The Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc V-1 thermal detonator was a thermal detonator that was calibrated to maximize enemy casualties within its blast radius.[1] It bore a similar design to the Class-A thermal detonator also manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions but had a slate-gray shell instead of the Class-A's reflective shell. During the Clone Wars, it was the grenade of choice for both sides of the conflict and were utilized by Galactic Republic Clone troopers, ARC troopers, clone sharpshooters, clone jet troopers, clone heavy troopers, as well as Confederacy of Independent Systems assault battle droids and battle droid assassins on various battlefronts.[2] Merr-Sonn denied selling thermal detonators to the Separatists, yet many droids had been seen carrying V-1 thermal detonators on the battlefield.[1]
