced. I know the first few I ever uploaded were terrible, but my recent ones I have been complemented on. "It seems like you're getting the hang of it, as far as sourcing goes as well as the actual formatting of the screenshot, so please keep up the good work. Thank you for your contributions thus far, and don't hesitate to contact me if any conflicts arise. :)" Quote- CC7567 this user said this in a previous comment. Matt Seay (talk) 14:44, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • They were not sourced correctly when you uploaded them. Take a look at this. Remember what I have told you to not rely on others to fix your mistakes? I would double check your other images to see as well. As for the poor quality, there was a shot that was completely dark on my screen and not in its correct resolution. That image was also shoved into an article that did not need anymore images since it was a stub-like article. JangFett (Talk) 14:48, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
      • Excuse me for not knowing that. Look, I am trying my best. And the one image you spoke of that was dark was it in the Ziro's holding cell]] article? I will know now how to "properly" source clone wars images. All my other images work fine for me when I go to view them on the articles. As for quality, I am capturing from DVDs so, if you would like me to do any better, give me a PC that can play blu-rays and I will help you there (sarcasm), I am not trying to be rude. I know you hate telling me these things. Like I have said before, I am doing my best and when I am told I am doing a great job, I keep doing it the way I have been. Matt Seay (talk) 14:53, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
        • Matt, there should be no excuse for you to say that you did not know when I told you to look at other images for help. Sourcing should have clicked to you when you saw the correct copyright template, links for the description box, source and categories. There was even a discussion about not shoving images into articles that did not need them. Yes, you are doing a good job, but do not believe that you could continue to do half-ass work and get away with it. I hope this all makes sense, JangFett (Talk) 14:59, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
          • Okay, okay, okay. I get it, you don't like my images, I will try to be like you, the great JangFett (sarcasm). I get it. I got carried away. At least you still used my picture of Ahsoka and Barris. Okay, I will apologize if I have sounded harsh or anything. I guess like I said, I must have just gotten carried away. I will in the future source the images the way they ought to be sourced. Its the quality thing I am confused about, one person tells me they are great quality and then someone else tells me they suck. Matt Seay (talk) 15:05, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
            • Matt, did I say that I hated your images? :P If so, I would not even bother to help you solve the issues that are currently present in some of your uploaded work. I want you to do a better job with the sourcing. If you think you have the quality of the images down, then you could continue to upload them as is. But please be sure to check the sourcing, which is what normally causes the death of an image if the image quality is passable. It's very important. JangFett (Talk) 15:09, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
              • I know, you did not say you hated them, I was being sarcastic. I do that, some people can not handle my sarcasm. Like I said, I will strive to source correctly. You see, the next image I upload, whenever that is, It will be sourced properly. I know I have said this over and over, I only wish to help out this site and put in the best work I can. I am glad so many people have offered to help me with so many things. Please do not think that I do not appreciate your help, cuz I do. Matt Seay (talk) 15:14, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
                • Well, it is hard to identify sarcasm over the internet. I thought you were being sarcastic to calling me great. :P As for what you said regarding the images, I understand where you are coming from, though. I could tell that you have good ambition to help the wiki in a positive way, but in order to avoid these discussions, you need to understand the site's policies thoroughly and know what is to be expected. JangFett (Talk) 15:34, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
                  • Yes, I know, well, I hope we don't have any more incidents like this. Matt Seay (talk) 15:35, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Images on FAs Edit

Matt, please note that one of the reasons that your images have been removed from articles is that you're adding them to status articles, namely Featured Articles. All of these articles already went through reviewing by the community and the Inq review board to ensure their quality, and they are therefore not expected to change much after approval unless due to updating. In fact, some objections were to remove images so that the articles don't get too crowded. This is why there is a notice while editing FAs to consult with the article's nominator before making any changes, as it is usually up to the nominator to manage the article after it passes the approval process. Please make sure to do this in the future—it's always best to post on the article's talk page or directly consult a nominator before changing an FA beyond minor spelling/grammatical corrections. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 20:33, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Sorry, sorry, sorry, simple mistake. My bad. I thought I had some good pictures to add. Nevertheless, I did not pay attention. This will never happen again. Matt Seay (talk) 21:34, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • No worries. Some nominators will appreciate having more images, but in the end it's usually the nominator's decision. CC7567 (talk) 21:37, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
  • Cool, I am glad the image I added of Anakin in the battle of Ryloth in his article got to stay, that is a really good pic. Matt Seay (talk) 22:44, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Matt, just a tip when creating talk pages if it doesn't have anything on it, it needs more than just a talkheader to warrant the creation of the page. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 22:35, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Like what exactly? A topic? Matt Seay (talk) 22:36, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • Not exatcly say the talk page you created was in the comics, or the game Kotor you'd use {{WKOTORtalk}}, for stuff in the old republic books, comics, game you'd use {{WPTORtalk}}, for the clone wars tv series and so on {{WTCWtalk}}, for star wars galaxies {{WPSWGtalk}}, and for legacy {{WLtalk}}.

Got ya, I know now. Thanks. I did one correctly, Matt Seay (talk) 22:43, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Are you nominating Yorr to be a featured article? DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 23:51, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I figured. I want to get at least one Comprehensive article or good article. Right now I am working on references. Matt Seay (talk) 23:58, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • Thats good to hear. Just make sure it meets the requirements for the nomination, and when they leave comments be sure to fix what they suggest in a reasonable time limit. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 00:01, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
  • Got ya, guess I need to change the nomination to Comprehensive huh? Matt Seay (talk) 00:02, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • Unless you can make it around a 1,000 word article before someone removes it, it would be a good idea. Keep in mind that its needs to be under 250 words if you decided to expand during the nomination. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 00:06, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

If you need any advice feel free to drop me a line and I'll help with what I can. Don't forget to archive that it was nominated for FAN before you nominate it for CAN. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 00:27, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

Took care of skin color and eye color for ya, Don't forget to strike it off on the nomination page. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 01:09, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

  • Having a little trouble, it wants to strike out everything. I only need to strike out the fixes that I have made so far. Can you help? Matt Seay (talk) 01:16, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • Sure what all did you take care of so I know what to strike out for you. Be sure to add a note underneath it yourself saying taken care of though, after I strike it out. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 01:18, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
  • Took source off intro, changed name of Imperial Career, and you took care of skin color and eye color, so mark those off and I will see what is left. Matt Seay (talk) 01:20, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • I think I should note here that you should never strike someone else's objections. Leave a note that you took care of them, and they'll then strike their objections. Menkooroo (talk) 01:21, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
  • Okay, thanks for the heads up. Matt Seay (talk) 01:24, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

Yorr Edit

Hey Matt,

If you'd like to nominate Yorr on the CAN page, whatcha gotta do is take the code below the line that says "DO NOT WRITE BELOW THIS LINE," copy it, and paste it above the line.

Do you want me to remove Yorr from the FAN page, then, if you're going to nominate it on the CAN page? Let me know. Menkooroo (talk) 00:22, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

  • yeah sure go ahead, it would be more likely for this to reach Comprehensive article status than Featured. Matt Seay (talk) 00:24, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • Done. Make sure to add it to the CAN page by copying and pasting that code above the line (and changing "article name" to Yorr). Make sure not to edit below the line. Menkooroo (talk) 00:33, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
  • Okay, check if I did it right. I think I did what you said. Matt Seay (talk) 00:36, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
  • I'm going to give you one chance to answer this, and your answer may determine how long I block you for: What page of the Rebellion Era Sourcebook is Yorr specifically, personally mentioned on? You have been told before not to edit based on subjects you don't know about and sources you don't have, and this is the part where I have to make you understand that was not a suggestion. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 03:37, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
  • Yorr appears on page 73 under the section titled Imperial Propaganda. It talks about COMPNOR and his picture is right there. Matt Seay (talk) 03:42, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • I just checked the source --- Yorr's picture is indeed there, but there's nothing linking his picture to anything in the text. Stuff like this appears in sourcebooks all the time; random pictures interspersed among the text. Relating Yorr to COMPNOR here would be speculation; it seems like the most we can do is put a (Picture only) next to the source. Menkooroo (talk) 03:53, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • Ah, good. Total speculation to link the two, but at least it's not made up. Thank you. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 03:54, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
  • Okay, then it can be fixed, that is the only problem I have with sourcebooks, they put random pictures in there to make you think a character is connected to a group, but they may not be, nevertheless, I made a mistake, unintentionally. Matt Seay (talk) 03:56, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

Joint Project YorrEdit

This is the subpage I have made for the project. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 03:21, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • Okay cool. Matt Seay (talk) 03:59, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

Final warning: Images Edit

When you upload images, please make sure that you use the appropriate licensing template. Professional and promotional photographs of actors still fall under the purview of the {{fairuse}} template. These images are not public domain, so please do not tag them as such. Also, make sure to categorize the images. Most actor photographs can be categorized under Category:Promotional images. Also, TCW screenshots are licensed with {{TV-screenshot}}, not simply "Fairuse." And please make sure to categorize the images.

This is the absolute last time I'm going to remind you about this, as others have been doing so ad nauseum. We can't keep holding your hand and cleaning up after you. At some point, you will need to do this on your own, and you will need to remember everything that needs to be done. If you need to write a checklist to keep track of everything, then do so. I've used checklists to remind myself to make sure that I've tied up every loose end. Trak Nar Ramble on 06:48, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • Okay, to tell you the truth I meant to click Fair Use for the Jasper Jacob picture but my cursor slipped at the last minute, I know terrible excuse but it happens. For I while there I was told I was doing good, I know I make mistakes, and I promise this will be the last time I make this mistake. I will longer use phrases such as "Doing my best" and "I am trying" cuz I know the admins are fed up with that crap. So I am just gonna say I know what I have done wrong and have learned from my mistakes and I will source things accordingly and provide the proper license for images. Like I have said before I only wish to improve the site, not hinder it in any way. For my mistakes I am sorry. Matt Seay (talk) 07:03, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

Star Wars 1313Edit

The rating you saw did it say ESRB rated it mature? DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 05:36, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

  • A rating of 18 in Europe is about the same thing as M by the ESRB in America, it did say provisional under it but from interviews from LucasArts they are shooting for Mature for themes and situations, not blood and gore. So I think it would be okay to note this in the article. Matt Seay (talk) 05:39, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
    • True but until it gets an offical rating from ESRB or one of the other companies we shouldn't add it yet. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 05:41, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  • Well, I just thought I would bring it up anyway. Matt Seay (talk) 05:42, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  • True, I know that Europe is very picky with violence and and thematic elements in games and movies so the American version could be T while the European version could be 18 (M), will may find out in the next few weeks to months. Wikipedeia lists it right now as PEGI: 18 under rating. Matt Seay (talk) 05:48, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
    • PEGI is Europe's rating system. So while it is rated Mature their we still don't know what it is rated here. Since they showed Europe's rating in the recent trailer we should get a rating from ESRB very soon. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 05:51, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  • Yeah, it shouldn't take long, I think the game will be released either end of this year or start of next. We should find out soon, I know one thing I can not wait for this game. Matt Seay (talk) 05:53, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  • Guess we just have to wait until LucasArts releases more info. I hope its soon. Its like Grand Theft Auto V, I think they are playing it very close to the chest and not wanting to reveal too much too soon. Matt Seay (talk) 06:03, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
    • Yep. Mostly they don't want to release too much info about it till the games solid, and they know for sure what stays in and whats being cut out. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 06:07, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  • True, I just hope the story is not too short. People complained about the Force Unleashed II being short but it relly had more levels than the first one, what made it seem short was no loading screens between levels unless you died or had to restart. Matt Seay (talk) 06:10, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
    • It shouldn't be. I agree that level wise TFUII was longer, but since I beat it in 2 hours just seemed really short. Had one hell of a story though. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 06:13, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
  • Yeah, I do now why so much from the Novel and comic were not in it. But nevertheless, I enjoyed it. Matt Seay (talk) 06:15, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

Categories: Final Warning Edit

This is a final reminder to remember to categorize your articles. Please remember to do so in the future. Thanks. Trak Nar Ramble on 07:22, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

  • Again, sorry for that. Matt Seay (talk) 16:57, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Matt, how would you like to join Project Novels. It includes all novels, young readers and adults. One of the focuses is the Jedi Apprentice series. Get back to be when you can if your interested. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 04:42, August 24, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yeah man that sounds cool. Sorry I have not been active on here lately, doing some other stuff. But yeah this sounds pretty cool. Matt Seay (talk) 20:16, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
    • No big deal. It's just me on the project at the moment but could always use some more users to help out. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 22:33, August 24, 2012 (UTC)
  • Yeah, I will see what I can do. Matt Seay (talk) 00:15, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
    • Cool. Just made two new pages for new novels. Just let me know what you want to specialize in on the project. DarthRevan1173 (Long live Lord Revan) 00:34, August 25, 2012 (UTC)

Re:Novels Edit

Unfortunately, I'm not all that familiar with either series. I don't own any of the novels, and haven't actually read them in years. And truth be told, I already have a quite a few projects on my plate as it is. I'm sorry. Bella'Mia (talk) 10:01, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Categories. Edit

Please remember to categorize your articles. Trak Nar Ramble on 01:56, December 4, 2012 (UTC)

My bad, I just got back to editing and creating articles. I forget that sometimes. Won't happen again, I will remember. Matt Seay (talk) 02:01, December 4, 2012 (UTC)

Clothing articles Edit

I've noticed that many of the clothing articles that you have made come from the Star Wars Character Encyclopedia. If that article of clothing does come from that source, make sure to list it in the sources. :) Trak Nar Ramble on 03:50, December 5, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yeah my bad, thanks for reminding me. Matt Seay (talk) 04:00, December 5, 2012 (UTC)

TCW sourcesEdit

Hey, you found some cool sources! They some to be really valid, and are parallel with the IMDB list. The articles could be updated from this sourse. Thanks for it! :) --XXLVenom998 (talk) 18:51, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

Cool, thanks. The sources need to be formatted correctly though, I thought it was a pretty good source, Matt Seay (talk) 20:33, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

  • Why, what was wrong with the formatting? --XXLVenom998 (talk) 12:21, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

It keeps saying Cite error when I put it in. Matt Seay (talk) 16:08, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

Creating articlesEdit

Just a reminder for when your creating artices. Be sure to verify that it was in the source you list it's in. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot (Long live Lord Revan) 02:31, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

Oh yeah thanks man. Matt Seay (talk) 02:36, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Season Five Edit

The information on that site is sometimes reliable—not always. The upcoming episodes are currently listed for Fridays instead of the current Saturday airdates, so something's definitely wrong. The only sources that are official for sure are sources that receive information directly from Cartoon Network and Lucasfilm, and those usually update with information only about two weeks before the episodes air. CC7567 (talk) 16:48, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

Simon Kinberg Edit

Please be advised that you can't copy and paste an article directly from Wikipedia. Please write about him in your own words. Menkooroo (talk) 00:54, December 10, 2012 (UTC)

My intent was to use the wikipedia article as a template for a rewrite, is that okay? Matt Seay (talk) 01:05, December 10, 2012 (UTC)

  • Wikipedia articles shouldn't be copied over in the first place --- if you're going to rewrite it, you should do so before creating the page in the first place. Menkooroo (talk) 01:07, December 10, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, My bad, I am currently working on the article. I will rewrite it in my own words, it is a work in progress. Matt Seay (talk) 01:09, December 10, 2012 (UTC)

Wookieepedia:Miss Star Wars 2012Edit

Just a heads up Ahsoka isn't a voting option for Miss Star Wars 2012. All characters must be over 18 to be eligible and she is only 16. You might want to remove here soon before you get in trouble. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot (Long live Lord Revan) 13:34, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, I was unaware of that rule. Isn't Senator Chuchi about the same age as Ahsoka? Matt Seay (talk) 19:59, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

  • Not that I know of. Her age is unknown, but since she's a senator I'd say she's older that 18 no source has comfirmed her birthyear yet. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot (Long live Lord Revan) 23:11, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

I was thinking she could have been seeing as Padme was aloud to be Queen at 15. Guess that is just a Naboo thing. Matt Seay (talk) 23:32, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

Eh well, guess the point is I made a mistake....moving on. Matt Seay (talk) 23:39, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

As of 0:00 UTC (8:00 PM EST), I have assumed responsibilities for leading this project, due to my predecessor Cylka's inactivity. Wherever she is, I wish her well in her endeavors, and should she come back, I will gladly turn over leadership back to her. Over the next few weeks, I look forward to reviewing more articles and also wish to get more KotOR-related projects off the ground, and look forward to moving forward to bettering this project and ultimately Wookieepedia. Thank you for your continued service to Wookieepedia.—Jedi Kasra ("Indeed.") 01:09, December 20, 2012 (UTC)

  • Thank you, I only wish to better the site. I will do what I can to help out as I have done. Matt Seay (talk) 01:32, December 20, 2012 (UTC)

Captain YorrEdit

Hey Matt I was wanting to know if your still interested in re-nominating Yorr at some point. I'm gonna clean up the userpage that I have set up for it that way we know what we have left to do. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot (Long live Lord Revan) 02:42, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

  • wow the Yorr Article Nom, Yeah, I would still like to re-nominate that. I haven't thought about that in a while, but I would like to. Do what ya need to it. Matt Seay (talk) 04:24, April 18, 2013 (UTC)
    • On it. I also cleaned up the Yorr article a little bit. As far as I know all we need to do is check his sources/other sources he may appear/be mentioned in. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot (Long live Lord Revan) 04:35, April 18, 2013 (UTC)
  • Alright, cool. I can't believe that you still wanna work on that article nomination. I thought I could really improve that article when I first nominated it. It sure has come a long way lol. Matt Seay (talk) 05:35, April 18, 2013 (UTC)
    • I'm game on it as long as you are. After nominating a few articles I've come to realize that the first is never the best, but it does teach you how to better nominate other articles. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot (Long live Lord Revan) 06:45, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

Warning Edit

Thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! Before posting talk page comments, please familiarize yourself with the disclaimer at the top of talk pages, {{Talkheader}}. Talk pages are for discussion relating to changes to the article, not for a discussion about the topic in question. Thank you. Continuing to ask questions about Episode VII when there has not been any information about the movie is in violation of the Talkheader and can result in administrative action. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 03:46, June 2, 2013 (UTC)

Excuse me, I meant it more as a trivia section thing more than anything else. Sorry. Matt Seay (talk) 03:56, June 2, 2013 (UTC)

Yorr Edit

Hello Matt Seay, I saw you were interested in nominating Yorr again. One thing I have to say is, given the character's significant role, the adaptations and other sources should carefully be checked for him appearing. As for the shuttle appearing when he doesn't, I would say not to count as appearances/sources, but I think you should ask others' thoughts. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 01:29, June 5, 2013 (UTC)

Okay Thanks for the tips. I am trying to find other things like the JR. Novel and Comic adaptation to see if any more info may come my way. Matt Seay (talk) 20:45, June 8, 2013 (UTC)

Talk pages Edit

I noticed some misplaced discussions in Star Wars Episode VII's talk page. There's no need to post random bits of SE news there, since that goes against {{Talkheader}}. I'm sure you've heard this before, but we are not a forum. Thanks Matt. JangFett (Talk) 13:20, June 10, 2013 (UTC)

I thought that was good info to add abut the development of the film. Matt Seay (talk) 17:35, June 10, 2013 (UTC)

  • Also, asking a question about the topic of an article does not belong on a talk page, and actually directly violates the Template:TI. Talk pages are solely for discussing a change to the article, not the topic of the article itself. Trip391 (talk) 21:21, March 8, 2014 (UTC)

Alright, well, I thought that there wa something said about a DVD release. Where should that question be directed? Matt Seay (talk) 21:41, March 8, 2014 (UTC)

Warning Edit

This is a general warning to you regarding the creation of new articles. According to the Wookieepedia Layout Guide and Manual of Style, all new articles must be formatted accordingly and include basics such as era templates and categories. Since your inability to create articles properly is becoming a trend, I am issuing you this formal notice and making a strong recommendation that you read through these two policy pages before attempting to create new articles. If this becomes more of a problem than it already is, we may need to cut you off. Don't let it get to that point. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 21:15, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

I have been trying to add all the right info and things I do not want to seem like I am a vandal or something. I was adding info a little at a time. I hope you understand. I want to help the wiki not hurt it. I am a huge Star Wars fan and only wish to help the site. I do not want to be banned, but I will not beg, I will follow the rules. Matt Seay (talk) 21:21, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

  • In all seriousness, you shouldn't even try to edit another article until you take time to sit down and read those policy pages, because it's pretty clear you don't have a clue what you're doing. This isn't me being mean and I'm not threatening to block you, but you should know that blocking is this situation's worst-case scenario. Our articles need to be formatted a certain way, which is all explained for you in those two pages. You need to understand the formatting rules and how to apply them if you want to edit articles. If you fail to apply them because you're simply too lazy to read through the policies, then that's when we start having a real problem. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 21:31, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Again, I have read them, like I said, I don't want you to think I am some guy who just wants to mess around, I really do ant to contribute greatly to the site. I will re read the policies. I can see where I am at fault. So, I will fix my mistakes, after all aren't we mostly adults in here lol.....but seriously. I will re read over all the policies and things that I have not read over in a while. Like I said I only wish to help. Matt Seay (talk) 21:43, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Sourcing Edit

Please make sure that you're entirely familiar with the sourcing policy. Only the first usage of a ref uses the full <ref name="Orders">{{TCW|Orders}}</ref> code; all refs after that will only be formatted like <ref name="Orders" />. Please keep this in mind for the future. Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 20:30, March 21, 2014 (UTC)

My mistake, thanks for the heads uo, I forgot about that. Matt Seay (talk) 01:29, March 22, 2014 (UTC)

Canon articles Edit

Matt, please stop copy-pasting articles just to create the canon version. It's lazy, incorrect, and creates a massive amount of work to clean up. Unless you're willing to put forth the time and effort to create the articles correctly, don't do it at all. Thank you. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 21:57, May 21, 2014 (UTC)

Okay, I thought I was doing it correctly. I will admit when I am wrong. I could go on and say, "I was going to re-write sections of the article" but of course that wouldn't sound too good seeing as I already posted the edits. I will try not to take the lazy way out. I would like to do my part to help reorganize the canon information on the site. Matt Seay (talk) 22:00, May 21, 2014 (UTC)
