Varos was a species of fruit native to the planet Mandalore. Varos grew in the Outer Rim world's warm tropic region. They were among one of many varied fruits that Mandalorians used to distill the alcoholic beverage tihaar. Varos were known for their velvety aroma when ripe.^[1]

The Mandalorian soldier Kal Skirata enjoyed both the smell of varos fruit, and the blend of tihaar that could be distilled from varos. Due to their growth in Mandalore's tropic region, Skirata viewed finding varos distilled tihaar in the north to be a rare treat.^[1]
