Some Galaxies expertise is needed
Edit
Hey Olioster, how's it going? I need someone with some more Galaxies expertise than I currently possess in order to do a project of mine. Empire Day festivities mainly come from Galaxies so I was wondering if you could look at the info that's currently in the article and tell me if any of it is inaccurate, or let me know what's missing. And if you need any help with anything, I'd be more than happy to assist. :) Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 23:06, March 10, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for the inconvenience, I would suggest using the Guide to the Grand Army of the Republic from Star Wars Insider 84. I hope that clears things up for you. Kilson Likes PIE(The Bakery) 21:48, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Sure, I'm happy to assist. I did a copy-edit and this is what I found
- I already fixed this, but you had a redirect for Rage of the Wookiees in the Appearances list. You should make special note of this for your future noms.
- In the History section, "However, a' spacer was given one of these fighters after they assisted the Civilian Protection Guild on the planet Kashyyyk with the recapture of a CR90 corvette in 1.5 ABY." I believe you are trying to refer to a single spacer here. If so, please correct the sentence.
- The one sentence in the Role section is a bit awkward. I would suggest changing it around to make it read smoother.
- I would refer to the spacer in the History section as being a freelancer.
- That's all I have. Kilson Likes PIE(The Bakery) 21:01, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, I was unaware of this. Thanks for telling me. When you nom the article, I'll support.Kilson(Let's have a chat) 10:41, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
Re: Lobarorr
Edit
OK, this is what I found:
- In the intro, "...jealous of Takook's spear, a Kashyyyk bladestick that belonged to his father Chatook." I would replace his with Takook's to make the sentence clearer.
- I would mention in the intro that the spacer was "hired by a concerned Chatook" or something similar.
- I don't believe you need the last sentence of the intro, as it really deals more with Chatook that Lobarorr, but it's up to you.
- "...including that they were heading towards the Rryatt Trail." Elaborate on "they" to make the sentence clearer.
- "During his search, the spacer..." I think you know what's wrong here.
- "Takook had recorded it before his death and in it, he pleaded with whomever found it to find Lobarorr and retrieve his father's spear. Takook felt that letting Lobarorr keep it would be a dishonor to him." You can probably combine these two sentences to make it read smoother.
- "Chatook asked the spacer to leave him to his despair, which they did." Once again, a little unnecessary, but up to you.
- And that's all I have. After you correct these, I'll support the article when you nom it. As usual, nice job. Kilson(Let's have a chat) 10:59, April 22, 2011 (UTC)

Barn-burner: Halfway home
Edit
Hey there, Olioster.

I want to thank you for your efforts so far during Wookieepedia's first barn-burner. This is a not-so-personal message that's being sent out to every participant, but rest assured that everybody affiliated with this project deserves the highest praise. I've been very pleased with the number of users who have been writing, nominating, and reviewing Wookiees and Wookiee-related articles this month. Awesome job, all of you.
We're a little past the halfway mark, and at this point, I'd like to encourage everybody to focus their efforts on reviewing. Many users have been reviewing a lot already, and yes, you're absolutely welcome and encouraged to continue writing and nominating articles at this point. I just want to encourage everyone to take some time and help out others, which was one of the original purposes of this project. Additionally, the more reviewing that we all participate in, the more articles we can see promoted before the end of the month. Anything promoted after the end of May will still count as being part of the barn-burner, but it would be cool to get as much through as we can before then.
We have a list of current nominations for handy reference. If you feel inclined, find some that tickle your fancy and go nuts. Thanks again for all of your hard work. Cheers. Menkooroo 06:58, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

The Dathomir quarantine
Edit
Hey Oli, I know you're a go-to guy for SWG information, so I was wondering if you could help me out. I'm looking for any information you can offer regarding the updated content released about a year or more ago. Specifically, I was hoping you could provide some information on the Death Troopers content on Dathomir, such as the story behind the quarantine, Dr. Zahara Cody's and Trig Longo's actions during the game, and any missions the player character undertakes in the zone. There's no major rush, but if you could give me whatever information you can when you have the chance, it would be much appreciated. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 08:25, July 27, 2011 (UTC)

Hello Olioster, I just made an edit to the Jaina Solo page under the force powers and abilities section since the sentence was gramatically incorrect and needed some fine tuning. I have made updates in the past.
Thank You very much :)

concerning the origins and naming of hoth, it you read "Darth Bane, Path of Destruction" and "Darth Bane, Rule of Two". they talk about the hoth system being the way it is as after effects of the thought bomb and after that was named for Jedi Master, General Hoth. this for some reason isnt taken into account it the history of the system listed on this site.

- "He worked as a salvager with the group that had established the salvager camp near the ruined Jedi Enclave on the planet." It seems in the intro that he joined a group of salvagers but here it sounds like he established the group with them.
- Bio- While I know what you mean, saying "in hopes of a big score" is colloquial and could be rewritten.
- Could you state whether or not the Jedi Exile killed the laigreks? JangFett (Talk) 23:00, March 27, 2012 (UTC)
WP:VG group project
Edit
Hey, Oli. Recently, a discussion was brought up in one of the forums for WP:VG. The topic, seen here, is a discussion of a group project. Corellian Premier originally came up with the idea, and he thought perhaps the Battlefront series would be a good one to work on. Anyway, if you have any thoughts and/or are interested in helping out, feel free to join in on the discussion, and we'll see what we can do with this. Cheers!—Cal Jedi

I knew there had to be an ulterior motive to that. :P Your big issues are sourcing ones. You're going to have to source who Salacious is B Crumb is, that Jabba's Palace is on Tatooine (you might want to have a note explaining how you know it's Jabba's palace, too), how you know the anniversary event lasted between those dates, and, because of those, everything else. :P. You also should probably put in a reference to 0 ABY. NaruHina Talk

- I was wondering how the battle was mentioned in the Trading Card Game, and I don't see that you mentioned it. It seems to me that you should at least mention the TCG scenario in the BTS. Unfortunately, I do not have the beginning or ending scenario information, but I do have the images of all the cards. (Note: They are all from "Squadrons over Corellia", which is the set that the encounter/scenario took place in.)
- The "Tusken King" avatar card says that "The Sand People are raging due your theft of their relics. They are slaughtering everyone in Mos Espa."
- I believe the following cards from the Squadrons of Corellia set can be said to picture the Battle of Mos Espa: "Army of Tuskens", (Tuskens charging into the city) "Tusken Berserker", (A Tusken fighting in a cantina), "Tusken Bantha" (Banthas attacking people), and "Tusken Fury" (Tuskens charging into the city at a group of fleeing people).
- The "Mos Espa Medic" card actually mentions the battle, but does not picture it. From this card you can say that there were medics participating in the battle. The "Mos Espa Militia" card indirectly mentions the battle.
- The following cards picture Tuskens in or around a city that looks like Mos Espa. They are not actively fighting, but since they were used in the scenario I believe they should count. The cards are "Tusken Honor Guard" (A Tusken standing outside of the city with a gun), "Tusken Hunter" (He's planting a flag or something or that sort), "Tusken Massiff" (A Tusken with two massiffs inside of the city), Tusken Raid Leader (Some Tuskens in Mos Espa), "Tusken Savage" (A Tusken in Mos Espa), and "Tusken Sniper" (A Tusken pointing a rifle at people in Mos Espa). I'm not sure if these actually picture the battle, but they are pretty close. Probably count as indirect mentions or pictured onlys. "Savage Attackers" (The second picture in the article) and "Tusken Raider" (A Tusken about to strike a Human, I think?) might be considered to picture the battle since there is fighting pictured and they were used for the encounter.
- I can't think of anything to add from the galaxies portion of the information, but if you can locate any applicable quotes it would be great. Perhaps, Starsider could get you a quote or two. Getting him to look it over would be good if he has the time. He might notice something that I have missed. Good work with this article.--Exiled Jedi

Galactic Showcases
Edit
Hello Olioster. I see you knew SW Galaxies very well, so I tink you'll be able to answer my question. I came across various "Galactic Showcases" on the Internet, and I was wondering if their content was anything canonical or sheer player-made fanon. I've tried to figure out by myself, but SWG data is something of a mess since the game ended. Thanks in advance. ;-) --LelalMekha 15:50, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
- I see. Thank you for your quick answers anyway. Things are better like that--the Showcases content was way too outlandish sometimes. Oh, by the way, I've found something that may be of interest to you, if you don't already know it. I came across the webpage[1] of Jason Temujin Minor, who was Character Lead and eventually Art Director of Galaxies. If you look in his portfolio, you'll a pair of great 3D renders. It's a shame thay are non-canon, for some of them could have been useful. --LelalMekha 16:01, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
Barn-burner 4
Edit
I would just like to thank you for your participation in the barn-burner. So far only three article have been nominated, but we have ten more being nominated. If you have time, please stop over at the review pages and give the barn-burner articles a review. Since some people wanted the barn-burner to be in June, I was thinking that we should extend it through June to catch more nominations. If you have any comments please reply on the Barn-burner page. Thank you for your participation!--Exiled Jedi
