Thanks and a couple of invitations Edit

Thanks for the quick save on the Hazmat armor page I really needed it so 1 good turn deserves another. Before your off to your further studies I thought so to further satiate your SW "addiction" why not come on over to Star Wars Fanon Wiki for the creation of your own original characters, ships, and or technology. And if thats not enough for you I am also the creator of Battlestar Galactica Fanon Wiki for the creation of any BSG related fan fiction.

So far Galactica Fanon only consists of 1 Galactica fan and 4 Star Trek Fans (including me) so another fan from another series would help if only somewhat even out things. Call me back either here or on my usual talk page here On Memory Gamma. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks! -- Lindsay Lohan Phoenix 07:33, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Warnings Edit

When an administrator is giving a user a warning, please refrain from taking the situation further. I made my comments about Mauser's language, which was derisive, because I felt like it was a trend that needed to be stopped. It was not an invitation for you or others to attempt to accuse me of bias based on agreement. Believe it or not, I actually agree that the article should be deleted, however I am not apt to support the attitude that led to the TC. In the future, please try to stay out of it unless you're directly involved. If you feel you absolutely must say something, please use proper channels such as user e-mail or the Administrator's noticeboard if it's that extreme. Graestan(Talk) 04:17, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

KotOR strategy guide Edit

Hey, I have that strategy guide. Let me know what you need to know onmy talk page.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 17:25, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

  • OK, I'll actually be busy today, I gotta get my brother some football socks. But I'll let you know either later today or tomorrow. Unfortunately, I can't be of any help as far as a computerized copy, perhaps Darth Culator can be of assistance?--Jedi Kasra (talk) 14:28, September 11, 2009 (UTC)
  • OK, I read it, and Ixgil and his Duro friend aren't mentioned. The Sith trooper and his droids are the only people mentioned. If there's anything else you need from the guide, let me know.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 14:11, September 12, 2009 (UTC)
  • Sorry for not getting back to you sooner on this. Yes, the guide does say that, apparently they were mistaken. It does mention the merchant in the apartments, though. The guide is not as exhaustive as the sequel's guide. Please let me know if you require anything else.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 15:33, September 16, 2009 (UTC)
  • By the way, congrats on getting Ixgil successfully GA'd.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 15:51, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

LSO articles Edit

Hello! I created an article on Maurice Murphy towards the beginning of the year, and later I created an article on Tim Hugh. Neither of these were deleted or even suggested as being worthy of deletion, so I figured that these articles would be appropriate. I'm only creating articles for the principal members. I was hoping I could get each of them to turn out like the one on Maurice Murphy. I have also considered them to be as relative as articles that are stubs on production staff members. If I am wrong, please tell me. Thanks! Master Fredcerique 21:38, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry. I can't. My school's computers block it (IRC). These are the computers I use. I can try on my iPod, but it will take forever. Master Fredcerique 21:48, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

Soresu, I redirected instead of deleting to prevent recreation. I agree that no one would search for it, but the editor who added it seems intent on creating scenario pages, so I'm pre-empting it :) - Cavalier OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 09:21, December 9, 2009 (UTC)

Re:More requests Edit

That's no problem, I like to help out. The more KotOR-themed articles pass the GA and FA's, the better. I'll look over it, make a list and give it to you, hopefully by tomorrow. Gonna be busy today.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 12:49, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey Soresu, got something for ya. I don't have the list yet, but I noticed that you're working on the merchant who gets hassled by the bounty hunters in the Upper City. He's mentioned in the guide as a possible chance to give light or dark side points, so you can add the guide to his source on the article.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 08:00, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
    • No problem, I'll get that list for you either later today or tomorrow. Let me know if you need anything else.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 08:07, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
  • Here's a list of the people mentioned in the Upper City (not including vendors):
    • Two children (boy and girl)
    • Unidentified Ithorian
    • Gorton Colu
    • Three drunk men

Review Edit

I apologize if this message seems like it is coming out of the blue. I meant to leave this before, but I never got around to it. I wanted to let you know, Soresu, that reversing a reviewer's copy-edit or part of their copy-edit to one of your nominations after the nomination has already passed is considered to be bad form. I noticed that you did so on your Kadir (Tarisian) article following my copy-edit and archiving of the nomination. This is something the AC and Inq looks down upon. Just something to keep in mind. Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:02, January 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • You're welcome to keep it at whatever version you feel is best, but again just something to keep in mind. I figure it's best you hear it from me first before someone accuses you of bad faith, because this sort of thing has happened with other users in the past. Also, if you do feel something in a review needs to be reverted, it may be best to discuss the matter with the reviewer. Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:15, January 14, 2010 (UTC)

You deserve this… Edit

Jedi Kasra has awarded you a Wookiee Cookie!
For your great work on the minor characters in KotOR.

The minor characters tend to get overlooked. You dedicate yourself to creating articles and expanding on these characters. More articles like these need to exist, and be at the highest available quality. I'm glad you recognize this. Hopefully, you'll do this for the other planets, as well.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 23:13, January 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • Don't worry, KOTOR is a big game. The Upper City is less than 1/100th of the total game. There's plenty more to come. Thanks Kasra :) SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is the truth) 09:11, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

Why? Edit

You mentioned on Galen Merik's page that having two Wookiepedia accounts at the same time is frowned upon and is even worth being banned for. Why is that?--Bonslywizard 02:50, January 30, 2010 (UTC)

Project Edit

Hey Soresu. How is everything? Sorry about my extended leave. I had an urgent RL situation last Fall that left me with no time for the Wook. Things are settling down so I plan on being around on a limited basis for now - at least a couple of times a week. As I told Kasra, I'm relieved that the KotOR story is ending since the project can now be whipped into shape without constantly worrying about updating. I should be around on IRC so if you need anything you can find me there or leave me a message. Cylka-talk- 19:52, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

BBY-ABY algebra Edit

I've been trying to understand the formula you used for Sapphire's birthdate but I still cannot see it. But I think I need to understand it; many OS I deal with tell me a person's age in a ABY date and I'm to calculate her birth date sometime BBY. So: If Sapph' was 22 in 2 ABY, then: She was 21 in 1 ABY; she was 20 in 0 ABY; she was 19 in 0 BBY; she was 18 in 1 BBY; she was 8 in 11 BBY; she was 1 in 18 BBY; and she was born in 19 BBY. That's my math, based on the fact that there was one 0 BBY and one 0 ABY. Can you explain me your method (and source it if applicable)? Skippy Farlstendoiro 07:39, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

CSWE Request Edit

Hey Soresu,

See here. For future reference, you can always post your requests here and one of will get to them asap.Tommy 9281 13:29, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Re:More KotOR Edit

No problem, Soresu. I'll get the list to you ASAP, probably tomorrow.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 19:35, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey Soresu, a few personal issues have come up, but I'll get those lists to you Monday. Sorry for any inconvenience.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 16:04, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
    • If I am not mistaken, yes, he was mentioned in the guide. You will have to point out that he does not appear if Revan chooses to talk to Sarna at the Upper City Cantina, and gets the uniforms form her after she (or Yun Genda if female) and the other Sith at the party pass out from drinking. And I have taken care of the personal issues, and should have the lists for you by tomorrow or Sunday.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 01:13, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
      • OK, it does mention the Aqualish you're looking for, and it even has a pic of him being interrogated by one of the three Sith troopers. The only other people the guide mentions in or near the North Apartments are the two racist kids and the Ithorian that is the subject of their wrath. I'm not sure if you want to mention the three drunk dudes that you have to pass by to get to Janice Nall's. Don't forget T3-H8, whom you can buy from Nall. And of course, there's Gorton Colu. Also, you might be interested in working on Gurney, Zelka Forn's assistant. And there's always Gana Lavin. Other than those people, not really anybody else noteworthy in either side of the Upper City. I apologize for getting this to you so late, it hasn't been a very good week for me. But please, don't hesitate to ask if you need anything else. Lower City, perhaps?--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 15:36, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
  • I'll have those appearances for ya tomorrow. I've always believed that with decisions like these that don't affect alignment, that the least aggressive responses go in the body, and the other responses go in the BTS. So I would say put the persuasion route in the body, and the part that leads to a fight outside in the BTS. If you want, I'll see if she has an entry in the CSWE.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 19:17, July 11, 2010 (UTC)
    • No problem, man, it's up to guys like me, you, and Nayayen to keep the project up, you know?--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 04:55, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
      • All the duelists are both mentioned and get screenshots from the game. A few differences are that both Marl and Ice appear bald, and Gerlon Two-Fingers is dark-skinned. Gana Lavin also is mentioned and makes an appearance in a screenshot. In the screenshot, it depicts the confrontation between you and her Rodian guards. The image is captioned "Engaging the Rodian scum!" and the text says, "If you insult the cantina patron Gana Lavin, you'll face two Rodian scum near the store tower in battle!" Garouk is mentioned and appears in a screenshot, and Niklos is also mentioned. Ajuur, of course, is mentioned and appears in screenshot, as does Bendak. Hope this helps!--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 17:02, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

First off, thanks for the future reviews. Anyway, I've considered what you said about the leadership of the KotOR Project. I'll assume leadership of the project only if you ask the admins, Inqs, or even other project leads, and they approve. I also want them to know that I will hand the position back to Cylka, should she want it when she comes back. I only view myself as an adequate user. It'll be funny if I am approved, cause I might be the only project lead that can't access IRC!--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 23:39, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Thank You Edit

Thanx for the "Cookie". My first one! Havin' loads of fun, and still plenty to do! Daltondarkstar 18:26, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Soresu, thanks for all the GAN reviews. I just thought I'd point out your objection to Darth Caedus has been addressed. --Eyrezer 03:44, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's been taken care of. Thanks for the notice. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is the truth) 04:38, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Notability Edit

Hey Soresu. I'm happy to hear that you are ready to nominate more articles. Keep up the good work! You have brought up a good point about the notability of the unidentified characters. I've been doing some thinking and I've realized that there isn't a very good solution to all of this and that it will still have to be taken on a case-by-case basis. I can, however, tell you my general opinion and then you can decide from there.

  • As for those two bounty hunters that are in that image you uploaded, I would say that they could get their own articles. I tend to be an inclusionist, especially with the KotOR games, so if we assume 100% LS game completion, then Revan would have run into them and no matter which dialog option you chose, you would have to kill them. They both worked for Davik and they each had individual dialog. That is enough for me.
  • Any character that can give you LS/DS points seems to be notable enough to deserve an article. When it comes to those three drunk guys, each of them should have a separate article. You may have to get creative with the names, for example [[Unidentified intoxicated Tarisian male(left)]], and IIRC, each of them has a little something different to say.
  • I highly doubt that anyone you meet that you can't interact with deserves their own article. At most they can be added as a footnote to another article, such as the merchants to the Taris planet article.
  • Those involved in quests or characters that must be met would seem to deserve their own articles. When it comes to those in cutscenes - that is at your discretion.
  • I think that some characters that you can talk to don't deserve their own articles. I'm thinking of Manaan during the scene where the Republic agent is recruiting a bounty hunter. That is sort of a cutscene/interaction situation. Neither one of them should have their own articles, and instead they could be mentioned in other articles, such as the Ahto City or Manaan planet article.
  • When it comes to those that you meet in combat, I would hesitate to say that they would need their own article - for example a member of the Black Vulkars that you would fight. I would simply add a line or two about a "typical" gang member in the article about the Vulkars. The only exception to this would be a character that you would meet in combat and interact with on some level, etc.

I think that so far, you have been using good judgment and I'm sure that you will continue to do so. Any characters that are very iffy, we can discuss later. I'm also thinking that if you like, you can start a new forum page where you can list any characters, before creating articles, that you are uncertain of their notability and then I or others can give their opinion on them. That may save you some hassle in the end. I hope that this has helped. Cylka-talk- 20:45, April 8, 2010 (UTC)

GAN Edit

Hello, Soresu. Just FYI that Eyrezer has addressed your outstanding objection to the Salissian GAN going on four days now. The nomination will be eligible for successful archiving in a handful of hours, so it would be appreciated if you could take a look at it and resolve the issue if you're satisfied. Thanks. Procedure CT Edit

Hey, Soresu. Just letting you know that we've tweaked the wording of the CT on procedure so that a reply is not required. The new wording features this clause removed from option one: "All users who have cast votes prior to the desired change to be included are directly contacted and have expressed either their approval or rejection of said change by commenting under their vote, or the alteration to the vote is rendered invalid." I also want to emphasize that there are two options in the proposal, not that both must be done, and this has always been the case with this idea. Thanks. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 19:58, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

RE:Prima Guide Edit

I actually don't have the Prima Guide. I asked Kasra to tell me what it said about the Jedi. He gave me this sentence: "Prior to reaching the bridge, you witness a fight pitting a Dark Jedi against one of your own Jedi masters. Alas, both fall!" So, he's a Dark Jedi, I guess. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 21:55, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Marka GAN Edit

When you have the chance, please check your objection to the Marka GAN. It was addressed over two weeks ago, and the ACs may vote to strike it if it holds up the nomination. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 21:12, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Ct change Edit

  • Further amendments have been made to the "Grey Cadre" section of voting in the comprehensive articles vote, specifically the outlining of no self-votes being allowed, and the removal of the "vote bypass" clause in the trial page's rules section. Please review the amendments and make sure that you are still satisfied to support the initiative. Thefourdotelipsis 05:29, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry I missed your request in IRC before you logged out. But I would definitely support Kasra becoming project lead. I'm not a member of the project... but I still support it! Menkooroo 02:49, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

    • OK, that's two admins/Inqs and three users. You think that's enough? If so, I'll assume leadership of the project Monday. I'll send messages to most of the project members asking if they want to continue to participate, giving them a deadline of one week to respond before removal from the users liet. I will not remove Cylka from the list. There will be no reorganization meeting on IRC, if there is, I cannot attend, and will leave notes. After the aforementioned deadline, I'd like to talk about the recent stuff about the last Inq meeting, with the Jedi Civil War issues and all. Your thoughts?--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 03:47, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Soresu,

I would support such a motion, but under different circumstances. Cylka has been away on personal business for some time, but I do not believe that she is no longer interested in maintaining her position as the project lead. Kasra, yes, is the most active/productive KOTOR project member. Perhaps assigning him to serve as the project's chief editor, the same capacity in which Jonjedigrandmaster serves on WP:NSW, would be more prudent. Other members could/would then be able to defer to his superior knowledge if the need arose, and that would also allow Cylka to resume her duties upon her return. Hope this helps, let me know what you think.Tommy 9281 20:48, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

Re: GratsEdit

Thanks for your kind words, Soresu. Yes, I approve of the template. As Palps would say, "Fire at will, Commander." And as far as Educorps, why not? Just so long as it's made clear that I can't attend any IRC meetings until further notice.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 09:03, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

I agree, thank you for not trash talking me and posting me a reasonable notice, im sure my article will be deleted or sent to the garbage, oh well.

RE: Award Edit

Thanks a bunch! I was attempting to work my way up to writing lareger pieces for articles, but I kind of got stuck on my goal of updating/referencing/sourcing ALL system pages, instead of just the Mid Rim. I am not confident in my abilities to help write an article quite yet, but I am learning a lot from reading/editing all the other articles I come accross. Thanks again for the award, I'm glad that I am able to contribute! TK-299 (Click Here) Imperial Emblem 06:16, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

Palmer CAN Edit

Hello there, what is the formal way to remove a CAN? Although I can't put Palmer up for GAN because I am temporarily tapped out on GANs. Thanks again for the advice. Corellian PremierAll along the watchtower 14:23, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

QOTD question for you. Edit

I am wondering if the Yoda and Darth Vader TomTom videos on could be used as a quote of the day? I read up on how to nominate a quote, and I was wanting to nominate both a Yoda quote now and a Vader quote later. I am not sure if they would qualify as a Real World quote though. Is there any way you can help me? TK-299 (Click Here) Imperial Emblem 07:48, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

  • Sorry, I meant to ask if it would qualify as a Reference in other media qoute, not the Real World, qoutes. TK-299 (Click Here) Imperial Emblem 07:54, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

Wookiee Trade Guild CAN Edit

Hey Soresu, just reminding you that you have outstanding objections to the Wookiee Trade Guild CAN. Can you check the nomination over and see if they can be stricken or not? Thanks, - Cavalier OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 09:47, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

WP:KOTOR meetings Edit

As I was adding the meeting logs from last nights meeting, I come with and idea about meeting subpage, so I raised the discussion in Forum:Organising meetings. Please take a look and give comments, thanks. (: --Tm_T (Talk) 12:06, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

List Edit

I had to leave early, so I didn't really get to understand about this list. By adding my name, what does that do? Allow me to access a list of resources to use as references and sources for articles, right?DarthRageLeave a message after the beep

  • I only own the two Kotor games, though I may look into buying the comics. I do know a good deal about those games though. You can list the games, but I have to look into those games. DarthRageLeave a message after the beep 23:08, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

question Edit

Do you have X-wing Alliance? If so could you upload a screen shot with the Sabra in flight that is sharper than the one they have?

Drexl-class starfighter CAN Edit

Not sure what you are suggesting I need to add to the article. The description states "roomy 2 person cockpit" and that it was short ranged, so I am not sure why I need to specify the data from the infobox that it has a crew of 2 with no passengers and that it has 2 days of consumables. It just seems to be a bit redundant.<-Omicron 18:57, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

Bodo Baas's Master Edit

Hi! What to do with Bodo Baas's Master? The JvS:EGTTF states that Baas retold his Master's prophecy. In Dark Empire 6, Baas says "my own master". No other mentions of this individual. Should I reduce him to a mere Force-user in the article? Darth Morrt 14:32, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

Re: KotOR project Edit

Hey, thanks for the warm greeting. I do plan to CA these two guys eventually, or maybe even go for a GA; it's possible that they will exceed 250 words. As for the Sith armor thing, that was pretty much a lucky guess. My initial plan was to try to avoid getting into the argument between the merchant and the bounty hunters at the beginning of the game—which I successfully did by not coming too close to them—so that I could bring Bastila with me later and see if she could mind trick them to let the merchant go (that's my weird logic, don't ask :P). However, once I acquired the Sith armor, I decided to try interacting with various NPCs while wearing it and see if that would change any of the dialogue. Turns out, it does change the people's responses quite a bit, though mostly they just beg you not to hurt them and claim that they have nothing to hide from the Sith. However, there is a major change in dialogue during the confrontation with the bounty hunters who threaten the merchant. Instead of seeing you as a witness, they remind you that Davik has an agreement with the Sith, according to which, the Sith don't interfere in Davik's business and vice versa. You can try to order them to release the merchant, but the bounty hunters will reply that they take orders from Davik only and will attack you. After being rescued, the merchant will say that apparently the Sith "are not that bad," but he will still be frightened and will promptly leave. A few other notable responses came from Zelka Forn, Gurney and Gorton Colu. Both Forn and Colu state that they have the necessary permits to conduct their respective businesses, while Gurney assures you that for a price, he will inform the Sith if he hears something they should know. I've already added the new info to Forn and Colu's articles. Oh, and the three drunkards in the northern Upper City will avoid you instead of molesting you :P That's pretty much it. There aren't that many places that you can visit in the armor. The Sith Guard won't let you in the Upper City Cantina in the uniform, while the Rodian bouncer and the Hidden Bek lookout will not allow you to enter Javyar's Cantina and the Hidden Bek base, respectively. And if you're still wondering, no, Bastila's presence does not change anything in the situation with the bullied merchant. Neither does Mission's or Zaalbar's. Force Choke Edit

can the ability, Force Choke be used on two victims, similtaniously (at the same time), one being choked with each hand? Is that possible?

Joev14 06:10, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

Yes. In fact, using choke doesn't require physical use of the hand. It's just a visual effect to help with its usage and to tell the audience what's happening. I know that at least Darth Malak uses it on two Jedi simultaneously on the Star Forge. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is the truth) 06:44, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

It has been an honor working with such an excellent user as you; your contribution to the site and WP:KOTOR will be sorely missed. I'll be praying that you succeed in school and the other issues.
