Varko was an admiral in Darth Malak's Sith fleet. He assumed Saul Karath's position as Malak's second-in-command when Karath was killed by Carth Onasi aboard the Leviathan.
[edit] Behind the scenes
Varko only appears in one short cutscene near the end of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and he is never named in the game. "Admiral Varko" is the name that would appear if the player met him in the game and moved the cursor over him. It is taken from his character sheet file (.utc). The name is visible if one chooses to check the dialogue box after the cutscene that plays when you enter the Temple of the Ancients.
